Absolutely love Mongolian bbq. Ive been going there for years. Its one my sons favorite places as well. The food is fresh, and the service is warm and attentive. Definitely recommend this place, although I would like to keep it a well kept secret 🙂🙂

Ive been coming to this place for at least thirty-five years. Whenever Im in town visiting family I try to come to this place. On July 14, 2023 I was there with my father, who loves this place as much as I do and has been coming here for at least as long as I have.The food was and is always great—I have never been disappointed with it—and I have never been here without an excellent server taking our order, bringing our drinks, and bringing rice, egg roll, and other goodies that come with the meal. This last visit was just a bit different from the others in that they were out of a couple of the frozen meats. But once notified they quickly brought out more from the freezer. We were there rather late in the evening so I think they can be forgiven for this oversight.The restaurant is quite old and looks somewhat decrepit but thats part of its charm. I think this restaurant has been around for at least fifty years and it evidently has a successful formula that works well for the owners and its patrons. Why change it? Its looked exactly the same for as long as Ive been coming here. So what it lacks in modern decor it more than makes up for in the quality of its offerings and its service. Also, the fact that this place quite often is packed with diners on Fridays and Saturdays says something about the reputation of this place.

I’ve been been coming to Mongolian BBQ since I was a kid. The only thing that has changed is the switching of hands to the next generation to handle the business. The decor is like going back in time to the late 70’s, I think that’s kind of cool and very nostalgic for me. I know you’re not here reading this review necessarily for the decor so let’s move on to what’s really important. The service has always been impeccable. I’ve never had an issue here with anyone that works here in twenty of service so that’s easy. The food never disappoints and hasn’t in my 45 years of life coming here. This is for me, the best Mongolian BBQ I’ve personally ever had. Maybe I’m biased because I’ve been coming here all my life? However you look at it. The food is delicious and always has been consistent. They keep it fairly clean considering it’s outdated. You have to try their hot green tea, it’s so soothing and settled the stomach well. If you’re ever in the Pomona/Claremont area, stop in for some delicious Mongolian bbq, I don’t think you’d be disappointed! Happy eating Fam!

Came here with the family and the food was delicious although a bit pricey. The highlight here is that their fried appetizers all came out perfectly crispy, their pocket bread paired well with the mongolian bbq, and the service was excellent. The tables are a bit small to accommodate what each person gets with their order but I had a great meal here with my family and would definitely come back

This place is one of my favorite Asian food places to visit .. My only complaint is the no refills policy I feel its a bit on the pricey side so I feel some type of way about forking over more money for a refill I mean I totally get that boba drinks are no refills but the soda machine definitely should be other than that its clean the food is tasty (mongolian)the Chinese is also pretty good if you enjoy Asian food and your in the area this place is a must try!!

This is the first time I tried this place and it was great. I went in for lunch take away and the girl who greeted me helped me all the way thru, she was great too. Good price as well, less than $10 for Mongolian BBQ, egg roll, wonton, rice and 2 pockets.

The place looks old and dirty. The first booth as you walk in is full of newspapers, cups and boxes. Area where you serve yourself is dirty, all the vegetables are mixed because of people dropping them when they are selecting. Food is not great, they have no seafood like other Mongolian BBQs. But honestly the worst is how dirty the place looks.

My very first here in this neighborhood with my daughter, who turns 10 today and wanted to give her a treat here, but unfortunately I wasn’t pleased. Considering the fact that there were fresh food and fresh vegetables, hence my 3 star. However, I still have to point out some shortfalls I observed here: the food is over priced, the cutleries ( spoons, forks) too light rather too cheap, The cabbage soup is very bad, the thinly meat shaved frozen meat after cook seems disappear from the bowl, this is very disappointing. Most importantly too the GRILL Needs to be replaced or clean very well. Improvement before I come back here again.

Its over priced and outdated. Our table was attached to the wall but was very slanted. The food was bland. I sauced it up good but there was no flavor. The grill needs to be cleaned more often because we were getting a lot of burnt food charcoal in our meal. Service was slow and the family before us was waiting 15 minutes just to get greeted at the counter. I love mongolian but this place needs work all around.

The food was good, the chefs cooking the food are really friendly and give excellent service. The restaurant isout- dated, but it makes it feel homey. There is a strong scent of spices and moisture when you walk in due to the lack of ventilation (not many windows.) I dont like that they charge $3 per box to take home your leftovers if you get the ( all you can eat .) My overall experience here was ok, I would come back for the food .

Ive been coming here since I was a child. They have added more vegetables since and everything is just so delicious. The plate you get really depends on your own tastes as youre the one that picks the veggies and the type/ quantity of sauces. Always a good experience here.

Ive been coming here for years and it is one of those places that you have to go back to at least once a month. Great sesame bread,egg rolls, shrimp, won tons, sweet sauce and of course, the bbq. The family that runs the place are the nicest people and they love what they do. Great Selection of beer, too. You’ll love it!

The food was okay, nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to Mongolian bbq style dining. The pockets were a nice touch but not enough to save the graces for all the things lacking in this restaurant. First off the soup they serve, might as well not exist as it amounts up to a BIG nothing. The crispy won-ton and the egg roll were not up to par with their names. The ingredients to choose from are very few and not well stocked at all. When something goes down to absolutely nothing, they add a little bit, but I think this is because they have a cooling problem at the buffet they are serving them from. The place looks very dingy and the decor needs an immediate upgrade. Floors are perpetually dirty and other than the old lady, who seems to be the owner, nobody pays attention to the floors. The servers are very friendly but one goes to a restaurant to eat good food, not to chat with the staff. I dont believe I will be visiting this restaurant any more.

They promptly took our orders and brought out soup and a variety of fried treats wontons, eggrolls, etc all were delicious. I have been going to this place for my whole life! If you know how to make the food its really fun! You push all the meat down till its completely compressed and then you make a barrier with the carrots and zucchini and then you put garlic and what ever else you want in the middle and then you put noodles on top and press the whole thing down with the napkins provided the one with the least in their bowl pays for the one with the most in their bowl! :D great place great service great fun!

Not bad. You can choose buffet or non-buffet. You will fill your medium size bowl with meat of your choices. You must press it down really hard because you will be adding more on top (veggies and noodles) making it mountainous. Then you add your choices of seasonings. Bring your bowl to the counter for the chef to cook for you. Taste pretty good but found it to be not our type.

At one point I had thought this place had closed down, imagine my delight when I found out it was still open. I have been going to this restaurant for 15+ years. There is no place better, that I have been to, if you just want simple Mongolian styled Asian cuisine. The place is retro to the point that it almost looks dive-y but I still enjoy it. The wait staff is extremely nice. I met one of the managers on our last visit. Nice young man whose family has owned the restaurant for 30+ years I believe. The prices are good compared to other Mongolian style restaurants Ive been to. The all-you-can-eat is around $15 and you get soup and appetizers included. The shaved meat variety is straight forward: Turkey, Chicken, Beef and Pork. There could be more variety of veggies... but what they do have there is classic and fresh tasting.Ive been to other Mongolian styled restaurants, and they were good, but I think this place is the best tasting for the money. When I go to a Mongolian restaurant, I want MONGLIAN Asian style food... I dont want to be tempted with Italian, or American or other style cuisines all done on the giant cooking surface.5 Stars

Why give a bowlfull of meat, refuse to give more bowls for veggies, but allow people to pile absurdly high piles of veggies on their one bowl already full of meat? Elderly people wanted veggies, but didnt know they should try to delicately balance a Leaning Tower of Pisa to get it! The building is old and feels dirty. The tea was weak. Literally weak tea. Why go? Just dont. Its ridiculous.

A cheap, delicious, no frills Mongolian BBQ place (just as the name suggests). The food is excellent and you have your choice of meats and vegetables. The all you can eat option is great for trying different meats and flavor combinations. It also works really well for groups! We went with 13 people and we all could eat at our own pace. Service was attentive. Absolutely hit the spot!

I have been coming here for years. Its well priced delicious, Mongolian BBQ. All of these people that dont like thus restaurant have no idea what they are talking about. You make the food yourself, and if its to oily, to spicy, or not flavorful enough, thats your own fault. During lunch they bring you your choice of meat and you take it to the vegetable and sauce bar, at dinner they just bring you a bowl and you get the meats and vegetables both at the bar. Sauce it, they cook it, you eat it. Its delicious.

This is one of the best hole in the wall restaurants in Claremont. Here is how it works: you order side dishes, then go to the counter and fill a bowl with as much meat (chicken, turkey, beef) and veggies that you can or want to fit. Then, the chefs cook it over a huge metal slab. Not only is the food made fast, but you choose exactly what goes in your dish. A must try.

Found this place through yelp monicle. Good value. Not fancy but good if you know what to expect. Frozen meat heaped into a bowl and then you go get the things you want cooked in. I had more of a selection at my college cafeteria when we did Mongolia bbq on Friday. When you order the meat you pick the extra side plate of food stuffs. Pocket biscuit was good to heap food into.

The food was ok. Over all the entire experience was bad. Service was aweful we almost walked out and went to the place next door. The lady saw us walk in and turned away to go do something else. The interior was dark and drab and the system used to get your food is just plain gross. I should have gone to the mall to eat if I just had to have mongolian. This is the bombest spot for mongolian grill cuisine. Lunch prices are an amazing value, and at dinner you can literally pile as much meat as your heart desires. Almost a unnoticeable hole in the wall type place. The food is quite good..sevice is good as well HOWEVER .THE FACILITY IS NOT CLEAN...THE VENTS IN TH CEILING ARE DIRTY ANDVER WORN.....THE CARPET NEAR THE FOOD COUNTER IS TORN UP....THE WALL PAPER IS OUTDATED AND DIRTY NEEDS DEEP CLEANING....THE LIGHT FIXTURES ARE DIRTY....TOO TOO BAD..BECAUSE THE FOOD AND SREVICE IS QUITE GOOD....WAKE UP.....
