Moms Pho & Grill in San Diego

I recently had a delicious meal at Moms Pho & Grill and wanted to share my positive experience. To start, I tried the shrimp spring rolls which were perfectly crispy on the outside while still being fresh and flavorful on the inside. The egg rolls were equally as good with a savory filling that paired nicely with the crunchy wrapper.For my entree, I went with the sauteed rice noodles with beef which had tender slices of beef and veggies mixed in with the rice noodles. Everything was cooked to perfection with the noodles having just the right amount of chewiness. To top it all off, I also got their deluxe pho special which was amazing. The broth was incredibly flavorful with hints of star anise and cinnamon and the wide rice noodles were cooked perfectly. It came loaded with slices of beef and an assortment of herbs and veggies that complemented the broth wonderfully.Overall, everything I tried at Moms Pho & Grill was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. From the appetizers to the entrees, you simply cant go wrong with anything on their menu. I highly recommend this Vietnamese restaurant and cant wait to go back again soon to try even more of their mouthwatering dishes!

Great family-run Vietnamese joint in a strip mall setting. Immediate service, hostess/waitress even asked our seating preference, informed us one area of the restaurant near door/windows might be chilly.Menu was clear with good explanations of items. I also like how they categorized and numbered their items. Pho bowls were P1-10, Vermicelli was V1-8 etc. So you just ordered V3 or R2 from their menu. Very convenient and plenty of options.Food was extremely good, fresh flavors throughout and crisp. 7PM and the bean sprouts were still juicy and crisp, not shriveled like Ive received before. Egg rolls were light and flaky, not grease soaked like some can be. Sliced beef and shrimp I ordered was perfectly proportioned with the noodles and veggies in the bowl.My coworker ordered Pho and loved it. Fresh sliced jalapenos, basil and beans sprouts on the side really allowed him to get the flavor/spice he preferred. Pho comes in regular and large size, and he had some broth left from his large bowl, even though he was really hungry for our late dinner.Will be back. Excellent experience.

One happy camper here after having the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever eaten, let’s start with the salt and pepper wings.These delectable babies put Buffalo Wild Wings to shame! With a nice blend of chives, onions and fresh garlic covering the crispiest of batter and a few sprinkles of something sweet you’ll experience a unique crunchy bite that will leave your mouth watering for more.The pho broth is the cleanest, clearest, yet richest and most aromatic broth I’ve ever experienced. It is both sweet and has a tiny bit of bite to it too. The meat quality is better than most viet places, the rice noodles are a teency bit wider than I’m used to but I actually really enjoyed that.This is a family owned establishment, they’re all super sweet, fun and genuinely want you to enjoy and experience everything they have to offer.Their chef, Tam, is both an award winning Vietnamese genius, and also aims to please all his customers - he took the time to come out, meet me and recommend a few of his most popular dishes and his personal favorites.Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of this menu, what a special hidden gem!

Our new favorite Vietnamese eatery in the area! Parking was easy. Simple interior . Great menu selection. The regular size is a decent portion. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls, Sautéd combination Stir fry, egg rolls w Grilled shrimp Vermicelli and Beef rib Pho. The flavors were spot-on for all 4 dishes, Pho was just simply the best, Full of depth and flavoursome. Its so good you could easily have another bowl. Super friendly staff with attentive service. Fairly new Vietnamese restaurant located in quiet neighborhood of Tierrasanta. I’ve dinned in couple of times before making this review. Pho is hearty and flavorful. The broth is on the sweeter side, southern style. One of the better Pho place in San Diego today. Spring rolls are great. They have Happy Hour which is a pretty good deal. Service is hit or miss but overall restaurant experience is very good. Of course, dinning in is better for hot food, especially Pho noodle. Keep up the good work!4.2/5 ⭐️

Pretty disappointed tonight. I ordered the 4 meatballs. I came home to find just one meatball cut into 4 pieces. Ive never seen a restaurant do this. On top of that, the meat all was bland and inedible. No seasoning or salt. Just boiled meat.

Everything Ive had here has been delicious! The Pho is great, but my new favorite entree is the Shaken Beef with Garlic Noodles! The spring rolls and egg rolls with peanut dipping sauce are also very tasty. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood!

The food was great with a very homey feel to it. You can tell they put a lot of work into making the homey atmosphere. The service is amazing. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. They were able to chat up a quick conversation and were very informative when asked about the menu. The owners would also come out sometimes to talk to customers. This is the experience that you should expect in a restaurant. I can’t believe they have only been open for 6 months (as of this review).I usually don’t review a place but this place reminds me of my mother’s cooking.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming to me and my family. We tried the steak stir fry with noodles and it was DELICIOUS. I am a very picky eater and especially picky when it comes to Asian foods but the steak was so beautifully cooked and everything had SUCH good flavor. Definitely one of our new favorite spots. Can’t wait to try their Pho next!

My fiancé and I had plans to eat sushi but we saw this new restaurant and decided to give it a try. I’m so happy we did! The food is AMAZING!!We ordered: Mom’s Pho, salt and pepper chicken wings, Crispy shrimp and pork eggs rolls, and salt and pepper shrimp. Listen, that salt and pepper chicken is 10’s across the board!! I will get that every time I come here.Growing up in San Diego, I’ve eaten a lot of salt and pepper chicken. This is the best I’ve had! The staff is very nice and helpful! I can’t wait to bring my daughters here.
