Were vegetarian, so we like Indian food because of the variety of menu options available to us. We decided to try Mirchi for a change from our regular spot, and we were blown away! The service was great and the food was so flavorful.We ordered the vegetarian dinner for two, which comes with an order of 2 samosas, raitha, two vegetarian dinners and 2 desserts. We ordered a dal (lentil) and veggie soup for my 6-year-old son, which he fully slurped away.I ordered the veggie masala, which is the best masala Ive ever tasted. It was spicy, creamy and the tartness of the tomato base all came through equally. What a dish! I assume the the chicken and fish masala dishes would taste equally great.My wife ordered her go-to Indian dish: the mixed vegetable Korma. It was very good, indeed-spicy and creamy-but we both liked the masala a bit more.For dessert, we ordered the rice pudding (kheer) and the fried dough balls soaked in syrup (gulab jamun). Both were very good! We also promised my son an order of ice cream if he finished his soup, which he did, so we ordered mango iced cream for him. It was delicious!I highly recommend a visit to Mirchi for authentic and tasty Indian cuisine.

When Im in Agoura Hills I like to go to the one on Kanan road. Its nice to have an option when youre out in Newbury Park. Same great food as the other location and good service. Theyve been open for about 3 months now. I like the lunch special. Not a bad price and Im always really full when I leave good food.

Went with my son after a half day of school for lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Very good value lunch specials, good quality and delicious food. Service was attentive and kind. The Indian iced tea was an unexpected treat. I look forward to returning for dinner.

They have delicious Indian food!! Everything we ordered here was made vegan, so it had a coconut cream base. You just have to ask the server to make it vegan. The ambiance is really nice and the staff are very friendly. There is a parking lot and its wheelchair accessible. They also have lunch specials.

Awesome food, great service and hospitality, clean with cozy ambience. We ordered vegetarian curries (kofta and mixed veg) and it was delicious. The manger was kind enough to oblige us with kadai paneer as complimentary. Will definitely visit again.

Food was absolutely amazing. Best Indian food to date. Highly recommend. I was staying close for the weekend and decided to try. IM SO GLAD I DID....WOW .Food was so good i forgot to take pictures. My wife had the chicken and vegetable marsala curry and I and I had the coconut chicken and vegetable curry.

Being a fairly new restaurant to Newbury Park and Indian food I knew that I had to try this place and I was so excited to order from here for takeout. It is nestled in a strip mall so parking is super easy. I was greeted by a gentleman who was so genuine and kind he made me want to come back again and again. Honestly, I cant stop talking about how hospitable the employees are.While the restaurant was quiet, I had to remember it was not only new, it was also early. I was pleased to find the restaurant to be clean and cozy.We enjoyed the chicken korma and were happy to find that it consisted entirely of white meat The spice levels were perfectly balanced and met our expectations of not too spicy or not too bland (we ordered a medium spice). We ordered garlic naan (of course), rice, and some samosas.I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore Indian cuisine.

Outstanding dining experience from start to finish. Everything on the menu is fantastic. This time we had the Vegetable Samosas, Aloo Ghobi, and the Chicken Tikka Masala. All were amazing as was our super friendly Server, Munna.The Aloo Ghobi is a wonderful vegetarian dish with spicy/sweet cauliflower and potatoes.I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Have been here a few times and the chef is consistent. The lamb mirchi is my favorite. There is a pickled mango added that really elevates the dish and highlights all the other flavors. The service is attentive and the dining area is immaculate. I would recommend you eat here. And be sure to treat yourself with a chai!

Visited thrice only for the cashier justifying how they are not good at dishes I particularly ordered. Thus, had to try different dish each time and all of them were bad. Pretty disappointed. This cuisine is definitely not authentic.

We have been there twice now and both times were exceptional. Ordered totally different dishes each time, and I would order everything again. One visit was take out and the order was ready on time and packaged very well. The second time we ate in and it was a great experience. The staff was fantastic and the place was very clean. I would highly recommend.

Oh, brace yourself for a TASTELESS adventure at this so-called Indian restaurant. I still cant fathom how this place manages to cling onto any semblance of reputation. The only logical explanation is that the patrons must be as clueless as the cooks when it comes to authentic Indian cuisine. I suspect the glowing reviews are as genuine as a three-dollar bill, probably crafted by the staff themselves in a desperate attempt to mask their culinary incompetence.Lets talk about my first trauma-inducing encounter with their so-called chicken tikka biryani. If only I could un-taste that travesty. I wouldnt even call it a dish; its more like a sad attempt at assembling random ingredients in a pot. And dont even get me started on their audacious claim to different styles of biryani. I had a chat with their server, who seemed more lost than a tourist in a maze, and apparently, theyre not even capable of biryani 101. Yet, they proudly keep this disgrace on the menu, as if to remind everyone of their culinary mishaps.Considering the chefs blatant confession that theyre only proficient at tandoori items, I reluctantly gave their mixed tandoori platter a shot during my second visit. Raw would be an upgrade for the slabs of misery they dared to call food. The only seasoning these meats received was probably a spritz of air freshener for the faintest hint of aroma. As for the chewy meat, its almost like they raided a rubber factory for their ingredients. Oh, and lets not forget the artistic touches of food coloring that turned the platter into a psychedelic disaster.Now, brace yourself for their pièce de résistance – their audacious pricing. Its like they took lessons from Scrooge McDuck on how to squeeze every last penny out of unsuspecting customers. Honestly, the bill they hand you should come with a complimentary therapists contact information, because youre going to need it after realizing you paid a small fortune for a plate of despair.In conclusion, I wouldnt feed this so-called restaurant to my pet rock, even on its hungriest day. Save yourself the agony and spare your taste buds from this culinary catastrophe. Its a shame they cant serve humility and honesty on the menu – those would be the only things worth paying for in this establishment.

Great food and excellent service! Ordered for a party of 20 guests and Manu helped with the menu and amount of food needed and was spot on. We got chicken biryani, butter chicken, saag panner and samosas. The consensus was that it was all delicious! Will go here again for sure.

This place is awesome! Stopped in for a late lunch here this past weekend for the first time and had a great experience!Was greeted immediately as we walked in with a friendly welcome. Our server was very kind and extremely helpful throughout the entire meal! The food was soooooo delicious and fresh! The cook even came out to make sure everything was to our liking! The restaurant it self was extremely clean, including the restrooms. You can tell that the family who owns this place takes pride in their business! I thought of something weird - they give you free rice with your meal but when getting the receipt, they charge you for rice but discount it free because of their 1st day opening...Odd. Other than that, food was okay. Nothing to scream about. Flavor of the chicken curry was good, not overly spicy or salty. Naan bread was a little off with flavor compared to the other locally Indian restaurants Ive been too. I also dont enjoy being stared at when eating but thats just a personal thing. Overall 4/5. Id like to come back and try different things for sure though.

We had an amazing dining experience at Mirchi during our visit to California. The chicken tikka and lamb curry were phenomenal! Also, the cheesy naan and sweet naan were absolutely delicious. Lastly, the sweet rice pudding for dessert was to die for. We cannot wait for our next visit to California and Mirchi!

While it’s only just opened, Mirchi Indian Cuisine is already on my “go to” list for frequent dining. The owners and staff are incredibly nice and gracious. Their food is up there with the best in the region. Generous portions that are oh so delicious and fresh. Can’t wait to work my way through the rest of the menu.

In a “desert” of boring, flavorless, bland south Asian restaurants in this area, Mirchi is a a gift from heavens! Excellent service also from the young student Miraj who so professionally made our visit even more worthwhile…. We are coming back for more!

The service was friendly & courteous. I ordered Chicken Makhni with Garlic Naan. I wanted the chicken spicy and thats exactly what I got! The Naan, too, wad delicious! This is a cozy little place in Newbury Park that I plan to visit often.

I was so excited to try a new halal Indian restaurant but I am so disappointed. I ordered Chicken jalfrezi, Chilli chicken,Chicken tikka masala, Naan and Rice(one order each and paid almost $60).Chicken jalfrezi was was way too salty. Chilli chicken was overcooked, it was hard and charred. Thank god Chicken tikka masala was okay.
