Its been nearly a decade since Ive been to this Chicago-style hotdog spot. Definitely different than I remember, but the fire dog was still delicious (just less spicy than I remember). They didnt have so many options back then, or a Vietnamese menu (try the Vietnamese coffee here food stuff!), but I dug it.I need to come back and try the bakery items, they all looked so yummy 🤤😋!

This is the real thing. Even the dark relish. And the taste of the food was so good. I will definitely return to this place. I lived in Chicago over 20 years and this is the must genuine Chi-slyle restaurant outside of Chicago. I will recommend this place. Its the best!

Mustards has the feel of a place that has been serving these sandwiches for as long as Chicagoans have been making their way west on Route 66.

This was my 1st time at this location. I use to go to the Bixby Knolls location all the time until it closed.I ordered 2 Windy City Dogs (chili cheese dogs) along with an order of onion rings, an ice tea, and a maple bacon bar. The food was on point and did not disappoint. The buns were toasted just right and the chili had the right amount of spice. The snap of the hot dog was perfect.The staff was professional and were very nice. It may be a bit farther away but I will definitely be going back in the future.

Havent been here in years. Wont be going back anytime soon. Neither of us like our hot dogs. I did notice a customer eating a sandwich that looked delicious so maybe try that if there is a next time. Very disappointing. Used to love the hot dogs.

Excellent Chicago dogs and all the varieties. As a native of Chicago, I know what a Chicago dog is supposed to taste like, and they do a fantastic job here!! My daughter and I also always stop here after church on Sunday mornings and get a donut and a Sunny D. They are so polite and love to talk with their customers!

Seeing the reviews and recently coming over from Chicago after 45 years I need to try this place! Several things caught my eye! All beef Vienna hot dog, A MUST HAVE! and especially NO KETCHUP! The fixings look correct along with the sport peppers, onions, green relish, celery salt (the secret ingredient) wedge tomato, and of course the poppy seed BUN! I am on my way!!!!!!!!

By far the best hotdog and chili cheese fries in town! The orders come out fast and with a friendly smile! My FAVORITE hotdog joint!Edit: 8/23/18 just noticed its under new management (so far very friendly!) A plus is they will start to serve doughnuts and bagels in the am (Im sure all day) and now have lotto tickets (scratchers and what not)Update: 11/9/22 Im happy to say that nothing really has changed in the menu but, the restaurant did a few updates and moved some tables around to give it better... Fung shui I guess thats what you would call it :)

I like Mustards a lot. Especially the Windy City Chili Dog, and the soups. I eat there maybe once every couple of weeks, and tonight when I picked up my order, they were nice enough to give me a bonus! I got a donut in my bag as a little extra gift. Now, thats the kind of thing that really makes an impression on customers. Great food and nice, friendly owners.

I wish they opened earlier, but its worth the wait! If youre looking for high protein, low carb, I recommend the A6 (add sausage) . It looks weird, but its wonderful. The butter are really good too. If youre craving a Chicago style dog, you have found it!

I grew up in Chicago so this place had a high bar -- and boy did they clear it! Chicago char dog was spot on -- perfect snap on biting into the Vienna dog, plenty of bright green relish, nice kosher dill slice, tomatoes and, of course, good ol fashion yellow mustard! Perfection! Pretty good heap of shoestring fries.

Im from Chicago and this place serves real Chicago food. Their Italian beef is superb! Its a nice hearty size, filled with delicious thin Italian beef, the au jus is drinkable, the grilled onions, green peppers and giardineira add the right zing to the sandwich. The french fries were fresh and crisp. My sister had the Char-dog, also very tasty! Ill definitely be going back.

Hot dogs and donuts under the same roof. Giant checkers, lots of stuff on the walls, open space... This place has a great atmosphere, very small town and sporty, if that makes sense. They also have blended drinks, we had the green tea and it was really good! Kind of vanilla matcha-y. I definitely recommend it.

I really dont understand all the good reviews, maybe I just went on the wrong day I suppose. I was really looking for a good Chicago dog, so I tried Mustards. Upon entering, I liked the moms and pops feel to it. The server was a foreigner and I couldnt really understand him, but that wasnt the problem. The food was terrible, and made me feel sick an hour or two later. It definitely seemed that the workers were too lazy to provide quality Chicago dogs.

Ive been coming here with my military buddies for years! Always looked forward to their tasty food. Never ate anything I didnt like. These guys know what their doing. Anytime Im in the area. I havent been to a mustard restaurant in many years. A friend and I went here for dinner last week, and I can say they have changed for the worse. What used to be a unique experience eating chicago-style hot dogs has become a free-for-all with this location. I honestly cant think that a business would have such a selection, so this must be on the franchisee doing these types of items. This is a type of place that will sell you a hot dog, have donuts on display, and so lottery tickets behind the counter. This is more like a mini market convenience store, then it is a restaurant. The hot dog itself was rather bland. The hot dog was so small it was like eating mostly bread. The sauerkraut had a strange tang to it, and the relish was a day glow green

The reason mustards has changed for the worst is because the new owners who bought the shop about 2 and 1/2 years ago or three years ago didn’t not respect the past and they put in lotto ticket machines and donuts. I get making it your own but when it so suppose to be about Chicago hot dogs and Sports and has built in customers and you do not Alienate them or the military which I would say there quite often And handful of times I haven’t seen them and one of the things that I miss because I have been going there for years is the previous lady who I believe was the owner was so much more welcoming to guests. I have went a few times over the past three years but there seems to be no passion from the owners and like a previous post said it looks more like a mini mart or 24 hour drive thru donut shop.

Husband and I have been coming here for years and we love that it is so close to home. (support your local business, especially during these times).Please adhere to covid-19 guidelines. Masks are required. We need Mustards and Mustards need us.Service is always awesome here so it is most definitely appreciated.Anyway today we ordered the Chicago Works (hotdog with everything- onions, tomatoes, pickled green relish, pickle spear, sport peppers, mustard) Just like the ones in Chicago! So good! The only thing missing is a Cubs game at Wrigleys.And we split another dog with sauerkraut and everything. And the fried zucchini pairs well with the dogs.Donuts. dont forget to pick up a few donuts. We like the plain donuts and crumb. But they also have to fancy ones like red velvet donut and maple bacon bar. yum.Order big and tip big. Help our local businesses survive. and remember to stay safe.

I confess: I didnt have a hot dog. For some reason Ive never considered hot dogs a meal. I had a hamburger-fries combo-came with a small drink. It was a half-pounder and the meat looked hand formed and fresh. The fries were the thin kind but not shoestring fries. The burger had mushrooms, cheese, pickles, onion. The whole meal was just under ten bucks. It was about 1:30 in the afternoon so it wasnt crowded at all. The staff was pleasant in an officious way.

I was soooo happy to see Vienna Beef hotdogs in SoCal that I pulled over after driving by on the street just to try it out. It was really nice to have a treat like this in the area. Yum! I get the Sears Tower when I come to mustards. It has just about everything they offer on a foot long dog. I wish it was a foot long bun as well, but since you cant really pick it up u guess it doesnt matter. Lots of TVs playing sports, beer on tap, and a couple tables outside. The staff is always friendly and this place has a Pittsburgh vibe for some reason so Steelers and Penguins fans should really appreciate it.

The Hidden Gem between Madera Steakhouse and McDonalds in Los Alamitos. This place has been serving up a wide variety of hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, dinner platters and homemade soups for over 20 years! Never a bad meal at Mustards. Try the homemade potato bacon soup, brat plate with Dijon mustard, ribs, and the tri-tip platter. Mary will take care of you and has added breakfast, donuts, smoothies, and Lotto!
