First time here. Good food for a medium price. Great service, very attentive. They take reservations :-) Very good tempura, sushi, chicken teriyaki, noodle dishes, and appetizers. We will be back. More a casual dining place. Relaxed atmosphere.

Good food quality, nothing really stood out though. All the sushi rolls were hot/warm, had to put them in the fridge when I got home. Salt & Pepper Calamari was good, grilled squid was okay but definitely preferred fried calamari as an appetizer. After cooling, we ate the sushi rolls and flavor did improve but nothing really stood out as I mentioned before. Decided to try it out as the typical sushi joint I go to started closing on Mondays and Tuesdays, needless to say, I will wait till Wednesday next time. Friendly staff though.

Heard that if you want Japanese food while in Tracy this is the place to go…is this the only place to go? Anyway, it is above average Japanese food especially when in Tracy. I opted for the Saba bento with tuna sashimi sides of inari sushi seaweed salad with octopus. The salmon was okay, seemed to broiled then covered with teriyaki sauce. I got the same message regarding the teriyaki meat. I’d give the food above average and service exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place. Extremely busy on weekends especially for dinner.

I got Soft Shelled Crab delivered to go along with other food I got from doordash. The batter on the soft shell crab wasnt very good, it was the cheap puffy batter instead of the good and crispy kind I was hoping it would be, as Ive had this dish before from other restaurants. Other food here might be good, but Ive only had the crab and it wasnt that great.

It didnt disappoint us!This restaurant is not very far from where we lived. And e found out about this place becaue of the recommendation of a friend. And it didnt disappoint us. The sushi were really good and portions are bigger than were usual places we go too. The one that were really impressed was the sashimi. It was so good it just melts in your mouth. This place is definitely a must place to check out.

I ordered an hawaiian poke to go and it was terrible. The tuna tasted as if it was going to spoil in a day, it was very sour and off-putting. I spent 15 dollars for only that and the freshest thing was the Daikon they put on top.

This is another sushi resturant that stands on rolls with lots of sauces.They do not season their rice with anything.The nigiri has no wasabi underneath the fish to flavor and bind it to the rice.So here at Mikasa nigiri is a raw piece of fish on top of unseasoned rice.The lady informed me that people complained about the added wasabi and that they do season the rice. If you want nigiri made correctly you have to request it.The rice was 100% not seasoned.If you come here stick to the rolls, they can hide their incompetence behind layers of sauces.

Back when I lived in Tracy, I remember I use to have to go all the way to Lathrop for Mikasa. Im glad the Tracy community got what they deserve! The taste is similar to the Lathrop Branch as I remember.Theyre as Japanese-American sushi as it gets, i recommend the lion king roll or the volcano roll for you people that loves to do it for the gram

Always have an amazing experience here! I am a local resident in Tracy and local business owner and I have to say between their location here and in Lathrop you can always catch me at least twice a month at either one. Come here if you want good service and amazing sushi!

Pretty good wait time, as far as the selection it was pretty standard. Quite a lot of deep fried food which Im not a fan of. The sashimi was good quality, although there was no explanation of which fish was which. Actually the waitress kept walking off before we could finish our sentences... And I work in the restaurant industry I know I wasnt going on needlessly. Id ask her for napkins and in the same breath before I could ask about extra wasabi she would be gone. Also $6.50 for a pint of cheap asian beer is excessive and I would have liked to see a cocktails or wine list. I was having so much trouble asking for what I needed I decided not to ask for that as well.

Rolls were average at best (Spicy Eel Roll and DCS Roll tasted almost exactly the same - why?!), scallop shooter was so bitter it was inedible, grilled eggplant and Yuzu Shoju was good.I was surprised by the wait on Friday evening, so anticipate the wait and get there before you get hangry.

This was the first time Ive been to Mikasa. They were friendly, food was great and atmosphere was nice. It was a little colder than expected indoors but it was ok. The waiter and waitress were very accommodating with their service and even took some pictures for our holiday luncheon. They definitely care for their customers.

Incredibly disappointing. As a party of five, we had one of our meals come out and subsequently expected that the others were soon to come. Much to my surprise, the other four dishes didn’t come until a half hour later. Additionally, the quality of the food is sub-par and it smells like feet in the restaurant. Don’t let the bar fool you, they don’t have a drink menu and can’t serve you most of the drinks that a typical restaurant with a bar would have. 0/10.

We ordered at 6:27 pm and it’s 7:35 pm and still waiting for our order. And every time we go they keep saying 15 mins. I mean if you are that busy, just tell people that you don’t get take out orders or let people know that it will take at least one hour to get the order. So frustrated! Will definetly not come back! They prioritized doordash orders, but not the in-store orders. They don’t value their customer! And when we got the order food was already cold. So, pathetic!!!!!!!

I was not happy. The fried rolls tasted like they mass fry everything early. The ceviche nachos were lazily put together with not much flavor. The mussels were cold and felt old, and the sashimi, albeit a huge portion, just didn’t taste fresh.Our server also put a box on the table for our ceviche nachos since we were waiting for other food, so we had an awkward box on our table. He also forgot to return my credit card. I wasn’t planning to come back, but i had to because of my card.I never leave bad reviews, but this was an awful experience. Looking forward to trying other sushi places in the area.

Im glad they are open to eat in doors again. This is where my family loves to dine at. We got a reservation and they had our table ready. I was happy to see all the to-go orders ready for pickup, meaning they are still getting good business! Our food didnt take long to come out. The server was amazing, even with our large group we never had an empty glass! The udon noodles with chicken is a fam fave! Keep up the great business!

Unfortunately, Ive only been here twice and both times, within 30 minutes of eating, I became violently ill. I hate thinking its the food, but I cant ignore two for two. One tempura shrimp roll, I ordered n couldnt find the tempura batter in the middle, the size of it was tiny. I tried one piece n didnt eat the rest!! I ordered some sushi that was suppose to be raw tuna!!! Last I checked tuna is not pure white in color, wish I took a picture of the dish. You are paying for less worth than you are getting. California roll is sub par and the Bento Box is filled with too much rice and less meat. Pot stickers tasted like frozen pot stickers that were thrown into an air fryer. Sushi restaurants in the Bay Area have more value for your money, but with the limited options in Tracy, you get less than what you pay for at the cost of being more convenient to the residents of Tracy.

It takes me about 25-30 minutes to get to this restaurant so an hour of driving for sushi is enough. The owner Mama doesnt try to do anything but get me to come back.... two hours of driving for food is way too much. After trying to explain to her multiple times that I know what the rolls look like because I order from there all of the time, she starts being extremely rude, unhelpful and tells me she doesnt appreciate my business!!! Can you believe the audacity??!?!? Im baffled. Owner treated me like I was stupid, unpatronizing and not willing to help when they mess up. Wont go back because of this outlandish service. Mikasa usually has great food and the service is wonderful. However, I was not pleased to find that today took a different turn. I was waiting almost an hour for my food: fried rice. Surely it can’t be that long? I ordered a few other things, and, again, it took at least 30 minutes for them to make it. They gave me dirty cups, told me they ran out of soy sauce (surely an asian bistro can not run out of soy sauce. I also saw a full container on the other table). Would not recommend if you have other places to be.

Man, this place was a let down. Like no kidding, I think they’re faking reviews or something. I ordered 3 rolls and came here because SUPPOSABLY this place was almost 5 stars. I tried the first roll I opened and the fish had a odd flavor. Then I opened another roll and this one had a ton of tempura and I love tempura but the presentation of this roll looked like it fell onto the plate, then they got last nights bundle of tempura and smothered it onto the roll. This is low tier buffet sushi, and its way overpriced. Im not the type to bring food back but I had to.

Food was okay, not spectacular but that didnt matter because the service was horrid. It took us 2 hours to leave with 2 small children because of how long it took for every single thing. We had to ask 3 times for water and we sat there with no food, no check, and no attempt to check on us for 20 minutes. We got there shortly after 7pm and left at 9:20pm. Most of the time just sitting there waiting for our server to provide service. Ive never been more excited to get out of a restaurant before.

I called in my order an hour before the closing time and ordered 3 bento boxes and a couple of other items spending a little over 60 dollars kind you I live all the way across town from this establishment. I get home and an entire bento box is missing besides the salad and rice. I called they tried to just give me a credit for next time but being that it was my teenagers entire meal I needed it now. So I told them I’d be driving back to get it. Very rude customer service. Treated me as if I was trying to get extra food. It is very frustrating when someone has to drive back for food just to be told that they know it was in the bag. I work in the food industry and no matter what you don’t treat customers as I was treated tonight. I’m actually quite appalled.

Perhaps one of my favorite Asian restaurants. The ladies who tend the bar are great fun and thr rest of the staff are great as well.The sauces they use for their general udon are amazing. They offer green tea very cheap, brewed how it should be done (without tea bags) which was also pleasantly surprising.This restaurant does things right, even the small things.Very clean as well.

Slow service, and the nori was so hard to chew. The volcano roll was way too huge to fit a bite in a normal persons mouth? What is that about? Almost all the rolls we tried were super wide and not very art full for sushi. I usually like going to this restaurant in Tracy, but today I was quite disappointed. Since I am on a diet and cant really have any rice, I asked for them to do sushi without the rice around it. Mind you, tons of other restaurants who serve sushi have done it without question. They told me that was OK until I got to the place. Then I was told that they couldnt 😐. I already waited 25 minutes and was there after they said the food will be ready. They were still preparing the food which was fine with me, as long as they got my order right since Im already here. When I called on the phone I told them that in my Binto box I wanted no rice and just salad. I was already at home when I opened up the box and all they gave me was rice. They didnt give me any salad at all or the soup that usually comes with it. I called and the least they could say was sorry and if I wanted to come back to pick up my salad 😑. They said theyll do better next time but best believe there wont be a next one.I recommend that if you take food to go, make sure to check your food before you leave, to make sure the people there know how to follow the directions. I dont want anyone to waste $31 on nothing like I did. Yall lost a customer ✌. Next time Ill go elsewhere to another Japenese restaurant that caters to their customers and knows what theyre doing. I gave 2 stars to be nice.

Mostly made with good and fresh ingredients, but not up to the quality I usually expect from Japanese restaurants around here. Tempura breading was over-oily and soft, pot stickers had slightly undercooked contents, the salad was limp instead of crisp, and the katsudon was, again, over-oily with soft, almost wet breading. Especially noteworthy since I live almost literally a block away, so the breaded foods shouldnt have had enough time to absorb that much steam.

Since Mikasa opened, they continue to get better and better. Every time Ive been there (approximately 15 times) the staff have been very friendly and attentive. I usually stick to rolls or sashimi, which is always good. My favorite is the Jerrys Roll. Its a meal all by itself; with cilantro, garlic chips, different types of sashimi, tobiko, tempura shrimp, crab salad and a great sauce. I know Ive forgotten some ingredients. I will continue to visit Mikasa, you cannot go wrong.

Me and my girlfriend were very disappoint of how dreadful the taste of the California rolls and the red dragon was the absolute worse thing I have ever had, I immediately spit it out and gagged my life away.
