We ordered a bunch of different sets and they are pretty good in general. The appetizers were not what we expected but they weren’t so wrong either. Will come again!鮭魚茶泡飯 - surprising delicious!鯖魚一夜乾 - good as it should be.鮭魚湯泡飯 - great comfort food dish!豬排烘蛋 - wish it had more sauce but I do like it.唐揚雞 - the flour coat was thinner than expected, but the marinaded chicken was delicious.唐揚豆腐 - the flour coat is the chewy type. I personally prefer the crunchy type but both are authentic.

I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the overall ambiance and the delicious food they offer.To start, we ordered the tempura veggies appetizer, and it was simply fantastic. The vegetables were perfectly crispy and flavorful, making for a delightful start to the meal. As a lover of fresh oysters, I couldnt resist trying them here, and I was blown away by how yummy they were! They were incredibly fresh and truly a highlight of the afternoon.Moving on to the main course, I opted for the chirashi and BBQ Rolls. Both dishes were packed with flavor and left me wanting more. The chirashi was a delightful assortment of fresh fish and sushi rice, beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. Ordered the Big Smile roll and the salmon Maki on Uber eats. Overall rolls were good. Fish quality was good, not too much rice, and the rolls were rolled neatly. Order came with ginger, wasabi and soy sauce. However, they did forget my chopsticks and since this is a delivery order, they should be providing the utensils. Prices were normal for a sushi restaurant in this area. Selfishly, I do wish they were more salmon rolls on the menu.Overall, solid sushi, they have a huge menu with lots of variety: sushi, noodles, bento box etc — would come again in person and would order delivery again with them!

My autistic son loved his teriyaki chicken, but he needed more rice cuz one cup isnt enough. On the other hand, my wife ordered the Chirashi and which came with three times more rice than my sons dish. For me, I ordered the salmon miso which was salty to me but still edible. In addition to salad and miso soup, our dishes came with tofu and pickled ginger & cucumber. Just a lot of parking in the plaza but the restaurant seating capacity is small, probably around 30 guests.

I was disaapointed with their nigiri deluxe today that i ordered to go for late night sushi craving. The rice wasnt fully cooked for all the nigiris...this is my goto sushi restaurant and im pretty disappointedThis is the best bang for the buck sushi restaurant in south san jose! I feel lucky to live right next to this restaurant. i always get my favorite chirashi deluxe to go and it always taste so delish!

Been here multiple times and so far all our visits have been great! LOVE the jazz ambient music and the food! We always get fresh oysters and nigiri deluxe. Love the service as well. Its a pretty small restaurant but customer turnover is pretty quick. Longest we’ve waited for a table on a weekend is 15minutes. Quiet location and is easy to park since its in a plaza with other business places as well. Definitely recommended!

I’ve been coming here for a couple years and I’ve always had a great experience! The sushi is amazing and it always tastes super fresh. I was here on Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend and we made a request for one roll to be made different and they completely changed the whole order. Aside from this experience every other one has been great! I really enjoy this restaurant and despite the one poor experience I will continue to come and just hope it doesn’t happen again! I always order a ton of rolls when coming here and they’re always fresh and full of flavor!

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE, Zero stars, ashes!I paid $105 (including delivery fees) for Unagi Don, Teriyaki Beef and sushi. This restaurant should be PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN for POOR QUALITY FOOD. The two entrees costed $28 - $32 each, and both the eel AND the beef were tough and tasted like they had been left sitting for days under poor refrigeration conditions.And dont get me started with the SUSHIII (picture attached)! This was the WORST, rubberiest sushi Ive ever tasted in my adult life. Look at the rice!!! Can you call yourself a Japanese restaurant using this fluffy, WATERY, overcooked rice?! I was so embarrassed and saddened when my order arrived. After one bite of the teriyaki beef, my mother-in-law made a facial expression of impending doom as if the life had been sucked out of her... NOT OK. You can find better sushi at a hospital.I called the restaurant to voice my dissatisfaction because the food was, indeed, roadkill. I was met with a sheepish Im so sorry with no offer of a partial refund because this restaurant is not capable providing even mediocre Japanese food. A new low. I am still in shock, and I want a refund... this is crazy. You could have just used this for composting or fertilizer, not for selling to the public.

My new go-to Japanese restaurant in the South Bay! From what I could tell, the chef seemed to be Japanese and the food was more or less authentic. I enjoyed my set lunch with sashimi and tempura. The sashimi was some of the best Ive had in the Bay Area outside of SF (perhaps SF has comparable places). The tempura was also good, but fairly typical American vegetables (I will always find broccoli tempura weird).The restaurant was relatively quiet for lunch, and I found the service to be good for the most part. Near the end, we were waiting quite a bit for someone to pick up our check. For the food you get, it was a bit on the pricier side, but not sure if thats also some combination of Japanese food being trendy, local market pricing, and inflation.

Most my reviews are 5s or 1s. The sashimi freshness and size was awesome. So I give the food a 5. The whole restaurant would have received the same score if I was not eating along. Since I was alone, I noticed a few tweaks that need some help.Service. 3. A bit robotic. Little interaction. Maybe say hello, smile, make eye contact or ask if I need anything half way through the meal. If not. Get a droid.interior design. Atmosphere. 4. Nice new and clean. The killer was the music.Music. 1. Same 4 minute song played in a loop. Song repeat torture loop needs to change.Bathroom. 2. Cleanish but old.The most important element is the food. 5. This is not commentary about the food, instead a notice that if you order via Hungry Panda that the restaurant will not honor the order (so choose a different option!). And, unfortunately they waited 30+ minutes - until we had driven all the way there - to cancel the order as we walked into the restaurant. This mandate comes from the restaurant manager and shows very little regard for their prospective customers who order for pickup. Should be a simple fix to prevent this from happening in the future.

Food was excellent. Great quality and nice portions. My only complaint was the service. The host was missing for a chunk of our time there. Getting the stuff we wanted was a bit slow. We went there as they opened, it wasnt busy at all. We ordered their most expensive bottle of sake and they gave us a ice bucket with large chunks of ice we couldnt break. The sake bottle stuck out and it was on the verge of tipping over. we made it work. If this is resolved, Id be happy to visit again.

Don’t order the Teishoku (exactly like a Bento box) here as it is extremely and unnecessarily overpriced! The average Bento box price in Japanese restaurants around this area is about $14.50 for lunch on weekends. Our 2 item Teishoku/Bento at this Miyakko restaurant was $22.00 before tax ! The food tasted good but definitely not worth the price. The rolls are about the same average price as the other Japanese restaurants in this area.

Went to this place a three time since COVID and every time food quality and freshness is a consistent disappointment. My last order here had Cherry Blossom roll and tuna on that roll had dry crust... definitely issues with freshness and not an isolated thing based on my experience.

All the reviews seem to say its good, but I wonder how many were sit-down versus take-out orders? The food we got after being largely ignored for about an hour at our table, was not worth the wait or price. Luckily for all of us, they never bothered to ask us how our food was. Because I would have been brutally honest to a restaurant tor once. I guess I should be somewhat happy for them, in that they survived the pandemic and stayed afloat by prioritizing their take-out orders. Good luck with your returning customers, but we were disappointed and wont be returning.

Staff was very friendly. Food was great, especially the Katsu. It was the best katsu I had in my life so far. This was crispy, but soft enough where my gums didn’t hurt. The taste was amazing. The portions were also bigger than what I had imagined. The fish tasted like charbroiled, which I loved. The beef tasted like fresh killed meat, not store bought. The only downside is the water taste and smells like fish. I had to order lemonade instead. We’ll worth the price.

A friend that lives near this place highly recommended it as I was only briefly in town and really wanted some good sashimi. I was there at 3pm on a Sunday (dine in) and was wondering why it was taking so long for my order. Then I noticed take out after take out was being picked up at the front. When I got my plate of chefs choice sashimi I realized why they are so popular. Really delicious, fresh sashimi served at the right temperature (you would be surprised how many places get this wrong) and a great variety. I did make one special request for tako to be included as a chefs option if possible and they included it on the plate (it was really delicious!). Be patient! It is so worth it! Would absolutely eat here again!

I REALLY wanted to be able to rate this a 5 star, as the employees are very friendly, and the restaurant is close to home. The ebi I ordered was very fresh, and tasted great. The rice was fresh as well.. However, I decided to spring for real crab instead of imitation, and heres where the stars drop off. The crab was real, and I know that because it was filled with pieces of shell. One of the pieces of shell got stuck between my tooth and gums, causing my gums to bleed. It also did not taste fresh like the ebi did. So unfortunately, I ended up having to throw the rest of the roll out (only 2 pieces in...both pieces had shells).Again, the staff was great, super friendly and very accommodating. Id like to think that maybe this was an off night, but with shells in the roll, it was inedible. Pretty disappointed 😞

I’ve been going to this place for years, and the service has always been terrible but the food is not so bad and it’s close to my house so I compromise. However, the service has gotten worse, you have to wait for a long time to eat after you’ve been seated, and they can’t even get the order right. Today I was literally sent to an arepa place nearby by the waiter because he forgot part of the order and told us he coudn’t do anything because the kitchen had closed. Someone in our table was literally left without food, and then he sent us to an arepa place. I’m not planning on going there ever again.

Well I came to test this restaurant and didn’t get results. For starter it took 40 minutes for food to be ready. It wasn’t even crowded. When the food came, there were multiple problems. The beef teriyaki not only was cold, but was poorly prepared. There was TONS of fat still on the beef strips. The sushi felt like plastic. The soy sauce was a cheap brand. It is in the common bottle that you refill. But rather than refilling with the same brand, it was refilled with a cheaper brand. I know this because it literally had NO flavor. Same with the wasabi; it had very little flavor. I wouldn’t recommend going there. It was pretty poor in quality. Even the seats sucked. The back of the seat that you lean tour back against is shared with the person behind you. That back piece is so weakly supported that you are constantly being pushed forward by the person sitting behind you. This restaurant has got to get its act together.

Premium Japanese food with in a traditional- modern setting, hidden in a shopping center. Service is excellent and food was very good. Sashimi, need, chicken katsu, beef udon, and two sushi rolls added to under $70 for a party of four. I’ve made my way around many Japanese restaurants in the Southbay and this is one of the better ones.

I dont think Ive had fresher sushi elsewhere. Incredibly friendly service, timely meals, clean and warm ambience, and not to mention food I havent been able to eat anywhere else. If youre in the greater San Jose area but feel like SF is too expensive and far to go eat authentic Japanese, I would strongly advise trying this place out at least once. Believe me.

The restaurant is small and cozy but felt really comfortable. We had a great server who was attentive and helpful. We got the chicken cutlet, beef teriyaki,chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura, and the Azuma deluxe which came on this large wooden boat. The dinners were cooked to perfection, nothing dry or tough. The tempura shrimp had 2 large chunks each of sweet potato, onion rings, shrimp, broccoli and zucchini with this lighter than air coating. The boat had assorted sush, sashimi and night all so great, flavorful large pieces of fish and shrimp.considering how much food was served the pricing was reasonable. Its now one of our favorite places for sushi.

I dont know if the K was added to the name of this shop or if it has some other meaning. However, I can feel that the store is really trying hard to create a Japanese atmosphere. The ingredients are almost the same as those you buy at the supermarket, but if youre a housewife, you might be able to create a similar experience. The tableware and decorations were really thoughtful and lovely, but I was disappointed that the egg wash was too hard and the fox had been cut into pieces.

Miso soup is delicious. Makes me want to drink as many cups as I want. There is no doubt that it is highly praised by Japanese people.The waitress, young, and the waiter, akasu, are warm and nice people.
