My good Turkish friend highly recommended and it’s absolutely worth it. Local kitchen of dishes we all know well.A bit pricey butOctopus was the best I had in 6 months (I tried a lot tho). So fresh and sauce had a perfect accentLamb chops were great. Maybe a bit too grilled. But overall very good.Sea bass was very good, highly recommendModern stylish interior, very spacious, friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Not crowdy.

We had a wonderful evening full of smiles,laughs and amazing food. We dined at 5:15 and it was already busy. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. He gave great advice on how many dishes we might want. We started of with the Domates Roka salad, it was light and refreshing. The bread and dipping sauce was delicious. We then had the Turkmen Mantisi which was the dish that made me book our reservation as I had to try it. I love manti and this is the big brother version. It was incredible!! The garlic yogurt sauce is so good Id be happy with just that and the bread, but it pairs perfectly with the delicate but flavorful dumplings. It was so good we had a second order of them! We had the borek which were crispy and flavorful, my favorite was the cheese. My fiancé loved the Alinazik, (I had a bite but smoked flavors are hard for me). The meat was so tender and the smoked eggplant labne was creamy and rich. We had 1 cocktail each. I had the cos-MEY-politan which was a little small for my liking but it was very good. Fiancé had the Cappadocia which was also delicious. We finished our meal with some of the best baklava and Turkish coffee. Who I believe was the manager came to check how our meal was and we had a wonderful talk about the evolution of manti. The food took me right back to my favorite dishes I had while in Turkey. A wonderful evening. We will be back!

Had a very positive experience at Meyhouse in Palo Alto. We had the vegetarian hummus, lamb chops, and chicken thighs and everything was great. The hummus was warm and a bit softer which my husband really liked, he said it was his favorite hummus. We both loved the meat dishes and thought everything was cooked excellently. The only thing I regret not ordering on the side is the rice, which I’m not sure if then even have at this location or only at the Sunnyvale one. Btw the chicken and the lamb are halal if you’re looking for halal options.Ambiance is great as well, definitely would be appropriate to come here for a date night or special occasion. We were served by the owners daughter Ayesha who was very nice.

Came here for my birthday last night and Meyhouse made my day unforgettable and magical. Our waiter Mert was absolutely wonderful, providing us with amazing recommendations and being very caring the whole night. The food tasted very traditionally Turkish and felt like I was back in Istanbul again.For starters we got:Ahtapot 5/5 - cooked to perfection and the gambilya fava underneath was just as delicious as the octopus.Köpoğlu (recommended by our waiter) 5/5 - garlic yogurt exactly like how we have it in Turkey, eggplant and peppers delicious with a wonderful hint of smoke from the grill.Mains:Alinazik 5/5 - wonderful cut of meat, very tender and good quality. Eggplant labneh underneath was extremely comforting and delicious.Chilean Seabass 10-5!!! - showstopper, very tender fish with mashed potatoes with a hint of lemon. So so wonderful, highly recommend.Dessert:Şöbiyet 5/5 - Brought with a wonderful happy birthday song and candle. It is like a very delicate baklava, perfect to close the night.Thank you so much to the Meyhouse team for a magical birthday night!

My friends asked for a good Turkish cuisine for years and I couldn’t recommend any place; until we found Meyhouse. Appetizers are so great you can just fill yourself with amazing artichoke, sarma or kopeoglu. Ali nazik is so great I ended up eating it every time although I told myself I should try something else this time! And padişah sarması is out of this world! It is also great to experience drinking with ehli keyf. With their service and amazing dishes Meyhouse serves an experience, not just a dinner.

I guess its been a week since this restaurant opened and I loved all about it.We ordered the ribeye and a hummus with beef toping and also the Alinazik. They were all super yummy. Dont forget to try their freshly made Bread and the special dip they bring at the beginning.The staff are friendly and helpful and specially the manager was so fun and nice.The atmosphere and interior design is calming and also I lived their songs! LOL!

On a busy Saturday evening - we arrived at 530pm for dinner. We decided since it was our first time to try their tasting menu. Unlike most - where its small tastes of otherwise large plates. The tasting menu was seven full starters, four cold, three warm - two full sized entrees and full sized salad - - and a delicious rice pudding for dessert. It was a MOUNTAIN of food. Their kitchen pacing was a little off - with long waits between courses - the entire meal took an hour and a half. So if you are in a hurry - I wouldnt order the tasting menu. A couple next to us that ordered alacarte - were in an out in regular timing.The food here is just tremendous. Fresh, heightened with the use of citrus and fresh herbs. Some of the best Turkish cuisine Ive ever had. Very elevated and smartly plated. I would being anyone here for a special occasion or just a delicious lunch or dinner.

Warm, friendly, educational staff and exquisite Turkish food. Our table especially loved the flame-grilled octopus (not pictured), pastirma hummus, aged ribeye, smoked mackerel, and raki (Turkish anise liquor I’d never had before; similar to pastis).

We were there for my wifes birthday and had an awesome experience. All the food we ordered was amazing.Best octopus I had in a long time, tender and delicious. Lamb chops were perfectly medium as ordered, nicely seared outside and juicy inside. Orfoz was a random choice on the menu and now it is my new favorite in the fish category.Great atmosphere and high quality, attentive service. I will definitely go there again.

WOW is this place good. We went in one night after seeing it had recently opened, and it was packed! We were lucky to get seated walking in.We tried the Girit cheese, hummus, (with lots of the complimentary house-made flatbread), fire grilled chicken, house salad and a few cocktails. Everything was absolutely phenomenal and every bite was perfect. I can’t wait to come back and try more things!They’ve done a beautiful job with the interior and the service was top-notch. I’m looking forward to Meyhouse becoming a PA institution for many years to come! This is a can’t-miss spot.

I met the owners when they came to my bmw dealership. I needed a nice restaurant to take my girlfriend to a date night. This Is our first time having Turkish food. And it is so so good. I just chose 5 random item off the menu and they were all very good and nicely presented. Our waiter who Is the daughter of the owners was very attentive and gave excellent service. I remember saying to my girlfriend this is the nicest restaurant Ive been to in the bay area. The decor is very modern and super clean. The atmosphere is just so romantic and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I will definitely come back here to try out their other dish and I want to personally thank the owners for a great experience. I highly highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try a unique and romantic experience for a date.

Minus one star for deceptive pricing*.Thumbs up:- Broad selection of veg and non-veg options- Very delicious food! And unlimited tasty bread :)- Attentive and friendly service, water glasses frequently refilledThumbs down:- So loud :(. I wish restaurants would leverage noise-dampening options. My Apple Watch warned me multiple times about dangerous noise levels and it was honestly hard to hear friends just a couple seats away.- * 4% surcharge for employee benefits or something like that. This passive-aggressive / obnoxious practice has continued to spread across the Bay Area and it needs to stop. The prices here are already crazy-high enough (for which I did NOT deduct any star); just charge $52 for an entree instead of $50 if thats what you need to do to pay your employees fairly!

Outstanding food. Sat at the bar and ordered small plates: octopus, eggplant, dumplings, beef tongue. Raki and rice pudding for dessert. All were flavorful, textured, delicate and elegant. Ask for recommendations, explore. Atmosphere was energetic but not loud. First time here and I loved it.

Had a great dinner here a few months ago, looked at the menu online and decided to have lunch. On arrival at the restaurant found out the menu was completely different. The server informed me that the online menu is for the Sunnyvale location despite the fact that the website just shows one lunch menu and does not state that there are different menus in the two locations.So ignore anything on the website or any other website because they all link to the same website…

The food was fantastic. Above and beyond. The service was so so. Servers were very polite but slow (given the restaurant was almost empty) and sloppy (forgotten items, etc.). It’s not a family friendly place (i.e. no baby changing tables in the bathroom) but the atmosphere is nice.The most irritating thing was that 1/3rd of the menu wasn’t available, including basic items (like sparkling water or baklava). I appreciate they don’t serve dishes if the don’t find the right ingredients but would suggest printing daily menus with what is available vs. telling customers half of things they want aren’t available. Everything we tried was good, so would give it a second chance.

Very very bad service, in fact probably the worst experience I had at a restaurant. It was supposed to be our romantic dinner date, but the server blatantly ignored us for 15 minutes. We also never got any house bread (think house bread is typical of any Turkish restaurants). We were so disappointed and almost tempted to leave, but then my husband politely asked the hostess if she can get us a server. We got a server eventually, but the server wasn’t fully trained (absolutely not the server’s fault, it’s the business’ problem). The food was just okay, too bland (I love turkish food though) and not worth the price - overpriced to the ceiling. The restaurant is more of a show-off than the actual quality and service. Will never go back, will not recommend going there (esp not as a couple).

Really great place for a date night. We had a fun cocktail with pepper purée (cappadocia), 4 starters and 1 main. The mezze were great - I liked the dumplings the best but my partner liked the purslane stalks the best. The artichoke bottoms were also a hit. Service was attentive albeit soft spoken. The bread was really great too to tide you over til food arrives.

For the price and the location of this restaurant, the service was pretty miserable. We were repeatedly out of bread and asked over and over to get it and it took forever. We had ordered appetizers which really were meant to be eaten with bread so we were spending a lot of time staring at appetizers which we couldnt eat. This was an example of how the whole meal went. Nobody checked on us. It took forever to get the bill etc etc. Im usually pretty flexible on these things but it was excessively bad and for the cost of the dishes it really ruined the experience for us.The food was excellent though so I hope they work out the service problems.

What an honor to be the first guest and reviewer.We were eying this place for month and could not wait. If you liked Meyhouse in Sunnyvale, you will probably love this space. If you did not like it, you should give this space a chance. You don’t know the space? You need to try it!A specialty of this place is their seafood mezze. It’s awesome. We tried mussels and branzino. Kind of Turkish sashimi. Not cooked but marinated. Very flavorful. Not fishy. Very soft. Loved it. We tried several fresh salads with beets and Kapers. Very fresh, diverse, and rich in flavors. We also had some meat. Cooked to perfection. And finally: Künefe. Our favorite desert. Good as always!Service was very attentive as we are already used to it at their other location. The room was very spacious with a lot of light and nice colors and decorations. Nice Turkish music was playing in the background.If you want to experience Turkish fine dining at its best, this is where you have to go!
