Mirin Cafe in Escondido

Its a tiny little place with pretty good food. We got some sushi rolls and tempura and will definitely be back for more of that. The parking was a little weird in the back but I think that was mostly cause people drive weird. Inexpensive and tasty, just the way we like it. Only issues were - it smelled a little like grease in there and we were just maybe a tad too close to people sitting next to us. Will just get it to go next time. Problem solved.

First of all, it’s not expensive at all. I am in love with Asian food and have tried tons of Asian cuisine restaurants. Japanese is my favorite but I always think twice before going to a Japanese restaurant due to its expensiveness. One $ rate is rare for Japanese food and I was doubtful about its quality. But I was totally convinced since I first entered the door, the restaurant looked so clean, simple and modern designs with very impressive service and the food is definitely delicious and the price is very reasonable.

Great music, great people all around, great atmosphere. Not a single person in sight without a smile. The staff truly make this place somewhere to remember, and I will always come back. Thank you Sandra for your incredible service, energy, and spontaneous personality. The food is so comfy and reminds me of home. It just sinks in your belly and you leave feeling not only happy but at peace.

This was my first time placing an order online. Good thing I opted for leaving a tip.My order said that it was going to be ready in 30 min and it had my phone number and the page said it will notify for updates about the oreder.I went 10 before my order was going to be ready at. I pulled through the drive tru and there was 2 cars in front of me. The one in front of me had his car turned off which I called to confirm they were using the drive tru. They said yes so I waited 10 min on the drive tru.As I pulled to the window. You see all this man preparing with no gloves what so ever. Mind you I work at a restaurang where everone that handle foods have gloves at all time.The person to ask me for my name order was bad. He asked my name and then went to the counter to help another cutomer. Mind you I was there and why would he help if he was gonna keep me waiting. Took him another 5 minutes to finally give me my order. He handed me a tiny bag with a small bowl. I was shocked at the little amount the serve for the price they charge. I then touch the broth and it was lukewarm. I told him why is not hot. He then gets someone else thats rude and says that is being sitting there for a while. I was in disbelief. I did mention to him what his webapage said and that I didnt get no notification that it was ready.He rudely said that they dont do that and that they can warm it up for me. I am never coming back to this place. Worst service ever and take long and just ignore you

Waiter was super nice and the workers greeted us with smiles. The food was great and super warm. The inside is super cute and clean, they also play good music. I would go again and I highly recommend!!!

The food was super delicious. Got the chicken katsu with garlic noodles, super yummy. The staff was really friendly, and the music was in good taste. It really reminded me of when I lived out in Japan, and let me think back on it again! Ill definitely try to come back!

They have drastically improved 180° from the last time I was here ! They were never bad to begin with but WOW. Crazy difference in sizes of sushi & everything! I definitely recommend the soft shell crab roll it was out of this world! And their eel sauce has definitely improved too. Its a much better flavor than the darker one & now they give much bigger rolls & thicker cuts of fish & the entire crab for each roll!! Last few times I got this same roll the soft shell crab was scarce. Ill definitely be returning soon 😊 also a random sidenote they have the best water ever? Like Starbucks grade lol

Great vegetarian and vegan ramen. Wonderful customer service! The staff is super friendly and were able to accommodate my husband’s egg allergy with no questions asked. Overall great vibe amongst customers who were obviously regulars which seemed like a great sign to us. We’ll definitely be back 🙂

Services sucks ! The girls there have no life in them … always mad looking when serving you… today my husband had a fly in his Raman and they didn’t even say sorry just gaved him a new one!
