Mikuni in Roseville

Had a nice dinner with 3 coworkers. Very good/ fresh sushi! Able to accommodate a vegetarian in our party. Very active and busy location. Waiter took plenty of time to educate us on the vast menu. Ended up splitting a 2 person combo with a friend. Perfect amount of food and variety. I would highly recommend this path as you get appetizer, entree, sushi rolls, dessert. I will be back!

We got the 2 for $65 dinner:Illegal Asparagus (tender and deliciously seasoned)Sea Steak (generous serving of excellent fish served in glass noodles with a savory sauce)Annie Roll (my favorite)Spicy Johnny RollMochiThis was the perfect amount of food and we got to sample many items. We really enjoyed everything.The third person at our table got the beef curry which was delicious and enormous. He also enjoyed the sunomono salad.

I have been worshiping mikunis since 2002. The food is always amazing. Had my dog in my car and for some reason a employee felt the dog was overheating. She decided to throw water everywhere in my car multiple times because she thought the dog was hot. It was 9:00 at night and we just had come from the lake. The dog was still wet. All the windows were down thats why she could stick her hand in my truck to throw the water everywhere. Totally uncalled for. The manager did nothing. He didnt even come over to our table to say. I will never go back. 😞

Unfortunately, out of all the locations Ive frequented over the past 20 years, the Roseville store is consistently sub par. I debated going to The Fountains instead but due to time constraints, thought Id give Roseville one last try. I was sadly disappointed. The BBQ Tuna (albacore) that, at every other location, is always like butter in my mouth, was overcooked. I debated sending it back but thought better of it for fear of behind the scenes repercussions. So I choked my way through until I couldnt do it again. I did make the manager aware of the quality issue coming out of his kitchen. He simply said that I shouldve let him know sooner, he wouldve had it remade. No thanks. I also ordered one of my favorite rolls, the Hangover Roll. It was meh. The chef skimped on the creamy sauce and it was much more compact than other stores. Trying to cut back on costs? I dont know why! These two items and a glass of water were $38. For one person. Disappointing.

Attentive service and superb food! Easy to order exactly what you want, they are very flexible and accommodating, which is helpful when you have food restrictions. Prices similar to other sushi places.Sesame chicken was tasty. Illegal asparagus was very flavorful, especially with the special sauce! I got a custom Avocado and tempura sweet potato roll. Perfect! So delicious! Shared some of the garlic edamame -- so good! Garlicky flavor with just a touch of cilantro. Yum!This was my first visit, and I gotta say it lived up to its excellent reputation. After the lunch rush around 1:30 - 2:00 pm would be a good time to pop in! Enjoy!

Great restaurant! Came highly recommended from Locals and I see why. They were out of one of the items we wanted but otherwise wide selection. My boss introduced me to a salmon skin hand roll, will order ever time moving forward.

Food: It was just alright, but the cost makes it lose another star. The udon soup was bland and the chicken in it was overcooked. Sushi was average. Pot stickers were good. Dishes had some stuff on it as well, probably from drying them with a towel. I had to wipe them with a napkin.Service: Serving staff were polite and attentive. Booster seats available upon request. Absolutely no concerns in this area.Atmosphere: The restaurant has nice background music and tvs playing sports with no sound. Also, the sun was piercing the windows so keep that in mind when you plan your visit here. They have screens trying to block it, but one side of the table had to try ducking to avoid being blinded. Lastly, the bathrooms need attention as they were both unclean.Overall not a bad restaurant, but not deserving of a return visit.

Showed up at 9p for a late dinner. Sat at the bar but was a little surprised that they were starting the end of night clean up. It felt unwelcoming.The food was outstanding and the service was good. Id totally eat there again, but might suggest arriving before 9p!

What can I say that hasnt already been said. Its Mikunis! Absolutely great food, service and atmosphere!

I love the food and customer service at this location. They have the best lobster roll and the tofu too. I asked for a side of avocado and they was a hair inside, the server helped me with excellent attitude and solve the problem right the way. Will definitely come back here again and highly recommend this place for sushi
