Mitchs on El Paseo Prime Seafood in Palm Desert

Not bad, but I can not say the bone in ribeye was great. Sweet BBQ sauce on a ribeye just doesnt cut it for a nice steak restaurant.My wife said the sea bass was amazing, hence the 4 stars (instead of 3 which was my original rating plan)

My wife and I took our two friends to Mitchs on El Paseo for a special dinner. We were all very impressed with the food and the service. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor patio, and we were seated in a comfortable table. The menu has a wide variety of seafood dishes, and we all found something to our liking. We ordered the lobster bisque, the grilled salmon, the seared scallops, and the lobster tail. The food was all delicious, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time at Mitchs on El Paseo, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience.Here are some of the things we liked about the restaurant:* The food was delicious. Love Mitchs. The best food and drinks. The scallops were so soft and tasty. The best chocolate martini that I have had in a very long time. The outside dining was so lovely. I highly recommend going if you are in Palm Springs/Dessert.

Tonight, we dined at Mitchs on the El Paseo and Portola in Palm Desert. The place was packed! Outdoors we noticed a great beautiful white bougainvillea, which arent that common. Weve been many times here. There were five of us dining tonight, sitting outdoors in the evening. A bitter wind came up, and we all got chilly. But then they turned on these beautiful heaters. And we suddenly noticed that all the booths were lighted up and had been recovered in a new delightful, fresh print. Our waitress, Mallory, who weve had many times before, was her usual cheery self. Small complaint, despite specifically asking them to time the courses, they came on top of each other, and we did feel rushed. Our host bought a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio (See pic), which was excellent. It wasnt Silver Oak excellent, but very nice. For starters, the other guests split Caesar salads, our host had his favorite soup, French Onion. He noted they put chives in which is abnormal, but he thought tasted ok. I had the Caprese Salad, which was beautifully presented with Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata cheese. The burratta was not as smooth as in past but still yummy. For entrees, the host ordered the duck and thought it was delicious; his date had an enormous pork chop (See pic), which was served with potatoes and green beans. She said it was on the borderline of being too well cooked, but was ok. The other two guests both had the filet mignon, which I double-checked was cooked a true Medium Rare. I had two orders of sushi, California roll 6 piece, and Crunchy Tempura (also known as a Carburator Roll) 12 piece. Couldnt eat the CA rolls and took those home (too full). We declined dessert & coffee but I took pix of the menu. Enjoy!

All the dishes we ordered were excellent. The sushi rolls full of flavor, the scallops were perfect, the sole melted in the mouth. I wish this place was closer to home!

Every single thing about my special birthday dinner at Mitchs on El Paseo was top-notch! My parents out of state sent flowers for the table and their experience in working with the folks at Mitchs was as enjoyable and smooth as our dinner was!Emily was our server and there simply are not enough words to describe how her fantastic attention to detail made our dining experience the best weve had in years! She was attentive but not hovering, she knew the menu and wines well and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the gluten free options I needed for my food allergy. Her help in choosing a wine was so fun and easygoing while being very informed.The food was amazing! Every one of us loved our meals. We came early and lingered and were never pressured to leave to turn over the table.I had read so many reviews at different restaurants and there seemed to be so much inconsistency. It is very apparent that the leadership at Mitchs takes the time to not only train staff well but to treat them well. Well be back and definitely telling friends in the Valley (and visitors from other states) about this gem!Thanks Mitchs for a fabulous birthday dinner experience on your gorgeous patio! :)

Probably the best restaurant Ive been to, the service was great and the food was even better. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and my wifes Alfredo was exceptional. Will be visiting again. Be prepared to open your wallet, but its well worth it.

Been here a few times specials are always nice. Beef short rib 😋

Great tasting sushi, service was great, so is the rest of the food.Will be back to try more food, they have a good menu imo
