Mikuni Folsom in Folsom

Our servers name was Kate, and she was wonderful! We came for happy hour, and were quickly seated in her section in the sushi bar area of the restaurant. We ordered a coke, which tasted slightly off (our theory was that the syrup ratio in the machine is incorrect). That being said, there was almost nothing but positives for the remainder of our stay. We had ordered the zigzag roll and fair oaks roll, and also asked Kate on her recommendation for two further items on the menu. Her choices for us were the freaky edamame and the puff daddy. Total of $33 +tax and tip for 4 happy hour items and a beverage. Not a bad deal at all, especially considering the higher priced normal menu. The puff daddy wasnt my favorite, but my girlfriend enjoyed it a lot, so take that for what you may! Ambiance resembles San Francisco style sushi bars, with a modern take. Slightly dark in some areas of the restaurant, with the possibility for some romantic dinners during less busy times of the day.Overall rating 8.2/10TLDR: Kate is a great server, decent prices on happy hour, puff daddy was middle of the road, coke tasted off, nice ambiance, pleasant staff. This is a local chain. The lunch deals and combo plates are a good deal, the best bang for your buck. As for the quality of food, it’s fair. You’ll enjoy a nice lunch/dinner here. The service is great here. There’s plenty of servers so they come around often.

Refreshing to find an oasis in the middle of the afternoon when hunger pangs say, “No, not a burger. Give me some real food.” It tastes even better than it looks.

Update: We are keeping this as five stars. The food is consistently high quality. We enjoyed lunch at the sushi bar with sushi chef, Chevy. He was very engaging and prepared us excellent sushi rolls. You just cant go wrong!Previous Review: We have been to several other Mikuni restaurants but it was our first time at the Folsom location. We were not disappointed. The high quality of food is very consistent, and the service is amazing. We can never go wrong with Mikuni. Fans for life here! 🍣🍸🍹

Food and service is always top notch. Never a bad visit. We sat outside this time because the weather was good and still had great service with smiles.

Simply one of the best sushi i have ever had. Incredible quality. Good service. They have some amazing rolls like DMC and Japanese Mafia. Also they have a nice outdoor area. Keyana did an amazing job. Thank you.

Food quality is pretty consistent with the other Mikuni locations in Sacramento. Every roll we ordered was prepared amazingly!Good location- feels kind of small inside but they do have an outdoor patio area.Staff was friendly. Only thing I wish they changed was the hours of operation on Friday/Saturday. It closes at 10pm.

Always fresh fish and great tasting sushi when we come here. Sometimes a wait at their busy times but nothing too long. Worth it for the great meal and great service. Fun for kids also. Place to bring stroller, kids can be loud. Thanks Mikuni.

Loved the food, ambiance, and service. Everything we ordered tasted good. Have been there multiple times with family and friends. Benjamin roll is my favorite.

Amazing food, great location, service with a smile. Great tasting sushi, edamame,katsu etc.Loved the lighting at the place. Has seating both indoor and outdoor.I notice that this place closes sooner than later in my opinion and it would be great if the place stayed open for some more time.
