The food is so creative with great taste! The menu almost includes all types of foods from south east Asia and mix with western style. I love the Thai French toast, it comes with delicious Thai milk tea dipping sauce. Reservation on Google map directly is convenient. Staff in the restaurant very friendly and efficient. Strong recommend!

A friend had recommended I come here for brunch. The wait to get seated wasn’t too bad - a few minutes at the most.I was pleasantly surprised that the menu was Thai fusion and was torn between a handful of dishes. We ended up ordering: Vietnamese Dalgona coffee, Tom Yum Omelette, and Vegetarian Steak.The Tom Yum omelette had all the delicious notes a tom yum soup would have, including the spice. This does have a kick but accentuates the dish rather than being painfully spicy.The candied spicy bacon that topped the omelette was sweet and spicy, definitely a delicious treat.The Vegetarian Steak had umami taste and well balanced, especially with the sunny side egg.Both dishes had baguette slices topped with minced garlic and cheese shavings, diced potatoes, and a little salad.The Vietnamese coffee wasn’t too sweet, and there are non-dairy options available as well.Overall, would come back again.

Its one of the best Pad Thai I have tasted.We were looking for food near our hotel, and the reviews are good. So we tried, and we werent disappointed. The staff and the owner are friendly and accommodating.Although we only we ate what we selected and they are very good. The place is not big. To my estimates, it sits less than 50 people. Plan ahead if you decide to eat in this place.

Pretty good Thai-American brunch spot. I visited it on a Sunday noon and it was busy but still had high stools available. The menu is large so it’s easy to find what to eat either you are in mood for sweet or savory food. I really loved their rich Tom Yum soup with crispy chicken and my husband found Pad Thai Shrimp delicious. The service was friendly and fast, and people kept coming till the end of their brunch hours so I can assume that this place is pretty popular among those who know about it. Glad that we discovered this Thai spot in our neighborhood.

Food was spot on for flavor with the dishes we had. Veggie pho, veggie fresh rolls and the pad see ew. Great Smoky flavor in the pad see ew!! Service was quick and our waiter was very friendly with a good se sense of humor. He made sure we were happy without being overbearing. The place was packed from the time we arrived until the time we left. Definitely a popular place to eat, and I can see why!

A nice Thai food spot that opens early in the morning. I had the Hainan chicken rice which is not actually Thai food, but its good. The ingredients are not very similar to those I had in Asia countries but the rice and chicken were delicious. The food service was very quick but servers were not around that much. The staff was friendly.

Overall great experience. The spicy sole fish was especially delicious; the flavors were exceptional and the eggplant perfectly cooked. Atmosphere was very clean and welcoming. Service was great. Prices also seemed very reasonable given the quality. The latte was also outstanding!

Came here at 10am Sunday and had brunch here with friends. No line and plenty of empty tables. We ordered Hainan Chicken and Garlic Noodles with Chicken. For both dishes, the chicken was dry. For the Hainan chicken, the sauce was too thick. The garlic noodles was okay. Quantity was good but taste is below average. Our friends ordered Thai Tea Pancake and they seem to have enjoyed it. Maybe the typical brunch offerings are better?

The Vietnamese-Thai-meld chicken on fried rice dish was comparable to any high cuisine restaurant. It came with bok choi and broccoli steamed to perfection, still crisp, not soggy, what you would expect from an experienced chef. An omelette dish had the same quality. The lychee mimosa (topped with a beautiful fresh lychee) was an excellent accompaniment.

Highly recommend the Saigon steak and Thai tea toast plate. The rest of the food menu is ok.The Saigon steak plate is well balanced with a mix of fries, salad, bread, and protein. The steak is extremely tender and flavorful. The fries are perfectly crisp and the salad is fresh and perfectly seasoned.The Thai tea toast was pretty good too but the Thai tea flavor wasn’t that strong. The fruits were very fresh.In terms of drinks, I recommend the Saigon coffee drink.

Mr East Kitchen is a little and a surprisingly amazing place. I had a great time here and the food is so delicious. I loved the veggie pho and the garlic noodle bowl. The patatas bravas (potato fries) were to die for, the taste of the fries is still lingering in my mouth. One thing I did not like was that it was too crowded and they did not have enough room to keep the dishes on the table.The waiters were really funny and sweet.

I think food took a while to come, so if you get a drink and have some company, it’s really nice :)Something interesting they have is sriracha bacon! It has more of the sweetness than the spice, but I liked it. It’s thick cut and cooked softer (not crunchy) which is my preference, so I love it .)

What a jewel. With so many options in San Francisco we wanted a special breakfast place. This fit the bill perfectly. Service was attentive, food delicious and reasonably priced. Pictured are the Saigon Steak, Morning Crispy Chicken Salad and the Tom Yum omelette. We also had the Mr East Salad. Everyone was sharing and trying each other’s dishes. Such wonderful flavors. Will definitely be back.

For the budget minded who wants quality meals. If your hotel ever charges your Continental breakfast for $50 or more, might as well skip that and walk a few blocks (15min or less) and have an enjoyable meal that is easy on the budget and feel like you’re dining in a quality restaurant. Came here on New Year’s day when most restaurants are closed and we were not disappointed. Came back the next day but unfortunately they are closed on Mondays. Everything looks good and taste good but I think I need more meat on my chicken katsu.

I stumbled upon Mr. East kitchen, and I was very surprised. I actually found a place where everything on the menu looked delicious and was affordable, which is a rare find San Francisco. We got the crispy chicken fried rice, which was bomb. We also got the garlic noodles which were really good and a chicken bun which just needed a little more chicken. Great customer service. Coming back to try the soups.

I always love coming here! Its such a cute aesthetic place and has good coffee shop vibes even though its more of a food place.Good:- The food here is so beautiful and portion sizes are great - I loved the Tom Yum Noodle Soup dish - the soup base was great but also the noodles were so tasty and the right texture.- I have gotten French toast here too and loved it.Bad:- Takes a long time to get food when its super busy here - not their fault but I was waiting for over 45 minutes one time to get food on a Thursday at lunch.Overall this place is great - prices are reasonable and its a super great Asian food place.

I really love this place! I love to order their crispy chicken fried rice whenever Im back home in SF and it has been consistently good. I sometimes order the lava beef too and it is also really good as well. Everyone working there has always been so nice and the vibe inside the place is really relaxing. It is a small place, but it is nicelt decorated. I love catching up with friends here that I havent seen or talked to in a long time and it is near Yerba Buena or Downtown SF so it is easy to hang out there after or take transportation.

A wonderful, peaceful restaurant with very delicious pan asian food. We ordered, pad ke mao, mushroom stir fry, fresh rolls and a vegetarian pho. Everything was delicious, served beautifully. It’s a great place for families, we went with 2 kids and there were many other families too.Service was 5 star. However, Im giving it two stars only because there were hella flies (little ones) and gnats in our area. Landed on and near our food, etc. I wont get into further detail, but it made the meal unappetizing. First and foremost, I love how clean this place is considering the neighborhood, but I have yet to be disappointed by my food, I really love this place and gonna feel a small emptiness when I leave to my next assignment, with that being said this place has amazing fried chicken. I have tried the chicken rice bowl, the fried rice chicken, and the lava beef. In general the portions and taste are decent. Vegetables come with each dish, which is good. However, all dishes are consistently too sweet for my taste. The place is very clean and the service was pretty good.

An absolute gem of a restaurant! I was visiting a friend in San Francisco, and the only time that worked out for us to meet was around brunch...which I have to admit is not my favorite meal of the day nor my expertise. Thank goodness we stumbled upon Mr. East Kitchen! This delightful Asian fusion restaurant has a beautiful array of breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes, as well as a delightful selection of drinks (and more traditional dishes if you come here during non-brunch hours). I tried out their Mr. East Salad, which is a delicious fillet of grilled salmon, diced avocado, sliced shallots, blueberries, and strawberries on top of a bed of kale and spinach. The salmon was perfectly crispy and delightful, and the natural fattiness of the salmon was a great contrast against the fresh greens, subtly sweet fruit, peppery cut of the raw shallots, and slightly sweet and sour blueberry vinaigrette. It admittedly felt a bit strange to be eating a whole fillet of salmon at 9 AM but it was delicious and, hey, thats what brunch is for. My friend tried out one of their other exciting fusion menu items -- their thai tea french toast. The thai tea sauce was the iconic vibrant orange color, and her plate looked absolutely gorgeous with the beautiful slices of texas toast and fresh fruit. She also tried out their Vietnamese dalgona coffee, which was AMAZING. Whether youre looking for a sweet or savory brunch option, Mr. East Kitchen will definitely have you covered!Beyond their food, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is absolutely delightful. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, and the entire restaurant is clean and modern. The storefront is entirely glass, so theres an abundance of natural lighting, accented by their cute blue walls and lovely decor. Im honestly so sad that I was only in San Francisco long enough to try this place once -- I cant wait for the day when I can visit again and try out the other incredible items on their menu.

The place is super cute and the service was so kind. They have a lot of yummy things on the menu. My bestie and I came in while visiting SF. The avocado & egg sandwich, the fries, the salmon bites, and the thai french toast were yummy. I did ask for syrup as well to mix with the thai french toast topping. I love Mr. East! I used to live around the corner and I picked up garlic noodles once a week. The tofu is crispy on the outside but moist and flavorful on the inside, and its one of the only places that includes an actual adult size portion of veggies.Ive honestly never ordered anything else because I love this dish so much. I bet everything they have is fantastic. I still stop by whenever Im in the neighborhood! It was so sad to see businesses closing in this area -- support Mr. East!

There are 3 styles of Benedict, all of them awesome and tastefully plated pretty dishes. Noodle dishes are spot on. I recommend trying the fun drinks especially the mimosas.

My wife and I got the Saigon steak and Thai Tea French toast, and some mimosas everything was perfect, one of the best breakfasts we ever had. After the first bite, we couldn’t believe this place wasn’t packed.For context I can’t remember a time I left a review on anything other than friends and family businesses, but I felt obligated to leave a review here, and I don’t know these people.

Wonderful place! I go here at least twice a week. My go to breakfast is the classic 2 eggs combo. I like that they package the fruit separately, unlike other restaurants. Their dinner plates are always flavorful and sometimes spicy, which I love. The lattes are really good too! The staff is always so welcoming and I always look forward to going back.

Delicious food! Found this spot for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised! We purchased the breakfast sandwiches. We got the egg and cheese sandwich with house hashbrowns and also the sausage egg and cheese sandwich with patty Hashbrowns. I recommend the house hashbrowns by far, the seasonings are yummy! One of the best breakfast sandwiches ive had in a very long time! Ordering was easy, food was ready in a timely manner, service was friendly and overall im extremely happy with this local spot! Drinks were earl grey milk tea with boba, and a mimosa.Im a small eater, but wahhhh I ate so much of the tom yum noodle soup. The noodles had this bouncy texture that was so nice, even though though looked like bland-boring pho noodles...something was so nice about them! I wonder what they were made of.The pumpkin curry was also super good. We got it with the crispy chicken--the crunchy part was sososo good. Had the flavor I recognize when Im at a Thai restaurant and get fried bananas.The earl grey boba was great. The boba wasnt going to rank #1 (maybe nice if sweeter, warmer), but it was good enough that Id definitely get it again in the future!The mimosa was strong, which is what people probably look for in a mimosa, hahaha.Oh...the tofu, was interesting. We were the only ones in during dinner. The banh mi was...okay. Didnt wow me, didnt gross me out. It was food.The water, however was...alarming. Both my wife and I could taste nail polish remover in our water. We....got water later instead, despite being really thirsty. The salad we got on the side was...just lettuce. Thats not a salad. Thats a garnish at best. A salad has lots of other veggies and fruits in them. This...didnt.So yeah, would have been 1 stars, but the server was nice and accommodating.

3 STAR FOR THE BOBA ONLY. Very friendly service + food looks very tasty and beautiful.I came through to get boba when I realized the boba store I was originally going to was closed. Ordered the earl grey and Jasmine milk tea with boba. Unfortunately, the boba was not as chewy as I would have liked it. The earl grey flavor was stronger than I expected and I ended up going back in to ask for a sugar packet. The employee was nice enough to offer to add the sugar for me and reseal the cup. Super friendly service!I wouldnt come here for the boba (which makes sense because it isnt a boba establishment anyway), but the food definitely looks super good and the interior had very nice chill morning vibes to it :)

I love the garlic noodles. You pick the protein you want with it (tofu, chicken, pork, steak). It’s not overly buttery like a lot of places, and has the perfect amount of garlic. Their boba drinks are also really good! Made with real and organic milk! Price is very fair for the area that the restaurant is.. people tend to forget that they’re in San Francisco, one of the priciest cities in the nation.

I was very disappointed with my order. It consisted of about 89% plain white rice with such a tiny amount of vegies and meat. It was very bland and the thinly sliced 1 ounce of pork was very dry like the chef just warmed up some pieces of jerky. Their weekend lunch is bomb! I went this past weekend with my friend since I was craving Asian/Asian Fusion food. I dont see what I got on their online menu, but in-store I believe it was sriracha bacon and eggs with fried rice. A bit heavy, but so good! Ive also ordered to-go from them a few times for lunch and my experiences those times were meh - the food was a bit cold and so the textures and tastes were a bit off too. That being said, Im definitely a fan and its easy enough to get to (BART and MUNI are both close by) that Im sure Ill be back soon :)

I really dont understand how places like this end up with 4+ stars. The banh mi sandwich was gross. The bread was soggy, the vegetables were not at all fresh and crispy, and it was smeared with a weird yellow sauce. I understand its not a Vietnamese restaurant, but why put a banh mi on your menu and serve something that barely even approximates banh mi.

Im delighted to have a new Vietnamese fast casual restaurant in the neighborhood. Its similar to Freshroll but less chaotic, much cleaner, friendlier staff, more seating, and better ambience. That said, I think the food isnt quite as good as its competitors. In particular, I am a bit disappointed with the Banh Mi sandwich, which doesnt have feature the typical french baguette or enough pickled veggies.Rather than the Subway/Chipotle style of building the dishes in front of you, they are prepared in the back. The downside is its harder to customize, be but upside is faster service and a less chaotic experience.

I really like the lunch and breakfast...honestly, it tastes fresh and flavorful. I have eaten here on several occasions and although I enjoy the food, I do not feel the customer service has been adequate. There is a semi tall women that works the register that is really rude to the point that several coworkers have complained about her as well. If not for her and the coworker, I would have given 5 stars!!Today 2/19/19 for lunch was the worst, the lady at the register responded to my ordering in an angry, short tone for no apparent reason. When I asked for a bag for my hot soup and several other items, she rolled her eyes and angry snatched the bag to the point where others fail down as well and the short male next to her smiled and spoke in their language as if to let her know he supports her behavior to the customer. I asked her why was she so angry when I was only there to order food which in turn supports them in becoming successful but she hissed and rolled her eyes even more??I really like the food but if I have to be waited on by her and her short coworker, I will not be able to return as I am concerned about what is happening with my food when the staff doesnt care about you as a patron. I let my office and others know what my experience is like when dealing with those two.
