Monster Ph in Oakland

It’s been a few years, but I’m glad to be back at monsterpho new location - it’s simply the cutest pho spot in the BAY! A must-visit for all you IG foodies!I am a big spring roll girl and their rolls were so beautifully made, unlike mine -uneven and lopsided 🤣 lol.We were sad we missed their popular 24 hr beef bone pho, which is only available during the weekends. BUT their Monster Pho Combo was really good, just like how my grandma used to make it but better - 🤫don’t tell my grandma. lolIf you’re indecisive about what to order? Try their Monster Vermicelli Combo or the Monster Rice Combo and thank me later!For desserts, we had their White Summer and Vietnamese Coffee Flan; which was delicious. Oh, don’t forget their cute merch!! We couldn’t resist and got a few items. 🥰 Thank you!

The food is four stars. But the novelty and service push it to five stars. The staffs are very friendly which is a stark difference from most pho places in which service is usually impersonal. One staff even teaches a little child how to operate the robot. That’s super cute. Like that a lot!

Update December 2023 -STILL THE BEST PHO in the East Bay! Aromatic clean flavors without the greasy mouth coating you get at some, with delicious beef the way you like it (rare steak slices is my fav but you can also have brisket, etc.), and noodles cooked perfectly (not too soft or firm). Recently, they started doing monthly specials to feature dishes you might not have had a chance to try before - currently it’s Bun Bo Hue, a spicy lemon grass beef noodle soup named after the historic city Hue in Vietnam. It’s a must try if you like beef, spicy, and lemon grass :)The staff and comfy clean dining space remain A+ at this new location (moved here during COVID). So glad you’re in the neighborhood!Prior review -Updating review with pics - Jan 2019. Weve been going here 1-2x/week for at least two years now and thank goodness the place has kept the same friendly staff and excellent pho and other Viet dishes. Our fav is the delicious and generous portion large size pho - clean clear both, you dont see globs of fat floating on top like at many pho places.

Family friendly, fresh food prepared well. They have wine and draft beer. Small amount of games for kids, including a photo booth, video game, and toy dispenser. The delivery robots are fun. The staff and owner are super friendly and fast. We were there celebrating a birthday and they were beyond accommodating. Will definitely be back!

Wanted to find out what the hype was all about this place, so I stopped for a quick bite in Oakland. No wait during a weekday lunch for one. Fun and clean interior, order can be made through QR code on each table. You have to pay first and tip at the same time, which was a bit awkward for me.Ordered large beef pho with meatball, tripe, and brisket for $16 (+tax & tip came to be $20+).Service was quick and pleasant, and the food came out within 5 minutes. However the amount was surprisingly small compared to other pho joints nearby, and there was nothing outstanding about the broth. Noodles were just ok and the amount of meat was subpar.Dont think Ill be back, so many other places where I can get much more for $20.

Love this place! Very delicious food, good prices, great staff. The owner is super nice and kind and it just generally feels like exactly the right kind of place to have in the neighborhood. Were always happy when we come here and we always say we should come more often!Their new location is great - lots of space and plenty of seating.Service is fast and friendly and it feels like a family establishment. :)

The green interior of Pho restaurant is like an amusement park. A food runner robot served Pho. The thin noodles and light soup were easy to eat and tasty. The rice plate was also good. The only disappointment was the chicken wings, which seemed to be over-fried and dry. The staff are all very nice and I would come back.

The Pho was delicious and the egg rolls crispy and hardy. The only downside was the robot service. Its cool and innovative but it takes away from the restaurant experience in my opinion (some people might like this). I would definitely go back tho for the amazing broth.

I often eat here and their Pho is the best in the area. Hands down. Their service also goes above and beyond. We go for the amazing Pho and are repeat customers for the amazing service.My mom has a strict diet and they were more than accommodating with her requests. They were very kind and helpful. I would give more stars if I could.

🤖 Robots are taking over the 🌎 My 1st time here at this location of Monster Pho (Oakland). Robots were bringing to my table the food and drinks. Cant decide if I really like this or not🤔 I dont know, maybe the human touch and service helps make it a good dining experience for me?Pho- big bowl w/ lots of meat and clear soul warming brothVermicelli w/ grilled pork- fresh and delicious. Dont forget to add some cruchy imperial rolls!
