I love this place so much! The Sichuan food is delicious (the cold noodles, broccoli, and shrimp fried rice are my favorites!) and definitely try the mung bean tea. Prices are more than reasonable. The service is top-notch. The servers are kind, attentive, and the food comes out very fast. The restaurant is clean, tidy, and spacious.Even after moving out of LA, I make sure to stop by here every time I’m in town.

Worth the visit if your a fan of Chengdu Taste. The Sichuan flavors in convenient portions and the noodle dishes are delicious. Ordered the mapo tofu and beef rib dishes with maximum spiciness; they definitely continue to pack a flavorful punch in the Sichuan peppercorn taste and the other appetizers as well. Never forget to get plum juice as well. I will definitely come again when Im in the mood for spicy noodles.

First time here, had to scan to order. Wished we had the chance to talk to the waitress to get recommendations but we just went ahead and ordered the zhejang noodles, spicy beef noodles, pork dumplings, beef jerky, and fries. The spicy beef was our favorite. The noodles were bouncy and perfect. The beef could use a bit more time, it was more chewy and not as soft as I liked. The beef jerky was served cold, didn’t expect that and a pieces were tougher to chew. I thought it was okay. We enjoyed the pork dumplings. The zhejiang noodles were good but since it’s broth-less and only had chili oil on the bottom, it wasn’t as bouncy as the spicy beef noodles. The spicy level here is more like a numbing experience. Even at mild spicy level I had for the zhejang noodles, I felt the numbness on my tongue. French fries were standard and good. We spent around $50 for 2. Overall we would likely return and mainly order the noodles and pork dumplings.

Nice little noodle spot in Artesia. Service is quick and efficient. Ordering is all done online.This was me and my husband’s 2nd visit and it was great. We ordered the Chengdu Cold noodles and spare rib rice noodle soup. Both at medium spice and we think it could have been spicier.Overall, a great value if you want something quick, easy, and delicious.

Absolutely delicious Chinese food. Sichuan dishes of all sorts. This place is on the Michelin guide, and has every right to be on there. One player that was outstanding is the deep fried mushrooms, so flavorful and delicious. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Great prices as well. Servers are very kind. Menu and ordering is modern, done on the site through a qr code.

Amazing food! The vibes are dope there. You feel comfortable right away, theres music bumping, friendly staff, and we were starved right away. There was a little wait for the food, but completely worth it. Highly recommend if you want attention Szechuan style food!!

A tidy restaurant with flavor!Their food is full of flavor where spicy is Spicy and Savory is Savory. Had couole of appetizer items and these were tasty but small sampler sizes so I recommend on getting several to go with your main dish.Fried chicken was delicious and on point. My favorite was the spicy fungus appetizer that worked as a dipping sauce for another dish. This would be a great place to visit for a quick lunchI would highly recommend it!

Food and service was amazing! Ordered the pork dumplings, spicy beef noodles, and Chengdu Zajiang noodles. The spicy chili sauce in the dumplings was incredible. I will definitely be coming back for this dish.You submit your order thru the QR code and the food comes out so fast and hot.

Delicious dishes and very authentic tasting food. Their beef noodle soup is filled with flavor and I really enjoyed them. This is my second time coming back and I had the same great experience with service and food quality. Awesome stuff!

This place only opened recently. We know Mian from other locations; like the one in San Gabriel Valley.There is not only takeout but also outdoor seating available. The patio area looks very inviting and there is shade thanks to the big red umbrellas.Our favorite dishes here include spicy beef (Chengdu Noodles) and Chili Oil Chao Shou. We are also big fans of the black fungus dish.The manager is very attentive here and make sure that all customers feel well taken care of and get all the questions answered

Loved the food here! You will absolutely be satisfied with not only the food, but also the service here. Very modern but asian inspires design. Theres no where else where they will have sack benches as comfortable and unique as these! I had a few dishes with my family and we truly enjoyed the Sour and Hot soup, Beef and Intestine noodle soups! The chili is so delicious and has delicious flavor. I was so happy to enjoy their mung bean soup beverage and to experience Sichuan food! The workers here are very patient and attend to your needs as much as possible. They even went the extra mile to give me a lid for my mung bean drink home.The meat in the soup is soft, juicy, and flavorful. If all I had was 1 bowl of noodle soup, I’d be satisfied with that one dish. Everything on this menu is special and not what you will commonly find elsewhere! Definitely coming back and definitely enjoyed eating at a great place!Update: the soup taste a bit different. Wish it was more spicy, but they just add oil. It has flavor for sure, but I want spiciness! Even with level 3 and extra intensity requested.. it was medium spice. I still remember my first time it was so good I was coughing! Hopefully next time will be different.

Ordered sweet & sour seaweed as appetizer... Main course came quick ( shrimp fried rice );( had about 3/4 left of appetizer ).. Mixed them together and VOILA .. Enhanced both tastes .. A cornucopia/plethora/explosion of flavors in my mouth.

Incredibly nice staff, made the visit (even only ordering takeout) feel very welcoming.The noodles were perfectly balanced and the jerky was excellent. The server gave us a complimentary side which had to be the best cucumber salad Ive ever tasted. Highly recommend it!

This is a Sichuan restaurant, meaning the food is spicy. The menu tells you if the dish is spicy or not. The staff is friendly and prompt. Fairly new restaurant and clean. The food is good, portions are a bit small and vegetables are scarce. Price is reasonable. Good for a light meal (mainly noodle soups). Good but not a place to rave about.

This place could have gotten a higher rating. The food is great! Well-seasoned and chef seems to know Sichuan cuisines. However, THERE IS NO PAPER MENU! Resto wants you to scan a QR code and scroll through and online cart. The order gets sent to the cook and he prepares the food. Why is this the new normal? I insisted that I don’t want to look at my phone just to eat, but there’s just no othe option! No paper menu! There’s a paper placemat! Why couldn’t you print the menu there??Resto wants to have a Japan-style contact-free resto where you order from a machine and get food automatically (and hence there is no service) and yet has a tip line in the bill?? You are having your cake and eating it as well!!Just to be clear, I added a tip despite this, just because we haven’t gotten rid of this backward culture of companies paying people low wages.

The staff was very kind and helpful. They made it a pleasure ordering our food and were very patient with us. As far as the food, it was a very different rendition of Chinese food that I am used to. It was a very pleasurable experience enjoying our food. Crispy chicken appetizer is very good how ever watch out for small bones. All in all we are very pleased with the experience and will be returning soon and often.

My husband and I ordered Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. Half of the soup was oil. We both got upset stomachs. Worst soup. They also added a Healthy LA fee for 4% on top of the 10% sales tax. Never heard of a Healthy LA fee.

Hands down, Mians up!Mala, loosely translated, means hot & mouth-numbing taste. The heat comes from Sichuan chili, the numbing from Sichuan peppercorns. Swimming in a broth of oil & spices, its the quintessential taste of Sichuan cuisine. So, with great excitement, I came to Mian to have my first encounter with mala.Spicy black fungus-Cold, pickled fungus, I found this appetizer refreshing & bright. I even drank the pickling juice, too. And, it helped alleviate the heat between bites, from what would come next.Chengdu Zajiang noodles (medium)-Pondering upon either the spicy intestine soup or the Sichuan hot & sour soup, the attendant recommended Mians signature dish - the Chengdu Zajiang noodles. Glad I took her recommendation! After a quick zush to thoroughly coat everything with the fiery broth, I immediately discovered a new favorite noodle dish. The texture of the noodles had just the right amount of al dente thickness. My mouth numbed, my nose runny, sweat beading off my head - heaven! The only thing that wouldve made this perfect, was if the fried egg was over easy, and not well done. Imagining runny egg yolk oozing into the broth & noodles, I get giddy just thinking about it.Service was good. One person was providing customer service. I saw 3 tables with sofa-type seating, but was directed to one of the tables, instead. Parking is at the Fresh Catch shopping center, which can be difficult during peak hours. Mian is located on the right of Pepper Lunch.Get your Sichuan on at Mian! I was thoroughly impressed with their Chengdu Zajiang noodles. Medium heat is about all I can tolerate. I can see why Mian has been praised by the likes of Jonathan Gold. Im definitely stepping up to plate, and having another swing at mala when I return for more.
