Mr. Chopsticks Seafood and BBQ stands out as an authentic Cantonese-style restaurant that offers a commendable selection of Chinese cuisine. The prices are exceptionally reasonable, and the portion sizes are quite satisfying. Its an ideal spot for sharing a meal with family and friends during lunch. The flavors are delicious and appealing, with standout dishes being the winter melon soup with seafood and the honey-glazed pork ribs. -1 for disgusting restroom and lack of customer service.Quick tips: The restaurant features lunch specials available daily from 11 am to 4 pm as of August 2023. The menu comprises approximately 80 dishes priced at $11.25, $12.25, and $13.24. Keep in mind that parking can be challenging during lunch and dinner hours. You might find it necessary to park at the Chase Bank parking lot or use street parking a few blocks south on Santa Anita Ave.

Classic Cantonese dishes to share with friends and family. I eat here regularly. Dining in and to-go. The food is fresh, portions are generous, and costs are great. The food has unfussy and comforting flavors that feel like home to a kid that grew up in 90s Cantonese banquet restaurants. Lunch special is a deal. Service is nice and fast, but you need to wave down the very busy server to ask for things. I would highly recommend the Roasted Squab, Braised Fish Fillet with Bean Curd, Beef with Chinese Broccoli, House Empress Chicken, Sweet and Sour Fish, and Spicy Salt Chicken Wings. For dessert, I love the Ginger Milk Pudding.

Here’s to have lunch on Saturday. Very small parking lot, hard to find parking. Service very so so, not so nice. But with everyone rushing, we still have to wait 45 mins for our foods. Only thing I can said every dishes are big portion. But taste wise, not much favors at all.

Salt and pepper fried pork chops had a unique batter than most Chinese restaurants. The batter is flaky and lighter. Def a must try if you’re into pork chops. The dishes are huge for an affordable price - lunch time has special pricing with plates $11-14 ish.Service was slow. The server we got had a bit of an attitude and said they’re low staffed - we understood but that attitude though 😑.

A true Canton style restaurant. Authentic tastes, service is what you will experience at a Chinese restaurant. Remember, you are here for the food, not the service or decor. This restaurant gets very busy at night so make reservation. Must try the winter melon soup (advance reservation required), and the squab (advance reservation). Family style restaurant and a must try if you like Canton style food.

The food is very good, especially the Squab. Service is okay and the place could be a bit cleaner.

First time customer but have grown up on Asian cuisine my whole life. The food was great and very authentic, reminded me of my childhood memories. When you see lots of Chinese people at a restaurant, it is definitely good!Pictured are Chicken Fried Rice, Braised Tofu in a brown sauce, Fried Rock Cod Fillet with Cream Corn Sauce, and Fried Salted and Peppered Pork. Enjoy!

Traditional Cantonese restaurant with solid food. This is one of those still provide free soup and rice as part of the lunch menu.No surprises on the food. It’s just Cantonese food with the usual chicken, pork, beef and seafood varieties. Lunch is the best time for good value. For less than $12 per dish, you can select from over 40 some food choices. I personally like their fried sole fish. The fish we had was very fresh. For dinner, most people come here for their famous winter melon soup with seafoods. This dish is epic and has to be ordered ahead of time. The portion is good for at least 10 people. I understand that they grow these melons from the backyard of the restaurant.Service is decent, at least when we were here for lunch. People are friendly and the food came out quite fast. For those who are looking for the usual traditional Cantonese food, this is a solid choice.

10/22/2022Returned to this restaurant several times this year to observe.1. Food portion is big. Taste improves and is good.2. Price is VERY reasonable. Even the 81-item special lunch menu has been updated during the pandemic and inflation, there are still 19 entree dishes under $10 for selection.3. Complementary steamed rice and soup of the day are refillable, free of charge. Talking about the soup, they stick to the winter melon soup year around because they use the freshest ingredients - the winter melons and vegetables are grown in the back yard of the restaurant. You can see the back yard and the plants from the dining hall.4. Recommended dishes on the special lunch menu: # 64 - less than $12 for 14 pieces of chicken wings with spicy garlic salt; #55 - a sweet and sour fish dish; #1 for Chinese vegetables with oyster sauce.5. The building is old, the furniture are old in this traditional Chinese restaurant.6. Parking is always an issue on this small mall.== == == =================2017:Food is average, nothing impressive.

Best local Chinese restaurant. Authentic dishes comparable to home cooking plus great squab and fresh seafood. Fav winter melon soup must be pre-ordered 24 hrs in advance. Good to reserve if big party size and on weekends. Plus they grow a lot of their vegetables like melons and fresh greens!
