2023-10-09 23:11:34A nice and cozy corner restaurant serving a variety of breakfast and lunch meals. You sit anywhere you want and pay at the counter. The red seats are comfortable. There are a lot of decorations around the walls and near the seats. The Crab Cake Benedict with hashbrowns was delicious and filling, cooked well and prepared on a large plate. I was offered a ranch dressing for fries which was a great idea. The Root Beer Float came with extra root beer so as the ice cream melted, I could top up and continue getting the mixed flavor. Outside, there was ample parking, and the roads are not too busy noise-wise.

2023-05-28 19:39:38First things first, the service is top-notch. The staff are so friendly and efficient, you might start to wonder if they have a secret stash of caffeine hidden in the kitchen. And lets talk about the food. I mean, who doesnt love a good breakfast? My personal favorite is the crab cake Benedict. I do have to admit that the hash browns were just okay. I mean, they werent terrible or anything, but they didnt quite live up to the rest of the meal. But thats okay, because my girlfriend had the waffles and they were pretty dang good. And lets not forget about the pricing. Its more than fair for the amount of food you get, and I promise you wont be leaving hungry. Mels Diner is a great spot for anyone who wants to experience an old-fashioned diner with amazing food and friendly service.

2023-10-08 18:36:59We came here for over 2 years, and months ago, we started noticing service was not as good as used to be. But today was the worst experience. Waitresses are so rude, all of them, food it took so long and the cherry in the cake the cashier was extremely rude too. So this was our last visit. Hope this business is still successful for the owners. The employees really need a class of manners and customer service. Best of wishes to all of you.

2022-03-14 14:53:14Good diner place. We tried their four eggs low cal vegetarian omelette with country side potatoes and sourdough bread on the side. The omelette was great but mild in taste, potatoes were nice and crispy. We also ordered a bagel with cream cheese and they gave us butter on the side too, bagel was good in taste. If you order regular coffee, they will continue to refill. Also, they have plenty of menu options to choose from which is good, the staff is nice and friendly.

2023-01-14 19:55:36The long-time owners of Mils have retired and sold the restaurant to long-time employee Terry and faithful customer Anthony. With the enthusiastic support of the immense cadre of repeat customers, Mils is better than ever! Expect bountiful portions, the fluffiest omelets in town and the juiciest burgers. Friendly and efficient service from expert servers completes the experience. Try the chicken and waffles they are the best in the South Bay!

2022-07-07 16:27:50Went here for breakfast after seeing and hearing about it being the best breakfast joint around. We were greeted warmly and promptly when we arrived. Throughout our visit, our server (I am guessing she was the owner, too) was super helpful, friendly, and patient. She explained everything we would ever want to know about the various breakfast options we were interested in. The food was served hot, fresh, and in generous portions...almost too much to eat even though we were very hungry. The only two criticism we have are that we found the pancakes to be too thick and cake-y and the chicken fried steak was kind of tough and stringy. However, the great prices and the warm and friendly service more than made up for those two minor quibbles. We will be back next time we are in the area for another home cooked meal!

2022-05-31 18:57:01A breakfast and lunch diner with an old school vibe. We had a ham and cheese omelette that was pretty good, we asked for well done hash browns and they came out very nice and crispy but had an ever so slight off taste. We also ordered biscuits and gravy, the gravy was very good. The place has an old style to it with padded booths and counter service with stools. The wait staff was very polite, attentive and took good care of us. This place looks like it has a lot of regulars who have been coming here for years. I would stop by again if I was in the area and hungry for a good breakfast.

2021-10-24 23:25:27We went got a Sunday brunch around noon and there was a 26 minute waiting. We waited and got in. Loved the crab cake Benedict. It was very crispy and delicious. Hash browns were okay as I could taste the old oil thing. Blueberry pancakes were amazing except we forgot to mention don’t put the frosting but that’s our bad. Overall good experience and food was heavy. The staff was also very friendly and sweet. Would love to go there again!

2023-07-13 19:26:19This place has great food and very friendly customer service with a smile. The portions are very generous and tasty. The atmosphere is dated back to 50s-60s style. Very nostalgic. Great place to meet up with friends and family for breakfast or lunch. I usually get the country fried steak with pancakes, which comes with hash browns, eggs, and a choice of sausage or bacon. I also get their big Belgium waffle, which is so good. It has a nice light crunch with an airy chew to it. I highly recommend Mils to all!
