Its delicious and honestly bigger portions than I thought we would get. Ordered way more than we could actually eat, but everything was great.Service was lovely, everyone was helpful and nice.Just maybe the pork lettuce wraps; they are a very generous portion, but I feel the pork could be not as dry. It tastes very good, though.Definitely want to come back and try other stuff we didnt get to order

We ordered: kfc soy garlic, creamy rose spicy rice cake, kalbijjim, short rib stewFood: 4-5/5 depending on dishService: 3/5Ambiance: CasualValue: AverageThe best thing for me was the creamy rose spicy rice cake because it was unique and very flavorful (5/5). Feels like a white cream sauce pasta with gochujang flavor. Kfc was a 3/5 for me since the soy garlic flavor wasnt evenly marinated on the chicken. Some of the chicken didnt have much flavor at all. Crispiness and breading were decent to good. The kalbijjim is a 3.5/5. Compared to Daeho, the short rib is tougher to eat. Takes a lot more effort to clean the bone. Marinade is good, but Id prob just go to daeho instead for this dish. Still very tasty though!Biggest complaint is the Banchan. Only kimchi and radish whereas Id expect fish cake, potatoes, or other variety. Overall, the food was tasty and it’s a great Korean option for the bay. I would definitely come back again.

Wait is extremely long but the food is good. It doesnt feel very crowded inside but it does feel busy. Its difficult to find parking as the parking lot is pretty small so it would be a good idea to come early or find street parking.I ordered the Cabbage beef stew which I really enjoyed. The meat was tender and flavorful. The portion was really big and I was able to split it into two meals. They gave me my leftovers in a sealed container (think a tofu container) which I appreciated.Overall I will be returning if I am ever in the Oakland area!

I went to Moo Bong Ri with 3 other friends on the weekend. There were people waiting outside, but it only took us 15 minutes to get seated after joining their waitlist. Please note that they require the entire party to be present to be seated. The 4 of us got all the following items from their menu-1. Korean juice2. Korean fruit soda3. Chicken katsu4. Boneless soy garlic chicken (20 pcs.)5. Spicy short ribs with glass noodlesAll their food items were on the sweeter end. Some more than the others, so we had a lot of leftover items. The korean juice was stairght up sugar water. You could barely taste any flavor.Boneless soy garlic chicken was also very sweet. We didnt taste any garlic, and the chicken wasnt crispy. The spicy short ribs were also sweet with just a tiny bit of heat even though we ordered the regular spicy level. The $70 spicy short ribs dish is marketed for 2 people, but it can easily feed at least 3 people. The glass noodles were not good at all. They were all clumped together, and their texture made it really hard to swallow them. The meat on the bone was not as tender because it was really hard to get it off the bone. My friend had to resort to using hands instead of chopsticks. The dish honestly felt like a rip-off because all the short rib pieces were mostly bone with barley any meat on it.The chicken katsu was nothing special either. The service was fine. The staff was attentive. Its a small restaurant, so it felt a bit noisy, especially because tables were not that far apart. There is a small parking lot outside the restaurant, but finding parking in that lot can be tough as that lot is shared by other shops in that small complex area.

We arrived at an really late lunch hour, around 2:30pm, and the wait was still about 10mins. When we were seated the food took another 35-40mins to come out after we placed our orders. Thats why Im only giving it 4 stars but the food here was really good. We only ordered two items but they were large items meant for sharing. The beef was very tender but not quite fall off the bone tender as some other places make it. The flavor was definitely there and so was the spicy level. There is a mild option for those that dont handle spicy too well.Overall it was a great food experience even with the really long wait times.

My sister and I went looking for an amazing spot for Korean food and found it! I had the cold noodle dish with a few banchan and rice. The noodles were amazing with a really yummy sauce. Spice levels were just right too! My sister had the acorn noodles in beef broth and raved about it. I would have loved to see some veggie broth options because there were several soups I would have liked to try. Also, a few more banchan like sweet potatoes and greens would have been welcome. The kimchi was amazing though and I couldn’t get enough of the radishes! Sadly there is no vegetarian menu and you’d need to be pescatarian to eat the dish I had. But this seems to be a meat lovers delight! I always know I am eating somewhere legit when the local community is popping in and out and hanging out outside chatting. This is definitely that spot! I think parking could be an issue for dinner and weekends. We came on a weekday lunch and had no issues. Overall, this was a great find and satisfied our cravings!

I read the reviews and saw the IG posts pushed these past few weeks, thought i try it while in Oakland. What dafuq was that? The 1 PC of the seven pieces of chicken i ate, tasted like wood and looked old -old and unidentifiable. Awful. No flavor, not even salt. Even the oil it was fried in tasted old. Dont be fooled by the crispy skin look. Expensive and well...nasty. I tossed the other 6 pieces.

Bean sprout soup was really good and lots of bean sprouts in the soup. Lady gave me an extra lollipop at the end.Pork rib soup was perfectly seasoned with a hearty addition of greens and savory, juicy pork ribs. The pork ribs were slightly difficult to debone — be prepared for an arm workout! 💪This restaurant is so ahead in evolutionary fitness, they think 3 steps ahead and provide you with the tools you need to conquer your meal (like a bowl for ur bone or mini bowls)

This place falls a bit below my expectations. While the pork back ribs are good, the soup accompanying them is a bit lackluster, missing the flavorful punch I was hoping for. Its not in the fantastic range, and I find the overall experience to be just okay.

Our food took about 30 minutes to come out. We went on a slower Thursday afternoon for reference. The sides dishes were really good and the servers were nice. The rest of the meal was pretty bland and the rice that we were served tasted old.
