Mikuni Elk Grove in Elk Grove

Mikunis is unique as it offers a large collection of sushi rolls. I personally enjoy the bobs roll whenever I visited. Although recently I ordered the limited time rescue roll. Typically their rolls have more ingredients than more traditional sushi, but even with that in mind the rescue roll was really salty and hard to get down without a large amount of water. Everything else in the menu is great and the hand rolls are a solid classic. A great local spot for once and a while occasion.

Ive been to Mikuni about 6 times now. Its always been fairly busy, and when its busy its incredibly loud there. The staff has always been friendly, and I think the longest Ive waited for a table was 30 minutes. The food is delicious, and usually comes out pretty quickly. I cant tell you if the real sushi is good or worth the money, since I dont eat seafood and only get vegetarian rolls. The edamame is delicious, and my favorite is the Vegi-ten roll with veggie tempura inside. Going during happy hour saves you a few bucks, and is definitely worth it.

Easy to find, plenty of parking spaces. We had to wait to be seated. The waiter is a young man who lacks attendance and hospitality.Complicated menuMojito tasted like water.Fresh seafood and good presentation.Ok prices.

I had the spider roll, and I have to say it was the worst spider roll I have ever had. The batter soft shell crab inside was just burned up batter with no crab. Very disappointing. The tempura appetizer, the incredible roll, and the spicy tuna were good.

Good service, nice and friendly server, but food is below average. Im only speaking for the items I ordered. The noodle does not worth over 20bucks. It looks like a bag of supermarket udon and stir fried with shrimp which I can make at home for less oily and probably taste better. Small rolls compare to others. But they close later than other sushi restaurant.

My first time being here, wagyu beef is a gimmick, probably real wagyu, not very tender, open set up is nice but not as impressive, just my personal taste, sushi not very special, overall experience is ok, maybe next time will try something different and modify my comment

First time being here and we werent disappointed. My daughter wanted sushi for her birthday so we decided to on Mikuni. Came in around 3pm wasnt too busy, we were seated fast and got our drinks and ordered bunch of stuff off the happy hour menu. I ordered the beef curry 🍛 😋 and wife ordered beef teriyaki kiss ordered chicken teriyaki and the sushi lunch combo every thing was delicious service was great. My daughter was happy and so I was we all will definitely be back to try more stuff.. shout out to Winter our server he was great very attentive and kept checking in on us. Thank you for making a memorable birthday experience for us all. Fyi.....Ps the flaming shrooms were my favorite dish...

We usually like Mikuni but this visit was definitely off. Its probably the location as well. Our service was very good, but the kitchen was very slow. The curry was a little bland and the sushi looked to be breaking apart. Bathroom had a broken urinal and a sink that didnt work. The Koki club app was also not working and there is little to no signal and inoperable wifi in the store to fix it. Be sure to also check your receipts. We came for happy hour and was charged regular price. The staff fixed this though when we caught it just be on alert.

Lovely restaurant. We stopped for lunch. Food was fresh and delectable. We enjoyed every bite of everything we ordered. A lot of fun vege options was included in the menu. Service was very accommodating as well. Well definitely be back again soon.

Didn’t enjoy my birthday lunch. Ordered 2 bento sets, 1 sake don (salmon over rice). All didn’t impress any 4 of us (2 children). The bentos were both disappointments. Had less meat compared to what we are used to at Crazy Sushi at better prices. Also got less salad in the bentos, and no miso soup comes with bento order! :-( Upon being served our 3 items, husband commented, “so much rice in these 3 orders, so little meats (prawn tempura 3 pieces, chicken teriyaki big pieces but few and no taste inside, California sushi used imitation crab instead of crab salad inside, salmon teriyaki was the only okay item). Sake don comes with like 9-10 pieces of salmon and roe on top of rice, only vegetable is one leaf. Not an item I’ll order again. Lady server came a few times to ask if we are okay, husband asked to refill drink. Said okay but forgot, came back after 15 mins, again asking if we are okay, then refill drink. Seems they are checking if we are okay only for the sake of checking. $65 excluding $10 tip. Rather go to Kura Revolving or Crazy Sushi. Not coming back here again.
