It’s perfect hangover food, but not much else. Pretty greasy and the beef was chewy. Flavor is good and prices are decent.

Visiting client in Morgan Hill, stopped by this Chinese fast food place for lunch.Ordered combo with 2 entrees with mushroom and string bean chicken, and shout soup. Entrees has good amount of ingredient and doesn’t taste with MSG.No wait I line although came in during lunch hour.

It happened, I finally found a place that serves Chinese fast food other than Panda Express. I guess Panda Express and Mr. Hongs arent really Chinese food, its what Americans call Chinese food. Its like my dogs name is Moose and thats what I call him, but he will never actually be a moose. I wonder if theres a lot of restaurants in China that serve American food? I guess those places would be considered Chinese American food. Anyways, there are a lot of places in Morgan Hill that serve American Chinese food, but not fast. I dont know why it took me so long to find Mr. Hongs. I had driven by it so many times and they were as transparent as possible. They even say Fast Food on their sign. I appreciate that, I feel like most fast food chains try to hide the fact that theyre fast food or at least dont advertise it. Id be surprised if McDonalds or Taco Bell ever put fast food right under their name. I like that Mr. Hongs doesnt try to hide their identity and just accepts who they are. For the low price, large portion sizes, and quality for fast food standards this place is a 5/5 for me.

I like my Chinese Food.Orange chicken, not so good. Dry and had me choking so badly I had to go back inside and get something to drink so I could breathe.Not sure if hes using MSG or not, but this will be my only visit.3 days later, still having trouble breathing and swallowing.I think the health department might need to check this place.

Fresh and delicious Chinese food ready to go! Its not often that you can say that about buffet style food (they serve it to you of course) but it is in this case. Were not from Morgan Hill but once a month or so, we come out to this area from San Jose and take advantage of their delicious food.

The quality of food has gone downhill and the portions are really small compared to how they used to serve. The server added food and then took food off of plate because she felt it was too much 😂 We live out of town and used to look forward to eating there, with the price increase and smaller portions it’s time to find a sit down restaurant

The food is good, but they overload you with the rice and noodles way too much and then only give you a super small portion of the stuff you picked out. So I’m going to stop going there because I’ve asked the lady multiple times now to go easy on the rice and she won’t. She’s a total tight wad and won’t give you dinner portions of the good stuff, so I quit. It’s a shame though because like I said, the food is tasty. ☹️

Haven’t visited in a while so when I came in the store was clean as usual but the only thing that was really disappointing was the quality of the food. Before it was juicy and fresh and now it’s like chewing rubber and plastic really sucks because I loved this place before

I liked the fried calamari, although a little too much jalapeño for me, my husband got orange chicken and steamed rice. He was pleased. I dont know, but the rice noodles I love so much may have a preservative in them and gave me a headache. Everything else was fine.

Large portions, decent taste. Good bang for your buck.Suggestion: get half chow mein and half rice noodles and mix them together while eating. Rice noodles have good smokiness that chow mein is missing.

Fast food that is always delicious. My favorite is the teriyaki chicken. The Kung pao chicken is amazing also. They have outdoor tables also. Everytime Im in morgan hill, I make sure to stop by here at least twice. Reasonable prices compared to everything in the area.

The food is alright, but nothing special. Ive been here a few times. The main problem with this restaurant is the food is not cooked consistent.I feel like the food itself is not always cooked the same and the food is sometimes left to sit for awhile. I happen to be a fan of orange chicken but Mr. Hongs fails because sometimes the breading is just very soggy and covered in too much sauce, which tells me its been sitting around for awhile. The owner should do some serious quality control here.Whether your a fan of Panda Express or not one thing they do right is keep the food fresh. Ive almost never been to a Panda Express and felt like what I ordered for dinner was something that was made during lunch and left sitting for 5 hours before the next customer walked in.

Great food at a great price! Service was fast, and the interior has a clean, modern vibe. My bourbon chicken was a bit in the greasy side, and the fried rice wasnt as flavorful as I had hoped, but I was otherwise impressed.

The food is there, ready to eat. I will give that compliment. But no vegetable options and no tofu. I had a fish entree with chow mein, which together was passable. The other 15 items were chicken mixes and a broccoli beef. The tables were dirty. No joy from the server. Quick food if you are desperate.

The day I went to Mr.Hongs all their food was very fresh,🥕🌶🌽🍜🍱.. Huge portions 1, 2 item meal is enough for two people!☺.Very friendly staff and seating outside!🌺.Plenty of parking and same price as most Chinese fast food!!🍜😁

This has been the spot since I was 12, on hot summer days I would walk to Mr Hongs regardless of the heat. Love the food 😋 and theyve remained consistent to this day. Mr. Hongs is the spot 👌 one of a few in Morgan Hill...

This restaurant sells American-style Chinese food, not food commonly eaten by Chinese families. But so what? If you want to change the taste occasionally, you can come here. Even for a Chinese like me, it tastes pretty good, a bit like middle school cafeteria food, cheap and big.
