Minato Sushi in Lake Forest

Excellent sushi, fresh sashimi and tasty bento boxes! Sushi special 3 rolls for the price of 2! We had a large party with separate checks. Service was good but food came in waves and totally understandable. Upper middle for quality and value...$85 for 2 of us. Will come back, not every week.

Came here for the first time. I got the bento box lunch special. It was a great deal for under $20.Everything was delicious. The customer service was awesome and the food came out super fast. After I ordered next thing I know I was eating.I can’t wait to try their sushi next time!

My husband and I were driving by and decided to try this place out- and it did not disappoint! Sunday night - the place was busy but the ambiance was very welcoming! Angie was our waitress and she made the experience great! She made excellent recommendations and answered all questions that we had! The rolls were amazing! We had the lobster roll - rainbow roll - crunch roll and sashimi regular. Angie also recommend the perfect beef and sake! We will definitely be back soon! Thank you Angie! You are awesome!!

First of all, it is not all you can eat!I do not recommend this restaurant!Also the customer service wasn’t good!

Everything is wonderful except the price which seems to rise every time I return. Then choosing a third choice of shrimp tempura instead of mixed twice netted me two shrimp minus the veggies. Not fair. But excellent food regardless. Minor gripe.

Every time weve placed a pick up order we have had to wait an extra 45 mins. When I placed the order the server told me to pick up in 30mins. 1hr 15 mins later we are still here waiting for our order.I dont mind waiting for an order but dont give me such an off estimate and waste my time if you arent able to meet that time. Standing at your door for 45 mins on a Saturday night is not what I had planned for when I chose this place. Whats the point of takeout if Im here longer than the people dining at this place?And there are 4 other customers here waiting as long as we have been to pick up their order as well.Went to check on an update and was met with attitude from the female receptionist with blonde hair, like seriously? When she came back with the order (finally) she didnt even hand it to us and just left it on the counter. Well, Im glad theres another sushi place across the street cos we arent coming back here.Updating this to 1 star because our fried dishes were cold and soggy by the time we got home with the order.

Food was edible, not much flavor. Service was ok they take your order and bring it... thats all, they will not follow up to make sure you are doing ok. The atmosphere was basic but the ac was not working so it made it very uncomfortable. I will not be returning.

A local no frills sushi restaurant. Friday night service was inconsistent. They were very busy with takeaway orders. Some of the sushi were too large and haphazardly made. Did not try the sashimi.

The chirashi bowl meal. A bowl of rice topped with disappointment. Partially uncooked eel, Double the price for a fraction of the fish (compared to competitors)... Comes with steamed edamame and miso.

Take “all-you-can-it” for $27.99 and eat :))). My favorite was tuna tataki and salmon. Quail eggs were good, as well as oysters and fresh water eel. As of uni - I didn’t like it here.
