The best! All foods are great and fresh. Must try the blue fin toro and spicy shrimp handroll! They make foods with heart. They have a diverse menu. But no matter what you order, they never let you down. We have been eating here for couple years. Great services with big smiles. They remember all things that you like.

Small intimate place to eat at. Amazing food! I ordered the Shirley Roll which was fresh and filling. A great mix of fish and the plate was beautiful. Got their bento box for my son. The staff is very attentive and super friendly. Great place!

Came to this store w a friend on Thursday night, had good time:) It’s chill, quiet place for catching up w old friends (might get crowd on weekend maybe?) and cozy (I really like this kinda small size sushi place, which I think it’s supposed to be, like family owned Japanese sushi place). Each of us ordered one kinda of sushi and craft beer, all good. It would a place on my list for greeting my old friends:)

I got the Lady Go-Go, fried Salmon Roll, and chicken Karagee. And wow. That was amazing. By far the freshest and best sushi I’ve had in a while. I highly recommend. Reservations are required.

This is absolutely a gem that has been around for so many years. I had an honor to meet Noriko, who is such a sweetheart and hospitable lady. The food was delicious, so fresh. We tried so many dishes that I couldnt even pick my favorite. As a salmon lover Laura roll was a bombWe will definitely be back soon!

AVOID THIS PLACEI usually don’t write review but This place is the worse place I have ever been!! We told the waitress that the food doesn’t taste good and she just left without saying anything and then she totally ignored us for a while and then I went to her to talk to her she just hand me the bill and she start to yell we’re charging and she called the police I don’t how the business still open with this kind of service !! My favorite sushi spot. Casual dress, good food,good service. I like everything especially spinach, sounds weird but its so good. All the sushi is excellent. Live uni personal favorite. Yugi roll named after owner and chef. Never had a bad experience in 9 years.

After moving to the area, we tried numerous sushi places before finding our new favorite Mon! The Yuji roll is phenomenal. As is the munchie. Weve tried almost everything on the menu now and have yet to be disappointed! The staff are also very friendly - they remember us every time and give us cut oranges for our daughter once they recognize us. We love Mon! So happy we found them.

As soon as you enter you will be welcomed into this delightful sushi restaurant. Nice ambiance and very friendly staff. The food is excellent! We had The Olympic Roll, Laura Roll, Michelle Roll, Pink Panther Roll & Salmon sashimi. All were exquisite!I was originally going to give this 4 stars as they are a bit pricier than I think they should be if they want to be considered “as good as it gets”... BUT, they’re open until midnight, so that earned them that extra star. Which it was a bit less expensive, but I’ll still be back!!!

Excellent service. Great atmosphere. The food itself was definitely not mind blowing by an standards whatsoever, but it was satisfying. I had the caterpillar and spider rolls along with the spicy ramen. The place is small. Blink and youll miss it. Parking is free after 8pm in the small culdesac.

Mon is a small and intimate Japanese restaurant consisting of a sushi bar and only about 5 tables. I was always told that you will find good sushi at small Japanese restaurants like this, and Mon is no exception. The sushi I had was fresh and delicious. They also have a really great value in their combinations because they come with a lot of food for a pretty fair price. The service was great and I highly recommend coming here.

This place is amazing! The quality of the fish has been excellent every visit so far. The blue crab hand roll and toro hand roll and so addicting, I’ve actually even craving them. I always save the toro for last, it’s like desert. This is my new favorite sushi restaurant in the valley.

Mon sushi stands out above the rest of the Ventura Blvd sushi spots. Their rolls are unique and varied, with the crown jewel being the Munch hand roll. The staff is also extremely friendly and inviting, and I honestly cant bring myself to go to any other sushi restaurant anymore.

An amazing diamond in the not so rough with crazy cool rolls and dishes including vegan and vegetarian options such as the tofu steak, creamy veggie ramen and more than a handful of rolls such as the shiitake mushroom roll youre sure to drool over.Reservations on google was/is a big help for groups of 4 and up as we were a group of 8... made a reservation 30 minutes before heading over and everything was set up and waiting for us.Lots of meter street parking around but not much of a private parking lot situation.Great customer service and quality of food.They do serve adult beverages here in case youre wondering.

Disappointed really.Ok sushiTuna fresh & the best of the night.Toro so tiny could barely taste it …minuscule sliced into the 4 tiniest pieces of fish i have ever seen for $20 not worth more than $5 almost needed glasses to find it.Lobster hand roll for $20 had more filling than lobster.Crab hand roll was pretty worthy for $10Charged $2 for shiso after ordering high end menu items.Very petty!!!!Agedashi tofu was bland not enough coating to pick up dashi flavor.Its not fancy or clean but everyone very sweet.2 stars : 1 for Tuna 1 for crab roll and service.

Sushi Mon is my favorite sushi bar and has been for a pretty long... uncontested time! Yugi is a very personable and skillful chef and restaurant owner. His wife and him (as well as the rest of the staff) are very nice and provide great service & fresh food.A while back a buddy of mine told me about this place... since then it had become a sushi staple for my parents, my girlfriend and I as well as a variety of my friends.I have never heard someone there state they have a better place to go (which is rare in the sushi fanatic scene).Favorite roll would be the yugi roll (named after the chef). Favorite sushi is probably the live sweet shrimp (but in all honesty, his fish is always fresh and everything is delightful).

Dont normally write reviews. Live right down the street and finally tried this place out in lieu of my other fav sushi joints. First off, they all greet you when you walk in, they play Bob Marley like no tomorrow (hence their name Mon). Sushi and Marley...best combo ever? I was simply amazed at how fresh the fish was. The salmon melted like butter, other cuts just melted in my mouth. While I was there, they were cutting big slabs off a huge tuna (almost 200 lbs!) and surprised my table a sashimi plate of it on the house. Very nice of them, and was certainly not disappointed. They have a decent decor, not too fancy but this shouldnt matter if all you want is killer food. Service was great, even when the place got busy..and it did get packed as the meal progressed. I will be coming back regularly as they have proved to me they can really get choice and fresh cuts, with pretty good service to boot.

Ive been going here for years now and every single time I always leave satisfied. The owners are great people and so is the staff. Not only is their mons original ramen delicious but so is their sushi. Would recommend any of their ramens as lv 2 spicy for a great balance of taste and flavor. And also their nami sushi plate is amazing.

We eat here frequently due to the quality of the sushi and the service.The owner, Yuji, and his wife, Noriko, go out of their way to make you feel like family.Parking can be challenging, as its metered street parking with a small lot behind the restaurant.My kids especially love their Garlic Spinach. Im partial to their Lady Go-Go roll - its delicious!Hot tip: they have a Happy Hour Menu where items are discounted; its a great deal!

Theyre open late which is a plus. The sushi is alright, the service is fast. I just feel they could do better with the quality of the fishes and the interior design of the sushi bar. The music they play is inappropriate to the environment and they need to play some mellow music. They have some EDM songs in their playlist which made me feel uncomfortable to eat and I had to get up and leave as soon as I ate.

Terrible service, no one answers the 3 different phone numbers listed for this place so if you decide to show up to get a table they say it’s only reservations by phone. Well I decided to stand outside and call and what do you know, no one answered. Decent sushi, ok portion but it’s definitely not worth it if you can’t get a table to eat the food.

The sushi was fresh and delicious. The staff was super friendly. But they served me some swill that was supposed to be ramen. An aberation of water, beef broth, and noodles. The green onions were rancid and left a bitter taste in my mouth thats making me gag. Worst soup Ive ever had.

I *really* wanted Ramen for my birthday dinner. Its been cold and windy out and I just wanted something light. After ruling out a few places I found this restaurant. My boyfriend was kind enough to order and pick up take out for us.He said that this place was really cute and looked like it would be a good place to go back to for date night some time. He also said that since it was a weeknight he had no issues with parking but could see it turning into a nightmare on nights that were busy.That said - I ordered the Tokyo Ramen and he ordered the Mon Original Ramen. Funny enough, when I tasted mine I didnt really like it (Tokyo Ramen has seaweed and it was throwing me off). So we switched right away and were both very happy!We both got spice level 1 and I found it to be the perfect burn I was looking for.I cant wait to go to the restaurant some day to try other things on their menu. Im really happy I found this place!
