2023-10-26 14:45:24Food quality 4.7/55Service 4.8/5Atmosphere 4.5/5I recently dined at this premium all-you-can-eat Wagyu beef restaurant, and it was nothing short of a culinary delight. The quality of the beef stands out, garnering a well-deserved 4.7/5. Every bite melted in my mouth and showcased the intricate flavors of authentic Wagyu. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who ensured a seamless experience, earning a solid 4.8/5. The ambiance, rated at 4.5/5, provided a cozy and elegant setting, enhancing the overall dining experience. While its on the pricier side, the quality and experience justify the cost. Highly recommended for those seeking a luxurious dining treat!

2023-09-13 00:24:30Amazing. Highly recommend. I’ve been highly disappointed during several Shabu Shabu restaurants in Los Angeles.Super fresh meat, seafood, and vegetables.Best tasting dashi (house broth) I’ve tasted. The sauces were great. We went at 2:15pm and there was no wait. Our servers Anthony, Jeff, and Alex were fantastic. I appreciate the efficient and attentive service.

2023-10-29 03:17:19We came, ate, and conquered Mikiya! We came here for a farewell dinner for a friend moving away. Our party decided on the Premium M8/M9 Wagyu Set. Not going to lie, but when all the meats came sometimes it was hard to tell what meat was what. Regardless everything was so delicious. Since it was just a bunch of us girlies we ended up ordering about 4-5 rounds of meat. Everyone was allowed one speciality dish and you only get 1 seafood platter with this set which was perfect enough for all of us. The drinks are unlimited and there are side dishes like udon or tempura for example that was unlimited. We all ended the meal with a scoop of ice cream. From when you walk in service is top-notch. For a busy restaurant like this, the staff is very attentive. This restaurant has a cozy vibe since its not in the biggest space. As a big fan of hot pot, I highly recommend checking this place out once. This is a celebration restaurant for life’s big milestones.

2023-10-08 04:52:42First time and what a treat! It seems the rarity of finding the Japan A5 Wagyu beef at a restaurant is over.In a traditional Japanese shabu shabu style, I had one of my most favorite meals with my family here. The food selection is top notch for quality and taste. The melt in your mouth Japan A5 Wagyu beef with a hint of sukiyaki broth and a pasteurized egg dip was delectable and life changing. The selection of food was plentiful and satisfying. The service was top notch. It seemed someone was always looking for an empty plate or glass to refill. Our main server, Tyler, took the time to explain and answer all our questions. He was so efficient that our food was delivered to our table before he left from answering all our questions. One of the best eating experiences, I have had with my family.Arigato, Tyler!

2023-09-10 01:19:25They will not seat you until your entire party is there, even when it’s 4pm and there’s hardly anyone inside. The food and table service were great. Make sure you know how to cook your meat properly. If you overcook wagyu, it’s just a waste. The seafood was super fresh as well. Personally I don’t like how close the tables were to each other. I don’t want to hear someone else’s conversation or have to speak over them. The parking is always full here, sometimes it’s easier just to go straight to the garage parking. The bits of beef on top of the bone marrow was a nice touch. The wagyu nigiri was perfectly medium rare. I tried the sukiyaki and house flavor broths and the sukiyaki was so good that I ended up cooking everything on that side. The sets include drinks and ice cream. Overall I had a good experience, but I don’t know if it’s worth the cost.

2023-08-12 14:27:42Just everything WOW. We got the $55 set menu and you have 90 minutes to enjoy AYCE Australian Wagyu or American Wagyu. Every menu item was fresh and delicious. The seafood was so incredibly fresh too. The price was worth the amazing meal. Service was fast and attentive. Take the drive out here and try for yourself.

2023-06-06 05:16:47Yum this place is delicious. I came here right when it opened 11am on a Friday and there were people already waiting outside. The ambiance of this place was gorgeous as you walk into a sleek and modern interior.I got the $55 set menu and it came with unlimited wagyu meat, a seafood platter, choice of specialty entree, drink, and ice cream dessert. Everything from beginning to end was incredible. Even the sauces that come with the meat were flavorful. The marbling on the meat was top notch and tasted rich and tender. Each wagyu piece was thinly sliced and cooked evenly. The bone marrow melted in your mouth like butter. I was really blown away by this place and will for sure come again on my next special occasion.

2023-11-01 04:18:26A great addition to the Costco food court. Yep you heard me right. As many comments already said, the tortilla chips here are straight from Kirkland, as is the Sesame sauce. (which this one I didnt realize until after). I have my own contribution to this aswell - even the Shrimp TEMPURA is even from our buddy good old Kirkland himself. Yep. I eat those frozen tempura shrimp all the time it is exactly the same, it even tastes like they just put it in toaster/oven (which is the correct way to reheat the Kirkland frozen tempura). I mean theyre not bad but youre paying top dollar for microwave reheated frozen shrimp tempura from Costco.... Ok, nothing wrong with that for some people I suppose...As for the A5 Wagyu, there is no way in the universe it is real A5 Japanese Wagyu. I have been to Japan and even the regular wagyu rated A3 or below had much better intramuscular fat than this. I dont care what certifications they got from buying the real deal one time. And I realize that obviously they would lose huge money selling $100+/lb meat. Yes. but deceptive, AGAIN? Just say A2 or something that it really is and move on. The meat quality is not miles better than other ayce shabu places such as allthat, momo, shabuya, etc.....Two strikes, cant be another one right?Wrong. So they are the same company as chubble cattle right? but the membership that happens to have the same perks and cost the same annually, does not apply! Yep the chubby cattle group wants you to get your special Mikiya ONLY membership for an extra $28 a year, even if you already paid for a chubby cattle one. Okay, what other Mikiya locations can I use it at? Oh, nope this is the only store?! Deceptive AGAINx2.Three STRIKES!

2023-04-18 23:14:58Went for the Holiday Menu which is their priciest one. Averages out around $125 per person with an 18% tip. This menu lets you order A5 Japanese Wagyu with no limit so if you can eat a lot, its worth it.Dishes I wouldnt recommend getting would be the Bone marrow and the other Wagyu if you opted for the priciest menu. They just arent worth it.The nigiri was actually a good flavor break from eating the Wagyu and the other side dishes (not all listed here) were pretty good, contrary to expectations. I think all the sets comes with unlimited drinks and desserts, so you dont have to worry about just drinking plain water.Overall, I would give this place a 4.3-4.4 since the price is something to look at.

2023-08-28 00:01:27The meat quality is extremely high considering that it’s an AYCE place. I recommend trying one of the premium (Japanese Wagyu) sets if it’s your first time there. It includes specialty dishes like bone marrow, Wagyu tartare, nigiri. The seafood platter includes abalone, crab legs, shrimp, scallop, etc. You also get to try different cuts of Japanese A5 wagyu. We’ve decided to go with the basic set next time because that’s the most cost-effective option. Honestly Japanese wagyu is just too fatty and rich to be enjoyed as AYCE style. We both agreed that the Australian wagyu is just as fresh and delicious.Seafood and vegetables are also fresh and delicious. Honestly they offer the best ingredients I’ve ever seen at an AYCE place.We(2ppl) walked in on a Sunday @2pm and got seated right away with no wait. it’s a full-house inside we just got lucky. A large party is recommended to check/join waitlist on YELP.
