On our first visit to Mingalaba, we had a delightful experience. The service was excellent, with a friendly server who patiently explained each dish when we had questions. As an appetizer, we ordered the crab and cheese dumplings, and though there were only four pieces, they were bursting with delicious flavors. The Mango Salad is a definite must-try. We were impressed with both the choice of ripe mango and the overall presentation of the salad. It was so good that we had to save some for the end to savor with the rest of our meal. Finally, we decided to try something new, and the Moo Hing Nga dish turned out to be the perfect choice for our taste buds. The soup and fish flavors were delightful. While we usually go for the samusa soup, this one was equally enjoyable.Overall, highly recommend visiting this restaurant, as our experience was truly enjoyable.

4.5 stars.Best Burmese restaurant in the peninsula.Best dishes:- paratha: buttery, soft, served hot with yummy sauce.- samusa soup - flavorful. Also a good surprise for the people who have not had this before- green papaya salad - excellent. With a bit of kick and just enough of spiciness, sourness, and sweetness on the tongue.SOLID:- Rainbow chicken: tender chicken with structure. Balanced flavor.- Green beans. Always crowd pleaserSKIP:- tea leaf salad: the proportions are off. Too much tea left and not enough cabbage. The Burma superstar version of this is so much better.- shan noodle: noodle is overcooked. Just with tofu and sauce. A bit too bland for my taste.

The food here was very good though a bit overpriced in my opinion. We got the paratha appetizer, pumpkin chicken curry, and burmese lamb curry, with a side of coconut rice. Everything was great but just slightly smaller than expected.

This was a first time try, The food was decent. I like this food because the meal was very light. Even when I was full I don’t feel heavy and lethargic, I felt relaxed and content. The service was quick, and the price point was valid. I would come here again.

I have tried this place several times. The flavor of each dish is rich, and the service there is hospitable and welcoming.I had Shan noodles with Burmese iced tea. The Shan noodles are a little spicy (not too much), and the noodles are similar to rice noodles, providing a mochi-like chewiness. They are accompanied by small pickles and black beans, which enhance the overall flavor. The Burmese iced tea is enjoyable; unlike Thai tea, it has a more herbal taste.

Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with my last visit to Mingalaba. 3 years ago I really fell in love with that Restaurant. During my last visit I felt that the food was not that flavorful and the portions were pretty small. The employees are very nice and the restaurant ist pretty small. I recommend to book a place beforehand if you want to go.

Cant really attest to the authenticity of Burmese but it feels like a fusion of Indian and Chinese flavors. Tried the tea leaf salad, Burmese pork potato curry and house special noodles. The tea leaf salad was good but not special tasted just like shredded cabbage with peanuts. The house special noodles was a bit lacking in flavor maybe spicy wouldnt been better. Neither of those I works prefer again. The pork curry was amazing! I could eat just that with rice next time. Pork was tender stewed with a rich and slightly spicy red curry sauce. Service was adequate. Large outdoor seating area.

I recently enjoyed a Sunday dinner at Mingalaba Restaurant and we were pleasantly treated to a great potpourri of food dishes which were reminiscent of India, China, and Southeast Asia. I particularly enjoyed the Samosas, The Chicken Curry, and the Crab & Cheese wraps. When we dined on Sunday evening, the dining room was full as well as the outdoor curbside seating. Although busy, The staff did an extraordinary job of servicing our table. One important tidbit we noticed was the sanitary practices of the staff. Ten stars for their cleanliness and attention to details.
