Always wanted to be here to try their kadhai, but they dont have any vegetarian option.On our demand, they made Paneer kadhai for us. It was ok, not so great, but I liked the fact that they made this for us.I happened to be there again. Even though the food tastes good, I dont like the wait time and the way they handle customer. It took over 15 mins just to get a glass of water. Busy kitchen doesnt answer this. If you have enough time, then only go to this place. Food would take at least 30 mins to show up on the table.
Garlic naan:Was alright. Not fluffy and yummy as other placesPlain naan:Literally so plain. Yikes. Dry as hell.Paneer tikka masala:This tastes like plain ghee with orange red food coloring. Absolutely disgusting.Dal makhani:This was the only good thing and it wasnt amazing either.

This place is incredible! My husband and I are very picky when it comes to food. We like quality and authentic. Weve eaten at dozens of Indian restaurants and can absolutely tell the difference between quality over quantity and here you DEFINITELY get QUALITY! The flavors are amazing, the chicken is always moist! The mint sauce is so delicious I always get more! We used to drive all the way to LA for our favorite spot for Indian food. Ever since we found this place we have never had to make that insane drive to LA and Im so glad 😊. Its also right next to the laundry mat so we always come here for lunch while we wash out clothes 😃
I love this place, my wife and I eat from here at least once a week, last order we had the Karachi is always on point and cant be better but they Changed the chicken tandoori, its less flavored and ot properly cooked. Will definitely eat again, hopefully it wont happen again.
This is one of the best Indian places that I have ever been to.I always have the lamb khorma or butter chicken. DELICIOUS!The tandoori chicken is brought fresh and sizzling to your table, melts in your mouth. I have been to so many Indian restaurants and there’s no comparison. I keep coming back to these guys. It’s family owned. The mom dad and their adult kids are so nice. I highly recommend The Mint
Had our first experience last night with Mint. The take-out was excellent. As a Brit, we have had a lot of Indian food over the years and this was very good. Great tastes, generous portions, fresh and hot, timely service for pick up after phone in order. Will be back there soon! I saw they had a tent outside with four tables very far apart for a comfortable social distance so might eat there next time rather than take out.
Good food and good service, but no rice or naan is included and both cost extra in addition to the meal.
Food tasted too blunt and over priced. We ordered goat biriyani and beef shesh kabob. They barely put spices in any of those items. I wonder how this tasteless biriyani is so expensive. Dont be fool with google rating and the menu price. They recently changed the manu prices and everything is almost doubled in price. I wont go there again, and would recommend to avoid this place.
This is the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. All of the food is cooked with precision, care, and talent directly when it’s freshly ordered. The food is absolutely delicious. I’ve never tasted anything as good. It’s the best place I could too and eat food that feels homemade and enjoyable. It also has a great variety and you can decide wether or not you want certain things like a lot of spice in your food. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Mint Restaurant was absolutely fabulous! The BEST indian food i have ever had. and not to mention the service was impeccable. We were treated with the upmost care and kindness by our waiters, and they were fast and attentive with our requests! This is a new favorite spot for my husband and i.
This place has very mediocre food. The biryani we ordered was sort of dry, the sauce is pretty good but my main issue is the price. They over price the food and they didn’t even give us any utensils very bad service in my opinion will not be coming here again.

We just happened upon this restaurant and arrived two minutes before closing. They were already moving all the tables from outside to inside, so I wasnt sure if they would serve us. They kindly greeted and welcomed us with a smile. All the dishes we tried were EXCELLENT (including the naan and the rice) and the service was efficient and friendly. The food AND the service are 5 stars!!!
I love Mint. They have delicious food. I always have to get a few different dishes- the butter chicken, vegetable korma, and lamb Karahi are my favorites. The garlic naan bread is also tasty. Food is halal, and portions are of a good size. Always enjoy eating from Mint.
I have been living around this area for 16 plus year, but I have never got the feeling that at restaurant waiter could bring me an unhygienic utensils as he argued with us as we appeared there to pick up our food 5 to 7 min before he told us over the phone. We decided to eat there but he refused very harshly stating we are an arrogant customer. There is was a huge gap of communication and understanding. He really gave us very bad look and gave me and my friend an empty box when we ask for paper plates so we can sit outside and eat. He gave us one disposable box and asked to tier apart and use it for both of us. I asked him to charge some money and give us another box so we can eat decently. He argued and went inside unhappy to grab the box, that’s where I got the vibes that I never ever got in my whole life from any restaurant that he is going to give us unhygienic box or plates to use. We left the restraint with one box and me and me friend ended up eating in that one box by tearing it apart, which is not a bad thing for us. But having such disrespect and bad vibes from a person who you expect to prepare and give you food is not safe at all. I would never recommend to eat there, as safety and health is first while eating anywhere. Just to clear this is the guy who normally charges your credit card and he refused to share his name.ThanksUmer
I wanted Indian food, a pregnancy craving, but had high expectations due to a favorite place we liked in Loma Linda. I expected less than what I got. Delicious veggie korma and chicken tikka masala. I almost cried. Very grateful their flavors didn’t let my cravings down. Thank you for making such amazing food!

A simple little place but what a nice surprise! As soon as you walk in the aromas make your mouth water. The food was excellent. Possibly the best Indian food weve ever had. The flavors were so fresh and bright. We tried the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Vindaloo both with medium heat. Along with rice and garlic naan. The spiciness was just right. The portions were generous. The prices very reasonable. And the naan was yummy to the last bite. I think we will become frequent visitors.

This is one of the worst and ok restaurant in that area for biriyani. Biriyani doesnt smells like biriyani at all. It looks like tomato rice(not even basmati rice it is like thick rice) with chicken and other meat in it. There lamb kabab and Chicken thandoori are great. Please ensure the gratitude before dine in please.
The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. I initially visited here when they first opened, and had the buffet. I was not disappointed then. Came in tonight for dinner and the food was as good, if not better. I definitely recommend it, and will be back next time Im in the area, and craving Indian food.

Awesome food and great proportions. I ordered the chicken karahi and they literally brought it fresh and sizzling in a ... yep karahi lol. The server asked our spice level and we asked for spicy. The servers were very attentive. They kept asking us how everything was and were very friendly. My only critique would be that they should brighten up the decor a bit more.

Visiting from San Diego with my family we happened upon this great place. The Indian pakistan food, tasted authentic and home cooked, from the rice dishes to the chicken tikka masala, the sauce in this dish was excellent. We also loved the fried okra! The staff were very friendly, kind of like in the bygone days where you had a special place in the community to go and they treat you like your family. We will definitely be back.
Top quality restaurant with best food and customer service around Orange County. Food tasted so good, and staff/owner were very friendly. Everything tasted superb, not a single negative thing about mint restaurant. Keep up the good work, and you’ll always be on the top of our list when we visit Lake forest.
My mother and I went here for lunch and it is one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. We both got the lunch specials, which was $10.65 each and you got A TON of food (it wasnt on the menu but def ask for it). We also got two Samosas and all of the food was really fresh. Come to think of it, i dont think i have ever had such fresh Indian food. We loved the tandoori chicken the most. They have a huge dining room so it would be perfect for a party. Its a family owned business and the waitress, Khushboo (forgive my spelling) is adorable! she is so funny and provides the best service. This is definitely a hidden gem (or maybe its a well known gem idk i just moved here).

What can I say! this is some of the finest Indian good anywhere in South Orange county. typically prefer vegetarian when I eat indian food, because most places overcook the meat, but try any of the lamb dishes here and you will not be disappointed. curries are also delicious. its a must to keep coming back to to explore all of the menu
The restaurant is small with not much decor.Lunch buffet is $8.99/person and starts at 11am.I was there at 1pm, and some of the selections were out.The waiter said they will refill the food tray soon.I could hear the chef busy cooking in the kitchen.He brought out a few vegetable dishes to refill. No meat refill though.Their chicken tikka masala and curry chicken were delicious.I also like the okra a lot.Overall the food was good.But I didnt like the dark and depressing ambiance at the restaurant.

I have been here a couple of times all the times the food has been up to the mark !I Went again yesterday with my husband, we got malai kofta and roti !!the taste malai kofta was good but the gravy was not as creamy as it is supposed to be and also not spicy which is what we wanted, the kofta had less salt then needed which was fine if you had it with the gravy but if you ate just the kofta you could feel the difference!I would visit again !

Was looking for a more full service restaurant. It wasnt that but no big deal. The problem was that the food was below average. The chicken was tough and dry. The paneer was weird and kinda slimy. The rest was meh. The service wasnt awful, but close. I considered leaving no tip just for the grumpy demeanor but left a small one anyway for basic services. Well stick with our tried-n-true Indian place in RSM.

Probably the nicest service me and my family have ever received outside of Europe. Chicken masala was 10/10 and homemade. They had a new server that made a small mistake but they quickly fixed it and were incredibly apologetic. We will definitely be going back
Really delicious Indian food. Was staying nearby on business, and decided to go to Mint two nights in a row because it was so good and affordable. Quality meat, flavorful, and plentiful. Just wish it were closer to home.
Don’t be deceived by the modest appearance of this restaurant. At least as good if not better food than what you can get in the “big city” e.g., Washington DC or New York. The black lentils were superb, the rice perfect, and the breads an absolute joy.
Great place and service, one of the best indian restaraunts i have been to (chicago, dallas, Houston, NY). Goat biryani never dissappoints and the traditional karahi and dishes are all amazing. Looking for cheat meal or a place to take visiting guests this will not dissapoint. I hope they bring Nihari back.
Delicious food. Everything else was wrong.Upon entering we were immediately confused. There was no host or area for a host. We just walked into a massive room with cheap tables everywhere.From there, every stage of the service was slow. The plates were far too small (the naan alone was triple the plate size) Cheap paper napkin. Food needed salt. Bad lighting. Overall odd experience. Like a blanket that doesnt cover your feet. Its soft enough but you cant get warm.I suspect they are cutting corners in the cost department until they have more patrons. I may return to give then another chance if I hear they have stepped up their professionalism.Once lightly salted the chicken Korma was great.
The best Indian restaurant in Orange County, the chicken is so tender and the chicken biryani flavor is just perfect. Dont forget to order the chicken tikka masala. I believe this is the most authentic indian restaurant in OC. I am am a regular customer now from ordering from Door Dash to coming in person.
The best chicken karahi in the LA area. We ordered the medium spice level which was a touch hot. Naans are perfect and big enough and goes well with the karahi. Rest of the menu is alright.

A good place in the orange county region for desi food. There are not lots of food variety which is a good thing too as this helps to maintain the quality. They serve chicken Karahi in the actual karahi,tastes good.
Melt in your mouth Lamb Karhai, although a bit pricey. Was so good that even though I dont like lamb(lets face it, if its not done right then it could smell so bad, taste funky etc etc ). But yeah, this one was so good that Ive become a believer! If you dont eat much spice, def avoid the words Make it spicy! . Also, had the Chicken bBiryani. Requested them to add potatoes (aloo) to add a little oomph. Pretty good too! Was there on a Friday night at 8pm and didnt have to wait for a table.

We went for the dinner buffet during Ramzan. Food was good but it is expensive for the number of items they offer. Very bad service as they dint serve water. Ppl who are used to huge Asian buffets especially Chinese, Japanese and Indian will be disappointed with the number of items on the menu for the price.
Good food! We had the chicken Tika masala, spinach and another chicken dish (see photo). We order medium spicy, and it was what I call a good burn!Reasonable prices, free soda refills. No free WiFi though.
Excellent all around. My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner. Chicken Tika Marsala, Palek Paneer, Lentals with Naan and Yogurt. Friendly staff, the Bollywood videos and mellow vibe rounded out the experience. We will definitely be back.

Delicious food. I wanted a halal meal, having gone without meat and chicken for a few days. I got the chicken tikka masala. One downside is that when you order, you are only ordering the dish - no sides. Id like for them to have platters, but when you do order sides (rice, naan), you get generous portions.

This is some of the best Indo-Pak food anywhere. Skip the Indian standards and go for the amazing Mint Special dishes! That said, even the yellow dal is good enough to make a meal of, thick and savory. Ive lived in South Asia and eaten Indian food around the country and Mint is my favorite in OC. If you want the nice white table cloths and dont appreciate great food, move along.

The people running the restaurant are courteous and accommodative to your requests. They were upfront about their vegan options. The food is quite tasty and portions were sufficient for a good meal.

Came here to pick up an order that was ordered 20-30 prior to me getting there. Two people arrived after me and were assisted while I waited another 30 minutes for the order . The server kept walking past me (looking directly at me) and helped others without even informing me how long the order would take . Don’t recommend based on service .

2021-07-18 14:34:07Wow! Best Indian restaurant in LA/Orange county area. Unbeatable to be honest.GOAT Biriyani is cooked perfectly, goat falls off the bone.Chicken Karahi. Great presentation and spicy flavors to accompany the chicken as a highlight.Lamb Korma. I think my favorite dish here. Creamy base and the lamb as every other dish was cooked to perfection.Nothing bad about a single dish here.Yes it is out of the way and yes it is in a strip mall but this place needs to be a highlight of the city and should really be a center of attention.I will definitely be coming back here.

2019-09-18 05:48:24Great Indian/Pakistani Halal restaurant. Delicious to the last spoon 🥄. The Biryani is and the goat Karahi are Spicy 🌶and extra delicious. The butter chicken is less spicy and delicious. They have groups buffet section.

Every dish is fresh cook after the order. At first, I’m hesitant to believe it. I don’t want to get my hopes up and not like the food. But it’s so rare to see a person has such passion about food and what he does. I hope that energy will never leave him. Thank you, Yama!As soon as he brought us the wok with goat Karahi, and galic naan.I started to believe everything he said. The goat meat is so soft and juicy with tons of flavor. Dipping with the fresh garlic naan and a little bit raw onion, the aroma spreads in your month.We also order lamb Biryani medium spicy. The big chuck of lamb tastes so flavorful and juicy.We ordered the best combination dishes!! Yama stopped us from ordering appetizers so we could truly enjoy how good are the food taste.Everything is unbelievable!! We will be back!

2018-01-08 19:40:49The restaurant is easy to find from Google maps. Walking in the atmosphere is nothing special. Although we were met with a friendly smiling waiter that was attentive. The menu was easy to read and prices are reasonable. We ordered the Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, and Chicken Kaarahi. The flavors wre good but not the best we have tasted and the chicken pieces were not great... cartilage and bones were not removed properly. And $50 for the meal was too much to pay for the quality.

2021-08-24 21:23:31I ordered the basic chicken tikka masala with biryani rice and it was very delicious in a good portion size. A bit pricey but since the pandemic everything is more expensive.. I will return again.

2019-03-03 17:13:49Best Indian/Paki food in SoCal period. Love the Karahi, Biriyani and chicken tikka. Customer service is amazing. Yama and Saad have been my servers multiple times and they are pretty good. Will be coming back soon.
