I recently underwent a hair transplant procedure and I must say, the results have been nothing short of miraculous. It’s been a year since my hair transplant at Dr Dieps office and I am ecstatic about the results! I didn’t realize how thin my hair was on my temple area until I saw the before an after. Wow! The pics speak for themselves! I highly recommend this procedure to anyone struggling with thinning hair.Dr Diep himself is a very knowledgeable hair Dr but he’s also very nice! Best in the business. And his staff is amazing! All are very nice and on top of it! Plus the patience they have is stellar! All such hard workers. They work late to accommodate your schedules so please be kind to them!The process itself was painless. I wanted to do hair transplant for a few years. My problem was that I was not very confident with the result of the hair transplant.I found Dr Diep through searching online and I like his hair transplant result. I had a consultation with him and he went over all the details.The day of surgery went smoothly for me. I did not have much pain on the following days. The only side effect of the surgery was that my face started to swell 2 days after the surgery which went away in a day or two (this is a common side effect).By month 4, my hairline was almost restored and I started to have more hair from there. By 12 months, I had amazing hair!!Overall, I am very happy with the hair transplant.

I first noticed my hair loss shortly after graduating college. It was not very dramatic in the beginning, so I dismissed it. However, as time progressed, it became worse and worse. My crown and vertex lost so much density that I felt and looked 10 years older; I was only 25 at the time. Hair means something different from one individual to the next. For me, it felt like I was losing a part of myself (quite literally, I suppose) and my identity and confidence took a hit. I thought I was doomed to suffer this fate, being dealt a losing hand in terms of the genetic lottery, until I stumbled upon hair transplant videos on YouTube. I fell down a rabbit hole, and thus began my hair transplant journey. I scoured the internet – forums, reviews, reddit, you name it – for potential doctors that I felt comfortable with. After all, this was going to be a big investment.Fast forward, and I eventually decided on Dr. Diep. This was due to several reasons. Firstly, he was one of the few doctors who had posted videos of his work before surgery, 6 months post-surgery, and 12 months-post surgery. If they say pictures are worth a thousand words, then videos are like full blown novels. Secondly, Dr. Diep seemed to have worked with a wide variety of hair types in his YouTube videos – Caucasians, African Americans, Asians, Hispanics; this was a definite plus. I am Asian myself, so my hair is thinner, and it was very important to me that the hair transplant doctor knew how to work with my hair type. I finally took the plunge and scheduled a consultation. I was classified as having a Norwood 3A hair loss pattern. Much to my surprise, he was fully booked and the earliest date they could squeeze me in was April of next year! I was a bit bummed, but I guess all good things are worth the wait.During my time leading up to the surgery date, I corresponded with the office regarding paperwork, payments, and any general questions. For the most part it was fine, a bit disorganized at times, but nothing major. It was mostly repeated questionnaires or notifications, but hey over communicating is better than under communicating right?So, on the big day, I arrived for my 2,500 FUE procedure bright and early. The office was clean and tidy, and the receptionist was very warm. She had me fill out any remaining paperwork and asked me to select my lunch option from restaurants nearby, which was quite unexpected since it was on the house. After a short wait, I met with Dr. Diep to go over the procedure details. He had excellent bed-side manners and was very thorough. He took the time to listen to my concerns and made it a point to ask what was most important to me when drawing up the lines for where to place my transplanted hair follicles. After I took my pre-op medication, we started the procedure. I was partially sedated but still semi-conscious. Dr. Diep personally extracted all my hair follicles (which I read is the most important part), and continuously monitored my pain level throughout. If I started to feel pain, he would reapply the local anesthesia. We took a break for lunch, and in the afternoon, several technicians implanted the extracted hair follicles per Dr. Diep’s design. After wrapping up, the office gave very specific post-op care instructions and sent me home with some meds, gauze, liner pads, and a hat to cover up my scalp. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience and even more so with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Diep to anyone who has been thinking about doing a hair transplant but is on the fence; it changed my life. I can go on and on, but it is mush easier to just show the results.

I had my procedure done 6 months ago, in January 2023. I was a bit nervous at first but Dr Diep and staff made me feel at home and relaxed. I did the FUE procedure, did not want a scar, and wanted the quicker recovery. I never used pain meds had slight discomfort but nothing major at all. After a few days scabs fell off and I was back at work after 7 days. The hardest part was the shedding process, even though I knew about it, I was still discouraged. After a month or so hair started growing in and fast. After 6 months I see my hairline fill in and more dense hair. I was told at 1 year is when you see results, I saw them at 6 months. I’m looking forward to my one year as Dr Diep mentioned hair will be thicker. I’m more confident and excited! I’m coming back to get the back my head filled in.Thank you Dr Diep and staff!

Dr. Diep is good at what he does.No doubt.This was my first procedure with Dr. Diep, but by second overall hair transplant. My procedure required just over 2400 grafts - transplanted via FUT method. I also included the A-cell, and I am certain that it improved my healing time. The results speak to the mans excellent work and aesthetic eye. My hair is not thick, so it took some skill and strategy to achieve a very good result. Is my hairline like it was in my twenties? No... but my confidence has increased significantly. It looks natural and the FUT scar is not noticeable with longer hair. If you go with Dr. Diep, ask questions. He is engaging and willing to educate and inform. His YouTube channel is great, and yes, he is an excellent salesman with a strong understanding of marketing and advertising. But he is also honest and manages your overall expectations. It is a surgery and not without discomfort/pain and some downtime. Please understand that. Lastly, know that it takes time and sometimes multiple procedures to achieve the desired result. MHTA is an excellent clinic and Dr. Diep is an outstanding surgeon. I would highly recommend his services!

Had 5K grafts done here few years ago. He said he harvested more grafts than planned during procedure and charged for it, so number went up. There was no way for me to verify anything.But only about 5% of the grafts grew back, and they dont seem to last long. Colossal flush down the toilet. To add to this, the donor wound was painful for many months. One star is also too high.

Two years ago, I was practically bald, like a Norwood type 7, and I wasnt sure if a hair transplant was even an option for me. But after doing some research and talking to Dr. Diep a couple of times, he gave me the confidence to go for it. He said he could restore most of my hair with just two (or three) operations.In May 2022, I had my first op, and Dr. Diep did a FUT transplant, putting in 3900 grafts over 14 hours. Even though I was nervous and anxious before op, Dr Diep and his staff made me feel comfortable and relaxed the whole time. The recovery was smooth too, and I could resume most of my daily activities in just a week.Now, a year later, my hairline has good density and it looks totally natural to me. Its been 7 months since I had my procedure and I couldnt be happier! The results were beyond my expectations. I was advance class 5 hair loss and required 5k grafts FUT method. You cant even see the scar when I cut my hair short on the sides and back. The scar is pretty thin and blends in well with the color of my skin. However, when I drink alcohol it turns a little red but doesnt stay red long. However, that doesnt bother me because thats a natural reaction to alcohol and the scar is so thin and its covered by my hair anyways. I have been getting nothing but great compliments from friends and family. Mater of fact another buddy of mine wants to get it done by Dr. Diep now since he saw how amazing my hair looks now :) Below is a pic of me before (on the day of surgery back in Sept. 2016) and some pics of my hair at various lengths (hair cut on sides and back only. I havent cut the top transplanted hair yet). I have a couple pics showing the scar as well. As you can see its very nice and thin. All the pics are either 6 and 7 months post op. My hair has been thinning and hairline receding since I was in my mid 20s. My hairline was becoming embarrassing as it kept getting higher and higher each year. I spent countless hours researching about hair loss to find a solution to my problem. I refused to use products like Rogane or Propecia. While researching, it seemed that a hair transplant procedure was the obvious and permanent answer. However, I didnt know who to approach for help as I did not know any family or friends that has gone through such a procedure. Even if they did, Im sure they wouldnt have mentioned about it. I spent about 1-2 years lurking around on forums like Hair Restoration Network to see doctors work from around the world. Thats when I found reviews about a doctor that creates the most natural hairline in the country. The hairline master, Dr. Diep! Its about time I contacted them and scheduled a consultation.I was able to do the consultation at the clinic in Los Gatos instead of a video consultation. Dr. Diep and his staff made me feel welcomed and at ease. They were able to answer all of my question. At the time, I didnt know if I was going with a FUT or FUE procedure. I met with Dr. Diep and he recommended me to do a 2500 FUE on my front hairline since I like to wear my hair short. You can always make money but cant undo a linear scar from a FUT procedure.On the day of the procedure, I came into the clinic at 6AM with barely any sleep as I was so nervous. A staff gave me a set of clothes to change into and asked me what I wanted for lunch. When lunch was decided, I met with Dr. Diep to sign a bunch of paperwork and gave me some pills to take before beginning the procedure. To be honest, I was knocked out 95% of the operation. I woke up once for lunch and another time when I started to feel a slight tingling sensation on my scalp. I fell asleep again shortly after. Dr. Diep was able to extract 2700 grafts. A little over 200 more grafts than initially planned. Overall, the procedure was very smooth and painless.I came back to the clinic the following day to let Dr. Diep take a look at my scalp and await further instructions. Another staff brought me to a room and gently washed my hair to demonstrate how to wash during the next few days without damaging any grafts. Its been such a great experience and wish I had it done sooner! I can see why there is a 7-9 month wait to have Dr. Diep perform such fantastic artwork. Its been over a year and my hairline is looking amazing! Ive posted normal post-surgery photos on social media and Ive received many comments like You look younger now and how are you ageing backwards??! No one seems to noticed that I got a FUE done. I am an African American man 54 years old and I had the FUE hair transplant procedure done to fix my receding hairline performed by Dr. Diep about 12 months ago and the result is fantastic. To correct my hairline and get it to look the way I wanted took 2,100 grafts/follicles and the procedure took about 9 hours or so. His office and surgery area was clean and sanitary, he and his staff were very nice and professional and they even bought me lunch mid-way through the procedure. Dr. Diep does such a great job with hair restorations he is in high demand as it took my almost a year to get on his schedule to get my procedure done but I must say it was well worth the wait. My friends could not believe the results and many could not tell I had a hair transplant done because it looks so natural. Dr. Diep did an exceptional job using the grafts to cover the hairline area properly, no gaps or bare areas. I highly recommend Doctor John Diep M.D. for hair transplant.I spent several months debating if I wanted to do a hair transplant. I casually did research online; reviewing techniques, risks, testaments, options, clinics, costs, doctors and hype. Most hair transplant doctors, including Dr. Diep, have free consultation. Over five weeks I consulted with three different clinics/doctors from my online research. One clinic/doctor seemed like a mill. Bring-em-in and pump them out. Very un-personable. Another clinic/doctor reminded me of a used-car sales person. He was telling me how great his work was and how happy I would be with the results, but he did not listen to my questions or gauge my apprehension.The consultation with Dr. Diep was very comfortable. First of all the clinic is very modern, tasteful and clean. The staff was very professional, but pleasant and comfortable. Dr. Diep, for my consultation, did not rush me. Of course I was nervous and tentative, but Dr. Diep explained my options, we discussed risks, what to expect on the day of the procedure and the days, weeks and month afterwards. One delicate concern that I had was if people would notice the procedure because it looked un-natural or obvious. Dr. Diep essentially drew on me where the hair would go and the density. Additionally, he showed me pictures of other transplants that he has done. There was no drama, just two people talking. Regarding costs, he drew me my options and relative costs. He did not pressure me into any decision, but I was comfortable in that he answered all my questions, and after some pondering I decided to schedule the hair transplant.On the day of the transplant, I arrived early in the morning, for my six hour procedure. The procedure room was quite large, extremely clean, and very comfortable. Dr. Diep and the Technician explained what to expect. I was given a local, there was no pain and I dowsed over the next few hours.Dr. Diep had very clearly explained what would go on during and after the transplant, both at the consultation and before and after the procedure. What he told me was spot-on to what I went through. The donor area had to be cleaned regularly, the redness of where the new hair was disappeared after four to six days. The swelling came down much sooner. There was some light scabbing around where the hair was transplanted and that lasted about two weeks. I actually went to work a week after the procedure and no one could really notice the change. The biggest discomfort was trying not to sleep on the transplanted area for a week or so and the tenderness where the donor hair came from. During the follow-up visit, in the waiting room, other customers were really impressed on how good and natural the transplants looked. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the results and the whole experience. Dr. Diep did not hide anything from me and the whole event went just as he explained. Overall a positive experience and money well spent.

Dr. Diep did an amazing job with my hair transplant surgery. I did not have any pain or complications from the surgery at all. My hairline had receded relatively far back and within 6months my hair had all grown back and I looked at least 5years younger. I had general post-op questions for the Dr (as many would) and I was able to receive quick responses from the doctor/office (the answers were also in the post-op packet that I was given, but just did not see).Overall, very satisfied with my procedure with Dr. Diep. I have a full head of hair and Im always receiving compliments on my hair.

I was a skeptical that this would work, however after two years I am happily proven wrong.I recommend seeing Dr Diep in person and allowing him to make an evaluation. After the evaluation expect to wait! Yes there is a long wait but this is to be expected for this type of procedure and with a good physician. The wait was worth it. Good treatment before during and after the procedure.The results were amazing! I no longer have a bare skin showing on my scalp. Be careful after the procedure the head will be sensitive and you can damage results. Follow the Dr’s rules for cleaning medication etc.I am happy with my results. I decided to wait 18 months until I wrote a review so I could be fair with my evaluation. Overall I would have to say that Dr Diep and his staff far EXCEEDED my expectations as to the results that I sit here with today. I would say I had moderate hair loss for my age (53) that was occurring mostly in the front hairline as well as the temple area. In November of 2018 I arrived at 5:30 a.m. for my FUT procedure where I was to receive 3000 grafts. I first met with doctor Diep in his office where he drew in the area that would be treated with implants. I took a cup of pills that he gave me and he also administered a shot in the side of my arm. I remember closing my eyes to receive the local anesthesia in the back of my head. The next thing I knew I had opened up my eyes and it was dark outside and time to go home !! Dr Diep told me that he administers a drug that gives you Amnesia so that you do not remember the more boring and uncomfortable parts of the procedure. Well I was glad he did that because time really flew by. After the procedure I did not accept any pain medication and decided to white-knuckle it. Overall I would say the pain level is not that bad and it can be managed with Advil. What cool is you can actually see the small hairs that were implanted and over the next two months they start to grow. But you must be prepared to know that ALL THE IMPLANTED HAIRS WILL FALL OUT. The 8-10 month point was when most results occured. By 1 year its almost fully grown. Right now 1.5 years it looks SPECTACULAR.It is important that you know that before I chose Dr Diep I literally analyzed every single Hair Doctor that had reviews.... IN THE WORLD. Thats because I was willing to travel wherever I needed to go to get the best possible treatment. After going through literally thousands of reviews I came to the conclusion that there was NOT ONE single hair doctor out there in the world that was willing to actually put so MANY (not just 1-2) video case studies on YOUTUBE of the results that he has been consistently obtaining over the time that he has been in practice. I believe the reason that other doctors do not put VIDEO results is because they just dont have many good ones. For most hair doctors, obtaining a good result is a once in awhile thing while with Doctor Diep excellent results is an everyday occurrence. I strongly recommend you go to YouTube channel and look at the phenomenal results that he has produced in these people. You cant fake a video like you can photography. The sheer quantity and quality of the results that come from Doctor Dieps work far exceeds any other doctors work that I have seen AROUND THE WORLD. I was willing to travel anywhere to find somebody who could do a great job for me. After all of the research and studying that I did what I realized is that hair restoration is an ART and there are many many things that can go wrong that can give you poor results. For me it was not worth taking the risk of going with a hair doctor that may have been cheaper that did not have consistent proven results. I would rather pay more knowing that the probability of my hair coming out the way that I want it to look was almost certain. I really caution anybody who wants to travel to Turkey to get the cheap hair transplant. Sure you may get lucky. But I found most of those overseas doctors do not even participate in the actual surgery but instead have their assistants doing all the work.I love my results so much that I am going to be going back for a second procedure with Dr Diep next week! Really it is not even necessary, but I would like to make my hair absolutely perfect and lower my hairline even more so bad it can look the same as it did when I was in my twenties. I believe the cost of doing this procedure is well worth the money and to be perfectly honest I would have even paid double and done it much sooner if I knew then It would have turned out the way that it did.

My experience with Dr. Diep was amazing, I showed up and had a lot of anxiety and fear and he assured me that everything would be ok and it was, we proceeded on the hair transplant surgery. It took several hours and my recovery from the procedure was within a day or two. The results for me took about six months, my new look was unbelievable, I had a new hairline. This took 20 years of my age, and I feel like a new man. After almost 6 months of research, I finally decided to do the hair transplant with Dr. Diep. I was so impressed by his previous works. He is probably the only one who can do more than 3500 grafts in one shot. The result was amazing and that’s why I referred three of my friends to him. His hairline design is so natural that nobody can tell if you had hair transplant unless they know you before the surgery! The procedure was much easier than what I thought. I was able to research a lot of Dr. Diep’s results online and through videos which really helped my confidence before going into this procedure. My situation was a little unique as I was working in Tokyo, Japan. However that was not a problem for the MHTA staff and Dr. Diep to schedule a skype consultation and talk to me about results and the entire process. When I arrived the staff was very polite and I was able to sit down with Dr. Diep and he confirmed the style I wanted and we created an awesome hairline. One thing I read on other reviews was Dr. Diep’s communication after the procedure is not the best and that worried me a bit. However I have had absolutely no problem communicating with Dr. Diep or the MHTA staff after the procedure. In fact I fell one day about a month after my procedure and I was worried about my results, Dr. Diep got on skype with me the very NEXT day and assured me everything was going to be alright with my new hair. Dr. Diep did my FUE procedure almost exactly 1 year ago and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He did an outstanding job and is really the best there is at the FUE procedure. I chose Dr. Diep because of the quality of his work and because he specializes in restoration of the frontal hairline. I’m just blown away by the results. I had nearly 3300 FUE grafts to my frontal area and temples. Dr. Diep basically recreated my temples and gave me a great and natural appearing hairline. Better even that I had in college! I should also mention that I had a previous hair transplant procedure done a few years ago by a pretty well known physician using the “robotic” transplant procedure that did not turn out well at all. The resulting hairline looked very sparse with gaps and the classic “bad plugs” looks. I was not happy with that result at all. That is why I really too the time to make sure my next hair restoration procedure was going to be done right. That is why I chose Dr. Diep.I’m a physician myself and you can be sure that I spent a lot of time researching hair transplant physicians and evaluating their work. He created a very dense and natural appearing hairline that completely repaired the bad robotic surgery job I had years before.My surgery experience was pretty standard on the day. The office is very comfortable and the staff is very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Diep does offer the FUE cases to be done on Saturday’s which is so helpful if you have a busy schedule and/or have to travel. I had a skype consult with Dr. Diep a few months before the surgery and on the day of we talked about the goals and what I wanted my new hairline to look like. He drew out the new hairline and shaved my head and we were off! Dr. Diep did the extraction of the hair grafts from my donor site himself by hand using his own specially designed tools (***I cannot emphasize how important this is…do not go to any places that use robots to harvest the grafts or if the physician does not do the harvesting themselves).After the extraction, we took a break for lunch and then the grafts were planted in the recipient sites in my frontal hairline and temples and even a few to fill in my crown (took about 7-8 hours total). Local anesthetic and some pain pills were given and I didn’t feel a thing. It was a pretty comfortable procedure day overall (by contrast, when I had the robotic surgery a few years ago, the also gave local anesthetic but that procedure took longer and was actually really painful).As is typical, there is going to be redness and a lot of swelling, especially if you have a full frontal hairline restoration. It took about a week and a half for the swelling to fully go down. I am pretty light skinned so the redness lasted for a few months while things were filling in.I also opted to do the Acell to help the grafts grow. You should absolutely do this! It is totally worth it. I noticed a big difference in how quickly the new grafts grew in. I know they cant promise anything, but by 5-6 months I had amazing results (I didn’t do acell last time I did a transplant and those results took almost the full year to grow).I have no regrets whatsoever with having my procedure done by Dr. Diep. If you are considering having a hair restoration procedure done, do your research, ask around, look at photos and videos. Then do yourself a favor and go to Dr. Diep. I seldom write a review and I am invited to write this review during my last followup visit. Time fly, I’m glad I had hair transplant with Dr. Diep 4 years ago. I did ~3000 grafts strip harvesting technique that time. I was almost want to cancel the surgery couple days before surgery due to varies feedback on the side effects after hair transplant. When I look back in all these years, I am proved Dr. Diep and his team did a good job and did able to minimize side effects (ex. headache) after head transplant. I did regain my confident of my look and feel as 50+% of look count on hair style. I am happy to my hair right now and my life move on. I first started noticing my hair loss around 18 or 19 years of age. It became worse and worse and it got to the point where I felt embarrassed around others. Being in my early 20’s and seeing other kids my age with nice hair made me feel insecure about my hair. I knew something had to be done before I went totally bald. They fed me a nice lunch as well.The following few days there was some discomfort but taking pain medication and resting help. The recovery was about 10-14 days for me. I took 2 weeks off of work and just relaxed and recovered.I noticed the hairs start to come in around month 3-4. It became more and more noticeable thick around the 5th-6th month and started blending it perfectly. I am coming up on my 7th month and I absolutely love the results. No one has even noticed I had a hair transplant. My hair looks natural and thick again. This is how it should look at 23 years old! In early 2017 I decided to undergo a hair transplant surgery performed by Dr Diep at MHTA at Los Gatos, California. The surgery was scheduled for August of that same year. Before I made my decision and picked Dr Diep to do my surgery I conducted a very thorough and exhaustive reasearch for over a year in order to find the best hair transplant clinics and doctors not only in the US but in the world. To me having a surgery is something extremely serious and delicate; and I wasnt going to leave it in the hands of just anybody. That being said even if it meant traveling across the world to find the best doctor... that was something I was willing to do. During my research I payed close attention to the years of experience that the doctors had been conducting hair transplants, their methods and techniques used and reviews, pictures and videos of the results of their patients. His results were impeccable; the density, the way he recreated the hairline and temples and the very natural look of his hair transplants was clearly superior than the other doctors. My experience with Dr Diep and his team was exceptional. My results are life changing.My Problem: Traction Alopecia around the edges and old plug repairPrior to coming to Dr. Diep I had x 2 failed attempts at transplants. The hairs that were implanted would not stay and the density was very thin. When I brushed my hair the follicles would fall out. The doctor moved my hair line up which I didnt even ask for and it grew in thin and looked like plugs. So now not only did I still have thin edges he created a new problem to the top of my hair line that he said was going to be corrected by the 2nd session..... My fault I thought I did my research. Words cannot express the immense gratitude I have for Dr. Diep and his team in their efforts to restore my receding hairline. Prior to my experience with Dr. Diep I went through two miserable procedures, the results of which were absolutely horrendous. I had my Hair transplant with Dr Diep almost 11 months ago. I am really thrilled to see the result and how natural it looks. Thorughout the journey, Dr Diep and his staff were very professional in answering all my questions and they even gave a reference of one of their client with whom i had a chat prior to surrgery to answer all my concerns.On the day of surgery, reached his office at 5:00 AM and had a few shots of anesthesia and pain killers and thats all i knew until they work me up for lunch during the surgery. Had my lunch and slept again while they worked on transplanting my hair and they woke me up at around 6:00 PM and told me surgery was done. I returned home the same evening and slept through out the night without any pain and woke up a couple of times for medication . i think pain killers which Dr gave me were very helpful and helped me get through any slight pain i had after surgery. On the 3rd day had a little swelling and applying ice pack brought it back to normal.Dr Dieps office took care of first few washes and guided me through the procedure and highlighted dos and donts. They had me come in on 10th day and removed by sticthes(I had FUT surgery as i had to cover a lot of frontal and crown).At about 45 days later,i started noticing transplanted hair loss which is normal and around 3 months i started noticing hair coming back. At 5 months people stated noticing the difference and i could feel real hair coming along.Overall it was great experience and appreciate Dr Dieps office for all their help in this journey.

I am writing this review of Dr. Diep not because I was asked to write it, but because I feel strongly compelled to write this review. My hairline had been receding for several years and I think I was at a level or stage 3 of hairline recede. Nature, genetics, and stress from a recent divorce seemed to accelerate my receding hairline. I was looking old and feeling old because of my receding hairline. It was bad enough that I had gone through a very contentious divorce, but now at 61 years old, I was alone and didn’t want to be. I decided to try a couple of dating sites and just it was difficult to get a response from a woman let alone and actual date. Mind you, I am a nice-looking man and very physically fit and active, but there was something missing from my looks and wondered what it may have been. I started to look around me and saw men with receding hairlines and men with full heads of hair. The men with a full head of hair looked younger than men with receding hairlines. I searched on line for hair restoration and transplant clinics and physicians. I not only looked in the SF Bay Area, but I started looking nationwide because if I were to get this procedure, I want it to be successful and handled by the best doctor or clinic. There were a few doctors that had strong reviews and recommendations, but only a couple of hair restoration specialists seemed to have consistent strong reviews and satisfied customers. I didn’t know if it his hair was natural, or if he was a patient at his own facility!! LOL Nevertheless, I felt very relaxed talking with Dr. Diep. He asked me what my goal was, and I told him that I needed to look more youthful. Dr. Diep took several photos, studied my hair and hairline, and said I can make you look 20 years younger! I was skeptical about such a claim and Dr’ Diep drew a few lines on my head to simulate what my hairline would look like. I studied it in a mirror my proposed hairline and thought if I could look like that, he may be right about the number of years younger that I would look!! Dr. Diep suggested a transplant of 3500 follicles and recommended the FUT method because of a higher transplant survival. Dr. Diep explained the procedure in its’ entirety, the recovery, what to expect during the regeneration process. During the consult, I found Dr. Diep to be sincere and passionate about his work, work which he appeared to take so much pride in. I was very impressed by Dr. Diep.I had no doubt in my mind to choose Dr. Diep! I called and scheduled a procedure date and December 10, 2017 was the big day!! It was an all-day process and I never felt a thing or so much as a second of pain! I was groggy after the procedure and in short time I was up and about! This review is long overdue as I had my FUE surgery of about 2300 grafts over a third of my scalp starting from my hairline on June 28, 2018. By mid November 2018, I had a full head of hair and my confidence back. The recovery phase went by fairly quickly, and I was able to engage in normal activities after just a few days; however, I did wait a month before exercising. My transplanted hair began shedding after the second week, and it was all gone by the 4th/5th week (if I remember correctly). I started to see baby hairs growing in around month 3. Here I am a year and a half later: hair is looking great and is very thick. You wont find a better surgeon than Dr. Diep.

However, It has been three years and I am still experiencing nerve pain from occipital neuralgia. Not to mention cobblestoning in the recipient area and the hair does not blend well with my natural hair. In addition to that it is very dry dead looking hair. I am only in my 20s. Dr. Diep was very good with replying about my concerns quickly in the first year, but he kept saying nothing was wrong. I received an FUE treatment from Dr. Diep in mid-2018 when I was 30 years old. At the time I was about a Norwood 3/4. My hair loss was expected due to a family history of hair loss. I just didnt expect it to progress so quickly at the age of 26/27.My Time with Dr. Diep was never rushed, from the moment I arrived I felt taken care of and he listened to all of my concerns. We decided to go with the FUE of 2,500 grafts; the majority to be placed in the frontal area of the scalp. During the procedure he was able to get up to 3,200 grafts, a pleasant surprise!If you decide to go with Dr. Diep, you will be scheduled to arrive very early in the morning around 6AM or so. You will go over the surgery briefly and then be given a benzodiazepine to help with pre-surgery anxiety. Additionally, you will be given a drug named Versed, a sedative hypnotic that helps you remain still and calm throughout the surgery. Versed also has amnesia related effects that are quite common. Keep in mind the amnesia effects are present only during the time that the drug is active in your system. For me personally, it felt like I was only in surgery for 2 hours, however I was in surgery for approximately 10 hours or so. No pain was present and I was sent home with pain medication in case it became a problem.Post-surgery, you will have to be careful with after care and really pay mind to the sheet of paper spelling out all the things you should do. I personally did not see the new hair start growing in until around the 6 month mark. Scarring on the sides of my head were noticeable up to 8 months. Ive recently shaved the sides of my head down to 4 mm and can no longer see any signs of scarring. All in all, Im very pleased with the outcome of my hair and Dr. Diep truly is a master of creating a new hairline. I highly recommend him. At the very least, set up a consultation, theres nothing to lose.

I had a follow up virtual appointment scheduled at 5:30pm today and until I called them I wasn’t aware that my appointment was rescheduled to next month. I made myself available for this by cancelling all other plans and nobody even cared to give me a call or even sending me an email regarding the reschedule. And the person I talked on the phone is rude and no regrets at all for not informing the patient about the reschedule. They seriously need to work on the communication.

I have temple hair loss. I didnt believe or trust anything out there right now that can regrow hair. So I kind of gave up until I ran upon Dr Diep youtube channel and saw videos after videos of great result. Not many doctors showcase their patients result live. Dr Diep is really an artist when it comes to hairlines. I had 2 transplants on my receding hairline prior to seeing Dr Diep. First, I had my hairline done several years ago by a surgeon out of the country, and they did horrible. It was uneven, just bad. Then, by another reputable hair surgeon in the Bay Area several months after, I had it redone and they did much better, but it was completely straight (so not completely natural looking), and not where I wanted it to be height wise. Needless to say, I was not completely satisfied with it and decided to go to Dr Diep. I wanted to lower my hairline more than Dr Diep said he would do, though, I trusted him and decided to do it. Within 4 months, my new hairline was perfect. Its very very dense, looks more curved and natural, and, probably since it was done so well, I am very happy that it was done at the height he did it at. I have learned throughout the process that creating a new hairlinem is really an art. Many surgeons refuse to do it, and many do it poorly. Dr Diep takes these challenges and excels at it. I got a quote in mid 2013 and was skeptical about getting a hair procedure. i went in for a free consultation and it was also a open house and i had a few hundred dollars credit towards my procedure if i wanted to go forward with it. when i first met dr diep he took me into the surgery room to see the process being done and i got to speak with the patients as they were eating their lunch. i decided in 2015 on mothers day weekend that i was going to do the fue method which i prefer because i wear my hair short .. dr die honored my few hundred dollar off and i was a quoted at 2500 grafts fue. he went a little over and i paid the difference.. i got my frontal done. so i needed to wait another year to get another fue treatment done. this was 2016 mothers day weekend i got another 2500 grafts done and he went a little over and i paid the difference . Let me start with Dr. Diep is AMAZING!!!! He really saved my life. I was balding (as you can see in the before pics) and got an FUT from another clinic originally. THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE!!!! Dr diep n his assistant were amazing made feel right at home was nervous n skeptical of the fue procedure but after talking to de diep made me feel comfortable and rest a sure me i was going to be fine from his years of experience and proof from his videos of before and after i knew i was in the right hands i got the fue procedure done year and half ago n my hair looks fuller n great thanks to dr diep i look younger and have build my confidence back highely recommend the work he does is just amazing!!!!!

I had a HT with dr Diep I cant really tell anything about the results yet will update later on that, my only concern is that he doesnt take the time with his patients, I felt like he was in a hurry to do the HT and take consults over the phone to take as many patients as possible I just wish they will take the time with each patient and listen more to to our concerns instead of acting like a money making machine !!!
