Beautiful during the holidays. We enjoy walking and seeing the decorations. Indoors, so good place to stay out of the cold or the heat. They have plenty of places throughout the mall to sit. Updated many of the stores.

Came to see War at The Canyon. The concert was great, but to get in is a disaster. They need a better system to get in. We bought our ticket two month prior to the date. They dont let you in even though we had reserved seats. Had to talk security to explain how bad the situation was. Well, we got in finally. But then the waiter comes and tells us that they ran out of food after we paid in advance. I told him to give me my card back and give me a full refund, and I wasnt going to pay for the tab we had running. He immediately said. Ill be right back with your food. Well, they got things right. Then got to hang out with Lonnie Jordan backstage.

It’s improved over the years, the changes really help set it apart but also refreshed its appearance and appeal. Hope that doesn’t mean higher prices.Anywho, one thing that doesn’t make sense is the outside choices and how bare metal was placed to rust on the bridge and entrances. It looks terrible. As a designer it could’ve been handled differently and would’ve resulted in different outcome that lasts longer and is more controlled. Not sure about the long term rigidity. I’m giving it two stars for the exterior choices. In the inside they make sense, but in the outside they completely messed up and are simply going to give themselves more work in the near future repairing / fixing long term rust issues.

Have not been here in 13 years. I was pleasantly surprised the mall has been kept up and clean. Bathrooms were decently clean and stocked. Good variety of shops and food vendors. Absolutely 💯 love the monster apple 🍎 😍 it was done right ✅️ and delicious 😋 like I remembered.

I am not much of a big mall person. This mall is small compared to many others. But it has everything that you need for a quick shopping trip. Theres also many places where you can get something delicious to eat. Its a nice clean place

Never been to/in this mall before. Went when it opened so it was perfect (no crowds). Bought what I needed and was in and out within 30 min. Not a mall shopper. Prefer on line.

This mall has its charm but doesnt compare to nearby malls. I would say it lost 2 stars because the food court is definitely lacking with variety and delicious food they had years ago such as Sbarro, Mongolian stir fry, baked potato stand, hot dog on a stick, etc. Also the choice and amount of stores is lackluster.

The new AMC is under construction. There are other new tenants. The food court has been renovated and re branded. It looks a lot better and has some fresh tenants. They have a cool wall art piece in the parking structure. The bridge from the parking structure to the mall looks great. The inside has a lot of seating and common areas. The mall looks great, especially for the area.

The Montclair Plaza has been a childhood memory and still is part of my life. I remember it being built. I also remember when the Plaza became a second story. Its changed so much throughout the decades.I enjoy shopping there when Im in the area. Happy shopping

Nice place for shopping theres some good stores here with good food in the court. This place is Nicely remodeled and theres still some work going on here but not a problem while shopping, theres also plenty of parking and clean restrooms. It was a great experience here.

We went to The Canyons at Montclair for the first time to see Leonid & Friends. The only reason this is rated a 1 star is because the music was in fact great. But just about everything else was terrible.We got to the venue at 6:30pm for an 8pm show. There were 2 lines to get into the venue. One very long line snaking around the corner and another about 10 person deep. No sign indicating what each line was for. Finally found someone to tell us that 1 line is for ticketed patrons while the other line is for Will Call. But...patrons with tickets for seats that dont require a dinner purchase were lining up along with those patrons who are required to purchase dinner. There was just 1 person processing the very long line of ticketed patrons and this same person is the one processing food orders.We had Will Call so we lined up with the shorter queue. It took 50 minutes to get inside and finally be in #1 position. We waited another 10 minutes before we got helped. Once the girl confirmed we had Will Call, all she did really was to write up our dinner order. By the way, Will Call is simply a very small area of the bar manned by 2 overworked girls. From there we had to go to another line to pay for our dinner order. Drinks had to be ordered separately from the bar. After paying for our dinner order, its off to....you guessed it...another line. This line is for someone to take us to our seats.Getting into our seats was a joke. They packed the tables and seats so close together it was not possible to get in (or out) of our seats without causing our neighboring patrons to the left and to the right and behind to also move. It was so cramped that when the food finally came, the servers can only pass down our plates. It was not possible for them to individually serve us. So from the head of each table, food plates were passed from one guest to another until everyone got their food. We essentially served ourselves. For this service, we got charged an 18% gratuity fee. And because it took so long to get through the Will Call line, our food order consequently was processed late as well and was not served until after the show already started (it started 20 minutes late because there were still folks lined up). So, we had no choice but to eat our main entre in the dark. But the unbelievably cramped premium seats take the cake. I cannot believe this arrangement is not a violation of multiple fire codes. We overheard another unhappy customer complain that the venues capacity is 1,000 persons but that there were more than 1,300 there that evening. Well it felt like there were 1,300 there that evening and we know how they managed to add 300 more.

The remodel is excellent, the Starbucks is just a little too WOKE for my taste, didnt help that only one person on the staff seemed competent, they were very slow and also made my coffee incorrectly, I just took the one they made wrong because I did not have time to wait for them to remake it. The line of people waiting for drinks was rediculous, again it was because only one person seemed to know what he was doing.

Came here once with my sibling. This mall is smaller than the Westfield malls around SoCal, but it is very clean! Their food court is on the second floor with different cuisine selections, but overall this place has a lot of shops that you would typically see in a mall. The fun locations are definitely Barnes & Nobles and Kids Empire if youve got kids.Barnes & Nobles has a childrens section with nostalgic characters at the entrance and inside there is a small stage surrounded by the 100 Acre Wood with Owl, Pooh bear, and Piglet! I didnt go inside Kids Empire, but you can tell that that place is giant and seems a lot of fun. :)One cool thing about this place that I noticed other malls dont really have are tables with charging stations.

Shopping Malls are disappearing bug they refurbished this one in the food court and added a live music venue, they offer cool air shelter during heat waves and a morning walking club, they have weekly summer activities and a beautiful new movie theater

Montclair Place is a nice mall and getting better.. its family friendly to go shopping, for a walk, to get a bite to eat or just hang out. With upgrades to the food court, the food options are great btw.. and new additions like the Canyon, Kids Empire and eventually the new AMC cinema under construction will add an excellent entertainment alternative and new restaurants. Been coming here for years and finally great to see improvements happening.. great job!

Great way to spend the day. Plenty of things to do including Kids Empire indoor playground as well as an AMC theaters inside. Classic stores such as Bath and Body Works, Journeyz and Lunchbox but cool niche stores like RockForce and Tokyo. Loved that the family bathrooms include a small, toddler-sized toilet and toddler-sized sink.

A decent mall with run-of-the-mill stores. I like that theres a Barnes & Noble, H&M, Aeropostale, and F.Y.E. here. However, a walk around will reveal pretty dead areas of the mall, especially once you pass where JC Penney is near and go toward the new AMC wing. The dead Sears and Nordstrom wings are very void of life, with the stores near each clinging onto life. I know Montclair Place remodeled its food court a few years ago and the overall mall interior underwent a refresh, so I think overall its a decent mall. But like many modern American malls, it is facing more and more vacant spaces from shuttered retail names.

The mall is finally open again. A nice place, fairly large. Clean. However, some stores cleaned up and left, and others like FYE were closed. The food court was mostly closed. Who knows if the new AMC movie theater under construction for a long time will ever open. The Disney store was open as well as Barnes and Noble.

I love this mall! My favorite place in the food court is Noodle world. My two favorite things to eat there are: pho’ and chicken fried rice! My taste buds are liking simple comfort food! I like to shop at: Starbucks /See’s Candies ./ Hot Topic/JC Penny’s/The lunch box, there’s more. But, I cannot remember the names of all the stores. Anyway, I have fun buying gifts for friends and family at this mall. (I also buy nice stuff for myself here.) I love to go Christmas 🎄 shopping here, as well.

This is really a great mall. It is not so huge, and not too small, and has a beautiful interior with most of the standard shops. They have a Macys and JCPennys as the main department stores and a few of my favs there like FYE, Hot Topics, and Spencers.The food court is great. They have a lot of restaurants and a spacious area. We love the Doner and Gyros. Great food. We also like Olis Tacos, and they have a good assortment of eateries here.The mall has two floors and most of the shops are open. Which is great. They also have a lot of accessible parking.Last but not least they have a Free Covid vaccine facility where no appointment is required. They have a Lazy Dog restaurant outside the mall. Great place to visit and shop!

Montclair place, where Hot Topic began.While the one here is a shadow of its former self, it is the home of the origin store. There is also a spencers, Sees candy, GNC (golds gym across the street), spectrum store, among many others.Formerly called Montclair plaza.The movie theater is a nice edition and is often open when the mall is not, from late hours. You can enter the AMC via esclator from south east side of the building.Just beyond that moving west is the outer enterance of the barns and noble, so those there for special events outside of mall hours should head to the south parking lot facing the 10 freeway. Access to Macys is on the far west side.Covid compliant. Roving staff is on top of keeping things from bathrooms (in food court), tables and seating santized. Securtiy is polite and watchful.Accessablity wise there is an elevator is in the middle as well as escalator there as well as the far east and west sides of the mall. As well as the AMC and an escalator in JC pennies. Am uncertain of any other elevators. But the upper level can be accessed by wheelchairs. The upper level enterance level with Moreno street. The lower levels via the lower parking lots on all sides of bulding.There is a large number of confortable seating from couches to rocking chairs for those who are want to rest or waiting others they came with that doing the shopping. Can even grab a boba tea or coffee in the meanwhile.Mass transit footill transit 480/492 and Omnitrans 66 can drop you off on the north side on Moreno. Omnitrans will also contect on the west side monte vista the 88, 85 and to the east 84 will get as close as central and moreno/7th st.

Theres a lot of vacant stores, plus Sears and Nordstrom left leaving just JCPenny and Macys. What used to be a high end jewelry store is now some kind of carnival target practice store, you could rent a electric big wheel and mow people down, and theres a huge spot for vaccines and virus testing (two if you count the bus out back). Clothing options for men are a joke. The photo I attached is what Macys thinks I should be wearing... I dont think so.

This place has so much potential but they need to bring in better shops/vendors also they need to bring in new restaurants that actually have good food. Its so sad to see this mall so empty compared to just 5 years ago. I’ve grown coming here since I was a baby and I can just say the quality of this place has significantly gone down throughout the years. It used to feel alive and there was an abundance of stores which customers would storm in and out of by the second. Now it just feels like an empty husk of what it had been. Notable things like the food court, Nordstrom, the Disney store, and more where all removed. It is apperant that the decision of removing these establishment has brought down crowds. What used to be full with people now feels abandoned and forgotten. Many stores have come and gone and I feel like anytime now they will announce the closure of this mall for good. I feel saddened by saying this but it is the full hearted truth, one that cannot be altered and that is fully independent.

As bad as it gets . A very sad sight . Rusty bridge outside guetto parking lot with the gound crumbling and no clear white lines antique door with old wood you have to open MANUALLY . At the eta of covid they should have been made automatic 3 years ago ... LOTS AND LOTS of empty spaces that they tey to cover up with sign peace love or just a plain background . That mall look like its struggling to rent the space . The h&m is TINY . Neither the h&m or macys compare to the one in victoria garden . Felt like ghost town on a week day . The electric strairs are useless and dont even work . Most store are selling pleasure shoes and cheap polyester . The forever 21 and victoria secret are tiny compare to ontario mills . Seriously this mall was a huge waste of time . Nothing much. zero Security guard in the parking lot felt very unsafe . You are better off going straight to ontario mills . Wont be coming back . Felt super outdated very guetto . Zero effort put into maintening and bringing the place up to date ... felt so gross inside almost like a time capsule .it would need to be gutted out and redone . The lights are super dark and very bad . It does not make you feel like you want to stay and shop there .whoever own this mall clearly doesnt give 2 cents about it .terrible management poorly run bad bad bad marketing .no one will drive up all the way or go out of their way to montclair to drop $$ for surch an old uncomfortable dark looking place ... it looks beat up and borderline abandon . Zero landscaping either not very welcoming

Fun interior decorating. I kept finding myself staring at this art display with license plates from all fifty states. ...Anyway.Nice selection of beers and a huge (maybe too big) food menu to choose from. Staff were friendly and welcoming.The place was packed on a Saturday afternoon so keep that in mind.I had the chicken pot pie which was tasty but a bit dry. If I go back, which I am open to, I would try something else. Theres a lot to choose from.

Getting in and out of The Montclair Plaza (formerly called Montclair Plaza) was easy enough and the main drag is very wide! The attractions are widely dispersed among the AMC movie theatre, The Canyons Bar, and fine selection of dining surrounding the typical mall stores/islands. The workers at Wetzells Pretzels were very helpful getting me a snack but most importantly, breaking my $20 for bus fare change but, too, expensive water, ugh.

The mall has changed a lot from what I remember which is a good thing. They have completely revamped the interior and it looks great. The have moved around some of the stores and changed the food court completely. I was disappointed in the food court because it isnt nearly as large and the selection has dwindled. Thats my only complaint. I love the new look of the mall inside and out and they are still working on it. Im excited to see what kinds of stores they will fill the mall with. Just miss the old food court and all the selection. Other than that definitely check it out. Also, on a side note, check out the artwork painted on the ramp by Macys going up to the second level of the parking structure. Do a drive by and look and the line painting and the color gradients. Very nicely done. Kudos to the artist.

Went to the AMC theater there. I definitely love the seating at this theater. Also I found out it is heated seats. Trying to find the adjuster to recline my seat I ended up pressing the button high heat. The seat got warm really fast. Only thing I did not like, I did not bring my bank card because my husband had a gift card. So when I had went to the restroom I went to get a drink and some candy and they dont have the tap and go pay. They dont take apple they dont take Android they dont take Google none of that. Which was surprising for it being a big company the lady at the concession stand said she was surprised also. So if you go to buy anyting definitely have your bank card or bring cash. Nowadays people want to carry less and pay with their phone. But you cant do it at the Montclair AMC.

So starting from a quick glance perspective, it’s fantastic, with nice renovations, and ‘unique’ stores.A further rundown of the place can be that it’s mostly like any other mall. Nice during the week, and a semi-crowded during the weekends.There are sometimes events that can be found around in the corner of the mall, but it tends to get crowded real quick, and there are always the yearly traditions they keep, such as the Santa with his big tree, and the Easter bunny and his ‘Easter garden’.The stores themselves are different, and each has their own way of dealing with stuff, so it wouldn’t be fair to judge the whole mall based on one or two stores there, even if they are one of the bigger ones.The place gives a nice feeling to it, even though one of my own complaints would be that there are just two bathrooms that aren’t connected to stores, which sucks if you are at the opposite end of the mall, since it’s kind of big.The security that sometimes pass by are normally undetected, and so are the cleaners, unless you’re really trying to find them, which is nice.Since I don’t work there myself, I can’t say that I know the place from head to toe, but I have been coming there for some time to know that the place is nice for new customers and pleasant for locals.During the time of this review, there is an AMC theatre being built, and I hope the thing itself is nice, since it will be done this year, and it looks to be worked on a lot during the time it’s being built.In summary, the place is nice, and that’s all I can say. The stores themselves are different, and I sincerely can’t judge the whole mall based off of one store. It’s a nice place to also go even if you don’t have money, because you can just watch people pass by, or find something interesting in one of the stores.

They have tons of great stores. I wish they had more quick food options. The newly remodeled food court is kind of small. They are making some big changes and adding a bowling alley and movie theater. But they are just starting that addition. Theres always plenty of parking and I feel safe there when I go with my girls. It was so great to see the mall opening back up after covid. I went to bath and body works and got in without having to wait in line. Then I went to Starbucks. It was pretty busy. I walked by the food court and people were sitting around eating and talking. Everything was open and it smelled great. Mostly everyone was wearing a mask so I missed seeing the expressions on their faces but am hopeful that wont be the case soon. I heard someone say they were on their way to the movie theater, another plus. All I can say is that it was wonderful to be able to go out again!

This is a nice mall with a lot to do and shop. They have interesting stores that you would normally not see at other malls including Japanese stores and collectibles stores. They also have name brand stores. There are 2 locations for Wetzels Pretzels. There are a lot of jewelry stores too. The parking is not difficult and there is easy to find parking anywhere.

Really love the atmosphere of the mall. 2 story malls usually have this better aesthetic to them. With the addition of the new playground for kids, it makes it a joy for them to come without having to feel bored while shopping. Haven’t tried the food court but wish there were more/different stores here. Nothing I could do, but the addition of the AMC in 2020 will definitely make me come back here.

Its a great mall and not crazy pack like the other malls. They renovated the mall and it looks amazing. They recently added AMC which Is great since its inside the mall. The only downside of the mall is that it doesnt doesnt have a lot of stores. Some stores are closing, which gives you the less option to shop at that mall. Hopefully they open more stores inside.

Amc is by far the nicest movie theater in the area by a long shot. Reserve seating and the service is terrific. The seating is great no matter where u sit. Also the chairs are comfty and have heated seats which is the coolest. If you are a shareholder tickets are nearly half off and with the free large popcorn u save tons of money. Tons of stores closed, very popular stores. They likely raised the rent to build their new food court thats supposed to look high end, and it does look nice, but the rest of the mall- previously Montclair Plaza (now Montclair Place), doesnt exactly fit what theyre attempting to do. They added Amazon pick up lockers in addition the the new food court (which does have great food! I HIGHLY recommend Noodle World Jr). Its kind of strange to me that they didnt just reface the food court where it already was. They tore up the mall to add the new food court, and it just doesnt look good with all the empty storefronts and temporary walls. It doesnt fit the upscale aesthetic theyre trying- and essentially failing at. They seem to be trying for a Victoria Gardens feel, but it just isnt feasible with location and type of setting. Stores open and close, new stores take their place and eventually close as well, the cycle repeats. The new food court doesnt have much variety and its not very appealing. But, Noodle World Jr is good and there are still good businesses so I cant rate it too negatively. Ill leave it at middle ground with 3 stars.

They have really fixed up this mall and it is really nice to shop and relax here. They have a big Barnes & Noble, which is wonderful. I do like ordering books from Amazon but we need to support B&N. We can let that chain die. It is the last of the big bookstores and their Nook digital prices are the same as the Kindle. There is a very nice Starbucks inside and you are never bothered for sitting and reading. I applaud them. Overall, Montclair place has become a very competitive mall. What a great mall!!! This place has truly changed its Enter appearance with a fresh look and more upscale items. I actually enjoy being inside this mall then I did before. It’s not a heavy appearance of security but they are there, and the people the mall drives in are usually clean great looking people. Sometimes they are some homeless at entrance of the mall but I thinking the security guards are handle their jobs quite well. The outside of the mall needs a touch up bc from the outside you would never guess there was a jewel inside. Has some good stores to shop at. Located right next to the 10 fwy. Cant wait to see what greatness awaits this convenient mall!!

Food court has Chinese, Thai, Mexican, poki. Its a bit pricy. Food was okay. Lot of people hanging out it seemed

This mall had really been struggling in the past. it seems like its getting a little better with stores set to open and the ones that i visited are well maintained and in good condition. the parking lot is also pretty big but itd be better here if they had some more restaurants and opened up more stores.

They have definitely remodeled it. It looks nice. However, a lot of it is closed for construction. So just have to be patient. So far it was clean not crowded for a Sunday. Parking lot still needs some remodeling.

Man this place is empty and 😢. I grew up shopping at Montclair Plaza and its now just a shell of its former self.
