Tasty noodles. the cuisine is a mixture of Vietnamese/Cambodian/Teochew and is rather unique in the area. I prefer the noodle dishes here when comparing to KimTars noodle dishes.They use the thick shitake mushrooms. 花菇

I typed in “hu tieu” in Yelp and this place popped up.There’s plenty of parking to the left of the building, while the right side was reserved for outdoor dining.I walked in the front door and said I wanted to dine-in. The guy said have a seat at the table and call him when ready to order.So we went to seat ourselves and on the table, had a little note that said when you’re ready to order, please call this phone number. That the menu could be viewed electronically on Yelp, inside on the wall, or printed paper menu at the entrance.We weren’t satisfied with the paper menu so we went back inside. The official menu on the wall had more pages with photos. The first page showed the types of noodles offered like large or small rice noodles, thin or thick egg noodles, and other types.We then proceeded back out to take a seat and then the food was brought to us in a bag with take out containers. I thought it was odd that the broth was in a separate container and you pour in the broth yourself into to the bowl. Condiments, garnishes, and veggies were all in sandwich bags. Oh prior to food coming out, we got served Chinese long doughnut.The portions were huge! My mom and I shared one soup broth container between the two of us.My mom got the hu tieu combo plus liver and I got mi (egg noodles) with char siu and wonton. My mom loved her meal and said it resembles Vietnam and how much she enjoyed it that she finished it all. For me, I enjoyed it. The broth was clear, not too sweet or salty, didn’t taste any msg. The portion was too much for me and I had to take the rest home.After we finished, we went back inside to pay the bill. I would think people have dine and dashed if payment is not taken beforehand since everything is in take out containers.

Ate the Pho Tai here. Pretty good. Meat is a bit tough and not tender though. If you are a big eater, you may want to order extra noodles. Free ice or hot tea. Pretty good tea. Service is quick. Been here three times and all three times the food came out quickly.

The best “Hu-Tieu” restaurant in an area with plenty of competition.We always get the char-siu with egg noodles and the special noodles with some Chinese doughnuts. I suggest getting the soup on the side so that you could taste the rich flavor of the noodles and the soup.

One of the best chinese vietnamese noodle style in the area. Sometimes lunch will be pack. However they have plenty of parking. The food is really good. Typical wonton noodle soup with a lot of verity however regardless whatever your choice, the broth is always good. Try their house made peanut chili. It is not spicy at all, but it is good to pair with noodles. I dont see any vegetarian options here. So dont expect it

While I never enjoy writing poor reviews I have to say that our visit to mien nghia was pretty subpar. The soup for our two dishes were both pretty mediocre — being bland and tasting of msg (and I usually like msg) but it felt like just boiled water with some dashes of msg without any other flavor. The green onion and ginger sauce for the hainan chicken is also not that great. Sadly the whole experience was a miss for us.

The assorted meat & shrimp noodle (#1-3) did not disappoint. Order with soup on the side, and if you like spice dont be shy with their delicious chili oil. I went with med egg noodle, they had a nice texture and soaked up the flavor. Pork kidney was very good. Service was quick, and to the point. Establishment seemed clean, no complaints!

Mien Nghia has become one of my go-to spots. They have an extensive menu with many delicious noodle and wonton options. The price is absolutely affordable and staff service is fantastic - super efficient, quick and friendly. It is located right next to Pizza Hut off Garvey and Del Mar. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a local dining destination. Thank you!

I ordered chicken with steam rice. Unfortunately, the rice was soggy. I been there before when the rice was good but yesterday it was rather soggy. I took it back and they did give me some more rice which turned out to be good. If I go early before 10am the chances that the take out food is still fresh is good.

This place hits the spot. Really like how you can get two kinds of noodles in one bowl. Although the Chinese donuts arent as crispy as Id like, the service here is fast and responsive. Almost no wait at all for our party of 5 on a weekend morning.

4 stars cause its a family favorite. Ive been a Mien Nghia lover for 20 years. The MSG is inevitable, so drink plenty of tea or remember to stay hydrated. You can also always ask for soup on the side and enjoy the noodle entree dry!

In the depths of Rosemead sits a quaint, stand-alone restaurant with an unassuming exterior. Keep your eyes peeled or you will likely miss it!#2 Assorted Meat & Shrimp w/ Egg Noodles -- You cant go wrong with either #1 or #2 on their menu as it comes with a little of everything. The only difference between the two are the noodles. The first page of their menu has all types of noodles you can choose from e.g. wide/thin rice noodles, wide/thin egg noodles, etc.I typically get my noodles dry (soup on the side) so I can dip as I go. While there was a healthy portion of assorted meat and seafood, the broth fell short. Without a strong soup base, everything else that comes with it wont make a difference. The soup lacked flavor so naturally, the entire bowl was rather bland. Their special satay sauce will become your new best friend.The immediate area has a surplus of restaurants specializing in Southeast Asian noodles but Miena Nghia sadly sits near the bottom of the list. Id suggest you pay a visit to Noodle Cafe if youre looking for considerable flavor.

Ive been going to Mien Ngia since I was a kid starting at their Chinatown location. Theyve since moved 2 more times with this being the newest location. Seriously I still recognize 3 of the workers there (one being the dragon lady).I ALWAYS get the Assorted Meat & Shrimp Noodle with half wide rice noodles and half wide egg noodles. :D LOVE the kidney in it as well. There *IS* MSG though, so drink lots of water throughout the day lol. Even with MSG, I just love this noodle bowl as its sooo comforting and reminds me of when I was a kid when I ate it weekly :)I recently tried their Hainan Chicken as it was recommended by a friend, and wow! Super tender chicken! This is definitely a great spot for it, if you dont want to deal with Savoys wait.- Check-in for a free dessert!- Food comes out FAST

The kidneys are very clean and have no peculiar smell. The quality of the product is very stable. The boss has a very good service attitude. When I saw that the guy didn’t keep up with me, I immediately served it myself. My colleagues and I often come here for lunch.
