Amazing food. One of the only places to get Trieu Chau noodle soup in the Bay Area. Family owned and make their own hot sauce in house.

Great stop to satisfying ANY noodle craving you might have.The noddles are soft, satisfy and well cooked. The broth is hot, complex and delicious.I will not they only take cash so either have cash on hand or be prepared to make a pit stop at the ATM!

I love how refreshing the broth is and I dont feel bloated after eating it. I got my broth on the side with the wide egg noodle. The ho fun noodles were sold out.

Their food deserves 5 stars for sure. But their service was aggressive in that they took my American friend dish after he was done without asking if he wanted it to go (he did). But they get 5 stars for great food and cheap cheap prices. The noodles reminds me of what my mom makes and their kidney was really good. Me love

I’m from southern China and I found this place’s noodle pretty authentic. We got here about 12pm on a Friday and half of the restaurant was already full (by 12:30 there’s a short wait already). The staff is friendly. Would recommend.

I happen to find this restaurant by mistake.I walked to the wrong side of the plaza and decided to go in to give it a try.I was so impressed with the won ton noodles with fish cakes, pork kidneys and chicken that I took a family member back for dinner two days later.The owner remembered me.I had pork kidney noodles and Uncle Sammy had beef tendon noodles.He could not believe how good it was and said he would take Auntie Zeny at a later date.The pork kidneys were excellent as I hadnt ordered this dish in a long time.I will let my friends know and spread the word that I have found a noodle place to my liking.The atmosphere is tranquil and the service is excellent.The waitress is there to fill your tea cups without you asking for more.Splendid!

Authentic Teo Chew and Chinese style food. Yummy shrimp roll is deep fried and served with plum sauce. Good appetizer! Any kind of noodles you like. Wet or dry or with gravy. Rice noodles, egg noodles, and silver noodles I believe.

They close super Superrrrr early, and despite what their posted business hours says, they wouldnt serve you even if youre there half an hour before closing and inside the restaurant- even for takeaway orders! This has happened on multiple occasions & its really messed up they do this to customers. No other restaurant is closed as early as they are or refuse business, especially in this economy!

My go to place for noodles. They take credit card but minimum is 20 bucks. My personal favorite is the teo chew style with noodles. Thin egg noodles in soup. Pass on the kidneys (not my favorite, but just my personal opinion). The service is like most Asian noodle shops. The food comes out quick and pipping hot. Great for cold or rainy days. Scratch that, great for any occasion.

Have been a regular customer for 10+ years, dropping by for lunch at least once a week. I have been spotted by some of my co-workers so often at this eatery that they joked about buying a share of the eatery. I enjoyed their offerings especially the Cambodian noodle soup and wavy egg noodle. The wavy egg noodle (mee-pok) served with soup on the side and volumes of black vinegar reminds me of yiem-mee commonly found in Pontianak (in Kalimantan) or Bak-Chor(u) mee in Singapore. Anyhow, my last visit a few weeks left a bitter after-taste. I ordered Cambodian noodle soup and as usually it came with a mountain-shape amount of noodles in a bowl. However, the soup was not topping to the top of the noodle mountain (about 1 below the top) and so I asked for more soup. The lady server looked at me with straight face, and said that would be an extra $1. I was hungry and did not want to make a fuss out of it and so I paid up. The soup base, as usual, was great. However, I thought more about it later. I have asked for extra soup in the past and was not charged for it. Is the extra $1 a new practice put out by the owners or was it a side-dealing by the server? I would certainly understand it if an extra charge was added to help the owners make it through this pandemic and would support it. I love their Teochew noodle. The food was pretty good but a bit pricey for what you get. I was happy enough though until I found out that they only take credit cards for orders of 20 dollars or more. After mentioning I hadnt seen any notice of this policy they pointed to a sign at the back of the restaurant, expecting me to see it when they seated me at the front. They eventuality reluctantly took my card as I didnt have enough cash for my 18 dollar meal. It ruined my experience unfortunately. With so much other good Asian food around here I wont be coming back.

Been coming here for 10+ years in its various incarnations. My go-to dish used to be beef satay ho fun, but I changed years ago to the beef tendon with noodles and special broth, which I have to have at least monthly. Thats what I order every time. People Ive brought with me have had good experiences with various clear broths with seafood etc.

I have been coming to Pacific East Mall for years now. One of my favorite restaurants to dine at was previously known as VH Noodle House but now its known as Mi Southeast Asian Eatery.My go to dish that I always order is the #12. Soup on the side, thick noodles, pause the kidneys and pile on the fish cake. It is my favorite noodle dish from there. The prices are very reasonable.The service is average, but the food does come out in a decent amount of time.

If you dont want to read the whole review heres a summary:-very curt, unwelcoming hostess-decent food that is overpriced-nice atmosphereMy family and I ate here around 2pm on a Saturday. It wasn’t busy and we paid $50.25 for four people. As soon as we walked through the door, the hostess stared at us with such distaste that I immediately felt unwelcomed. As she assisted us never once did she smile and she treated other customers similarly, even at the register when we paid for our meals. As a past food service worker I understand that employees may have rough days and they can be too exhausted to smile, but as a hostess tasked with welcoming so many customers into the restaurant, I expected her to be more friendly. She gave us the impression that she did not want to be there and that she didn’t care about the guests she was seating. The other waitress didn’t smile either but she at least nodded in response when we said “thank you” instead of look away and almost roll her eyes like the hostess did.I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant! Its cozy and there was no intrusive music/background noise. I appreciate this because I could talk to my family. One of the chopsticks provided to us had a waxy, spider-web-like white substance twined around it. It looked like melted plastic or wax and it was on the end of the chopstick meant to pick up food. This flaw was very clearly visible on the darkly-colored utensil and yet the eating hazard was still given to us to use.The dishes were served in filling portions and we were served very quickly. My dad loved his tripe pho! The beef and meatball pho tasted okay but it had a fishy aftertaste. They included bean sprouts already in the soup so the customer can’t choose to add or omit it. I say this because the menu doesn’t mention that bean sprouts are served already in the soup rather than on a separate dish as other restaurants do, so we didn’t know to tell them “no”. The egg noodles are salty but delicious. The beef chow fun was a huge disappointment. Here it costs $12.50 but I have had better beef chow fun for $8.00 elsewhere. Mi’s chow fun is strangely slimy and shiny (yes gravy can make it wet but Mi’s is a cheap takeout quality slimy). The flavor isn’t as good as others I’ve tasted and as the food cooled down it tasted more and more unappealing. Overall the average-quality food was overpriced and I love the comfortable atmosphere, but the staff was rude enough to drop an average 3-star rating to a 2. I note that the owners of the restaurant read these reviews and a past review mentioned rude staff too, but with my experience today maybe they haven’t become any less impolite.

Food is pretty good namely their noodles, which makes this place different than your usual Chinese restaurants. My issue with the place is more with typical Chinese rudeness and their having no manner. I was next in line trying to pay for my meal. The guy in front of me was having some issue with the credit card machine. Another Chinese woman came up and said something in Chinese to the waitress behind the counter and she let the woman pay for her meal before me although I was already waiting in line. This is a typical Chinese behavior that Ive observed. They have no common courtesy. The woman customer not having manner is one thing but I expect better from an employee. She shouldve told the woman that I was in line first and let me go first. I was tired and didnt feel like arguing so I let it go. But it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is near the bathrooms, and they tend to keep the door open. Sit as far away from the restaurant entrance as possible, to avoid the in rush of air carrying the wonderful smell of bathroom cleaners.Food portions were relatively small for the price. I had the Tomatoe Beef, and was unfulfilled for the few pieces of beef given. The price was also like $14, I think.

I dont know what they put in that orange sauce but it is so good. I always get the 21 with no kidneys and replace the noodles with thin egg noodles with soup on the side. Then I douse it with their orange sauce and its a wrap. I have family in Richmond so whenever I come to visit....this is a MUST when Im in town.

Fresh beef with Ho Fun Noodles is my favorite here. Pair that with some fried wontons and youll be here daily. Been coming here since 2002 for the best noodle soups in the bay, hands down!

Bad service and rude waitress. Their only concern is tips. They automatically apply tip into your bill without your consent. They apply a 25 % tip for mediocre service. They threaten to call the police if we do not give them the tip that they do not deserve. Beware of going to this establishment. Think twice. Very concern for the future customers. We are hesitant to patron this establishment again unless management re-train their employees to be more professional and respectful to their clientele. We have been coming to this establishment since it was VH noodle house. We are really disappointed with the rude response of your employees.

Our boss bring us here to lunch also every thursday! I love the rib soup with Chinese vegies and added wontons! Add a mango smoothy and im a happy camper! Cindy our waitress is always very pleasant and accomdating! Service is fast and the food yummy!

Had a craving for some pho and did a quick stop over since my boyfriend and I wanted to roam around the area. He suggested this place, since hes a fan and has been here before. Plus, he added that their #20 Cambodian/Thai Pho soup is good! I followed his suggestion along with the hot sauce he kept raving about. Wow! Not bad for a spicy soup. The hot sauce really helped out the flavoring a lot more too since the broth and seasoning didnt quite soak into the chicken, liver, shrimp, fishballs, etc. Around ESSJ, I cant think of a Pho place that serves this type of soup. Would I come back for another bowl? Heck yeah if I were in the area! Too far of a drive to come all the way here for soup, but I give this place a thumbs up.
