Before i continue. This place sells the truth, they have great soup, BUT they also put AND SANDWICH for a reason 🥵😩 I literally come 2 times a week minimum for this giant crispy grilled pork banh mi. Addictive is a understatement, because look at the care they put into assembling this sandwich every time, like look at the cucumber cut and then jalapeños and pickled julienned carrots. I will continue to be back here until the doctors advise otherwise. 10/10

Dont get fool by the appearance of this local place. Once you taste how delicious the food you will definitely come back for more. The staff are amazing and even the chef will hand you your to go order. Must check out and support local businesses that are worth it.

I was in California on business and we were having a craving for Pho, so after a bit of a search we found a few places, we happened on Montebello Pho & Sandwich. Initially the GPS didnt do us any favors and got us lost twice saying we were at the address, but it is a little behind where the GPS sent us. We almost gave up but then eventually figured it out and I am so glad we did.Montebello Pho & Sandwich is one of the best Pho restaurants I have been to while I was in California!!! First off, I had never seen a Pho place with a drive thru, that was amazing!!! The menu was quite different than what Im used to in Canada at a Pho place, but it still had all the staple items you would expect ... The service was great and the owners were very friendly. I found eating on the outdoor patio while the sun was setting was such a nicer experience than Im used to for a Pho restaurant.We shared a few starters and each got a meal and no one was disappointed with what they got. The bubble tea was tasty and was a nice completion to the already great meal.All and all next time I go back to California I hope I get to stop in for another meal. 5/5 for sure !!!

Is 4 stars reviews real? I find this restaurant very dirty and small and only got 3 tables in whole restaurant. Price is not cheap. Outside looks run down. Food is mediocre. I am upset that I drove out here based on 4 star reviews and very unhappy with everything. It’s not even a restaurant. Looks like a small tiny place turned into a restaurant.

We did call ahead and ordered a combination pho, chicken and beef ball pho and an order of spring rolls. Everything was delicious especially for this chilly weather right now. Its a bit of a wait just because of how busy they get, its definitely a 10.

We had a menu that was on the counter a few weeks ago and when we came out the prices on the actual board were quite different and quite pricey for the portions given I was really excited to learn about this place not so far from home but unless theyre willing to tweek the food flavors and potions to go along with the new prices I might not be back.I ordered the large combo pho and my sister the regular brisket only pho. Both served in the same container hers had regular noodles and plenty of meat, mine had way more noodles but hardly any meat I paid more for mine, go figure

I really enjoy Vietnamese cuisine and expected good results from this venue. I think the dishes I had were staples for a Vietnam restaurant in the US. Unfortunately the spring roll had some issues with pork meat scent and flavor that was overwhelming the shrimp and lettuce. Also the rice vermicelli bowl suffered because of a bit stiff grilled pork that was hard to chew. I think the chef mixed cuts of pork and some pieces were not tender. Secondly the vermicelli for the dish should have been chilled since it is a cold dish with grilled meat on top. Maybe I will try their Vietnamese sandwiches instead next time. They have covered outside seating when the weather is good and also they have a drive through which is convenient.

Was here a few years back, before this account.. before I knew Vietnamese folk could really ruin Pho.I consumed:Pho combo: The broth is rich alone, add spice near the end to increase the already great experience.The meats are actually flavorful. First time impression - not very Vietnamese. This place is for intro into Vietnamese foodies. Pro:The staff was very attentive. They were all working 100% during lunch hour. I got my mild ice coffee within a minutes. The young asian male staffer gets 5 stars for efforts. I asked him if their Banh Mi has pate and he said no. The Banh Mi is just a sandwich without pate spread. The pork Banh Mi was no good. Bread was toasted but had the wrong flavor. Pork need more flavor. The more I ate the Banh Mi the less I liked it so Im giving it 1 star. I couldnt eat anymore so I snap a picture of what I left. Meal came out to $9.80. Their ice coffe is no cafe s.d.. Barely has the signature Vietnamese taste. Maybe they not using condensed milk? Tastes like a darker iced coffee. Verdict: I will not be returning. I feel really bad leaving a bad review because the staff was working their butt off. Next time Ill drive north a mile or 3 to Monterrey Park for Vietnamese.

Great place! Service was good and food was delicious! I had the spring rolls with no pork and a shrimp pho. Vegetables and sea food were very fresh. Parking lot is small but there is street parking. They also have a drive thru. Would definitely recommend and will be back ✌🏼

Incredible Pho broth. Didnt need to add anything at all to it, and Im usually asking for extra fish sauce and/or lime. The chicken in my Pho was also super tasty. I also ordered some fresh rolls (#37) but with pork instead of shrimp AND THEY WERE SO SO GOOD! I cant have hoisin so they gave me fish sauce with them. Just perfect! I live kind of far from here but Ill be happy to make a special trip out just to eat here.

Been working in East LA for a couple years now and thought I had to go to San Gabriel/Rosemead for some good Pho but I was wrong. Been eating pho for a couple decades now and this place keeps up with the locations in the SGV. Broth was delicious and great customer service from the ladies working up front. Will definitely come again soon as the weather starts to cool down

Most degrading experience from the owner. Apparently if you don’t dress to her standards or are white. Expect to be pushed off to the side and get a look from her and the staff like you are there to steal from them. But if you’re white, expect to be treated like family. Have to admit that the first time I was going to try this place, I passed on it. We gave it a chance today and so glad we did. Service was great, food was fresh and delicious and they had a great selection of food. The shrimp spring rolls were huge and really fresh, loved it! Fried rice was a bit salty but excellent. This will definitely be our go to for Pho on the Eastside.

Excellent as always. The broth in their pho is truly tasty. Ive been coming here for a few years and I have not been disappointed yet. Today we ordered pho, a banh mi, and spring rolls. The broth texture and temperature was on point, the noodles were velvety, the meat was tender and delicious. The meat in the banh mi was truly tasty, moist and spiced just right. The food is phenomenal. The prices are great. The service is good. The spring rolls have actual whole shrimp. Not cut in half and therea 2 of them in each roll. This place is ran by a vietnamese older couple.The location is pretty small. But can sit about 10 people inside and around 10-15 outside. But witht the to go window, you would think that youre at a burger place.I never would have thought to eat authentic vietnamese food in montebello. But im very glad i did. I also think you would enjoy it as much as i did too. Happy eating..

So this place is actually really good. They also have a drive-thru but it can be a little slow because of course its pho. Ive had the Taro Boba smoothie and it is delicious. Any rolls are pretty good too. And the guys at work get the grilled chicken. But I always stick with the rare steak pho. The broth is spot-on.

I ordered a Sandwich and watched 3 other tables that got seated after me, get their food. When I asked both waitresses that were sitting down, busy on their phones where my food was, I got a dirty look from the Latin waitress. This is one of my top favorite spots to eat at when I want to eat chicken pho. Great neat atmosphere and quick to serve. This place gets better every time, at first it didnt look so nice but now it looks cleaner. Aside from pho I really recommend the spring rolls they are so good and go great with pho(as a side) in my opinion. Ill always come get vietnamese iced coffee here, it taste strong but still great!

I had ordered beef brisket pho and ordered another pho and when I was eating the first one I found a piece of raw meat in the first and almost swallowed it but spit it out then I opened up the other pho and I found a small bag of raw meat with the cooked meat and the sad part was the bag had a hole in it and all the blood spilled out contaminating the cooked meat I called them back found they didnt listed it the raw meat on there menu and when the lady said u use broth to cook the raw meat!!? Never heard of any pho restaurant serve raw meat and they was lazy to throw the raw bag of meat in my food!! I wouldnt recommend anyone eating here!!!
