MGD Korean BBQ in Northridge

My friend and I was finally able to try this place after hearing good things about it. We came during happy hour time (5pm) so we were able to find parking in the limited parking spots available. When we walked in, we were seated right away because they were not busy. We stuck with the main course option A and selected the Brisket, Jumulleok (black pepper steak), shrimp and baby octopus with white rice. The meat came out quick and we were on the way to the BBQ. The Brisket was good as always but the jumulleok was so flavorful and our favorite. The octopus was okay (not my fault) but my friend liked it and the shrimp was not good. Our next order was the fried rice, spicy chicken bulgogi and soy garlic bulgogi. The seasoning on the chicken and soy garlic bulgogi was spot on. The fried rice was not good so I would avoid ordering it and I also got the rice paper which was not good as well. Our final order of meat was the beef bulgogi which was good, MOD steak which wasnt our favorite, marinated la balbi which was delicious and the jumulleok again (this time it was more salty). The service we received here was amazing, the staff was always alert with us and changed out the grill when they saw it needed changing. The place can fill up with smoke quickly if they are busy so be aware of that.

MGD is the best kbbq in the valley! I love their boneless galbi, beef belly, jumulleok, brisket, and pork belly. Try their kimchi fried rice and Korean fried chicken!!! My favorite was the cheese tonkatsu (pork cutlet). They even have cheese dip and ramen that you can order! For AYCE Kbbq their price is cheaper than Ktown and the meat quality is great. Kristina was my server and was very attentive to everything my friends and I ordered. Their soju cocktails are really good! I recommend the kiwi or starburst flavor.

This is an excellent Korean BBQ spot. There is plenty of options to choose from. The second I walked in I was greeted with the biggest warmest smile from the server, Talia. She really made sure that felt welcomed and was making sure I was getting a 5 star experience when it came to service. She went above and beyond to make great suggestions for food options/ combos. This place has a very pleasant atmosphere that also helps to deliver a great experience.

Fun time and good food. About a 30 minute wait on a Friday night. Food quality fantastic, service awesome, very loud inside. Parking is tough and businesses in back watch all spaces so street parking is best and safest bet.

Quality of the meat was AMAZING..!!! It’s worth itLove their beef brisket, MGD steak, GalBi, Jumuluk, kimchi fried rice.. +30 other items.. Try the Soju cocktail too! Servers were so friendly too!Best all you can eat in the town 🫠

Good little spot not many grills when outside is closed and long wait times on The Weeknd. Definitely good spot for locals with a wide menu and many sides !

The absolute best thing about MGD is the owners. Francis & Christine are amazing & the service is wonderful! MGD is hands down my favorite Korean BBQ in the San Fernando Valley. The food & drinks are outstanding! I also love the throw back millennial music.

The food quality was great. The service was super friendly and nice with the recommendations. The place is really clean and chill. 10/10, would come back again.

Best all you can eat Korean BBQ restaurant in all of the LA area! Yeah its a little expensive ($35 per person) but its so worth it. Their menu is massive, has many different meats and sides, and they have tons of delicious alcohol. If youre in the area or youre looking to try a new Korean BBQ restaurant I highly recommend this one! They even have a little robot that drives around and delivers food to people!

The food here was mediocre and service was extremely slow. The pan was hot for 10 minutes before they even brought out first meat. They had to exchange hot plates because we had been waiting for meat for so long. The sauces are just drizzled on fried chicken and rice cakes, not combined what so ever. Ambiance of place is nice but food and service alone made this a 2/10. Try somewhere else!
