We were actually going to Thai Pepper and saw this place. It looked so cozy, and just had to try it out. Our waiter gave us recommendations and we were glad we took it! Everything was delicious. Loved the ambiance, and the service was super friendly.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!We found this restaurant “accidentally” a few years ago and go back regularly.As others have said - best Italian in Orange County! Owners welcome you and stop by each table - feels like we are visiting friends. Try to make reservations - it can get busy but they will do whatever they can to accommodate!

First time coming to this Italian restaurant and it was a very very good choice! :-)We are staying at a nearby hotel and I googled Italian restaurants around the area and read the reviews and look at the menu and decided to come here to carbo-load for a race we are running tomorrow on Sunday 6 February. Well the choice was well-founded! the place is outstanding and we knew it was when we walked in and it was full! The food we had was awesomely prepared and the service was outstanding! The food is spectacular. My wife and I split the Rustica pizza and the Pasta Alla Paesana. The tomatoes and olives tasted so fresh; the crust was cooked perfectly. Easily one of the best pizzas Ive ever had. The Paesana dish with meatballs was delicious, perfect amount of garlic. The bread and the house made spreads were both amazing. Laura provided great customer service and was very helpful. You can tell she takes pride in her establishment and is passionate about the menu. Cant wait to go back and try more dishes!!!

My oh myWe were looking to eat some delicious Italian food. We came in close to closing unintentionally and we’re still greeted with such a welcoming hospitality. The atmosphere is very lively, the restaurant was small but held enough character and good vibes for it to be enjoyable. And the food…. Omg the food. Did I mention we came in late? 10/10 rating regardless! We’ve never had such lovely service and great food. No complaints here ! I ordered the fettuccini ai funghi, and added shrimp. Wonderful dish! Can confidently say this is the best fettuccini I’ve ever had.

What a hidden gem. I was invited by a friend to meet for dinner. This place is cozy and inviting. The service is great. The owner, Laura moves through the restaurant chatting with the loyal patrons as if family. I was a bit jealous until she came to our table to ensure we were happy and made us feel just as special. I had the lobster ravioli in cream sauce, delicious. Cant wait to go back!

Like Olive Garden but better, fresher, more authentic Italian cuisine. I had the Lobster bisque and linguini alla Diavolo. I think the chef sprinkles heroine in the bisque because that flavor is habit forming, and yes there are nice little lobster chunks in it. Seafood was fresh, and not over cooked, and the pasta was al dente. Service was very friendly, the owner came around to make sure our meal was satisfactory. Be sure to call and make a reservation, the seating is limited.

Weve been coming here for over a year since we discovered it. Laura is the owner and she makes everyone feel welcome and at home. Everything Ive eaten here has been delicious and cooked perfectly, but my favorite by far is the branzino special. Rarely have I had such amazing fish, and Mazara makes it perfect every time.Small, intimate setting, with a great wine selection. If I could afford to Id eat here every week.

AMAZING! Our group had pasta a la vodka, lasagna, and pizza with crumbled sausage and peppers.. Every thing was so fresh and just amazing. We also enjoyed a cheese cake. We made reservations even for a weekday. So it gets pretty busy and i understand why. Cant wait to go back for some lasagna!

We visited for our third time recently. I really love this restaurant - Its not too fancy, but the food is really delicious, the best Italian Ive had in years. Treat yourself to a good glass of wine, add a little homemade dessert and a cappuccino afterward and youve got the perfect finish to a perfect meal.

Even though it is just around the corner from where we live, we only recently found this gem of a restaurant. We were so enamored on our first try, that we had been back for three consecutive weekends. Excellent food, really good service. A close space - just one narrow bay in a busy strip mall. But when you walk in you forget its a strip mall. Its well decorated. There are good-quality dishes and glassware, cloth napkins. Ive yet to order a meal that wasnt delicious, and the dishes are presented beautifully. My wife says the tiramisu is the best shes had. Reservations arent required but are highly advisable. Youll really like Mazara. (Just one thing: pee before you go. The tiny bathroom is far in the back, through the kitchen.)

Laura was absolutely amazing!!! After a long beach day, my family and I just wanted some really good, filling food before an hour long drive back home. We found Mazara Trattorias menu pics on Google and all decided unanimously on this place. Crazy thing was they were closing within 30 mins. I called and asked if they would serve us if we came in so late. The friendly voice on the other end (which turned out to be Laura -the owner-) said If you can get here quickly, I will wait for you and serve you. We dashed in to find the most pleasant atmosphere. The waitress was amazing and very attentive. Laura was a bundle of love and gave us the greatest customer service Ive had all year. Even gave us a free dessert. All of our dishes were amazing... no one had leftovers to take home. I would recommend this place to everyone who loves Italian cuisine. LAURA: You can feel the love and passion within the walls and I hope that every table in your cucina stays filled every moment of any day your open. On the favorite list for sure. Thank you!

Since I love places where special orders dont upset us, Mazara is one of those eateries. The bread was fresh and delicious, I asked for a sinful Rigatoni Carbonara, no spaghetti please, double egg to finish the dish, and yes, grilled shrimp 🦐🦐 Cajun style! Amazing dish and then had a yummy cheesecake sitting atop a luscious raspberry puree and sprinkled with fresh berries for dessert. Delicious meal and cant wait to return for another great creation. Ive been popping into this place at least once a year for over ten years. Everytime I have visited the food has been amazing! I have never had table service, only togo orders. Dont expect to get your order in 10 mins or less, tho its totally worth the wait! I recommend to call ahead. However, you can decide to people watch while in this parking lot, highly entertaining. Try the vodka sauce!

These reviews must be fake. Gosh what a joke of a restaurant. Seated everyone else first. Took forever to set the table. Almost felt as though they were taking their sweet time. They cannot handle half of their occupancy. If you have a few hours to spare, I’m sure you’ll like it.

Our family planned a graduation dinner for a large group and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Mazara Trattoria hit the mark in so many ways. We ordered a mix of various dishes including special orders for those with dietary restrictions, and the food was absolutely delicious! The ingredients were fresh, and made from scratch and our guests enjoyed a great meal. In addition to the great food, I can’t say enough about the service except that it was first class! Thanks to the owners and staff at Mazara Trattoria, our family celebration was a success!

This was my first time eating at Mazara Trattoria’s and it was amazing! We ordered the Del Giardino, Rigatoni alla Vodka, and Pasta alla Paesana. The owner was so sweet and also let us try a new flatbread that they will be putting on the menu soon! All of it was DELICIOUS so it’s hard to say what my favorite dish was but if I had to choose I’d say the Rigatoni alla Vodka!Mazara Trattoria was following all CDC regulations: employees were wearing face masks, tables were 6ft apart from other diners, and there was frequent cleaning and disinfecting of the restaurant. Our server Mariana was so nice and friendly. She made sure our first experience of eating out post-quarantine was safe and enjoyable.Overall an amazing experience. I will definitely be a regular customer!

Best Italian food in Huntington Beach. The atmosphere was quaint and intimate. We had Italian speaking customers sitting next to us. It shouldnt matter but it gives it a more authentic feel. I ordered the Fettucine Ai Funghi. I ate this meal very slowly to savor every last bite. Laura tended to our every need, as she knew this was our first visit and made us feel like part of her family. To our surprise we received a complimentary desert of Tiramisu, which we had already planning on getting. We are now lifelong customers. We were advised that the weekends are very popular and reservations are highly recommended.

I want to try it again so we can have exposure to more of the dishes before I give it 5 stars. Id like to see more of the lighter pasta types like orecchiette or casarecce instead of mostly penne, spaghetti, & fettuccine. Definitely recommend if you are looking for delicious Italian.

This was our First and last time to try out this little Italian restaurant.They start you off with homemade sun-dried tomato pesto and bread. That is not too bad, but out of the five meals ordered, only one was halfway decent. The best meal was the fusilli with pesto.The service was slow and the first time they brought out the fettuccine special the noodles didnt bend. That apparently was what they thought pasta al dente was. Almost laughable.Our server was pleasant, but when Im coming to eat dinner, thats not what I would base my meal on.

I called in an order to go and was told twenty minutes. I had to wait over forty minutes after I arrived when I was told just five more minutes. I was not checked up on once while I waited. This is about the worst customer service I have ever received and once I was given my food I did not receive a single apology. The food was pipping hot and was clearly made while I was waiting there. Once I had my food I wish I had just gotten my money back rather than waste my time on their food. The food was fine but not worth the trouble of such terrible service.
