I was at the Kaiser hospital started craving for Chinese. I googled this one said Ill give it a try. I was very impressed with the service and all the food was delicious and freshly made. Im glad I stopped here for lunch.

Food is the bomb.com! a friend from stockton found this spot for me and Ive been coming here for 2 years now! Front desk lady is not welcoming. I called ahead but when I arrived they Didnt even acknowledge me when I walked in. So I sat for a few minutes still nothing. Went to the register still no acknowledgement. I didnt like that. 2 more seconds and i wouldve walked out. Ill give them the benefit of doubt because there was a few ppl in there. Still my favorite spot.

First time eating here and had a great experience. Had the lunch special with Mongolian beef and chicken chowmein. The food came out nice and hot and tasted great. Our waitress was really nice and got our food out quick. Will definitely return!

First time, food was very good first place that had delicious sweet and sour pork definitely coming back for my next craving, and they don’t skimp out on food the beef chow fun had so much beef in it ! phones just need to be fixed so the food will be ready when I get there. If you want great Chinese food, thats reasonably priced. This is definitely where you should go. Especially for the lunch specials. They serve you so much that we normally have leftovers that we can take home. They make the best Chow Mein that Ive ever had. Whenever you order one of the lunch specials, youll get Chow Mein & Fried Rice. But whenever Ive ordered one of the lunch specials, I asked for no fried rice & asked for more of the Chow Mein instead of the Fried Rice. Everything that weve ever ordered has been delicious.

First time ordering from this place. Will not be my last. I had #5 combination plate. Mongolian beef, all chicken chow mein (not a rice person), also came with a fried shrimp and egg roll. My bf had #8 combination. Sweet and sour pork combo meal. The best chow mein in Modesto!! Lots of meat and veggies. The sweet and sour pork and Mongolian beef was delicious. One combination plate could easily feed two people. Got lots of delicious food for less than $23!! Well be back.

It is a run of the mill chinese food where the menu is very familar to most americans. All the staples are available like the orange chicken, sweet and sour pork and the rice and chowmein. Yet again I couldnt get into a Steakhouse so I went across the street to this hidden gem. The Wor Won Ton Soup started off our delicious meal. Next came the Honey Walnut Shrimp. They have a very light coating. The sauce was great. BBQ Pork Fried Rice was next it did not disappoint. Absolutely yummy Mongolian Beef killed it. Kung Pao Chicken was different. It tasted good just not to my liking. All the dishes I saw go by looked amazing. BBQ Pork I am coming for you.

Service was good, easy to order, easy to pickup, packaged well for takeout. I ordered pot stickers, egg rolls, sweet and sour pork, chicken fried rice, egg flower soup, and mixed vegetables with garlic.The egg flower soup, fried rice, and the egg rolls were great, but the others not so much.The pot stickers had a much too thick dough on them, to the point where it was like a thin bread... Because of this the dough wasnt really crispy and was more flimsy and chewy like bread. The filling was good though.As for the sweet and sour pork, i didnt really taste any pork, i think it was mostly batter... And it wasnt even fried well well becaUse it was soggy. Maybe they only fried it once or the heat was too low when they fried it but it was really soggy.The mixed vegetables.... I dont even know how its possible to get vegetales and garlic wrong, but it was pretty bad... The taste was alright but its coated in some thick cornstarch goo or something which makes it feel gross to eat because of the texture. Feels like youre eating a bunch of slime or something.Solid 5/10, probably wont come here again unless just for egg rolls, soup, or fried rice.

This is the best Chinese food I have ever had. Everything was so good I didnt have to add hot or soy sauce. I had sesame chicken meal and it was so tender and delicious. Plus, it was so much food that I never saw the bottom of my plate, I tried though! The fried items we ordered were very light, not greasy and heavy. The woman who waited on us was very attentive and nice. My new go to Chinese place! (Sorry old regulars.... 😪)

I dont understand who could like this place. It was greasy and not at all good. The waitress was nice and attentive thats about the only positive. Chowmein was 50 noodle 50 bean sprouts. My husband and I barely ate our meals. Half of his chicken was so hard you couldnt get your fork in it. My Mongolian beef was more onion than literally anything else. The portions were big but whats the point if its gross? The rice was plain and tasted dried out. McDonalds tastes better and healthier.

We love Lees and were looking for a great place since Lees burnt down. We were extremely happy with our first time take out order from Mei Wei! We got a few appetizers and a couple combo plates. They offer a great lunch special from 11am until 3:30pm Tuesdays through Sundays but closed on Mondays. Great prices and quite a bit of food for the price paid. If you eat there; You also can enjoy the soup of the day but not if you order takeout. I highly recommend trying it for yourself.

This place has the worst service. We waited 40min for our drinks and one hour for our food. I told the girl that was serving the tables that my food was cold that I didnt want it.. She took the food and then later when we waited for the check that never arrived. I was charged for the food that I never ate because I was already mad about the service and us not getting our food at the same time. Long story short please dont go here. This place sucks.. This people need to hire more people. If I could give this review a half a star I would. 🤦‍♀️

I forgot about this place when I was craving Chinese food. I came here in January for their soup and had their sweet and sour as well as the Wonton soup. The sweet and sour was everything, so good. Dont believe the 4.8 ratings! the soda dispensers need to be cleaned because the sodas had that weird taste. the server kept crossing over us to pass food or sodas. the war won soup and garlic chicken was good. dont pick the pan fried noodles or the hot and sour soup. just an average place but no where near deserving of a 4 or 5 star rating.

Came here for a friends birthday. This place is tiny and simple. They give a ton of food for a tiny price and for me it was great!We ended up ordering a family meal (A) which is $9.45 a person (for 2) and includes an extra entree for each extra person. We received some egg flower soup which was delicious then some tinfoil chicken which was weird. The main meal consisted of pork fried rice, chow mein, beef and broccoli and orange chicken. The beef and broccoli was fine while the orange chicken was amazing. Perfect crisp on the breading, sweet and I couldnt get enough of it!My friends and I often take on food challenges and this was definitely a challenge! For less than $10, we got enough food that hurt to finish and it was good enough to enjoy the pain. I dont think Ive had better orange chicken.

I ordered delivery and was excited to eat when it got here. I was looking forward to the orange chicken being the highlight of all the food. I dont know how you could call it orange chicken. There was almost no chicken in all of the fried breading crust that was clearly not fresh. The breading crust wasnt crunchy, it was just stale and rough to swallow. The pot stickers werent anything special either, they were dry.The rest of the food was great, no complaints. Major disappointment in the orange chicken though.

I have eaten many times at Mei Wei Chinese Restaurant. The two biggest reasons I frequent this restaurant are the owner and the wonderful food she serves. For my personal point, it is the best Chinese food restaurant in this city. I have tried several restaurants but they really leave a lot to be desired in terms of Chinese food.
