SECOND TRY WAS EXCELLENT. Food was good, lots of options for sushi and rolls. Highly recommended. Atmosphere is fine - lots of room and open seats. The rolls were very good. Some were pricey but overall worth what we got. Will definitely be back.

Everything thing is Fantastic the Food is full of flavor one starting with the Spicy Tuna Poppers. My favorite is the Fire Ball Salmon Roll that was recommended by the sushi chef it sent my taste buds on a crazy journey and everything after that didn’t disappoint from the Rainbow Roll to a Crispy Scallop roll I have been to multiple sushi locations and none of them has been as flavorful We definitely be Back 100/100

We went there on a Saturday so it was packed and busy. But surprisingly we got table right away. Their sushi are very good, everything other than sushi are just ok but they’re worth the price. Ramen and udon are ok but there are so many places with better ramen in the area, so it’s a no for me (especially the ramen since it’s not worth $18 in my opinion). Service is very good, everyone is friendly. It was our first visit so we tend to try everything. Definitely will go back but will be more careful with food selection.

I’m at a complete loss as to why the sushi bars in this area insist on dowsing the rolls in eel sauce. I had to request no eel sauce for my roll (which I’ve never seen come with eel sauce.) The salmon sushi was chewy and cut was very thick 😩 The sushi guy was friendly though. The reason for the three stars for atmosphere is because even though I was the first person this morning to sit at the sushi bar the counter was sticky, ugh. Unfortunately I will not be back.

Sat at the bar. Service was quick, efficient. Large portion sizes, good deal for what you get. Was surprised how much sashimi I got. Edamame was good. Highly recommend the pineapple sake. Servers were young, vibrant, pleasant. As the night went on, the place got pretty packed on a Friday night, it’s clearly popular, and for good reason. Would return anytime

Sad that they dont do all you can eat anymore. But! I love their ramen and bento box! You can make the ramen a combo and the bento comes with 2 items. I find myself always craving the ramen (i get the original broth 🤤).The Songs salmon sashimi and white fish sashimi is also delicious.

I found this place completely on accident and it was the best happy accident to ever happen. This restaurant is phenomenal. The ambiance, the service, the art, THE FOOD. What an experience. I can’t wait to come back and see this place in full effect after covid because I bet it will be even more of a vibe.We sat in this spacious booth that was so comfortable and just really enjoyable to sit at I ordered a variety of plates and we did family style and nothing was anything far from extraordinary. The best part of the night was our server, Monica! She was so friendly and truly a delight. I would come back just for her.Thank you Mrs. Sushi for an unforgettable evening. I’ll be back and I’m bringing EVERYONE!!

Go there on a Friday night with a party of 3 and it’s busy. No worries, waited 20 minutes. Get to my table and they cleaned the table, but don’t even bother to check the seats. Some noodles left over but thankfully only had 3 people so I could sit elsewhere.Again, waiting for a long time to place an order. Sounds like they’re understaffed. Finally order and wait 20-30 minutes to get sushi. We finish some rolls and were interested in more.We’re waiting again lol and then our server tells us that he missed telling us last call because he’s training someone.I’m good but my buddies are still hungry.It’s good sushi don’t get me wrong, but man service really was bad.

I have been a customer of this place for a long time. Today’s dining experience was horrible. I waited 15 mins to order a drink and 45 mins for my food. On top of that, I was asked to switch table so they could accommodate other parties. I guess is time to move on.

Ok, this a tough one. I don’t want to give people the wrong impression. It is far, far from bad sushi but not mind-blowing sushi either. That being said, this is a great local everyday sushi spot. Dine in or take out is pretty solid (I know, take out sushi?? What self respecting sushi eater does take out? This is a habit left over from the pandemic, lol.) Anyhow, come check it out. It does get packed on weekends so prepare to wait.

My family is a regular at Mr. Sushi and the food never fails. Staff is always welcoming, and we always leave empty plates. Their portions are great with the sashimi! They’re pretty thick cut and you get the most bang for your buck. Fantastic place. Bless 🙏

Service has gone on a downward spiral since re-opening after COVID. I finished my drink and I was never offered a refill, my food took so long to be prepared and the table next to us got their food all mixed up and the sushi chef refused to remake the dish. Total chaos.

Went in at 8:50pm. 90% of the chairs were on top of the tables, and a couple of customers were inside. Hostess immediately stated that the last call for food was at 9pm. I asked, Arent you open until 10pm which she replied yes. So we went to the sushi bar and sat down. Sushi chief said last call 9pm. Okay, we will place our order now. He said no. So we got up and left. We went to Sushi 661, which also closes at 10pm. We arrived at about 9:20pm. There were 15 or so customers in there, and we sat at Sushi bar ordered our food, and had a great time as always when we go there. So Mr Sushi will never see us again!

The only hassle is the parking lot, tiny spots, feels like youll eventually get a door ding here, but thats not their fault.

The Slowest Restaurant in all of Santa Clarita. You will be waiting a long time for your food if you order take out. I dont know how many delivery drivers have dropped the order because they were sitting around at the restaurant for 30 minutes just to be told it will be another 20 minutes. It might be time to look for another spot when I want take out sushi

This use to be a great and enjoyable place to eat. Today it was horrible! After calling and confirming not busy we arrived about 5 minutes later. Wait time to sit was long, after ordering we still waited close to 45 minutes for simple bento boxes. Undercooked sushi rice, SLOW service, and our 5 year old didn’t get his ice cream until after all the food was finished rather than being allowed to eat it while we were ALL hoping to eat together. The food was great. The service was great.... The menu is tricky.... The all you can eat only had 1 price on it 15.95. We saw the price and asked the waitress to confirm the price and she said yes. We all ordered ate and enjoyed the food then we got the bill. Its actually 30.00 per person. The only price on the menu of 15.95 is the price for kids 10 yrs and younger. I guess that was our mistake but still seems a little sneaky. We had a very long hair wrapped into one of the sushi rolls and they still tried to charge us for it, we had to ask them to remove it from the bill.

Highly recommend this Sushi restaurant. Took my 10yr old son for the cooked Dragon and Crunch rolls, and we absolutely loved it! The Eel was tender and flavorful. The Crunch roll had the perfect texture. Both were equally delicious. This was our first visit to Mr. Sushi and we went during that in between lunch and dinner time. Surprisingly the place was very busy even after lunch, but we were seated immediately. We were waited on by 3 different servers that made sure we were taken care of, if we needed anything. Another surprise was the food came quickly, which I was very happy about. (That was refreshing considering the awful experience we had at Sushi661. That place is not what it used to be.) The reason I give it 4 stars is that the chairs could have more cushion, and there is a wall area used for storage or misc items, stacked chairs, in clear view. Maybe Im being nit picky, but it takes away from the ambiance. The food we had definitely gets 5 stars! Another thing I enjoyed was the current mainstream music. We will definitely be back here and continue to as long as the Sushi is served just like this.

Definitely my Santa Clarita go to for the takeout sushi craving. Although AYCE does not exist anymore (at the time of this review), I’m more than willing to order here because of the nice quality and generous nigiri/sashimi portions here (compared to some other places in town).I had a great conversation with the “new” owner several years ago about certain fish and import costs. One of my personal favorite sushi spots in Santa Clarita. The atmosphere is moody with dimmer light and it is well kept because of their tremendous staff size at any given time. The food is absolutely amazing and the fish is of high quality. They dont skimp out on portions for their rolls so be cautious of their size I found it best to share orders and then order more if necessary. Only gripe that some might not enjoy is the wait time to get a table. This is because the location is small and is extremely popular. If your the type of person that needs to sit down immediately then I suggest going some where else but if you can handle the wait you will not be disappointed.

Everyone in my family loves Mr Sushi! Hands down the best sushi in SCV and surrounding areas in my opinion. I have a big family and we all have strong opinions that usually clash, but we all LOVE this place. The service is fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxing and nice, the food is AMAZING. Large portions, always fresh, always full of flavor. So so so good! I wish we lived in SCV still because I’ve yet to find a sushi place that I like as much as this one.

I actually really love this place since the new ownership. The sushi chefs at the bar are literally the best and they are constantly making sure youve got what you need without interrupting your conversations. Overall nice experience except for the sushi tools. Not too creative. Seems like they were all pretty much the same ingredients, different names. The pieces of fish in the sushi salad were very small compared to other places. This is an all u can eat besides a lacart.

The food is really good. Unfortunately its ruined by the horrible service.Showed up on Friday at 8.30pm and waited an hour to be seated. No one came to take our order so we had to call them.At 9.50pm they told us it was last call for sushi and asked if we wanted anything else.... Even though we hadnt even received our food :(We said no, but then decided we should order another roll just in case. So less than 30 seconds later we called our waiter back only to be told it was too late, the kitchen was closed???? :( x2When we got our food it was delicious. This is the second all you can eat sushi restaurant Ive tried, and it was pretty good, but not the best. I will say that their sushi rice is some of the best Ive ever tasted, its strangely sweet and filling (not exactly a good thing for all you can eat). The menu is good enough, but I find myself missing certain things Im used to elsewhere. Honestly you wont be disappointed, but there are some better options at the same price point. Highly recommend the fresh eel, it was fantastic!

It was actually my favorite spot.I go there almost everyweekToday i had the worst customer service ever with the new manegment.We were 7 adults and 4 kids, orders 5 all you can eat and ordered one side for one of the adults .When the food came there was a shrimp so 2 of the kids every one got one shrimp and then we had the waiter came to us with an aggresive attitude and a really disrespectful way, and he said we will charge you for the shrimp. Fresh ingredients, a menu full of choices, and service that is top notch. Keep in mind that your food is made when you order it, so be patient as it will take a little longer to prepare. I am more of a traditional sushi eater and can find plenty [Nigiri, sashimi, yellowtail collar... even rolls like the Spider Roll (a must try), etc] on their menu, but if you like rolls that mix many fish types together, and/or add in sauces and oils, youll find plenty that is delicious here as well.Lastly, and with a few other restaurants in the same shopping center as Mr Sushi, parking MIGHT BE a challenge but only if you are there around dinner time.

I love this place I go here twice a month it has great service . Nice waiters who enjoy teaching you about sushi how it is eaten. Then they taught me how to pickup different things with chopsticks it was very fun. It is very clean in there the chefs look very professional and waitresses are nice too. There is a really good deal called the bento box for about 12 something you get salad, 2 rolls of sushi, a big bowl of rice, tempura, sauce to dip it in with ginger and wasabi in the middle. Anyways check them out they are really nice and if you really hungry for $25 you can get all you can eat sushi any roll you want. Worst Sushi and Service of my life. Let me preface this by saying Im easy going - always cut places slack. It was really busy tonight etc. Even so, I am well-traveled and have a seasoned pallet. I know what to expect in different environments. I cannot remember a time where I left a place so put off and concerned that I wanted to warn other patrons.So what gives? This night was like Hells Kitchen meets Leaving Las Vegas. Why the utter lack of quality, and customer service Mr. Sushi? An off night? I think its much, much more than that. This goes up to management and it needs to be addressed. And I feel its worth sending a warning to future patrons about possible health code violations.Our night begins. After a 30 minute wait to be seating, not long for Friday night, we take our place at the corner of the Sushi bar. Space seemed friendly, clean and one of three Sushi Chefs takes our order almost immediately. All seems on the up and up. We decide to go with the all you can eat, which for me is about 1/2 a roll. I have a small appetite. I dont mind though because I have some favorites here. One is the Jalapeno mussels. My husband and I each order some. Mr. Happy says Yes, of course, what else would you like? My husband orders the Seaweed Salad, which arrives quickly and is up to par. I am content to wait for my mussels. How about cucumber salad the chef grins at me? Im thinking this is Soon a huge plate of sweet soggy, oily brown cucumbers are plopped in front of me.Ugh, I grimace at my husband. This taste horrible. ): If I had, know that would be the last food wed get over 30 minutes I might have been a little more enthusiastic. In that time, we watched Mr Happy fling his sauces, spin, twirl and pirouette through the sushi bar. We waited some more. After 30 minutes, I flagged down a waiter and ordered Tempura.Catching Mr Happys attention proved more of a challenge. His eyes darted here and there but seldom focused on anything. Are our Mussel orders on their way? Yes, Yes. Theyre coming. He stumbled to what looked to be a small oven and came back with a beer in his hand. Then I watched stumble to the kitchen and do a spectacular twirl back to us with a large piece of food hanging out of his mouth. Im not sure what it was, a sandwich? I was thinking, Well at least he gets to eat.I got someone elses attention and order a roll for myself...asked if it could be a small one, half an order. Why waste food? The happy drunk chef scoffed at me. NO. it cannot vary from my menu. Huh? I am asking for less food. We waited again...tick tock, tick tock. Tick tock. My husband repeated our orders. Finally, Mr Happy, or Mr. Inebriated, started cracking jokes about no White Man Rolls. I only make Mexican Rolls then inquired about getting a job as a plumber with another customer. Evidently he too sensed his limitations as a Sushi Chef.So the night ends. I was served one disaster of a roll, messy, tasteless and Ive felt unwell since tasting it. My husband received several pieces of Sushi, almost all the wrong fish. Salmon shouldnt be hard to decipher for a Sushi Chef. We never did see our Mussels. So basically our dinner consisted of soggy cucumbers and seaweed for dinner and a hefty $65 + bill. Thats a bit much in my opinion. We told the waiter I only had the one roll, but no one cared. Thats the part that bothered me the most. Restaurants are a service industry. Places that succeed are ones that care about their customers. We were there for at least 145 minutes. Dont ignore us because we are kind, well-mannered people.I went out on a date night with my husband and ended up with an empty wallet, and sick stomach. Hoping food poisoning isnt the icing on the cake. So bad fish, bad service, and questionable actions of the staff....hmmm. How many other Sushi choices are there in Santa Clarita? Dozens...maybe more. Why would we choose to go back again?
