2024-06-08 21:38:04This hotpot restaurant is perfect for both solo diners and groups looking to explore a variety of flavors. The ingredients are incredibly fresh and delicious. Unexpectedly, the cocktails and drinks are outstanding – the bartender truly deserves a raise! Additionally, theres no need to worry about leaving with food odors on your clothes. This place is a hidden gem and I highly recommend it, 100%!

2024-06-11 07:46:27This is Mumus fifth and newest location in the Bay Area. This location opened in early May. Came here on a Monday with a GF at 12:30p. There were plenty of tables available. Ordered the Mumu Signature for two people with Green Pepper and Curry broths...both were so flavorful. Our choice of two meats were Wagyu Beef Flat Iron & New Zealand Lamb, and two sides were tilapia fish & shrimp. Everything was high quality, good portions with nice variety of veggies and well presented. We were absolutely stuffed at the end. Service was very good, and staff were attentive & professional. Will definitely be back!

2024-06-08 07:32:39Mumu hot pot is always a staple for me and all my hot pot cravings. so when this new spot opened up i was sooo excited to stop by with my friend. we had originally stopped by during their soft opening but even then the quality was *chefs kiss*the aesthetics and vibes of this new location is also so different but their usual setup but definitely a luxurious feelingthose who been to other locations can probably attest to this as well - the food is delicious as usual and my most favorite thing about this new location is that there are TWO sauce bars and 5 gender neutral bathroom stalls and 3 shared sink space - v minimal design with faucet, soap, and hand dryer all in one area! would def recommend for yall to stop by and check it out 😎🤩service was also quick and attentivetips:- if you park at the bay street parking garage make sure to pay by scanning on the qr code located on the wall closest to you and put in your license plate and not the spot number- street parking available as well (i believe theyre metered)

2024-05-04 14:06:52I was able to attend the soft opening and had a really great time. It was my first Hotpot experience and I actually really enjoyed every aspect of it.Once you are seated, you scan a QR code at the table to order which was pretty convenient as you are able to add things to your order any time without needing to flag someone down. They will either put your payment method on file once you place your order, or you can also request to pay in cash/physically within the online ordering system and not have to do that.We didn’t have to wait very long for our food/ingredients haha - even on such a packed night at their opening!! Probably less than 5 minutes and everything was laid out on the table and the soup was bubbling and ready shortly after. There were two of us so we got the recommended signature platter (Two soup bases, two meats, two sides, two rice/noodle and a giant veg platter) for $75 (around $100 after tax and tip) which had more than enough food for us and what I feel was also a pretty great value. The Sichuan Base was warm and spicy, while the Mushroom Base had great umami flavor and was perfectly seasoned. I was able to feed this to a toddler, if that matters to anyone! We tried the wagyu and Australian chuck eye, both were truly great meats but I preferred the buttery-ness of the Australian chuck eye, which was a surprise. For our sides we ate fish tofu and South American Shrimp. These of course are incomparable as they are very different but made a great addition. I think the addition of seafood (or at least fishy flavor) was a smart balance. Our carbs of choice were the house ramen and instant ramen (again, fed instant ramen to the toddler) but made a great addition and was very filling. The vegetable platter was HUGE!! So many fresh ingredients and I got to try some things I never had before. There were lots of leafy greens like napa cabbage, spinach and bok choy. I cannot remember EVERYTHING but there were taro pieces, butternut squash, broccoli, corn, lots of different varieties of tofu/tofu skins, two types of mushroom and even rice cake (like the kind for tteokbokki)!! It all rounded out the meal and made it feel almost healthy hehe. The sauce station is lowkey a dream to go through, I had fun making a really yummy sauce and I don’t think you can pick anything here that would not:A. taste delicious and B. go well together. So add to your hearts desire! Make something great to add more flavor!!Overall, it was a fun eating experience, very fresh and delicious food, great vibes (and interior) AND super super filling. I would go here again and know that I’m gonna be stuffed by the end of the evening :-)

2024-05-05 03:19:25So glad this place FINALLY opened!!!We’ve been to a couple other locations in the Bay Area, so we were eager to see this place open as it’s much closer to home. The space is amazing… very open and bright! They also improved their QR menu ordering software so that was seamless too. Service staff were attentive and fast. This place is going to be a hit and we’ll be returning weekly!

2024-05-22 20:30:23Set menu only. You order from your phone and pay in advance. We were two people but got 2x single meat set because we didn’t want extra food that comes with two people set.You have to walk over to a station to get the sauce. The portion is large. You get raw veggies and meat and cook it in broth… I only got 1 sauce and it got boring so I would recommend getting a few different sauces. The food was good but nothing stood out.I am a fan of the ordering system although we forgot to order drinks and were too lazy to deal with placing a new order. The water was good, I think it is filtered.

2024-06-18 20:46:56The food and the price were good/fair, however, when it comes to getting things like utensils and napkins and things like that - I can’t order that on the app. So I have to ask for them and the servers look like I’m bothering when I ask for these things.Additionally, I wasn’t even done eating. I left my table and went to use the bathroom and it was cleared. I hadn’t even checked out yet and they threw my food away. The servers here need to learn some manners and if someone hasn’t checked out, don’t clear their table! Check first if they paid or not.

2024-05-06 22:22:45My wife and I love hotpot. My favorite had always been Mumu but with the locations in South Bay and Pleasanton too far, we had to make do with other restaurants - Shabu Club stands out - in SF. We tried Mumu’s new location in Emeryville and it even exceeded expectations. The service folks were fantastic and the decor is perhaps among the very best among restaurants - modern, futuristic, spacious, and fun. No reservations for smaller groups.
