A really cool place. Dumpling made fresh for you right in front of you. They are really good. The wait staff is really friendly and know there stuff. My out of town peeps really need to try this place. One drawback, they charge for tea. My fatherinlaw hates that and my wife mentioned it even. However you have more choices of tea, and they still keep the pot hot and coming. I did not care for the red tea, next time Ill stick with more traditional oolong.

This place was absolutely lovely in the atmosphere & service. The XLB is amazing with actually a very decent amount of soup in each bite. I will definitely come here again just for them! Everything else was just okay, but the delayXLB for sure us the best.

Saw this on Yelp and wanted to give it a try. Food looks good. Ordered house chow mein, house xlb, house pan fried xlb, popcorn chicken, chicken and mushroom dumplings, and beef roll. My mom and sister thought the food was to salty. I thought it was ok. Popcorn chicken was the only thing that I thought was to salty. The pan fried xlb took forever we finished all our food then still waited about 10 mins before that came out. Pan fried xlb actually still had soup inside not like other places Ive been too. Skin for the xlb isnt to thin and didnt rip so soup would spill out. Overall I thought food was ok, might be salty if your sensitive to salt.

One of the best pan fried dumplings I’ve ever had. The skin is very thin and the dumplings are fried on both sides. The other dishes were delicious also. Highly recommend.

Weve come here before and dont recall the prices being that high. The XLB we had last time was really good, thin skin and flavorful soup/meat. We didnt order it this time. The pan fried buns are our personal fav because it is also soupy inside. The string beans is our second fav. The fried tofu is lacking in flavor compared to the other dishes. The pigs ear appetizer was good but definitely on the oily side. We ordered four items and the total came to ~$70 including tips. A little expensive but decent food!

Great XLB and pan fried dumplings. In particular, the pan fried dumplings were excellent, which says something because I am normally partial to the XLB. I am VERY into dumplings and these are some of the best I’ve had in some time. All made in-house in front of your eyes. Service was no frills but attentive. Probably 20% pricier than I expected but it’s hard to make it in the city these days and the quality is very high in my opinion

Definitely feel the mom and pop fam small biz vibes immediately, so cute. Chef knows what he’s doing with a wok, the fried rice was so good! Crab XLBs and the pan fried pork baos were bomb. Cucumber salad was a big standout - perfectly seasoned and fresh and crisp!Super reasonable prices, we just got a ton of food cuz we’re fatasses so we probably spent more than the average per person.

XLB are big and juicily filled with soup. Better than some other bay area dumpling/noodle spots. Parking is plentiful and free also. Would probably skip the Dan Dan noodles but recommend the beef noodle soup.

You MUST HAVE the pan fried pork bao!!! It’s much rarer to find authentic 生煎包 in the US than xiao long bao thus less famous. But try it and you won’t regret!!! They taste even better than those I’ve had in famous places in Shanghai and Suzhou China!!! Everything at this place is delicious - love their steamed vegetable dumplings and crab meat xiao long bao too. We’ve done dine-in, takeout, delivery multiple times when we stayed at SF over the summer. Will definitely come back next time we’re in town.

Yummy food. I got the Curry Chicken, Shrimp Rice, and Shrimp dumplings. They give me large shrimps in the rice and dumplings. The rice was not super oily which was a nice change from other restaurants I have been to. I will definitely be going back. I did a pick up togo order.

I would give them a 3.5 if i could because its nothing too life changing but still good and is your typical szechuan food.the employees are very sweet and kind. i do appreciate them being so friendly and food came out in a timely manner! unfortunately due to the location, it can be really cold and windy and the door just lets in the huge gust but they do provide hot tea so thank you :)my favorites are the pan fried bao and braised beef noodle soup. perfect combo, which is hot soup and crispyness to the gods. though, theyre not so unique in terms of taste, they hit the spot with xiao long bao coming in as the runner up.the one that gets a no from me is number 45, szechuan chicken as an appetizer. it was served cold which is fine but its bland with chili oil with very dry white chicken. different strokes for different folks, it doesnt hit the spot so maybe youll like it?id come back again since i live so close but make sure to bundle up cus its cold inside and outside ;)

Love this new Asian cuisine… we needed it. I got the House fried rice and Thai tea. I was satisfied and was able to eat half for lunch and half for dinner.

Stopped by just for the pan fried dumplings (shen jian bao), and they were fantastic! They had appropriately thin skins with great chew and a generous amount of soup in each. The fried ends were also nicely crispy. SJB are so difficult to get right, but Mom Dumpling did it really well. The only SJB better than here is at Xiao Chi Jie in Seattle.

Amazing! Excellent Food! We wanted to taste foods from multiple categories, so we ordered 5 or 6 dishes. All foods were beautifully presented and out-of-this-world in terms of taste! We particularly loved the Pan Fried Pork Bao, the Crispy Vegetable Spring Roll, and the Shrimp Fried Rice. The staff was friendly and the food arrived quickly. I can hardly wait to visit and eat at Moms Dumpling once again! Next time, Ill remember to take photographs!

Food here is decent but prices are pretty high. Considering Ding Tai Fung as the gold standard or xiu lung baos, moms is not close to this. Decent but nothing to write home about. Tan tan mein is delicious and I can say is one of their best dishes. Service is not all that great but you order via phone and QR code. Overall decent food but prices are a bit on the higher side.

It was my first time coming to this place to try their dumplings. I ordered the classic dumplings. The dumpling skin was thin enough that it wouldnt break easily when being picked up by chopsticks. I really like their noodle. I had the spicy beef stew noodle. They put more noodle than I anticipated. The services were decent. I will come back to try something different.

Delicious! Everything we had was fresh and fabulous. The soup dumplings may have been the best Ive ever had. Superior to Din Tai Fung in my opinion, more flavorful, less fatty. Will definitely go back.

Its a small plate serving and very expensive dumpling restaurant. The price they charge does not come near to the quality of they food they serve . First we ordered, Shrimp XLB which I think is their best dish in the menu . The broth and meat has a good flavor combination. The shrimp dumpling taste flat and dough is still hard to the bite which I think still needs for more steaming time since it’s frozen.Then we ordered the Braised Beef Brisket Noodle Soup serve in a small bowl which has a good broth and fresh noodles. But the brisket is still very tough to the bite and needs a considerable amount of jaw power to chew on it. The pork bao is a dumpling put inside the steam bun. So if your order an XLB, dumpling, and pork bun will have similar taste since they are of the same filling wrap in a different packaging.There are lots of good value dumpling places in the city, and this one still needs a lot of room for growth.

I dont rave about a restaurant unless it is absolutely delicious!This is that time. Glad we found this gem in the Park Merced area.We had the XLB, spicey XLB, spicey won tons in peanut chili oil, won ton soup, fried won tons. Their XLB skin is just right in regards to consistency and the soup hit the umami taste buds just right. My only regret is not getting two orders of each.The spicey won tons in peanut chili oil wasnt over done and the heat from the chili oil was laid back and just right for my palette today.I know won ton soup isnt something you usually get, but its definite comfort food and they make a tasty one.The Fried won tons were better than most Ive ordered and it had the right crunchiness and texture.Well be eating here more and will definitely try to taste more of their menu.Note: Be kind and patient in regards to service ALWAYS! Enjoy your time spending time with your friends or family at the restaurant and the server will be there with a smile and the food will be worth the wait.

Came here with reservations at 6:30pm on a Tuesday with 3 other friends. Walked in and realized we probably didn’t need a reservation but safer in the bay to always have a reservation. We ordered a ton of food to try:- cucumber salad: always refreshing & satisfying- pigs ears: crunchy and tasty, but the kick of spice may have been too powerful for me- numb & spicy beef dry noodle: surpassingly I can handle this more then the pigs ear, but the noodles were bland and the meat was very dry. I wouldn’t order this again.- green beans: one of my favorite dishes of the night. So crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Very tasty.- crab & pork XLB: solid. Soup was flavorful inside the bao and the meat had great taste too.- crispy tofu with pepper salt: I’m a huge fan of the round tofu and the flavor on them were delicious with a hint of spice from peppers. Highly recommend :)- braised beef brisket pot: my least favorite. It was too salty for my taste.- pan fried pork baos: yum! These had soup inside too, but the bottom layered was too fried where I could taste all the oil absorbed into it. The inside was good though.- pork XLB: solid, recommend to order.- numb & spicy XLB: can’t really taste the sauce they drizzled on top, which is probably the same for the numb & spicy noodles above. It was still good because the XLB are solid here, but didn’t taste any spice.- glutinous rice dumpling with osmanthus & rice wine: very yummy! each glutinous rice dumpling has its own flavor. Yellow was peanut butter, pink was strawberry, and white was black sesame. Really liked this dish too.- walnut bao: we were gifted this dish from the kitchen (so nice of them) and it was delicious. There’s a walnut in there and the flavor inside was tasty. Definitely worth trying!Overall, solid spot. Friendly service. Will be back :)

Worst experience here. the pictures are so deceiving food had no taste. the cashier dude was super rude and acted all surprised when we asked for sides. then we asked to cancel the order and re do it and he said “you want me to cancel the order i just put it in” had all this attitude for nothing and they just kept staring at us eating like….

The XLB is spot on and very authentic - juicy and very tasteful. The yolk bao is also quite amazing - you can taste the real yolk with a great balance of sweetness!
