Musashi Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar in Palm Desert

You definitely dont get an equal bang for your buck. If you order sushi service is fairly quick but anything other, IE tempura, you will have a decently long wait. I posted an updated menu, since most have outdated prices.

We love coming here for sushi. The staff is always so kind and courteous and the food is fantastic! We like to order lots of sashimi. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely- I always notice what nice music they play. We went on a recent Thursday evening and I didn’t think to make a reservation. They almost didn’t have room for us. Make a reservation ahead of time!

So being Hapa, I feel like I have an unjustified authority about reviewing Japanese food. But full disclosure, I’m the only Asian I the world allergic to any type of tuna so take it with a grain of salt. I’m sure the sashimi is delicious!But I’m kinda surprised that this place has been here for decades and I’ve finally tried it out. It’s such a great restaurant at pre-inflation pricing. There were no bad dishes here but the highlights were the seaweed salad and soft shell crab. Just an all around excellent Japanese cuisine.Also it is white table cloth so show some respect and dress up a bit. It’s pretty pathetic seeing dudes in gym shorts and backwards hats which in Japanese we call that; yabanjing.

Decent food but MOST AWFUL STAFF behind the counter giving us tons of attitude. The owners were friendly but not their entitled millennial employee allegedly of the opinion that guests exist purely for his personal convenience.My advice would be the owners chose their employees also based on their personalities. Now everyone is fit for customer service.

Overall good quality sashimi, soba noodles a bit soft.Back again in 2022, soba is still too soft. Sushi rolls are good.

My family and I have been going here since I was little and it’s always a 10/10. Their sushi is so fresh and amazing also recommend the chilean sea bass special. Warm and welcoming staff, Masao is the head sushi chef and he is so talented and kind. Highly recommend!!

Great Sushi, Melts in your mouth. Same Original Crew since I first went there over 25 years ago. Price is average for a sushi place, the Uni is very pricey at $30 but from Japan.

The food was delicious, it is fat-free food, the place is small but very beautiful, you can eat inside and outside, we were attended by a tall thin boy, very kind, good attention.
