Mayo Family Winery Reserve Room in Kenwood

One of the best and very memorable wine tasting experience. Mayo Family winery produces a limited number of barrels per year and they explain the origin of the wine and how it was made in the tasting. They say stories make an experience memorable, and they nail this. There are 6 wine tastings with food pairings and one dessert with a dessert wine. The dessert wine was very flowery and fruity, like those wines that go to your head without you even you realising. The chefs are very accommodating to cater vegetarian options in the food pairings.

Wow! The food and wine pairing was one of the best experiences of my life. Chef John is a master at this! My vegan pairings were equally as impressive as my boyfriends non-vegan pairings. My partner felt the same and we both walked away having learned more about wine. Oh, and we were so inspired, the next day we made the corn chowder recipe from the website and paired it with the Mayo Chardonnay. We will be recreating these pairings until we can make it back. Magnificent. Made up for the terrible experience I had at Market Tavern (Dublin location) just earlier in the same week (did two birthday celebrations for my GF).The service here is phenomenal. They are storytellers not just servers. Food was sensational and the wine was really good.Left a 50% tip, thats how great the service and experience was.

The Mayo Food & Wine Pairing was absolutely phenomenal! Chef John created the perfect food and wine pairings. He spent time with us explaining each scrumptious tasting and wine. Their small batch wines were unique and delightful. The food pairing menu changes every few months/seasons and we cant wait to go back! You wont be disappointed!

Outstanding Service and attention to detail. I know we were not the only ones present but we felt as if we were. The wine and food paring was amazing! I have been to many food and wine pairings in the last few years and, although the staff and chef were attentive, both the food and wines fell short. We wont repeat this one. We had food and wine pairings at Bricoleur and Kendall Jackson this trip and they were amazing. In addition, the tasting room on Sonoma Highway in Kenwood is less than inviting. There are so many more beautiful settings.

Enjoyed an awesome wine and food pairing at the Mayo Family Reserve Room. So educational-loved the passion, enthusiasm and quality of the wine and food. The owner was so considerate and helpful in accommodating our last minute request. Can’t wait to visit again!

Our experience with Anne and John at the Mayo Room was the highlight of our Napa and Sonoma weekend. We double booked ourselves, and they were so incredibly accommodating of our tight schedule. The wine and food was absolutely incredible!!! I cannot recommend this experience enough. My first wine tasting and I found it extremely appealing. John was the consummate host paired with chef Jeff whom was equally informative and talented. The setting was intimate, and pleasant. A wonderful way to spend the afternoon with friends.
