Achar Chicken is my favorite and so very good. Friendly service. Chicken Tikka masala is so delicious and rice pudding is a must try! Lamb vindaloo and palak paneer are always on point too!

Ugly place, awesome food!! The food gets a 5 Star from me. The place gets a 3 at best! Looks like the people running it know a lot as far as the kitchen is concerned, but not much as far as decor, keeping a clean pleasant attractive facility, and pretty much anything having to do with running a restaurant. But the food was yums for sure!!

Really good food, easily the best in the city at this price. Everyone who works here is super nice, the portions are big, and the food is really good across the board. I can’t say I’d suggest eating inside, but the food travels really well and everyone knows that Indian food is generally best eaten as takeout.My only complaint is the naan. For a place called Naan N Curry, they’ve got pretty mediocre naan - it’s pretty dry, a tad stale, and really bland. But the food makes up for it!

Ordered 30 minutes before close, told me to be there in 20 minutes. Got there exactly at the 20 minute mark and the restaurant is pitch black with no one inside. I mean… really dude? Just tell me you are no longer taking orders next time. Not a cool move.Update: I visited a months later late night, employee was friendly and to go food was great. Hopefully the first experience was just a fluke.

The best Indian/Pakistani food I ever had during my stay abraod. My workplace was at 525 Market street and this palce was walkable distance, if not take a bus ride. At least 2 Fridays in a month was must to be here. All food are unique and ultimate at taste. I tasted each and every dish and never found any average dish. So, for me its very difficult to chose the best dish, all equally good. Americans who are not habituated with spicy food, should avoid this palce. The surrounding place is shady, awkward, dirty, old fashioned, no care but this is an oasis in the place. Local notorious used to ask me Are you pakistani?, it was post 2001, and used abusive words, hurling scathing comments and F**k words. That was only the bad experience. However, to taste the best, you can always ignore the bad experience at surroundings.

The quality of the food here has steadily deteriorated. Our recent delivery of flavorless biryani, burnt and overcooked chicken tikka tandoori, mediocre potato vindaloo and really tough chicken tikka masala, was disappointing. We wont be ordering anytime soon. Its really quite sad as this was a place we ordered from often in the past.

Self served Indian cuisine. Simple as it can get. If youre expecting waiters and waitresses, dont. They have cooks and when you order, theyll bring the food to you. Drinks, plates and cutlery are all available for you after you order and get your number. Theres soda and from what I can tell, milk tea or chai tea. I cant tell to be honest because one, its free and two its very fitting with the meals here. You dont need to be fancy here. Come here with a group, a date or even yourself.The portion here is huge. Basically order whatever curry you want then order your naan breads. I recommend the garlic and cheese naan bread. Theyre handmade and made hot when served. Its DELICIOUS especially when eaten as soon as you get your entree or plate of curry.Aside from that you can order specialty drinks off their menu like the mango smoothie thing which I cant remember off the top of my head but its really good.All in all good place to eat if youre in the area. And its open later than most the restaurants around here!

What a nasty dirty place. Feels like a poor ghetto from back in India. Ordered two piece of tandoori chicken. One was burned the other one was burned and looked like somebody ate half of it. Really disgusting. Probably wont go to an Indian restaurant for a while and definitely not back to this one. Oh and there were two literally two pieces of lettuce and one end of an onion.

I love to support a family business but the employees were rude. I asked for a to go order, portions are small in comparison for the price. I had to ask for part of my order again since they forgot it. They gave me my juice in a food container. Not sure how I’m supposed to drink my juice out of a bowl ? Over charged.. food also tastes bland / school food. I wish I read the reviews first.

The lady was constantly arguing that everyone thinks their food is fine. We spent almost $300 and we left all our plates FULL on the table. The meat had bad smell and rice was all soggy, when we told the old lady she straight up refused to accept. My friend asked the other lady (possibly the chef) that there’s no butter on butter naan and she said there’s butter and came back later with an excuse that she wasn’t told that we ordered butter naan. I have never seen any resturant that dirty and bad lighting plus the attitude was as if we were getting free food...We paid about 200$ for wasting the food we ordered because it wasn’t clean and tasted awful…

If I could put 0 stars I would. Yesterday my husband and I ordered some food from this restaurant through Grubhub. While I was eating I started to feel something hard in my mouth. I spit it out and I found out that it was a 2 inches metal wire! I was beyond disgusted. I can’t even imagine how their kitchen looks like. I honestly believe there is some serious hygiene issues there. For your own safety, you should avoid ordering food at this place. I will NEVER do this mistake again.

Hands down the worst Indian food I’ve ever had, especially for someone who grew up having Desi food. All dishes have WAY to many spices and they’re extremely oily. Had the chicken tikka masala and lamb vindaloo, and those are the two dishes I 100% do NOT recommend.I really try to avoid writing negative reviews, but man this place is atrocious. Very surprised that a place like this is still in business given how many good restaurants are around it.

This is one of the most amazing dirty looking restaurant Ive been to. This is 100% legit what it feels like to be in a Pakistani dhaba style restaurant. The food is excellent, had the chicken Biryani and creamy Goat curry; both tasted excellent and portion sizes were big and pieces of meat were plenty and tender and juicy. Yes the decor is not good and the service is non existent but thats exactly how it is in Pakistan. The people running the place are nice people but theyre not gonna run around serving you, the expectation is that you grab your own utensils, napkins, water, etc so it feels exactly like home. With a Pakistani news channel blaring in the background on the TV, it is a very typical dhaba setting

We had a fantastic time coming here after its been YEARS since the last time. I ordered chicken Tikka Masala and my wife got spicy lamb Tikka, and it was literally the experience you dream of. It was everything I remembered it being over 10 years ago and it was so delicious. This is one of the best Indian food that Ive had. Very authentic and the spice level is just right. Usually all the other Indian restaurants Ive been to has very similar tasting curry for different dishes, but Ive tried 4 different dishes at this place and each of them was significantly different (and tasty) from one another. The lamb curry is a must have with some fresh naan. Price wise its pretty cheap but it comes with really good service. Im guessing they deliver too so its a must try if youre in or around that area.

Pretty disappointing, unfortunately. The portion sizes are pretty small for the price you pay (I paid $11 for lunch and ended up going home and making myself a sandwich). While my vindaloo was spicy enough, it wasnt well-seasoned - just hot, with no flavor behind it.I did think the customer service was pretty good.

I love this place! My partner and I lived in SF for years and would eat here all the time. We moved to the Central Valley and go back every couple months to order food now. I am honestly posting this in the hopes that the owner will realize the true need for a naan n curry to be in the Lodi or Stockton area, the Indian food out here is horrible in comparison to the food in San Francisco. Please, please hear my cry for good Indiana food, we promise to be at said new hopeful location at least once a week and I am sure everyone I know will be there too.

Not clean, the benghan bartha had almost no vegetables. The chicken was bland. The tables were a nasty sticky mess. The fridge that held the beverages looked like it had not been cleaned in a month.And for all this, it really is not inexpensive. This place is always busy for take out. The food is decent for the price. I like to get the butter chicken with rice and nan. Years ago it used to be a much bigger dining area but they sold the other half of the store. I never really dined in before but they have a few tables to enjoy your food.

This was the first place since covid I have eaten out. There was no one inside the restaurant so myself and 2 vavved friends decided to eat inside. What a fun meal. The garlic naan is so good order one apiece. The curries, paneer etc were all delicious. This is not 5 star food, but good food at a fair price. They were doing many take out orders. They worst Indian food hands down. canned garbanzo beans with curry throwing together and barely stirred, you can actually taste and feel the graininess of the curry, Your better off making your own Indian food at home. The Naan was not fully cooked and doughy. And with the cashier not being friendly at all and rude, it’s not worth taking anything back and getting it fixed. This place expects you to order and pay at the front, take a number, find your own table, then they bring your food to you. Dont do what I did: wait in vain for traditional waiter service... This place does not serve alcoholic beverages.

We had catered from this location for our parents 60th wedding anniversary. The food was delivered 1:25 hours late. Even though I had told them weeks before and last spoke to them on 12/22 and shared the importance of on time delivery.In addition the food was less and one of the items we ordered was mixed tandoori and we only receive chicken tandoori and no kebabs.I would not recommend any of my friends to use this location for catering.

UPDATE- I am not sure what is going on with the people that run this place but the food has become disgusting. Nothing they have made since last summer is consistent. They have random relatives and etc behind the counter and dropping in and out of the restaurant. It feels like you are intruding in them entertaining their friends and fam even though you paid to eat there as well. The food now tastes like complete waste. I will not eat here again until they change their ways. I am not sure if the main family left and someone else took over or what is going on. It sucks. Avoid at all costs. Giving two stars comes from the service and the food. When picking up food, I stated my name. The individual just handed me the food and said no words to me. Then upon opening the bag. The paper bags were soggy wet as were the samosa and Naan. I had to air fry the Naan and samosas to be cooked. While flavorful, the sogginess and service made me give 2 stars.

Great tasting food, and the prices seemed great at first, but the amount of edible food on the plate was disappointing. For $8 we received 6 small pieces of paneer floating in a soup of sauce: hardly an entree! Same disappointing portions for the lamb and cauliflower as well. The naan was cooked to perfection, however, and that nearly made up for it. I would come back for the buffet instead.

Almost every time I have tried to order something vegetarian, they run out of it. The base of the curry is not well-balanced in flavor (too heavy on tomatoes), and their naans are never tasty! They are so hard and stale. Naans should be much more soft and fluffy!! I wont be coming back here. If you are coming here for convenience, then its okay, but if you want good indian food, this is NOT the spot.

Rude attitude, employees are not helpful, after ordering the cashier didnt give us a receipt or a number for the table, my friend got sick from the food, we got dessert but the people up front were so rude and wouldnt give us their attention, not until after 30 min of trying to get their attention they responded to get our dessert. I have a lot of nostalgia attached to Naan N Curry after 10 years of eating their low cost and delicious Indian food. After being gone for nearly five years I was excited to introduce my son to their amazing chick tikka masala. I was extremely disappointed! It was “ok” but nothing like it was before. The place on Irving was dirtier than than I remember and the food not near as good... with the exception of the naan. The Naan was great! But the tikka masala tastes like a spiced up tomato soup and lacked all the creaminess. I rated them three stars because it was “ok” and I have great memories of the “good old days” but it is a place I have checked off my list, “been there, done that”, and have no need to return.

It is the shittiest place for Indian cuisine. The naan is over sized, at least have the courtesy to inform the customers about the size else they will end up ordering more than required leading to wastage of a lot of food. The food tasted stale. I am an experienced vegetarian foodie and all I talk would be about vegetarian food. All you hungry chaps out there wanting to eat vegetarian ... you can rely on my review.Never eat samosas at an Indian restaurant. They always and almost always contain stale food from yesterday, sometimes it would stink of going bad.Quantity : Five stars! A lot of food on the table if you think you havent ordered enough.Quality: If you dont cook authentic Indian at home, you would not know how bad the tastes are. For example, if you ordered garlic naan, the doh should contain garlic and not the garlic paste applied on top of the naan. It just doesnt taste good.Note: Indian food is a very cultured cuisine and not some arbitrary mixture of elements. It takes right set of ingredients, an evolved procedure and accurate timing to get the perfect flavor out that many cant achieve. If you want the worst example that even a person not having great taste-buds to understand ... try here!Bottomline: I went in hungry and came out unsatisfied never to return ... and standing outside I was wondering if WOW stands for worst of the Worst Of Worst!

Years ago the food prep was disconcertingly uneven. We eschewed the place when any but hardcore Indian food lovers were in our party. The food was woefully inadequate for kids.No longer. After dozens of meals here over the last two years I have to confess this is now one of my favorite places. Just the smell is enough to enchant. The chicken tikka marsala has been very even. The boneless chicken tandoori washed is great for kids, along with rice and tomatoes.Sadly, lamb keema nann and lamb seekh kebab have disappeared (from several local places; perhaps due to the recession).The lassi are good, the marsala tea (chai) is wonderful.

I love this place so much! They have HUGE, yummy naan and delicious, super creamy paneer tikka masala. I order delivery from this place all the time (like a ridiculous amount...) and they have only ever gotten my order wrong once, and promptly sent over the right stuff. Just eat here.
