2023-11-23 05:36:44The food is great. I guess the corner table behind the wall is not a good angle to sit in, because it took quite some time till they came to us. I hope it was only because of that...I would add more vegan options like at least 1 vegan sauce for the burger, optional vegan cheese to make at least 1 burger fully vegan. Or 1 appetizer. Appreciate the Arnold Schwarzeneggers menu section.

2023-09-23 13:18:02So this place was okay and you have to pay for parking. The food was basic and the fries got cold really quick. The root beer was flat so I sent that back and just stayed with water. The grilled chicken breast were thin pieces and I felt it was dry and not well seasoned. The grilled hamburger actually looked tasty. The most disappointing was our server because he initially checked in on us but then started making drinks and never returned until someone in our group went to ask for the check so that we could leave. Overall, it was too pricey for what we got so we won’t be returning anytime soon.

2023-11-05 17:15:18Mels drive in diner. Food was delicious, pancakes on point. 😋 $4 mimosa hit the spot after flying in first thing in the am. My kids loved all their food too. The vibe is on point. Tons of old movies memorabilia on the walls. Would definitely return if Im ever back in the area.

2023-10-03 02:33:35Fun restaurant with a 40s & 50s diner feel and the fact that its in Hollywood made it feel even more authentic. Breakfast was good but for the price I was expecting more. Still recommend if you wanna step back in time and enjoy the old Hollywood atmosphere.

2023-06-05 15:14:44Its fine. With Canters and so many other options so close I cant see going here again. The food was decent. It was Hollywood prices but I expected that. The service was just ok. Not terrible. Not exceptional. Atmosphere, meh. It tries to be an old brightly lit diner. High ceilings didnt jibe and the kitsch was pretty obvious and not actual vintage so....

2023-04-18 14:27:17Traditional American diner that didn’t disappoint. We wanted burgers, large fries, American extra long drinks and we got it all!The duke box was on, the server was nice and kept refilling our drinks for free. Service was quick too. It felt authentic and traditional and we loved it!

2023-01-20 01:11:50Classic cheeseburger + fries / 5 🌟!Mels Drive-In isnt really a drive-in anymore. But that doesnt mean it isnt a fun place to have lunch. They had an anniversary celebration recently, and I stopped by to enjoy a meal and help celebrate. They have locations around LA, all the way from Santa Monica to at least Hollywood, which is where I went since it is close to me.The ambiance is very classic American diner. They even have table-side mini jukeboxes full of rock and roll classics. The food is lovely and well made. The burger was filling and tasty. I am a burger fan and enjoy 99% of the burgers I have, but nothing beats a classic burger topped with not just cheese but also lettuce, onion, and tomato. They have a big, diner style menu, so even if a burger isnt your thing, youll find something to enjoy.

2023-08-06 01:08:24I loved the place. It’s a traditional 1950’s American diner. The food was amazing and our waitress was great too :)
