I love it there! They get bahn mi on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays now, so just a heads-up for anyone going there soon – all gone on Saturdays now. Also,be sure to try the tempura seaweed snacks. Delicious!
This family-owned ethnic market has tons of authentic foods at good prices. They have ingredients you cant find elsewhere, and they have imported snacks and drinks that my kids love. The cashier is friendly and engaging. My family enjoys visiting this market.
My To-Go store! The owners are really nice and sociable. They always sell a variety of food and drinks of the same flavor (brand difference = different taste). I love the fresh veggies and frozen food to the canned aisle! Definitely a place to check out for Hmong items (ointment, skirts, pot/pans) and foods. :)
This is one of the best shopping spots in Chico. Great produce, great prices. They have these buns with a purple filling that are amazing. With the House of Rice gone from downtown this is one of the few places to locally get certain teas and treats. Always a pleasure to shop here.
Amazing hole in the wall shop. Everything you can think of to make Asian dishes. Staff is very helpful and friendly. He showed us where things we need were our first time coming into the shop. Prices are very cheap too!
Love love love their papaya salad 😋With the current pregnancy, I crave fresh foods and spicy foods. Hence papaya salad hits the spot. I have a wonderful husband who buys papaya salad from this place almost every other day. I am just so grateful they make the delicious papaya salad whenever I want and I have a husband who would get it anytime I ask. My favorite Asian store in Chico ♥
My son and I shopped here today for ingredients to make our first from-scratch Thai curry paste, and the young man behind the counter was so friendly and helpful! Very good inventory. I will definitely come back to shop again.
The folks who run the store are awesome, they have a great selection and are always super sweet.
Love this sweet Asian Grocery Store. They have a great assortment of noodles, sauces, and spices to cook Vietnamese food, and stir fries. Also love their fresh Asian vegetable section which includes mushrooms, tofu, green leafy produce for soups and stir fries.
I recently moved to Chico from Sacramento. In Sac asian markets have really taken off within the last ten years. Being someone who was raised there though, MNY Oriental market takes me back to when I was a child. When the local asian market was just a small shop that was crammed with amazing ingredients that are hard to find and amazingly priced.Its nostalgic but definitely a positive outlook on this place. I hope they can grow and expand in the future.With that said... The selection at this place is incomparable to others when you are looking for asian ingredients in the area. The people who run this place are knowledgeable and always willing to help you find a product. So, if youre in the area and want to find some amazing ingredients at good prices, definitely stop by.

Its cold and rainy. I wanted to make pho. Ive never made it before, but everyone says its medicine for the soul. I went to M N Y Oriental Market to get ingredients, and the cashier was very helpful. I told him I was making pho, and he helped me find the fresh rice noodles, pho spices, and suggested other ingredients I might like. Very friendly, very helpful, and I found everything I needed. This is service that you dont get at bigger grocery stores.
We just moved to Chico from the SF Bay Area. My wife and I were very pleased to find this market. They have a good selection of just about everything my wife loves. This will surely become one of our top shops in Chico. Thanks guys!
I drive here from Oroville because they have the best selection in Butte County. The only place you can you get pho spices prepackaged so you just throw it in, szechuan peppercorn, black vinegar, and all the other stuff that real Eastern cooking is about. Kick it up another notch guys, throw in some cooking demos, gourmet soy derivatives, better product presentation esp. in the freezer section.

2023-02-19 20:59:45Well stocked Asian market that leans slightly towards southern Asian ingredients. They have a great fresh foods area with fresh mushrooms and produce. Nothing is labeled with the prices and the pricing is a little high but considering it’s in Chico with less overall demand this is understood. The manager is very helpful and knows everything that’s in the store so if he is around and you’re looking for something in particular it’s worth asking him.

Wide assortment of items packed into a small store. Highly recommend for your oriental food fix. Japanese, Chinese and Thai items in stock. Also various fresh veggies available. Still looking for personal chopsticks 🥢. Hate using disposable ones they give you at the restaurant.

2022-02-20 23:22:23This place is good enough. The family is nice, but the guy at the register is a perv. He seems helpful to only women and hes always staring at my chest when im paying at the counter. Gives me the creeps tbh. I also noticed how they sell old stuff that are almost rotten and make into the pepper sauce/pickled veggies. My stuff grew mold in it after a couple of days.
