We opted not to return to Mulans Restaurant, until we found that it was under new ownership.Ever since our return, we have been so impressed, with not only the service but the quality of food as well.We have invited many friends to join us for either lunch or dinner, the service and food have been superb. Now did I tell you of their portions? We always have enough for another meal, and the food heats up quite well the next day.BTW, my favorite is the: Pork Lo Mein. Yum!As for the Service, we are always greeted with an ever so gracious smile, they have never been tardy on the delivery of our lunch or dinner. This Restaurant is always clean!Give Mulans a try, bring friends, youll be back.
This is a family owned business. One of the owners is the female calling of Clark Kent. She is the host, waiter and server. The only one manning the front floor of the restaurant. Regardless, she still provides the best customer service youll experience and I am in such awe of her customer servive ability. Shes just the best! The food is fresh and delicious. The lunch specials are more affordable than panda express and will fill you up to contentdness. You can always buy the dinner plates for more food. I enjoy the sweet n sour chicken. No offense to the restaurant, but do steer clear of plates with bamboo shoots. I believe they use canned bamboo shoots and they give off a urine scent. I had to Google search my attempts to try a new lunch special and it didnt pan out. I will stick to the sweet n sour chicken.
Low key, but excellent food and service, good prices...doesnt look like much from the outside but very clean inside...definitely recommend
Lo mein chicken dish that I actually ordered was pretty good, the bbq pork fried rice that comes with lunches was not so much. For $7 its worth it, Ill try another dish sometime

So first off the food was so bad I couldnt finish eating because it put me in a bad mood. I ordered the orange chicken it literally tasted like chicharon with orange sauce it was the weirdest grainy texture I have ever experienced. The lo mein tasted of faint garlic and that was it with its pale color and literal raw cabbage over one third of the container I have never been so mind blown in a bad way. This was my first time ordering here and it will be the last. I honestly cant even believe how bad the food I got was. Ill just stick to my usual place.
Best Chinese bang for your buck. Lunch special all day? Its like $13 per person if you get a drink. The lady is so nice. Remembers your order if your a regular. Come eat here.

Have been coming here since I was little and the service, food and prices have continued to be exceptional! The egg foo yung and orange peel beef are my favourites. The sweet and sour pork is good as well. The 5-6 Dollar lunches and the 10-11 Dollar a lunches are exceptional values! Update: Food Still Amazing!

Unassuming place. Reasonable prices and the food was fantastic. Told the wife that whenever we are in town we have to stop and pick up an order of their Orange Peel Chicken.
All I can say is very warm welcoming energy. I am not too sure if the lady was the owner but she knew what it meant to be hospitable. My cousin and I still speak of the experience, although its a humble setting.

One of our favorites! ALWAYS fresh, hot and good flavors. GREAT and FRIENDLY service by the owner Joann. She always remembers us when we come in and always brings me a small dish of orange sauce on the side for my fried rice without even asking! And my husband left his expensive coat there and two weeks later when we went in she immediately pulled it from under the counter and handed it to us! We love that we can order their lunch specials ANY time they are open. Thank you for having a WONDERFUL restaurant! See you again soon!
The food was good. The lady helping us was very nice. It took them almost a hour to get our order ready. If you want a fast restaurant dont go there. If you want great food and dont mind the wait go there.
I have been dining at Mulans chinese restaurant since I was a child, I now enjoy the delicious dishes with my own child. Joann the owner is delightful and very sweet. She runs the business with her husband and they are very professional. I will continue recommending this restaurant to friends and family!
I have never rated a reataurant less than 3 stars. And I never been so humiliated in my life as I was here! I guess if youre mexican dont go eat here. They didnt offer us water like the rest of the people. They werent open to substitutions on lo mein instead of rice for my kids so that was upsetting. The worst service I ever seen or experienced, they just dropped the forks on the side for US TO SET IT UP. Dropped the soda and food and we had to serve it out to our family. The food was ok but a little syracha sauce would have made it better (which we werent offered either). They didnt offer any soy sauce for their dry rice either! Not once did they ask if we were ok or if we needed anything. And 5 minutes after we received our food we got our check, they didnt even ask if we were done. It was upsetting felt like we were being thrown our food and being kicked out. I honestly didnt even enjoy our food at all after the embarrasment. I did a horrible mistake bringing my family here, this used to be a fancy delicious restaurant. My kids couldnt even eat their food, the pork was too hard for them to chew! They didnt like the rice so I gave them some of my food and ate theirs. VERY disappointing!! Even my kids also noticed the difference in customer service WE got compared to everyone else in the restaurant.
They need to have better containers that hold the food in . So i order chix chop suey. It smelled great. But not even 10 min away from there shop it starts to leak out of the bag.i had to stop and pit it in a plastic bag all the juice burst into the cats carpeted . So since i was driving to thermal by that time the container was super soggy

Worst service. They never asked if we needed anything, water, soy sauce, andhot sauce. They brought us our check 5 mins after receivingour food. Felt like they werekicking us out. They threw the utensils on the corner of the table instead of setting them up. And the same with the food, they just threw them in the corner not asking whos plate was whos. Even my kids felt disrespected. Never been treated this horrible anywhere
I was not impressed at all with the food. Customer service was ok but at a almost 5 star i was expecting more. I ordered mixed veggies, lo mein, wontons, egg rolls, fried rice, mongolian beef, egg flower soup and it all seemed flavorless to me. For GOOD chinese food go south of the border in Mexicali :)
Raving reviews here so we went. All of the food we had contained a chemical taste. Everything from the soup, the eggrolls, the noodles and the meat all had a similar flavoring. Also, we ordered Potstickers and they told us no you ordered eggrolls. We know what we ordered and we never order eggrolls so.....
