Extremely affordable in the off season the rooms were nice and clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly
Excellent value for location! Clean; great fridge/freezer in our larger corner room (don’t think that size fridge is in other rooms).
I usually stay a couple blocks from the beach but decided to pay extra as the motel is steps from the beach. I will not stay here again. The first room I was given was not cleaned and the cleaning crew had left for the day. Most rooms have at least a table where a person can set up their computer and eat. Not this room. The ceiling fan wouldn’t turn off so had to turn on the heat as I was cold. The tv only had Roku channels (old episodes of shows) no satellite or cable tv. So I couldn’t watch the local news or abc. NBC or cbs.
Everything was good. The reason why service was a three because the lady that worked in the morning 6-3-23 the young lady. She went out of her way to be rude. I understand being a management or a worker, but going out of your way to be rude was unnecessary. I don’t know her name but I believe she was the only Mexican girl working that day but the other 2 ladies they made up for her
No complaints. I might think twice about staying here with younger children. Didnt feel all that safe for youngsters ...
Shower wouldn’t push out warm water. Door needed to be forced shut or it wouldn’t close. The a/c doesn’t push out cool air
Its a Motel 6, It was exactly as expected a clean and comfortable room. This motel had the added bonus of being a block for the beach and some of the rooms have a ocean view.
I wasn’t sure about this stay at first it was last minute and the staff was so good hospitality 10/10 me and my husband will book the suite next time we loved our stay

Cheapest hotel within walking distance of the beach. Walking distance is about 3 minutes from the hotel to the beach/pier. One thing is the parking lot has extremely small parking spaces. Do not bring a car that you do not want someone else to touch. Friendly staff and even has a patio where you can enjoy your lunch.
Rooms were clean and close to shopping and restaurants. The beds were comfortable and the front desk staff was very nice and helpful! Couple of things…. I wish mote 6 would put microwaves and coffee makers in their rooms!
Its a motel 6 room so its no frills but clean big bathroom & actually a really nice picture on the TV. They have this big circular patio on the second floor that Id love to have a BBQ on. The walk to the beach is about as short as the get. The ladies on the clock were helpful and friendly as can be the coffee the brewed up ( lol the insisted it was just foldgers reg. brew) was worth mentioning in the review awesome. Ill go right there again when I go back. 100% good experience
I’ll never stay here again! It’s a mess! And reserved two bed and got charged for a two bed and only got one bed! Had to fight and argue with customer service due my room checked in with someone else.

Victor in the front office was so friendly and accommodating, he is the bright star of this property. Other than the location being so close to the beach, this property doesnt offer much else. Serious upgrades need to be done...and the cleaning products are extremely strong smelling, my clothes reeked the next day and the intensity of it in the office made me nauseous. Also the bathroom window (we were ground level) had no security and gave total access to the room with no screen and the lock being so far back on the track the window itself couldve been tilted and taken out...I had to put a bottle of hairspray in the track to keep it locked. We would most likely not return.
I have a really hard time deciding on this review. The location is amazing, the staff has always been very accommodating and the price is fair. There are a few downsides to the stay, the building is in some dire need of updates, the T.V’s are so worn out the picture quality is literally un-watchable, the furniture is very worn, the toilet was broken, the shower is only big enough for a child to use. If you are looking for a budget motel close to all of the activities that Pismo Beach has to offer this should be in your wheelhouse. If you’re looking for a more refined experience be prepared to spend at least 5x as much on your stay. My stay was from Wednesday,September,14 through Sunday, September,18th and the total cost was $815. This is pretty expensive for such inadequate accommodations. With the money this property has made over the years it would be a no-brainer to give it a fresh makeover. It would definitely be in your Best interest to keep repeat customers
We came up for a church outing on a weekend. We arrived a little early before check in time. Stephanie was very kind and did what she could and got us in a room do to having a fussy baby with us. Rooms were clean and just steps away from the beach and all the main stores near Pismo Beach!
Location was great and the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The room was basic with no frills but clean, and I always appreciate the morning coffee and that they allow my small well-behaved dog to stay without added cost. I would definitely stay here again.

Weve stayed there 3 times. The rooms our vintage but that being said they are VERY CLEAN staff is very nice too. Location perfect for for us. They always treat us well.

Amy at the front desk was amazing to my Husband and I. She was warm and friendly and super easy to talk to. The room was smallish but really cozy and comfy. Perfect for the price and awesome hospitality! 10/10 would recommend this Motel 6!!
I wish I could leave a good review but unfortunately can’t. We accidentally left one of our pieces of luggage at the hotel and discovered that within hours. I called four hours after leaving, only to get the run around. I know for a FACT it was left and I guarantee it was stolen. Also, the A/C doesn’t work, the sink backs up black mud and the other people who live (yes, LIVE there) were BEYOND rude. The place also REAKS of marijuana. Do not stay here.
Ocean views with low prices. Needs are comfortable, no frills. Clean sheets and clean surfaces.Yes, done people have complained about a little rust on things. Its a hotel a half block from the ocean and one of the cheapest around. Im not sure theyre maintenance budget matches a Marriott.Ill take a clean, cheap room for the experience of being so close to the beach, and the family that runs it are very helpful, polite, and welcoming.
BE CAREFUL staying.. Laurie the front desk had made random charges on my account and doesnt say anything about it. After checking-in I noticed these charges I went back to her and asked what happened she told me she didnt know it show on my account that quick. I was in shock by her responses and she had the nerve to tell meI dont know why your so upset I asked to speak to the manager she said the owner wasnt in so I asked for their number and was told he call me. So I left back to my room she actually called me and said she seen the random charges I was talking about I then told her to not touch anything after eating dinner with my family Id come to her to show her what charges were on my account so it could get fixed she understood. Right after getting off the phone she messed with my accounts again I see her debit things credit things so I called her again told her not to touch my account Im not done eating with my family I did tell her if she keeps messing with my account Id have to call the cops and her response again as I should another shocking response from Laurie. I had to lock my account so no other charges were made, just a nightmare. Laurie doesnt listen not sure what she thought she was doing, bad customer service, I wouldnt trust her with my card ever. Until this day I still have a charge that needs to be refunded I actually called her yesterday about it and her response was the owner is in India he has my information. I will never stay here EVER! I hope the owner watches his video cameras to see what happened when dealing with Laurie shes unprofessional and doesnt know what shes doing. If the owner reads this message please retrain her she needs help and refund me back my money or contact me its not hard you have my information from what Laurie said. I love pismo and will never stay here again it was our 1st time to this motel and last.
We were supposed to have a microwave in our room but we didnt, no air conditioning or cooler, no coffee maker. The beds were good!The office is totally non existent its locked & looks like its used for storage! You check in through a little window& dont try & check in early because nobody is there until 3 pm!That night we needed ice, but the machine was broken & looks like its been that way a very long time!The best thing was we were upstairs over the office, there was a table & chairs where we had a great view of the beach! It was the best time out there!
The place has a great location and friendly staff.The room #103 was screaming for remodeling.The mattress had a few springs showing out, covered from the sheet. With a bit of luck, you can avoid hurting your legs, but not always.The front door freely allows the smoke from smoking outside neighbors to enter the room, because, it is an inch above the floor. The hinges are rusty,. The wall plate of the air conditioner/heater is covered with dust.Everything in the bathroom has rust. The bathroom window easily goes off the frame while opening/closing. The water flow depends on the neighbors, using it at the same time. There are broken tiles in the bathroom.It is a pet friendly motel, so be aware of barking dogs.Otherwise, if you like people laying on the bench next to your room while smoking, you will be perfectly fine. As well, as smokers, who like to listen to music at 2am while smoking outside...Never Motel 6 again, unless is fully remodeled, and smoking is prohibited on the territory of the motel.
I feel like I pretty much just paid over $280 for location, as the room and experience were horrible.First of all, check in wasnt until 4:00! I have never had a hotel have such a late check in time, and I travel very frequently. I had requested an upstairs room at reservation. When we got there the staff gave us a downstairs room, which we opened to see if it would be satisfactory. All the windows were open. Not open curtains, actual open windows. The window in the bathroom was even stuck open! Went back to the front desk and reported the issues (would like upstairs, as requested and window issues). Desk clerk informed me that for the upstairs room it would be another hour to hour-and-a-half to get it cleaned and ready. (That would take us to 5-5:30 pm, mind you.) The clerk then had me sign a computer signature pad saying that she needed my signature to give me a parking pass to keep my car in the parking lot while we waited. When we finally got our requested room, one light bulb was out, the shower floor was bowed up, the fridge was from the 80s at minimum and made horrible noises all night. The kitchen wall had stained brown splatter all over the white paint. The table was so sticky that we actually had to peel my sons book off of it. Such a disappointing stay. In the morning, at 7:30, when I was going back and forth packing things back into our car, the door rejected the key card! Several times! I went back to the desk clerk, who had to program us a new key. On our way back to our room, we got into a conversation with another guest who says hes stayed there a few times and the key cards always do that! What!?! Why has it not been addressed!?! Finally, upon check out, I was charged an additional $40 for a room upgrade. I was outraged.In short, the location and friendly staff are the only positives about this property. Severely dissatisfied and will not recommend this property. I do not see any value for what was paid.
My wife and I booked our accommodations here as we were attending a concert in Avila Beach that evening. We happened to arrive an hour before check in (3:00pm) and was able to. They instructed to come back in an hour to pick up keys. We then got something to eat and returned 4:30pm to find out our room wasnt ready yet. Ive worked in the hotel industry business for 5 years, and understand these things happen. We then waited in the parking lot for an hour and a half, missing the beginning of the concert entirely. There was no phone call or any communication that the room was ready. I took it upon myself to ask. The front desk agent physically ran and checked before finally giving me my keys. They were friendly, just seemed like the communication was off. Other than this, I would recommend due to location and price.
This Motel 6 has a good location, walk to the beach. The staff could not be nicer. It needs a really good cleaning and some basic maintenance. i.e.ice machine not working, toilet troubles, no plugs for sinks or tubs.So if you just want to sleep a few hours and take a shower, this place is fine
This Motel 6 was previously another hotel. It is a vintage building but it is fairly clean considering its age. Great staff, courteous, helpful and accommodating. Great location! My only comment on the facility is that some money needs to be put into updating/replacing some things in the rooms. The electric outlets wont hold a plug...anything we plugged in kept falling out. The TV would flicker off and on while we tried to plug in to that outlet because it was one of two outlets we could find in the room. The light switch by the door didnt seem to work anything and we had to step up on the bed to turn on the ceiling fan light. Carpet could use a cleaning. The table in the room was sticky on the edges from age and use; it was adequate as a table but needed replacing. The bathroom curtain may have been clean but it was extremely old and faded with bleach stains. None of these items will stop us from staying again but I just think a little bit of updating would go a long way to making your patrons stays nicer.
My mother and I stayed two weeks ago for a night. When we first arrived there was no one in the front office and no one answered the bell when we rung it so we called and of course there was no answer. We called HQ and all they could do was transfer the call to the site. I went outside to see if I could find someone to help and saw that the manager was over seeing some of the renovations. He immediately came to assist us. Jared the manager was very helpful and friendly. Our reservation was for an upstairs room which would have been very hard for my mom going up and down the stairs so Jared not only gave us a room on the bottom floor but he upgraded us to a bigger room. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the beds were in two separate rooms which were pretty spacious. The room itself had been updated in decor and was very clean. Check in time was 4pm but Jared let us check in early at no additional charge. Our stay was delightful and the only issue we had was that at 8am the next morning they were already out of coffee, that and we would have had to pay for it had there been any. I would recommend staying here any day! Although the view of the beach has been altered because of the newer builds its still a great place to stay. The area was well lit and patrolled often by the local police, we felt safe. You cant beat the location either as we walked every where and it was only a short walk to the restaurants and beach. The parking was free so that was a big help too. We hated having to leave, both my mother and I will absolutely be back!!!
Positives:Place is within walking distance of all the major shops on the pismo strip as well as a 30 second walk from the beach. Room was clean and we had plenty of towels. Room had a flat screen smart tv which was an unexpected plus. Front desk was very kind and helpful props to them especially since they were very busy when I visited.Negatives:Remote to turn on the TV and switch inputs did not work meaning I could not watch tv until the remote was reprogrammed. I manually reprogrammed the remote to get it to work with the tv but someone who does not know or look up how to do this would have to have the front desk come do it if they want to watch any tv.Finding parking in the parking lot was tough at first, but a plus side is that once I found a spot I did not need to move for the duration of my stay because mostly everything is in walking distance.Waited ~30 minutes in line to check in. Checked in on a Friday before a holiday weekend so some wait is somewhat understandable.Note on the wait time: I timed how long it took for me to get my room key once it was my turn at the front desk and it only took ~7 min once it was my turn. Seems likely that the line moved slow due to the people in front of me not having a credit card to put on file or because they had problems with their reservation, not completely the front desks fault.Closing thoughts:Would stay here again. Staff is friendly. Room was clean and well furnished. Price is solid for being so close to everything.
Our stay was very pleasant. We asked for an upgrade when we checked in as the room was too small for 4 adults. The nice young man was able to get us into a 2 queen suite. It was much bigger & roomier. The only downside was that we did not have a working light above our door. We were down a hallway, so it was dark going to our room. And we had to wait until 8am for the office to open so we could get coffee. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend!
Our stay here was horrible. Even though we let them know we were coming with an infant, they gave us a room with a broken heater. So we had no heat. The people in the room next to us were smoking weed half the night and the smell was leaking into our room because the windows didnt shut and seal properly. For the price they charged us, I expected better.
No heater..they gave us a heater which wasnt sufficient for size of room (108) no hot water for sink..both knobs run cold water only..got no sleep was too cold.
For the price I paid for the room, it was very nice. The bed was clean and the sheets were soft. The room was pretty clean too. There was no air conditioning but if you open the windows the beach air cools the room off. Some of the TV channels didnt work, which was not fun, and there is very limited parking. Being so close to the beach was great though, and if the price stays the same Ill stay here every year for memorial day weekend.
Talk about staying close to the beach!!! Two minutes from room to water!! Our room was great; the updated rooms fit into the Motel 6 mold; laminate floors, and an IKEA kind of feel. Great for us because we have two dogs and there are no smells left from previous people.The staff was awesome!! Thanks for a great stay!
So close to everything. The hotel is older but who cares, mine was very clean and disinfected. I didnt come here to sleep, I came for the ocean nice weather, great food, and I was surrounded with all of this. I will always stay here. Its a great place to stay. Leave your windows open and let the fresh air in, and sleep like a baby
When I arrived in from a long drive I expressed my concern about my room. I was supposed to have and ocean view. My door and window was not facing the ocean. I didnt have the ocean view and he kept telling me I did and what more did I want because I was given a king size bed. like having the king was going to make up for misleading me to believe that I would have a ocean view. He yelled at me in front of my kids and made me cry when he threaten to not rent me a room at all because I was not happy. He saw I had kids with me, needed to rest and it was late in the day with no time to find another room. He used his power of being the general manager to treat me badly and tell me take it or leave it. It was the worst experience. The price was great but the service was so bad. Please be prepared to be mistreated.
The heater didnt work. As for tv the receptionist tried. So my room had no heat, no TV, Im glad they tried to improvise but it didnt work.
Worse experience of my life. I booked my stay with the front desk. Confirmed my stay a couple days before coming into town. I arrived to check in and turned out my reservation had been canceled. No one called me or informed me that my hotel room was going to be cancelled. To top that off they had the audacity to charge me for the hotel room that I never stayed at. Tried contacting front office that whole weekend I was in town and never heard back regarding my refund or why they had canceled my reservation without my consent. I would not recommend booking with them.
We enjoyed our stay. Clean rooms, great customer service. Very close to everything walking distance. I really appreciate that they helped me with my booking. Booked for the wrong day and they fixed everything at no extra cost. Very respectful would definitely be here again.
Great location near the beach and places to eat and shop....rooms are small but clean. The girls in the office were so nice. I stayed 2 nights and I loved it and the price was grat....make sure to take your shampoo.
First I will go with the pros: The room was clean and quite spacious. The shower had decent water pressure. Now for the cons: The bed was quite stiff, only one outlet in the second bedroom, walls are extremely thin, the wifi password we were given did not work and the parking is a huge hassle.
This is my favorite Motel 6 out of the ones that I have visited, and Ive had many stays with Motel 6 since you guys are so pet friendly. There was damage to the front door frame in the room that made it seem like someone had tried to break in, and that worried me a little, but otherwise I liked the room just fine. There were 2 TV remotes in the room. Only one of them worked to turn the TV off and on or adjust the volume, and did not work for anything else. Neither remote worked to change channels. With one of the remotes you had to go through the TV guide and select a channel from there. A message on the screen said the buttons were not programmed. The fan/AC unit was very old and did not work at all. At least there was a ceiling fan in the room. Otherwise, I really liked this room and my stay there was peaceful and pleasant.
Cons: no a/c in room, just a ceiling fan, had to keep front windows opened and the room was still hot. fridge was extremely small and old and the freezer part was covered in ice; the door wouldnt even shut so we couldnt put anything in it. large clear window in the bathroom made showering uncomfortable.Pros: room looked remodeled; new floor was nice, beds were on par for motel 6, room was spacious. very close to the ocean and all the main shopping stores. staff was very friendly. lobby looked remodeled and was very nice*UPDATE* tried it again, was very pleased. room was very big, beds were great, fridge was newer and big. friendly staff, ive never had a problem. best deal for as close to the beach as it is. would give 3.5 stars now.
Large family next door and I had been driving all day. Wanted and needed a quiet space and respectfully asked if I could be moved somewhere else. Had *zero* problem relocating me and asked no questions. Very friendly :) and the beach is basically at your doorstep. Great location. ❤️
For the price you cannot beat this location. We had stayed at this location when it was another company and he definitely enjoyed our stay and the beautiful view that it once had. Since Motel 6 has taken over they have remodeled and made the location a bit more up-to-date and clean. The biggest downside I have found so far is that there is a newer Hotel built just in front of Motel 6 blocking the view of the ocean so we will definitely be finding a new location next time.
Great little motel by the beach! Great beach view and you can hear the waves crashing at night. 2 minute walk to the beach or a handful of great places to eat or little stores to shop. The rooms were very clean and well taken care of, and the staff at the front desk were super cool and made the whole experience awesome from the beginning. Parking is a little tight at the motel, but there is also very close parking around the corner or on the curb, which is great for overnight as long as you remember to keep an eye during the day since there is a 3 hour limit on the street. Thank you Motel 6 staff for making this an easy-going family vacation for us!!
The staff was very nice. The room was in bad shape, especially the bathroom. Black mold in the shower, cracked sharp tile. The shower was terribly small, sprayer was down so low you have to bend down to wash your hair. Water was unable to regulate hot and cold. Toilet did not flush properly. The floors had not been mopped. I took a hand towel, wet it down and mopped the filthy floor. Nice location, horribly deteriorated hotel. Would never stay here again.
Less than half a block to the sandy beach beauty. Rooms are spacious and clean, front desk was wonderful at this location and I stayed 2 days at a discount last minute rate for 3 adults...rooms are antique but beds were new and comfy..loved the aged room...some may not but I loved it..fridge in room.nicw flat screen..great beds..and they also have a deck if you want to watch the sun go down. Thanks for the best 2 nights this location rocks.
A/C is tiny and dated, doesnt cool the room its just a fan which we have to open the windows for some fresh air and rooms of drunken neighbors are partying at our door, ceiling fan is loud woke me up, no shampoo or conditioner! Just soap, WiFi doesnt work, remote control doesnt work, very dated bathroom and faucets, clogged toilet! for the price should be updated, payed $270 for one night so is not a deal as they advertise.Positive: very close to the beach and boardwalk, clean and good size room.Not coming back.
The location is amazing, right on the beach and just a block all the shops and splash cafe. The staff was very friendly, the front desk clerk, Jorden, even helped me fix my laptop so i could finish my work. The beds werent great but werent bad. I was worried not being able to have ac at the beach was going to be a problem, but by early evening my room was a comfortable temperature and i was enjoying a beautiful sunset while sitting on the bed. Would definitely recommend to friends
Positive: Location is close to beach and downtown. Negative: Overnight mist caused wooden stairs to be very slippery; suggest some sort of non-slip surface/application be applied to stair treads.
Location cant be beat. Loved the easy walk to the beach, the pier area restaurants and shops. No air conditioning and the loud people all night meant very little sleep. Couldnt close the window because we needed the air, people were loud at the hotel, in the street, in the parking lot... All night. Will not stay here again. The location is awesome, just got to spend more money to stay somewhere quieter with air conditioning.
The first red flag should have been the fact that the room is non-refundable. The room smelled like a$$. The toilet kept clogging and the office staff was nice enough to lend me a plunger. Housekeeping neglected to change my sheets the entire three nights I was there. The hotel staff as well a many of the patrons smoke pot and cigarettes, preventing you from opening your windows. This place is just another seedy party hotel. Do yourself a favor and read all of the most recent negative reviews about this place before booking. If you cant afford anything else just sleep in your car.
Do not stay here. We checked in and within 10 minutes had out credit card tried to be charged 2 more times at the hotel! Once for over $1200. Someone there is trying to steal card info. Then at checkout the guy said we were booked 2 more nights that I did not book.
Friendly staff was all this place had going for it. It was in disrepair...burnt out lights, non functioning smoke detector, broken/lose tile in bathroom, LARGE water damage stain in ceiling....and dirty... grout hadnt been cleaned in years, dirty baseboards, dirty drains, bedding had hairs on it and stains/damage. ONLY stayed overnight because driving would have been dangerous as I was too tired. VERY disappointing.
I received calls from reception, which i appreciate to ensure i was keeping my room. But although i arrived after 8pm the day of the reservation i had no soap or towels of any kind in the room. It was my first time going there with my boyfriend and i truly believed it would of been a magical event being so close to the water. Although it was only towels that were an issue i had to walk all the way to the reception to get them. I hope that in the future we can have a better outcome.
Very disrespectful manager/owner, doesnt know how to talk or communicate with his guest ! Went to talk with him and his response was, sorry theres nothing I can do and wouldnt want to help with the situation . On our day 2, guest checked in next to us and heater didnt turn on, older lady was cold so was given a small heater, plugged in and power in our room and their room powered off . Went down to complain and told then well Im sorry we have to move u rooms the heater shorted the room thats why I was trying to give you a different room as if he told them the heater doesnt work.Would NOT recommend staying here.
Great location. Restaurants and shopping are around the corner. Ocean view from the top floor. There is no air conditioner. The ceiling fan didnt help the excessive heat. The control remotes only had one pair of batteries.
Love this place! It is close to the pier, to local restaurants and bars and has a perfect price range. There are some super fancy, super expensive places in Pismo, but really Motel 6 on Main street will have my business going forward. The bed was super comfortable, the room was clean! Had an ocean view and a mini-fridge. Seriously, dont let the name (or old reputation) scare you!! This place was perfect!!!
The room was very basic but clean. Not much lightning. I was shocked that there wasnt a coffee maker. Seems like that would be common in any motel. The shower was awful! It either scalded you or sprayed freezing water. It went back and forth like that for the duration. I would think that could be dangerous for a small child or older person. We also had multiple towels that were stained. It was very gross. I will say the people working there we very friendly.
Accomodated me...when I had the wrong location. So they got me a room king size bed ..just no a.c it was a bit noisy and the water pressure was so low. The floor was filthy because my feet were getting black on the bottom from walking in there..also the top of the shelfs were dusty i ran my finger across the top and wow my finger was full of dust. I love how close the place is to the beach..the staff super friendly.. i wish they had a curtain in the bathroom window.I will stay again because of the Accomodation..and friendliness of staff Also wish the ice machine was working. THE T.V WAS HARD TO SET UP i had to call someone to come help me...But bottom line I will stay there again...Its all about the accomodating me in time of need. 💛
This will be the spot I check in to first when I vacation there. Check in was easy fast & friendly. The room was perfect fridge & microwave is all u need when the ocean is right there at your feet.
This is by by far the nicest Motel 6 Ive stayed at. Room was large and well laid out. Although there were some familiar Motel 6 design elements, it avoided the cookie cutter feel and was quite charming. The only think I would change is to add a lamp by the bed, but this is a quibble. Add a stove and Id live in it.In addition, the staff were helpful and gracious, and, dare I say, kind (which did not diminish their professionalism a bit). How refreshing. This is what I imagine the highest end hotels staff would be like.Of course, location location location. The value is outstanding.

For those who go there...pull out for shower handle...might need both hands, but love the water pressure they have now and really like the improvements they have made in each room.💖😃
Great place to stay for the price. The view from room 218 is nice. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We checked in after the 9pm check in time but the concierge called to make sure we were coming still and was very nice about us being late. Told us it was no problem at all it was here anyway. We would stay here again without hesitation.
No Shampoo; Television was small and not very clear picture with off colors on Westinghouse unit. No Wall Pictures, which was unusual. Ceiling fan was very poor and offered little air circulation. Air circulation was impotant as room smelled like someone sprayed pine-sol cleaning liquid out of a hose. Luckily we brought our own fan. Location and price were great and front office people were VERY kind and friendly. Room seemed very clean, but the smell was impossible to overlook.
We missed our usual room #18. The room (#28) we were in was nice but no comparison to #18. You should put a hook for towels on the bathroom door. Housekeeping (Veronica) was absolutely wonderful, as she is every year! This is a wonderful place to stay with the beach being so close. It is also a good value. We have stayed at this motel at least 10 times in the last 17 years.
We are remodeling an old cabin on the Central Coast and have found the Motel 6 to be the very best value. This particular Motel 6 was clean, comfortable and all around great. There was a young lady behind the desk when we stayed that could not have been more accommodating or any sweeter! I am sorry I dont recall her name. We will definitely be back!
This is our choice of all the motels in Pismo Beach. Free parking and walking distance to all we need. The motel staff went above and beyond the call when it came to service. Anything that we reported as being wrong was corrected immediately. I gave a 9 on room condition as the outlet in the bathroom did not work. Within just a few minutes of reporting it the staff came and replaced the outlet. We look forward to staying at this Motel 6 whenever we go to Pismo. A big THANKS to all the staff that made this stay sooo enjoyable. Again we look forward to seeing you again.
Other than it being really close to the beach this motel was so DIRTY the walls looked really grimey inside and I don’t understand why when their lobby looked really cleaned. Why couldn’t the room ? The floors were like if they don’t ever mop.Pillow cases and sheet had a type of stains but the motel wanted to charge me $50 cause my temporary hair dye “stained” their towels like why charge me that if you’re not gonna replace them the way they didn’t replace the pillow cases and sheets . What a joke ! Wasn’t worth my stay at alll. I want my money back cause if they clean their towels with bleach it comes out like how it does with my own towels .DONT STAY AT THIS LOCATION IF YOU HAVE COLORED HAIR !!!
What I find on the door when I come out of my room next to office. Ring door bell that is ringing nonstop because after 9PM you have a reservation and you expect to be able to get in, no the window wasn’t open Listened to a “Ring” door bell outside my door for 45 min & no answer No one answered the phone either. Got someone to the window while I’m on the phone with corporate wanting my $ back. They can’t, I’ve already checked in and lobby shows 24 hours. Smart way to make money w/ minimal work on owners part. Motel6 was very polite but the office staff was rude and would do nothing but check me out. No refund. This has been the WORST experience at a hotel I’ve ever had! Room tiny & shared wall next to bed w/ the other side of office I heard EVERYTHING. Now here it is after 10PM, I’m out a room and money.
This was our 2nd time staying here and we LOVE it! This will be a tradition for our family to visit every year for vacation. We were upgraded both times to the most perfect room - 2 bedrooms and a twin bed in living room for mom....fits us perfectly! Hoping to get this same room every year! And best part of all, its right on the beach! So its very easy to walk back and forth to beach & room. Best Motel 6 and Best location EVER! Drove 6 hours to visit this specific hotel/location.... 100% worth it!
Great location near downtown Pismo Beach. It was easy to get around and head to the beach. The room was pleasant, but the AC didnt turn on, and the shower drain was clogged with other guests hair. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the high speed free wifi.
Location is perfect. Close to Harrys, Splash Cafe, Mos and other places to eat and drink. Additionally, its only a half block from the beach. Room rates are low.The staff is VERY polite and helpful. Definitely 5 stars, but the property could use a little TLC. I typically dont stay at Motel 6, so maybe this is a get what you pay for situation, but nonetheless, it seems some updating of property is in order...
We paid extra for a jacousy tub which had no plug to plug the water up so we could use the jacousy after a day of walking on the beach. I went to the small hole to talk to the office through and rang the bell 10 times and noone was there. We had to plug it with a wash rag. The bed was so hard we both couldnt sleep. I had to take 4 benadryl to fall asleep and woke up with real bad neck and back pain. When we booked this we tried calling like 8 times but they wouldnt answer. So we booked online. We should have known by that, that it wasnt going to be a good experiance. We paid for two days and I really am not looking forward to another night here. The room isnt even big enough for a big bed. The bathroom has the mini fridge in it and the room and bathroom isnt even half as big as our room at home. I only rated this two stars because the tv and the jacousy did actually work. Sure it is walking distance from our favorite restaurand and the pier and beach but next time we will not be coming here. I strongly urge you not to come here.
The location was perfect.The room was dated, but still felt comfortable and size was nice, good bathroom size but not a fan of the rain shower head.Lacked in the internet, while it did come with free wifi it was so weak it kept disconnecting, which made my nightly routine of a movie on the tablet as background noise nonexistent.But despite those little drawbacks I would definitely stay again.
The manager and staff at this Motel 6 couldnt be more accommodating! The facility is clean even though it is an older motel. We use this Motel 6 exclusively because of the great customer service! What a good value considering the proximity to the ocean! This manager and his staff should be acknowledged for a job well done!
Excellent location one block from the pier and beach. Many places to eat within two or three blocks. Building is old, but fairly well maintained. The heater in the room was not functioning, so manager brought a portable electric unit. Nice to have wifi, other Motel6 I stayed in didnt have it.
Not the Ritz but fine for what I needed. Renovated bathroom with newer fixtures; bed and pillows were decent - I have definitely slept on worse (or tried to). Negatives for no shampoo, TV remote not working, TV only having broadcast channels. Positives for new cardkey door locks, security lighting and reasonably priced soda machine. Very central location with easy walk to shops & restaurants
The room was clean and stocked as normal. The little heater didnt do anything, though, and there are no heavy blankets so its not great for the winter.The real problem is the complete lack of soundproofing. I could clearly hear my neighbours conversation all night while they stayed away drinking and smoking pot (at one time they dropped the pipe and called party foul.) I called the front desk several times but whoever was on night duty must have been sleeping because they never picked up.Im about to check out right now and I can still hear them talking, every word and cough crystal clear. 🙄 Not a good hotel if you plan on sleeping
Stayed here last night, $300 room with no ac, the ceiling fan did not work well either😒 and they have BED BUGS.. oh I should also mention someone tried to open my door at 10:50pm at night, did not feel safe with my kids!! I actually felt safer in Fresno than I did here…And only 1 out of 2 beds could see the tv… THIS HOTEL IS TRASH
Terrible customer service . Booked Oceanview room queen bed jacuzzi tub microwave. When arrived said that room wasnt available even though I showed my booking reservation. Ended up with no ocean view no microwave jacuzzi tub didnt work. Around 9 pm a party started in parking lot around 11 pm called office to complain never got a response . Ended up calling cops at 1 am to break up party . My recommendation is to never stay at this motel 6 in pismo on main st. Worst experience ever . Oh and they tried charging us a cleaning fee for having dog hair on floor . It is a dog friendly hotel with no dog fees . Very shady place and management.
Location is good. They must have bought it not that long ago and they need to hurry up and fix it like a motel 6 should be. The bathroom was on the stained side. The stares to go up were scary. Im over weight and it sounded like they were going to break. My wife is a slender woman and some creaked on her. Staff was nice. A GREAT Restaurant in walking distance was the Crab Shack. A MUST GO! Great Food and Great Service!

So the first room we stayed in king bed, hottub, with view, it was SO PERFECT. My girlfriend and i enjoyed it so much.. we enjoyed our stay so much we stayed for 3 days . The manager/owner is amazing . Very very respectful, he works with you most definitely will be going again. As a matter of fact already booked my stay for july becausee THEY STAY GETTING SOLD OUT
The staff was very nice n friendly. We were given a room that wasnt comfortable n it was too warm with no ac. They moved us to a bigger n better room. He brought us a fan.It was a little pricey but worth it since we have been customers since it was the ocean breeze inn. Its one motel we will continue using. My only suggest is, update the rooms with ac, place more towels in the bathroom, have a clock n or a phone in the rooms.Thank you,Mrs. Carl Gardner
So grateful to have a clean, comfortable, pet friendly and affordable place to stay right near the beach! Desk staff was friendly and efficient, she called me late in the afternoon and had my paperwork all printed when I arrived. Lots of good places to eat nearby too.
I would never stay at this hotel again it was dirty no lights in main room the ceiling fan cords were broke so I couldnt turn fan off was cold and heater didnt work when I explained this to office was told oh ill just give you an extra blanket then I asked for a refund 20 mins after checking in was told no refunds for any reason. Our door had been kicked in previously and never really fixed no smoke alarm either. I took pictures of everything as well. I would not have paid 20 a night let alone the 550 I had to pay and was refused a refund on.

Me my husband and our 4 kids just stayed here for 3 days. Tha rooms are very roomy and comfortable. We were surprised to have a mini fridge in our room. They had good wifi and good cable plenty of cartoon channels for my kids to watch before bed. Staff was friendly and we were able to check in early. Our favorite part was we were in walking distance of EVERYTHING. We came and went all day and night onto tha beach and never had to move our car. Only down side is parking lot is very small parking spaces are very tight but it wasnt too bad of a problem. Overall we had a nice stay and would reccomend this motel 6.
This was the last time we will stay at Motel 6. I was charged 179.00 for this room. You should be ashamed!! The door did not have any weather stripping and the light from outside shined in all night. The fan was pushed up between two beams so there was no air being pushed down because of the beams, and yes tried it in both directions. We spilled some water and wiped it up, the towel was black. Those floors have not been moped in a long time. The loose toilet seat was the best surprise. There is no way a corporate head of Motel 6 could stay here, and feel that it was worth the money, that is if they had to pay. You can leave the light on but my family will never stop there again.
Location is excellent - loved my view = room 21, loved that I was right there on the beach and in the heart of townpeople smoking outside was bad because it was hot and there was no air conditioning (thank goodness for the fan above the bed) so my door and windows were open and the smoke bothers me a lot. I like my windows and door open anyway, so that was a bummerthe hotel is cute with the seats outside and the patiomy shower did not work so I continued to be smelly as it was the hottest day of the year that I stayed there.I wanted to stay another night but that was a friday night and the room went up $100 which I think is too much, especially if you have been there the night before, plus I really needed a shower
Spend the extra $20-40 on a better hotel. The bathroom had pubes all over, the cleaning staff did an awful job, we left an expensive item in the room and it was stolen by the staff and not returned. The television remote has no option to change input and the buttons are blocked on the tv so you cannot use personal electronics on it. The windows and walls are very thin so youll hear everything all night long from drunks coming home all hours walking on the street near the hotel to neighbors televisions 2 rooms down. The beds are bottom of the line cheapest you can buy, so if you like firm springy beds this is the place for you.
Beds are hard, pillows pathetic, bathroom is fine but the towels are like sandpaper. All of which I would be fine with if they had air conditioning like the website said.Basically its clean and everything is in good repair but if its hot dont stay.
The floors were filthy (sand and rolled up dirt) even though there was a very overwhelming smell of floor cleaner or some cleaning fluid in the room. The WiFi barely worked and there were flies in our room that wouldnt go away.I dont really care about extra amenities, we were just booking a place to get a good sleep for the night. But this place failed in that basic function - the flies, the dirt, and the smell made it impossible.
Worst place ever stay for two days after when returning back from beach there was No parking what so ever, even though everyone was requested to obtain a parking permit.Both rooms I saw were in very bad conditions, smell dirty, ceiling fans were full of dust and a lot of dirt... Mold in kitchen corner, tv remote missing back cover, sheets were stain, No working light bulbs.And all the ceiling fans were very dirty as well. Requested for room to be clean and No one came in to provided us toilet paper or towels. Over all I do not recommend this place!
Room was average and clean. Loved the deep soak tub. Was very close to the beach. We could see the sand and waves for our window. Our door did not have a top lock and customer service was not great. But this is a deal and I would stay here again
When we arrived the room smelled very badly. The floor was dirty. No AC. Tried to open windows but were nailed shut so you could only open a few inches. WE arrived at 5 PM and had to be somewhere but we tried finding a hotel room other this one because it was so dirty. We were told by the clerk we would have to work on getting reimbursed by the third party we booked it through ( which was motel 6). we were unable to find a room nearby and needed to get to our meeting which we were already late for so we decided we would have to just deal with it and sleep here. When we returned three hours later upon turning the lights on there were cockroaches scattering. We decided we would either drive 3 hours home or find another room, the cockroaches were unacceptable. when we told the clerk he came to our room and said I dont see any cockroaches.... after the lights had been on 10 minutes.we drove a hour to another hotel room.getting reimbursed for the room was not possible . The owner refunded us 75$ out of the 270.00 we were charged. Motel 6 complaint department was no help and confirmed multiple times they were satisfied with the own of this hotel reply.I will never stay in a motel 6 again. The lack of support by the motel 6 customer complaint line, district manager was more disappointing than the cockroaches.
Clean and good room layout. Even had small fridge. Staff efficient and helpful. And right by beach, pier, and center of everything. At a great price. Big fans of Motel 6 for consistent value and this new addition to their chain is no exception.
This hotel has ROACHES! Be very careful! Went once about 2 years ago...thought Id give them another chance and the same outcome. I believe it is infested. They come out when the room is dark. Im done with this motel 6
The price was cheap and it was walking distance to all the pier shop and beach. You get what you paid for. So the hotel room wasnt all that great. You can hear everything and I find it odd our small refrigerator was right next to our toilet in the bathroom lol, but the price and location was what I was looking for. 5 star if they move the refrigerator out of the bathroom.
Loved the hotel. Enjoyed the rooms. Staff was very pleasant. Patio/seating area outside was a nice addition allowing us to drink our coffee and enjoy the view the hotel offered. Room was clean and ready upon our arrival. Will definitely be staying here again.
For 250 I got a room with a 2 brm queen bed suite . Im a 420 Adult so Im happy to say the beach is just a 100 yard walk or so to enjoy ur cannabis as all all buildings are smoke free . The restaurants and pier are right there as well . Im not a Boujee type Im more into the vacation then the actual room. If your a low key chill type and frugal this is a Yesssss!!!!!!! Definitely going back soon !!!!!
The heater in room didn’t work. Had no view as a trailer was parked directly outside our window. (Think was people working for you)The room itself was small but acceptable. Just lack of heat with a thin bed set made for a cold night.
DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! We paid $190 per night to stay here last wknd. The floors were filthy, the mattress was about 3 thick, the shower floor was dirty, and there were disgusting drip stains on the headboard. I brought it to the attention of a manager named Kay ( Probably the blonde lady most people are speaking about in these bad reviews) on Sunday morning, and she seemed genuinely concerned as she held her clipboard and apparently wrote down all of my concerns about my room. She said that she would compensate us for the condition of our room and for how uncomfortable we must have been. She was actually very nice as we spoke face-to-face in the parking lot. We were leaving for the day to go explore Morro Bay, and was hoping to come back to a clean room. When we came back that evening, IT WAS THE SAME! The same stains were still on the headboard, there were no clean towels, there was toilet paper in the toilet for some reason, the floor was still dirty, and we discovered that our ice bucket had a huge crack on the bottom of it. At this point I started to take pictures because I could not believe it. I went to the front office and this really nice guy came over to our room with some Clorox wipes and cleaned the headboard. Upon checking out on Monday morning I spoke with Kay at the front desk and her demeanor was completely different. I asked her if she was still going to compensate us and she said that it was out of her hands and that she would speak to corporate about it and someone would be contacting me. (I still have not heard from anyone) Why would you offer to compensate a guest when you have no intention on following through with it?? I informed her that nothing had been done as far as the room being clean and all she said was that she would speak to housekeeping about it. She could care less that we had a horrible stay and I was so disappointed. The day before she made me feel like she actually cared and understood, but that wasnt the case. She just wanted me to stop talking about how disgusting my room was in front of other guests in the lobby.This is one place that we will never be staying at again.
It was perfect for what we wanted. We were looking for a couple nights stay for new years and this spot was the lowest cost we could find. Its not super fancy but it is clean and a few seconds to walk to the ocean. Close to a lot of places to visit, shop, dine, and have a drink. It was a clean room and it smelled like cleaning products so I thought that was a plus. I would stay here again for sure.
Not satisfied. We are avid travelers and this motel is not up to par. If you want clogged toilet and pubic hair in your towels, go ahead and book it. Noise outside at night. No heater and no AC. No amenities. The only plus in this hotel is a walking distance to the beach.
Its fantastic that Motel 6 bought then old motel by the beach, but its been almost 2 years now, and Motel 6 corp needs to just go in and renovate it and do it right. theres still old furniture in the rooms, and the smaller ones dont have any room to move around in them, they need the banquets and flat screens, our room didnt have the wall heater working (room 4) and last time we stayed in the room next to the upstairs patio, no working heater in there either. Parking is awful, it needs to be restriped so that all the cars park in one direction. The pool is full of water right now (testing?) but its full of building materials, furniture, etc., and the gate was open on Friday when we got there, huge liability issue for Motel 6. we heard from others in room 5 and 6 that the beds were sagging in the middle; I just like the proximity to the beach, and were there only to sleep and shower; so for us its not an issue at all. The shower itself however was a huge issue in that it ran cold/scalding and no water pressure which for me is a deal breaker when I spend $300 for 2 nights and want to rinse sand, hair, doggie. Room 18 is great, we stayed there one time, and the other upstairs room in the corner is great too; but this property needs a complete facelift. Also, the paper motel 6 sign is still up over the old sign, it doesnt bode well for the aesthetic of the resort that Pismo wants to be. The people who work there are great though :)

Stayed there last weekend April 1, 2016. The pictures shown must have been from when hotel was first built. Its run down to say the least. Definitely worth paying alittle more to stay on next street over. The Manager is NOT a people person, rude and a liar. I had quite a few issues while staying here and I was to be compensated for it at check out. Manager lied to my face at check out and I was not compensated as promised. The cleaning staff there was extremely rude banging on the door of occupied room that had a sign do not disturb. I guess she cant read! She then gets attitude with guests for not answering the door sooner!!! RIDICULOUS & GHETTO! The noise level was so loud the first night due to others partying past 2am who wants to hear males talking about shaving their balls ? I had no choice that is how loud it was. Called the office but there is no manager in the office after a certain time I think 9. So had to call the police so I could sleep. They claim manager lives on property (I doubt that). I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here. Not worth all the inconvenience and the rooms are old and the doors barely even lock. If someone bumps it will probably open. The rooms did not have working phones in them and one room didnt even have a phone. The door on one room was split and door loose like someone had broken it down and never fixed. The bathrooms showers dirty with soap scum. When you shower and someone turns on sink water you get burned with the hot water. In some rooms the bed is so close to the bathroom you gotta go sideways to get in. I will NEVER rent here again !!!! independently owned and yes they were reported. WORST HOTEL EVER!!!! All they got going for them is location ...A waste of $320 for 2 nights. Disgrace to PISMO BEACH for sure. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS THEY ARE TRUE AND ACCURATE. MANAGEMENT DO ME A FAVOR AND DO NOT REPLY WITH BS THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ALONG TIME> NO EXCUSES FOR THIS CRAP HOTEL
Lets face it. Motel 6 isnt a Sheraton. However, its a great location and worth what they charge. My only suggestions for this place (it is under new ownership so this might take a while) are: Coffee! They dont set coffee out till 8am. Really?? Also, beware of the really tight parking. While we stayed there a car was hit due to tight clearances turning in the lot. Finally, windows. Like many older motels, this one has the original single pane windows, and there is no AC to drown out noises so if youre a light sleeper youre out of luck! They need to invest a little money in windows, put coffee out at 7 (at the latest) then they will go from OK to great!
Our family vacation was made extra enjoyable by the friendly staff. The rooms were very clean and the location was perfect. No shampoo provided but well bring some next time cause well definately be back.
The managers were unbelievably rude and threatened to call the cops on not only us but another family because our infants were crying. The ironic thing is that it states that the room that we were in would accommodate 5 adults and two infants, but apparently the room only accommodated my son if he was silent! I would have rated this place a zero, however, I had to rate it at least one star to be able to write a comment. Do not stay here it was trouble from the beginning as they also messed up our room reservation also!!!!
Location was good but I do not like the wood floors. We came back from the beach only to have sand tracked everywhere and then had to deal with it the rest of our stay, at least provide a broom and dust pan so we can sweep the mess. The room appeared clean but I kept finding long black/brown hairs on everything and since my whole family is blonde it wasn’t ours. There was a very strong perfume smell which I’m sure is the cleaning products but I am very sensitive to perfume so we had to open the door and windows to try and air it out. Also my daughter dropped water on the floor and when I wiped it up the floors were filthy, they need to be mopped and should between every single guest, gross. The shower was very slippery my 4 year old fell and hit her head and back and has a huge bruise and scratch from it, and she was not left in there alone. Plus I don’t understand why they gave us a room with only a shower, I let them know ahead of time I was traveling with children and requested a tub. Also I’ve never stayed at a hotel that did not provide Kleenex tissues, I know it’s petty but when we needed to blow a nose and there weren’t any I thought it was strange. Oh and parking is a nightmare, both entrances go the same way so trying to get out is not easy plus if you have a large vehicle forget it.
The room was unbearably HOT, even with the windows open and the fan on high. I was very surprised that the room did not have A/C. I know the room is next to the beach, but sometimes you just need it. Also, the other guests were extremely drunk and load all night long. I could not shut the windows because of the stuffy heat, so I had to listen to drunks all night long. Where was the management or security? A/C in the rooms would have helped a lot. The floor was very dirty and the shower had a bad leak.
Had a horrible stay at this Inn! Paid a lot of money for a very old room that did not have a bath tub like it said and they did not put on the web page that their pool was not working. My kids were disappointed they couldnt swim and we would have never booked this room if we would have know. They offered us the Athletic Club but that cost $8 a person. The first night we were there teenagers came back at 2am loud and drunk keeping us up. The second night our neighbors were having a party with a ton of people with kids running around and jumping on the beds. The office closes at 10pm so there is no one managing the hotel. The continental breakfast consist of muffins and orange juice. I complained to the staff and they did not care and were very unfriendly. I would not recommend this place to anyone instead they should stay at the Edgewater for a little more a night and at least have a nice quiet updated room with access to a pool and hot tub.
Motel 6 took over and updated this older motel. The rooms are refreshed and clean with very reasonable rates. The ocean is about 100 yards away which for me trumps everything and makes it awesome. I have stayed at other motels with similar beach proximity that were much older and dirtier... probably like this one was before it was updated. This is much better for a budget motel.
Room was clean and spacious, staff was really nice. 4 stars because there wasnt light on the nightstand or near the bed, I like to read and the overhead light wasnt cutting it. Also once Im falling asleep I dont want to get out of bed to turn the light off because then Im awake again
I gave 3 out of 5 stars because when I checked in the blonde at the desk was NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL! There was also no air conditioning in the room. I realize this hotel is at the coast but it was HOT when we were there and it made it hard to sleep. My suggestion is adding a few fans to the rooms. There was also NOT enough parking for all the guests! It really sucked having to pay to park in public parking then haul our stuff to our room. The WiFi DID NOT WORK ON IPHONES!! On a brighter note the location was amazing!! The rooms were exactly what we needed! I cannot day enough about the location!! One of the better Motel 6 I have stayed in!
There have been a lot of upgrades, the hotel is looking great! Our room #219 could use a new bathroom curtain or blind.The owners/manager were extremely polite.and helpful.The next time we are in Cali we will stay there again, especially if you get softer beds.Thank youChristy Schrider
Worst experience ever! Room smelled of mold, the bathroom was disgusting, beds were uncomfortable ect ect I can go on and on about how horrid the room was but let’s move on to other issues. There was no parking available when I brought it to the front desks attention I was told well the park on the street somewhere. Our first night there at about 1am a guest two doors down from us was going crazy yelling, cursing, slamming doors threats to stab someone, and setting car alarms off. I called the front desk several times to complain and no answer. Finally after 45 minutes the police arrive and arrest someone. Horrible horrible horrible experience DO NOT STAY HERE!
Very close to the pier and dining and entertainments. If you like the smell of pinesol you will enjoy your room. Very little emmenities. Seriously, not even a little bottle of shampoo. Great place for smokers. Ashtrays and benches conveniently located outside your door. Very festive atmosphere. Lots of people hanging out and drinking booze outside of their rooms. Great place for those traveling on a budget.
They were renovating the lower level so o my the upper floor was available, and those rooms are more expensive. The staff was pleasant, but unforgiving on rates for the inconvenience and price difference. It looked like motel 6 just acquired this property and they were renovating to meet their new standards. The views are amazing and its unbelievably close to bars, sandwich shops, bakeries, shopping, and THE PISMO BEACH. Id come back in the summer. Absolutely amazing location! The rooms can use some work though...
I shared details already.Not happy at all.Rude clerk, embarrassed me. Yelled at me to show him a bank statement that showed I already paid for the room. Told me to move aside so he could help the people behind me.I had to sit in my car and make phone calls to bank and Motel 6 customer service to verify if payment had been charged to my account.All the clerk had to say was that the credit card is used to reserve the room. My friend and I wanted to go somewhere else.Bath towels had hair on them.Room was swept, leaving the hair and trash right outside the door on the mat.Black widow in room, remotes not working, nobody answers office phone.We used to stay there alot when it was Ocean Breeze, no complaints.But no never again!
Our group of about 20+ people came in on a Friday. I had requested a 1st floor room when I made my reservation as I am ambilatorily disabled. Mgmt did not, at first, have me on the first floor but did finally accommodate me and I was given a 1st floor, 2-bedroom room (room #12) that I refuse to call a suite. Upon entrance there was a small sofa-bed, a very small table with an old CR tube TV sitting on it, not an up-to-date flat screen like the other rooms, a shelf-type frame with a Mini-fridge inset and a strange, totally out of place, very uncomfortable, large chair opposite the TV. Thats it. No phone and no info of the areas attractions or restaurants, or safety and motel info like other M6 motels.Both bedrooms had horribly uncomfortable mattresses that on my 2nd and final night, I slept on top of the covers in my clothes...It was that bad. The only other furniture in the rooms were ancient chests of drawers w/ only 2 drawers each. Only one room had a metal wall shelf/coat hanging device usually seen in M6 rooms.The bathroom was clean and adequate and what Ive come to expect for M6, the rest of the room was not.My motorcycle club has been coming to this motel every year at this time in May for a number of years and this is the first time here as a M6 affiliated motel and most of us were sorely disappointed.I was charged $150.00 a night for this unclean, uncomfortable room and I can tell you it was not worth it. My only consolation was that one of our crew came in late and I saved some money by sharing the other bedroom with him.Ive stayed in many M6 motels as all I need is a shower and a bed. However, I would expect better, much better, value for my money than I received at the M6 in Pismo beach.I will be, unfortunately, lobbying our leadership to change venues next year as I personally will not be back to this particular M6.
Room was fine. Rail of steps next to room is not up to code. Needs to be higher to hold onto. Also someone had spilled a drink on the rail and floor and on the second day I had to ask the maid to clean it.Wish coffee would be available earlier. 6am would be great.
Jayden is always so pleasant. We met him several years ago. He has turn around this Motel. He always greet us with a smile. The location is great close to the beach,, pier, and most of all close to Splash! The rooms is what you need for a fun weekend!
My stay was nice, the room was very clean. The only problem I had was my room was suppose to have a jacuzzi tub and it was just a regular shower and tub. Also the front desk lady was very rude to us even when we spoke to her on the phone and when we called the front desk to get a wake up call no one answered. Then the TV didnt work at all.
Room: grungyThe windows did not latch, no air conditioning, the ceiling fan was loose and a concern it would fall on the bed if turned up on high. My husband secured the wobbles with a magazine page.Needs air circulation without having to open the door to foot traffic. Bench outside the window invites cigarette smoking visitors. Reaked of cigarette smoke (from the neighboring room). Needed a coat of paint, cracks in the bathroom floor, no fitted bed sheet. Could use a clock, phone, a few more towels.Location: Right next to the beach and Pier which is very nice. Needs additional parking. Both sides of the parking lot direct cars inward but there is no traffic flow outward?Service: employees are nice and helpful
Overall my stay was good. I was upset because I specially requested room #1 the King Suite.I paid for it with my Credit Card.On Arrival our room was given away to someone else. So what was supposed to be a good night in a King Bed on A Night Getaway.We were given room #9 the Handicapp room.Very upset.... yes I was given a discount after the fact but I was extremely upset.I made reservations days in advance and for this to happen was not the business.
The customer service we experienced here was top-notch. The room was clean and the accommodations were as advertised. Being so close to the beach and among staff that wanted to be there really sealed the deal on our positive experience. Thanks & Cheers!
The room was very comfortable. It had all of the amenities we needed for a quick stay and the view of the ocean was great. The staff was very accommodating when we asked for extra towels. Overall it was an easy and great experience.
Location is great. But to charge more than 120 dollars a night is not worth it. We checked in late and there were enough towels for one and the desk staff were gone for the night. We wanted to cancel but they have a 72 hour cancelation and would charge for the entire amount...so be careful for the small print.
The location was awesome. I requested a ground floor room being that my husband is disabled and just recently had a fall. I was so happy your staff assured me one. Im a foster parent to 2 young boys, and this was their 2nd time to a beach, and their 1st to Pismo Beach. My boys have missed out on a lot of things in life, so My husband and I are trying to give them some happy memorable experiences. I payed nearly $400. for a 2 night stay and expecting a nice room. I understand this is an older building but i didnt expect what we got. The carpet had multiple tears. The floor near the bathroom felt like it was going to fall in. I had to remind myself that we were ground level. The lights in the bathroom didnt work until the attendant figured out that they had to be in a certain position to work. The rooms were very hot and no airconditioner. the ceiling fan in the 2nd room didnt work. the attendant said it was probably a fuse, but It wasnt and he couldnt fix it. They gave us a standing oscillating fan. With only one outlet in the room. The cord would have to be right next to the bed in my sons face. He then gave us an extension cord which stretched out about 2ft. from the bed and up nearly 3ft. My son would have to climb over it, but if he had forgotten about the cord, he could have tripped over it. The attendant the gave us a longer cord that i ran from the wall and under to the foot of the bed. Now had there been windows screens, the cool ocean breeze wouldve worked fine. When opening the bathroom window (with no screen/ground level ) it pulled apart and had to be kept shut. Bedroom curtains were missing several curtain hooks. They looked very sloppy. Curtain hooks probably cost about $1 for 12 hooks. The attendant attempted to fix, but didnt. I was about to help him fix that, but I seen that the curtain fixture was just LAYING ON TOP of the wall brackets, REALLY? another disappointment. The biggest and worse dissapointment was the condition of the mattress in the second room. the mattress sunk straight across the middle. I cant believe you would leave something like that in the room. the attendant informed me that they were going to be getting new mattresses, which does me no good now! we then inspected the mattresses for bed bugs. They seemed ok. The bathroom door locks, missing lightbulb and battery cover on the remote was missing. Those were little things that could have been easily fixed. DISAPPOINTED!
Its a wonderful place to stay. Great location, just a 1 minute walk to the beach and shopping. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because it was hot while we were there and there was no way to cool off the room.

Heard people all night making noise in the parking lot. Towels were not soft and had a musky smell. Stains on comforters. Thank goodness it was only 1 night, definitely wont be going back
We booked Motel 6 as we traveled to Pismo Beach. I had recently seen an ad that they were renovating their rooms. We didnt expect much, just a clean comfortable room as they advertise as we were just passing thru. As I opened the door to the room, I was greeted by aweful odor. I had to open windows and turn on the ceiling fan. Keep in mind it was 44 degrees outside. The carpet was so dirty I didnt feel safe taking my socks off. I turned on the wall heater which actually warmed the room quite well, but it did make a popping noise all night. It appeared that Motel 6 just purchased this property and hopefully changes will be made soon. You probably shouldnt have put your name on the building until the redo. I will be leary of staying at a motel 6 going forward. I gave it one star for the location which was great.
The location of the hotel is great!! Ocean views from the room. The room was huge. The price was great. On the down side. Only one housekeeper was pleasant and She was quiting for a full time job. Another house keeper lives at the hotel and her daughter, maybe 4 years old, just runs around the parking lot unattended. One front desk clerk watches naked women on the internet while hes working. You can see it in the window when your walking up to office. The manager, jarod, was extremely rude on our last day. He barged into our room when me and my son were sleeping still. My son, whos only 4, had been throwing up all night and we slept in. It wasnt even check out time yet!! It was an invasion of our privacy!! They arent even completely motel 6. The bill comes from ocean breeze motel. The wifi is ocean breeze. The place just gives off a weird vibe.
Floors softer than the beds, no microwave only a fridge. No A/C, old rusted heater, disgusting shower. Sink in the bathroom did not drain. The pool is closed and curenty used as a storage area. There was no phone or bible in the room. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. (As of 8-27-17)
Great service, nice people working here, rooms with two beds and kitchenette are great, big and comfy. The best part that its a very small walk from the beach. Would definitely stay here every time I have to travel to Pismo Beach.
Room had a dirty towl left on the bathroom counter. The blinds were ripped off, too short for the window space, and broken on the street level bathroom window, and the curtain was sheer so anyone outside could see inside the bathroom. The towel Im sure was an honest mistake, but the bathroom blinds were negligence. I didnt feel comfortable or safe using the restroom in a motel I paid over 100 for.
Great location. Great staff. Horrible parking. Worlds smallest hotel room. No chair in room. Wouldnt have fit anyway. If you want to stay in a closet this place is for you. By the way room has no closet or dresser and 1 night stand
The door jam was rotted with a big gap. Door did not close all the way and someone could kick it open very easily. The TV did not work at first. Took quite a while to figure out how to get it to work. Staff stated it was a new system and there were bugs. The bath had mold and the shower would not keep a constant temperature.
Its just a room and a bathroom. No dining table or closet. However, it is in a good location that is close to everything. Its really you need if you dont plan on hanging out in your room. I stayed here as a cheap stop between driving from socal to norcal. Not great, not bad.Staff a great. Check in was the fastest ever. They had my paperwork waiting for me (I booked online).
The ice machine didnt work, the pool was out of services, no phone in room. But the location was amazing & the weekend shift guy was so nice he had only been there 2 weeks & was alone & he was getting yelled at by everyone I felt sorry for him. The a.c./heater in our room didnt work just the heater part & when we asked him he had no idea but found a fan for us. Ones the upgrading is done this will be my place to go when we are in Pismo.
Location of motel is its best feature. It is only a 5 minutes walk to the beach. Also, the front office and staff were friendly. To the less than desirable features: the room was very small with no closet or drawers to store belongings. The WIFI did not work. Reportedly, the signal boosters were too weak. The channel selection available included only basic programming and did not offer any sports channels. Three words to sum up my review for the Motel 6 Pismo Beach: CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP.
Great location for the price. We were up stairs and looking out our window we could see a bit of the ocean. The rooms very basic and need some TLC but everything is VERY clean. good size rooms. Able to walk to food, shops, pier and beach.
Very nice spacious room, large flat screen TV, and a little refrigerator. The only thing it needed was a microwave. Yes, they have free coffee in the morning, and its actually decent.
Just walked through all of their room types last week. (March 25th 2015) I am planning a family vacation and wanted to see it for myself before I booked. The past reviews might be legit, but the new owner is EXTREMELY friendly and has put a LOT of work into updating the rooms. He personally showed me about 5 of the rooms. My favorite room was on the bottom floor closest to the ocean and with a huge Jacuzzi tub in a brand new bathroom. We will be staying on the top floor in a 2 bed with a full kitchen as it fits our family better. It has a large seating area outside where you can see the sand, ocean and all the way to Port San Luis. I was happy to find a place that we can stay a whole week for the price of 2 nights elsewhere. It is less than 100 yards to the sand by the pier (and swing sets for my kids!) Splash cafe is right across the street - whoo hoo! Hilton Hotel? No, but everything was extremely clean and we plan on spending most of our time at the beach anyways. An amazing bargain that has allowed me to give my family a vacation right by the beach.
Great locations. Wonderful staff. We stayed in the suite. It was a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom and one TV-couch area. Just perfect for 3 women traveling together. Highly recommend this hotel.
We were very disappointed with our stay at Ocean Breeze Inn. So much so that we stayed only the 1st night of our 3 night reservation, forfeiting the $250+ we spent (pretty depressing).We specifically chose the hotel (claiming it had an indoor heated pool) because our 1 year old loves to swim. Indoor refers to a semi-enclosed pool that is very drafty. Heated must be a complete lie because it was too cold for an adult let alone a child. Disappointing, especially on Christmas! Also, the free wi-fi is if you are sitting in the hotel lobby... not in your room. The walls are paper thin. When the neighboring room turned on the water in their bathroom it was loud enough to wake up our son... who is typically a pretty sound sleeper. It was also quite noisy with people stomping up the stairs, knocking on doors, and slamming doors shut. It honestly sounded like the door/windows were open all the time.This hotel is also in need of an update. Fixtures, decor, etc. is all way outdated.The beds were relatively comfortable I guess and the proximity to the beach/shops is nice.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are too many other hotels that cant be nearly as bad.
Besides it being walking distance to beach; the beds are old and uncomfortable. Reserved a King size bed w/ a roll away and I got a Queen w/ extra blankets and pillows, no roll away. The parking was very minimal; had to park 2 blocks away. Dont think wifey would want to stay here again.
We were suppose to have our rates adjusted to the $113 in the other areas. There were no telephone in our room and 2/3 nights needed to call someone to call the policy or security to take care of fights going on below us. None of this was done. We were going to be given a bigger discount because of no phone in room or staff on premise who charged wrong card and are requesting money back. I do not mind paying the money for the room if it is up to standard however it is NOT
It used to be the Ocean Breeze Motel. Back than it used to be a great place to stay for a weekend. Sadly the owners sold it to Motel 6 chain. The new owner renovated the rooms.... cheaply. But the worst is that they brought in old matresses from I dont know where. If you are somebody with back problems dont even think about staying here. The matresses are torn and have cigarette burn wholes and are very hard and wirey. Meaning when you lay on them you feel all the wires on your back. I checked in without looking at the room. When I went back (5 min. later) to tell the gal at the reception that I wasnt able to sleep on that matress she said well you already checked in. Theres nothing I can do for you. I immediately went to a different hotel and slept there for 2 nights. $ 400 for nothing and no refund has been given so far. 0 stars for Motel 6 Pismo Beach.
Location was good close to the pier and restaurants. Room needed improvement on the following: ac in room; TV wasnt working; need microwave and a hair dryer. While on the way home we realize we left a gameboy in our room so decided to call back to see if the housekeeper found it. Call but was turn down the person who answer the phone just hung up while I was still talking!!
Pull out couch/bed was broken and couldn’t be slept on so he slept on as a couch but it dipped into one side and was uncomfortable and couch was very dirty. Sheets and towels had noticeable yellow stains and bedsheets had sand as well. People next door were smoking marijuana all night! I wouldn’t allow kids outside of room cuz it stunk like marijuana really bad.
If you care deeply about Covid protocols, its not the place for you. People on the beach are usually distanced, but no one is masked. Parking or walking to parking is going to be crowed. Its a nice, free beach, but expect to pay for parking. Water is always ice cold. Bring lots of sun block and apply often, even on a cloudy day.
Lying, dishonest, BEWARE!!I made online reservations on Motel 6s website for April 4th back on February 23. On March 10th I called the motel directly and confirmed the reservation. On April 1 I received an email stating my reservations had been cancelled due to an invalid card and that they had unsuccessfully attempted to call me. I immediately called the motel, as both statements in the email are provebly false. They refused to answer the phone. I called Motel 6s corporate reservations and when I confronted them as to the false statements/fraudulent cancelation of my reservations, their representative admitted that my reservations where cancelled due to over booking. When I then confronted her about the fact made the reservation in February and confirmed on March, she told me there was nothing she could do.Moral of this story is that if you make reservations at a Motel 6, it means nothing. Someone offers a small bribe to the front desk, and your SOL. I can unequivocally prove all of this other than my conjecture as to the bribe, but common sense dictates Im correct on that as well. These people are dishonest scumbags! Both at the local & corporate level.
Very close to the beach, less than a 2 mins walk out of my hotel room. I loved it. The air was so fresh at night, I slept with the windows open. Room was clean and I enjoyed the spa tub!!
I called on Friday 9/1 to let the front desk know that I mistakenly made the reservation for Friday 9/1 and Saturday 9/2 rather than Saturday 9/2 and Sunday 9/3, the gentleman said no problem they would extend my stay through Sunday night to check out Monday 9/4. I also let him know that I would not be able to check in until Saturday 9/2 as I would not be in the area until then, he said no problem. On Saturday I called to confirm there was AC in the room (which there was not) and they had completely canceled my reservation. After much debating the issue the lady on the phone made me a new reservation for Saturday 9/2 to check out on Monday 9/4...for a lot more money than what I had reserved them for on line. The room was very hot and the lone wooden table was very sticky to the touch, disgusting. My pillow had blood on it and there were no amenities other than a few small bars of soap placed here and there. I have stayed at many Motel 6s and have had nothing but great experiences...this experience was awful and disappointing especially considering the $600 I spent for a 2 nights stay. Will NEVER stay there again!!!
Ok. Here is the honest truth. If you want anything other than a clean room and a bed, this is not the place for you. If a cheap clean room and a bed is what you want; this is your place. This place used to be called Ocean Breeze but now its a Motel 6.Dont believe what the advertisements say. There is:1. No pool (The ocean is literally right next door)2. No breakfast (Check out Graze Kitchen around the corner)3. The tvs are 20inch4. Only one room has a hot tub.5. Three rooms have a view of the ocean.6. There is no AC, only heaters. The thermostat is hidden inside the bottom section of the heater.7. WiFi was good but my room was close to the lobby. Your experience may vary.8. The old man at the desk is ok. He got me a late checkout at 11am so he is good by me.9. Dont go to the Harrisons bar located 2 blocks away unless you like loud nightclubs. If you want a beach/bar/quiet combo check out the beachside place exactly one street over from the hotel.10. Dont expect much and you wont be disappointed.
Horrible. Worst motel 6 I’ve ever stayed. I know this place isn’t fancy. Complete and total neglect from the management from check in to check out. I did not receive a parking spot, even though each room is guaranteed one. I did not get a room with a queen bed even though that is what was requested. Shower and toilet did not work. Scalding hot or freezing cold. Toilet only flushes if you keep your hand on the lever the entire time. Clearly it’s not installed correctly. Neighbors where permitted to party until 4:30 in the morning. Screaming, fighting, playing loud music, getting drunk, smoking pot. All over the balcony in front of our room. They had the two rooms immediately to the right and left of us. Zero regards for the other guest.
We stayed her 5 or 6 times last year. Now we were back for the first time in 2018. All the websites still says there is a pool and a gym, it wasnt there last year and it still wasnt there...There girl at the front disk would not give us a key without a Passport (we are from Denmark, but live in SF). That has not been a problem before, after some time and a lot of talk she agreed to give it to us.The first room we got, had a buzzing sound that was really loud, we thought is might have been from the aircon system. We went to the frontdisk after 20-30 minute to ask for a new room because the buzzing was still there. We asked the girl at the front desk if it could be from the aircon system - but she said no and told us that non of the rooms had aircon (eventough it said so on the website). We got a new room, but before given us the key she told us (in a not so nice way) that if there were any mess at all og if we had broken anything in the first room they would charge us.We spend a lot of time in Pismo and we alway stay with you, but after the time we contender staying another place the next time we go back.
Easy access to pismo beach city and pier. Everything is within walking distance. The room itself was spacious, clean, well insulated, and had free wi fi. Thank you for the friendly staff and late check out is a plus too. Will be back in 2017 :)
We stayed one night on February 2nd and during the early evening hours there was couples fighting outside and you could hear everything. They fought for at least and hour. The neighbors next to us came back at 1:30 in the morning and were arguing so loud you could hear the fight. We didnt like the fact that our room was upstairs and I checked we were traveling with our dog. It was hard going up and diwn the steap stairs holding our 13lb dog. Our home does not have stairs so our dig has no idea how to climb stairs without being afraid. Also, you could use a dog area so we dont have to walk our dig all the way to the Pismo Beach Hotel grass area. When a dog has to go, they have to go.
Nice room. Clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. will definitely be back for a longer stay. Park and wall the whole trip. Everything right there.
Over priced for the quality of the rooms. There was no blind or treatment of any kind in the very large bathroom window and it didnt matter that it faces an alley, people from certain angles on the street could see in. The towels were rough. Too rough to wash your face with. The floors were sandy, you couldn’t walk bare footed.
Room was way better than I expected. All staff were friendly, nice and helpful. Super clean and quiet location. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area! Thank you for an awesome stay in Pismo, CA!
Overall, a good place to satisfy your desire to chillax after a long adventure.There are couple comfy beds which accommodates for couple people and an average-sized TV to pass time.The only flaw I could think of is that the fan makes an annoying rattly noise every so often so make sure to bring some ear plugs in the summer!
I would have NEVER picked this hotel but my husband did and hes picked good ones in the past, unfortunately, he did not read the reviews which I regretfully wished he had! This place us a dump!! Owner, management and most staff members should be ashamed of yourselves thinking the way you clean the rooms are exceptable to the guests that have to sleep there.(smh)?? How is it that you think Mold in the shower, smudged mirrors and from one cleaning girl, lets skip on washing the sheets this time?? Really? It sounds like you all work for a slum lord and are ok with it! The beds feel like the springs are coming up in yr back, mold in shower, outdated bedding, small, no microwave and office manager acted like he didnt give 2 hoots about us or any complaints that have been made in the past about this place. I think for being so close to everything (walking distance) and to the water it definitely should look more captivating then it does. The pictures on line are decieving. Shame on the owner who I hope reads this!!! I will make sure not to referre anyone to this place.
When I called the 1-800 reservation call number I ask for a hotel room that has two adjoining bedrooms inside I as told they do not have them. (I knew when the hotel was called ocean breeze before motel 6 bought the hotel those rooms were available) so they sold me two seperate hotel rooms. when I arrived and found this out it was to late to get a refund. If I would have been helped properly I would not have paid double.
Hotel gets one star for the location. Furniture, bathroom and beds are ancient. Windows dont latch closed, anyone could pry their way in. Kitchen had weird bar table setup. Towels looked dirty, used our own. For the price look elsewhere.
Clean, spacious and friendly staff. You can hear the bowling from the room and it ended at 11pm during the week. Also some some light bulbs out and remote batteries low.
We first arrived with not a warm welcome. We were tired so we walked upstairs to our room where we decided to rest but chose to go for a walk.when we got back to rest for the night to my amazement we ended up finding HAIR IN THE SHEETS BLACK HAIR!! This made our stay awful.It took awhile to get assistance after hours yet I finally got assistance for new sheets and still found HAIR IN THOSE SHEETS AS WELL!! we ended up sleeping with our blankets. This was awful experience for us. When asked if we could be accommodated for our awful experience. We were told the manager would be notified. This was horrendous.
Could not check in room until 5:30pm then they wouldn’t even let us park here before 2:00 pm and put me in a room that I didn’t book saying they didn’t have the room I originally booked and they didn’t give me a price difference. Also 5the staff is rude! Bedding looks dirty also!
TV was barely visible. Me and my girlfriend had to fix the cable ourselves. The door wouldnt shut without having to slam it. The heater/cooler wouldnt work and the man up front said its just a heater when it says cool on one side. Either way it didnt work. We tried both. The fan in the room couldnt be on high because it was about to fall off the ceiling. The people up front were completely rude and when we told them about the problems they said no one else has complained, would you like to be on payroll so you can fix all of them
It was horrible.. no phones in the room so when we wanted to complain about the very loud nieghbors we couldnt, it was hottier than haitis and there was no ac. your parking lot is a hot mess. and to top it off check in was 4 pm. and our room was not ready till after 5
The website doesnt advertise that the facility does not have air conditioning. When I tried to put my two daughters to bed there was a huge bug between the sheets. At that point I loaded up my luggage, my family and left the motel.
I am severely handicapped. I have never had a worse hotel experience in my life. Do not stay here. Pay the $20 extra to stay literally anywhere else. The management is thuggish and the rooms are mold-infested.
This motel 6 was the worst motel that I have ever stayed in. The rooms didnt even have a PHONE!!! Workers were walking around on the roof at 8am and the heater dripped water ALL night. I will never stay at that location again. If you want a good nights sleep, I suggest staying somewhere else!!
I stayed there two weeks ago and have been trying to forget I chose to spend money at the Ocean Breeze. How ever. I can not let this go with out trying to let people know of this horrible establishment operating in the heart of Pismo. First off I would like to address the Female Manager. She is a mean loud mess of a woman. Yelling at the top of her lungs at the house keeping staff as well as I will assume a maintenance man. It sounded like she has some sort of mental issue ( I hate to judge). She was literally screaming and tossing things about. Basically as though shes lost it. My wife tried to ask her a few questions regarding the indoor pool advertised and she basically said It is closed cant you see that!! My wife tried to ask another question about beach towels and the wifi ( which didnt work) and she said she didnt have time to deal with these things and to come back later. but kindly reminded my wife that check out is 11 am. The manager proceeded to hound a house keeper. Everyone working there must be so stressed working for a woman who conducts her self this way. Our room was dark and stinky. Reeked of Pot, Puke and some foul smell coming from the shower. Our linens were stained and had what looked like black dog hair all over it. I know they have a no pet policy as I would have loved to bring our family pet for our weekend stay but come to find out while I was outside trying to enjoy the sunset the management has a black dog held up somewhere within the motel. At least thats what I gathered from seeing the male manager take this dog out for potties from room #7 and also room #11 or #12. The management appears to live on site using rooms #18 and #7 or #11-12. Taking up what little parking there is available and using handicap spots. As mentioned in other reviews the office closes down and there is no one to reach even though they obviously live there. My next complaint comes from a comment made to me about the owner of Ocean Breeze while talking about the railing project being done while we were checking in from and older man working there. I was told he is Indian and could care less what customers want He wastes his money and only cares about filling rooms. He is about the money. He dont pay me enough to care, the whole place could burn down at any moment, thats how much he cares I am part eastern Indian myself and tried very hard NOT to take that personally. The male manager said he was doing this railing project all on his own with no help and that he is expecting a big bonus or hell let the place burn down! Nice. While I was there I did not see him touch the project. A younger man worked away at replacing post and such while also being attentive to the the motels needs. I am in engineering and I will tell you this. The wood railings that are being put up will be a liability and will last maybe 2-5 years. Its not treated lumber. Just stained to match and will no doubt mold in a few months looking absolutely horrid. The way the rails have been constructed makes it easy for a young child to climb and fall 20 feet onto concrete.The continental breakfast was mini muffins and juice. I received a massive door ding on my 2 month old truck. The ice machine had some pink mold growing in it. Piles of lumber stacked all over the lot. People smoking cigarettes right outside your window at 12am-3am.The place is sad to say a horrible choice and you are advised to look elsewhere. It is obvious once you get there that management could care less about the place and have made themselves very much at home. Squatting and running it into the ground. Maybe a form of job security, who knows.I feel bad for the employees there. I feel bad for the owner. And feel bad for The great city of Pismo Beach.Dear sir, Your business is being ruined by these Managers!!!!To the owner of the Ocean Breeze Inn. Please contact me..... This place looked nasty. When we got there there was parties in the parking lot. They said they already booked us in before we got there. They went to show us our room and they had people in it. They found us a different room and it was suppose to be an upgrade but it looked horrible and was hot with no ac. We asked for a refund and they gave us a tough time but eventually we got it. Dont stay here.

That unfortunately, is the only positives.Older hotel, so be aware there is no air conditioning which made the room stuffy even with having windows wide open. Ceiling fan installed in room may as well not work because there is no air circulation. Large gap beneath entry door and door jamb in room 220 (ocean view room). There is a television mount in room, but it is not being utilized and television is still resting on table. Walls were filthy, with black marks and scuffs being very visible. Pillows were flat as pancakes. Bathroom has no storage for products from home. There are no hooks or bars to hang bath towels on, but a retro wooden circular towel holder that is outdated. Towels are like gym towels and thin, scratchy and cheap. There are rusty curtain rod holders in wall, but no curtain being utilized. The bathroom screen was filled with dust and lint, to the point where it looked like dust bunnies.

2023-09-12 17:16:04The people that work here are super nice. The walls are very very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING in the neighboring room, like people just having a conversation. The room smelled like bug spray but besides that it was clean. The guests that were there when we stayed were blasting music at all hours off and on.Definitely do not stay here if youre wanting a good nights sleep but for the location, it worked perfectly for us.

2023-10-16 15:17:08Horrible service kept my $100 deposit over a food spill!! Front lady was extremely rude not only the first time we stayed here in April but also the second time this weekend!! Not to mention the front lady was going around smelling our used towels to smell what we spilled… just made me feel weird and uncomfortable! To top it off tried to blame me for a plugged sink when it had been plugged the day we got there we couldn’t even brush our teeth! Horrible experience wouldn’t recommend to anyone!

I want to thank to Lori who solve the issue with my reservation and even offered me a much better deal (I hope I spelled her name correctly). Also the personnel of the hotel were very kind and helpful.If you are looking for a place to stay and you are not looking for a luxurious hotel, this is the place to stay.

2023-05-08 20:04:35Location is great. Centrally located and just a few feet from the beach and city center. Customer service was excellent. Super nice and friendly. Our room had malfunctioning lights and she upgraded our room, was super nice, gave extra towels pillows and linen and could font something else to make us feel comfortable. Room and hotel is old. Everything felt like it was old, or of low quality. Towels were thing and scratchy, linen was cheap, and the mattress was too firm. The only good thing of this place is basically the location and service. A bit pricey but location was what I was looking for and it was a last minute reservation.

2023-09-25 06:06:27I was pleasantly surprised with this motel, the staff Lorrie and Samantha were very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable . My room was clean, and had a TV, Microwave, and a fridge, it was close to the beach and restaurants and bars. There was plenty of parking, I will stay here again

BUT the night shift manager he is rude disrespectful hateful and so mean… was causing so much noise in a room claimed “he was fixing electrical” it was almost midnight so loud in our room and when i confronted him he laughed said no its not… he was HORRIBLE

2023-05-31 03:48:56They asked for $100 deposit and didn’t give it back. When I asked what happened they just said that the unit is complaining because my dog was barking all night, which is not true. When I asked them why did they not call me or knock in my room, the front desk just said they don’t contact the guest after midnight. If the unit beside me really can’t sleep, then why didn’t they ask us or gave us a warning??? They just want to keep the deposit.

2023-07-29 22:57:30$450 a night in the summer, absolutely bare. no silverware, only a bar of soap. for almost 500 i would expect at least shampoo. the alley is loud at night. by far the worst hotel i’ve ever been to.
