2023-11-29 15:06:44Sushi was delicious and served quickly. The kelp wrapping was nicely done. The portions are a bit smaller than some of the other sushi restaurants, though I think prices were also a bit lower. The selection of rolls is not huge, though we found some good options. Try the yellowtail roll! The space was cozy and traditional, though I think they were playing R&B music, which changed the vibe a bit. The restaurant isnt very large, though we had no trouble getting a seat right when it opened. Service was fine, though they werent quite set up when the doors opened.

2023-09-13 19:06:40Finding a nice sushi place in Hayward has been a challenge, and when I saw that Mujiri recently opened downtown, I had to give it a try. Im happy to say it didnt disappoint. This place rivals those nice sushi restaurants in SF. Its a take-out out place only, and you order on their website about a week in advance. I placed an order for 2 nigri combo sets a day in advance, along with an ume maki roll and 2 cheesecake slices. The nigri combo comes with 7 non-repeated pieces of your choice from a rotating menu of fresh fish, some of which I believe comes directly from Japan, as well as a chef choice maki roll. Some of the choices include Toro (fatty bluefin tuna) and Kanpachi (Amberjack) Hotate (Hokkaido scallop) and Kurodai (black snapper). Needless to say, everything was fresh and delicious, and at $25 per set, you really cant find a better deal! The only slight disappointment from our order was the cheesecake. Although it was good, the slice was very small, and at $6 per slice, I didnt think it was worth it.

2023-08-02 10:00:11The food was exactly like the one in the Oakland location, staff were very nice! Though you cant dine in, since the last time I went. The inside looks unfinished and looks empty, I think theyre going to continue build it up, otherwise its still very good! Just hope theyll have seating inside soon!

2023-06-25 22:50:11The new location for Mujiri is still an incomparable sushi experience in the bay area for the price. Its just as good as the original in Oakland. Currently they are take out only, but theres a park in walking distance you can go to eat. The Nigiri Combo was so good I forgot to take a picture of it.
