2023-11-05 21:49:03Beef briskets noodles has no flavor, too watered down on the broth! The Beef roll is dry, very light on sauce, almost no flavor. The cucumber salad had the same problem. It seemed like water was not drained from the cucumbers so they didn’t absorb any of the garlic and sauce flavor. Instead the water from the cucumbers watered down the sauce. Across the board disappointed having wasted a meal here.I always find it a bit curious when the staff doesn’t want to ask you how the meal was.Bathroom is dirty. The walkway to the bathroom also dirty and oily.

2022-04-13 20:04:29The lunch I had here was one of the best among recent lunches. I try out new restaurants as I work from home and wanna get some fresh air + nice food during lunch. This place was found to be right in front of my home so I tried it out for the first time. The server is really nice. I just showed her foods I want to order and she taught me what is what. Also, when I told her pan fried Xiao long BAO is amazing, she recommended other menues to try in the future. She is very friendly and supportive.Yeah, that pan fried Xiao long BAO is DELICIOUS. I had it for the first time in my life. When I sat at the table, I had no expectation. When I had the first bite of that Xiao long BAO, I was actually surprised at the taste, esp at how delicious it is lol. So I talked to myself its so good its so good hahaha.I only had steamed xiaolongbao in my life. And this pan fried one has a crusty side. The color difference between the top of the bun and the middle is because of the crust. And this crust is what adds so much value to this xiaolongbao.I ordered a lot for my dinner, too. I didnt try the cold beef that I ordered at all and took it home. The noodle is good, too! I forgot the noodles menu name already .. but you can show one of the pictures on my review to the server. Then, I ordered a hot green tea. How nice it was! They brought the whole kettle. As a result the tea remained hot.The interior is also really nice and modern. I saw many people takeout as I dine inside the restaurant. But this place is a great place to have a gathering or dine in!I heartily recommend this place. 5 stars!(The plates are cute, too).

2022-05-16 03:26:45Nice addition to P town. XLB is juicy. Pot stickers are crunchy. Pan fried pork bao is a bit greasy. Food is a bit pricey, I guess inflation is unavoidable. Great to have another dumpling choice. Located at Shopping center. Plenty it parking spaces.

2021-12-23 08:00:25Tina (owner) is by far one of the most accommodating individuals. Everything is so fresh, its like youre personal chef cooking to your specifications. She welcomes you into her restaurant as though she was welcoming you into her home. Great food, intimate atmosphere, and great conversation with Tina! Every time we visit Yat Sing, we order her chicken, shrimp with veggie soup, extra spicy! And her foil wrapped chicken is a great appetizer (she wont share the recipe, Ive asked!). Her egg rolls have the perfect balance of crunch and flavor. And her curry chicken cant be beat! She can make the spice level to your liking and then gives you a side of chili that is a great addition if its not spicy enough. We are regulars and always look forward to our next visit!Update 7/24/21: Tina advised shell be closing her doors at the end of 2021 (Dec). Very sad news for us but Im very excited for her. While shes worked very hard for the past 30 years doing what she loves, Im excited for her next chapter, whatever that may be. Very sweet woman whom truly cared about each of her customers and their experiences enjoying her food.Update Dec 2021: Yat Sing will remain open in 2022! A new owner will continue running the restaurant so Tina can retire. So glad to hear!

2022-06-10 02:13:25First time I ordered from this restaurant because I wanted dumplings and they have a large selection.I gave three stars because two things were not good.1. I asked for a 6:30 prep and pickup. My girlfriend got there at 6:20 and the food was ready. It was very cold.2. The Fried Rice is anything but Fried Rice. It seemed steamed, not good. The dumplings were delicious when I heated them and the special bean noodle was excellent. Will most likely go back but not for the Fried Rice, check out pictures.

2022-04-18 20:11:31Finally, an authentic Chinese restaurant in Pleasanton that brings back memories of the flavors that I experienced from my mothers cooking when I was a kid. The Pork Xiao Long Bao was made with a thin, delicate skin with a tasty broth that fills your mouth on your first bite; The Pan Fried Pork Bao were a nice surprise; The Shiitake Mushroom and Chicken Dumpling reminded me of my mothers dumplings; The noodles from the Braised Beef Brisket Noodle were cooked just right (nice and chewy) and the beef brisket was tender with just the right amount of gristle; and Finally, the Taiwan Popcorn Chicken also reminded me of a treat that my mother used to make.
