2023-12-07 02:12:54Great kalguksu, huge portions, and amazing kimchi. We ordered the original and spicy noodle soup it hit the spot. We were feeling a little under the weather but the noodle soup is was warmed us right back up.With that being said the portion sizes were huge. We chowed down and ate as much as we could and it felt like we didnt make a dent. I would recommend if your going for 2 people to get 1 order of kalguksu and 1 dumpling to share. The spicy noodles were really spicy and that is what I was looking for. But it can be really spicy and may ruin the meal for non spicy food lovers. Out of the 2 I would definitely recommend the original as that is the best representation of kalguksu!

2023-10-29 20:13:19Simple home meal vibes.White kimchi was sour and delicious! Their spicy kimchi was also very fresh and SPICY!Got their dumpling, came out hot and steamy. It was well seasoned and definitely need to dip it in vinegar to help with digestion because it a big chunk of meat dumpling.Their noodle was good, hot soup with some dumplings, veggies, minced pork.

2023-11-05 05:59:42Seems like theyre always under construction, whether its the restaurant itself or the strip mall. There is no permanent sign outside the restaurant as of October 2023, but somehow the restaurant is still always so busy.Obviously the kalguksoo noodles are excellent. This is why the restaurant exists and why most people come here. But not to overlook are naengmyun (cold noodles), spicy cold kimchi noodle soup, and the dumplings. Pretty much everything is very good actually.

2023-08-25 22:25:10Good authentic food with good service. I went for the first time a month ago and I have been back three times since. The prices aren’t cheap, $18 or so for a bowl of noodles, but I feel like it’s worth it. The dumplings are probably my favorite from Korean restaurants. This place comes with a young or fresher kimchi so for the uninitiated, might not be your thing, but it works with the food here.I’ve been picking up different dishes for my Korean mother who is in a nursing home near by and she has also enjoyed the food.Would recommend you try the cut noodles once, the spicy one, if you like Korean food and haven’t tried this dish.

2023-11-16 17:58:47Food is very overpriced in my opinion. I ordered kalgooksoo (hot noodles), that I couldnt believe it was $18. It was one of the worst hot noodles I ever had. I dont know if they make noodles or gyoza by themselves but food tasted like frozen one.The service was very good surprisingly. He was very gentle and caring customers.I noticed that some of reviews here complaining about homeless and weird people just outside the restaurant. And I agree with them. My wife wanted to go to another one at first because the area doesnt seem safe.Anyway, I left good tips for his good service but I will never come to this place again unfortunately.

2022-04-23 00:18:14Who’s down for Korean noodles?Highlights of the menu:1. Dumpling soup2. Spicy chewy noodles3. Bibimbap4. Beef bulgogiThis place is so good for comfort food. They offer a lot of noodles types that are really good. The flavors are very great reminds me of the noodles I had when traveled to Korea! The service is super good as they’re quick and very nice. They have the normal kimchi and white kimchi, I always love banchan!

2019-11-05 18:04:40This place is delicious. Especially the shrimp dumplings. Love how extra noodles are free and unlimited and they give you a whole new bowl with veggies. The service is good but slow and honestly for a bowl of noodles, a bit too pricey. Id rather have a choice to get a less expensive one without free extra noodles. One bowl is plenty.

2023-11-23 02:47:21Heard of this place first in LA’s Koreatown and was happy they have a location close to me. It’s in a sketchy and dead strip mall but should be more lively soon with the opening of a Seafood City in the same plaza. We ordered the knife-cut noodles in chicken broth, the pan-fried dumplings and dumpling soup. Noodles were cooked perfectly, the broth is very tasty, and the 2 or 3 dumplings inside was a nice touch for a noodle dish. I thought the pan-fried dumplings were really good too as a side and easy to share. I didn’t try the dumpling soup but my friend seemed to like it. They give generous portions and I ended up taking home leftovers.MDK is very no-frills. Come for good Korean comfort food and not fancy dining. You’ll also get some banchan when you order but I personally wasn’t a fan of the kimchi since I didn’t find it as sweet as some other places. Overall, can’t go wrong. I also placed some orders for take-out before and they come in nicely packaged boxes with all the things you need, including a side of kimchi.
