Narumi Sushi in La Mesa

Absolutely love this place! Food is amazing, prices are great for the amount of food you get! The spam musubi’s taste delicious! The salmon bowl is very tasty and very filling. The staff are very friendly. The location is small but thankfully there is always seating available when we come. I will definitely be back again!

Amazing sushi... absolutely love it here! The protein rainbow roll is out of this world, sashimi & carpaccio are quality, and the prices are fair. My friend and I regularly order from here, and weve never been disappointed. Take-out only, so thats the only reason its average for atmosphere.

TAKEOUT ONLY, even if you want to eat there, you would have to buy at the counter, and eat out of to-go containers. I ordered a beer (large Asahi), it was opened and I was handed a thin plastic water cup, omg. Generally, the food is fine, pretty good, and reasonably priced. A bit too much green onion on their rolls - simple yellowtail roll and scallop roll really dont need a bunch of green onion as topping (not that I dont like green onion, I just dont think they are needed here). And a couple of my rolls are all fallen apart (not closed up, rolled up properly.... )

Delicious sushi and sides. Can’t wait to go back!Everything was very reasonably priced. We met a couple there and together our bill was $120 (and we got at least 6 sushi rolls and three sides plus alcohol).

First time trying this place. Just a heads up, the place is tiny (two tables and some counter space) so its more of a order ahead and pick up type of place. The food is served in styrofoam containers but man is it gooooood. Ordered the spam musubi, chicken katsu curry (which is hard to find outside of Convoy), crunch roll. Generous servings. The katsu curry entree was huge. Im sure Ill have enough curry for leftovers for days. Will definitely be ordering again.

Used to be soooo yummy and tasty!!! Since 2022 the quality has totally changed. I used to buy ALL the time and devour it. Now, for the last year, I’ve kept buying but barely can eat it anymore (I just keep hoping after so many years being devoted). I don’t think I’m going to go there any longer!! Things are very different tasting since the middle of the pandemic???

No dine in services! Great menu, great value for musubi lowest price and the biggest I’ve seen. The sushi was good but kinda small, there is no dine in services you can eat inside but they don’t serve you and there is no restroom for dinners.

I’ve eaten here before and I’ve had no issue, however this time was different. Not only did my food look weird but about an hour after eating it I got immense stomach pain. I later woke up that night with the overwhelming feeling that I was going to throw up, and I threw up at least 8 separate times. It’s important to mention that I felt completely fine this day, I went to work just fine and had no issues until after I ate from here. This is the worse case of food poisoning I’ve ever had, and it makes me think the kitchen has contamination issues. They probably touched my food with the same hand/glove that they touched raw fish with, all of the seafood in my order was precooked.

No smile, greetings, and thank you when handing out the order. Lacking of basic skill for customer service. Should tell all your customer who pick up, “all utensils, soy sauce and wasabi are inside” so they don’t need to ask. Don’t leave your counter before your customer leave the door, it gave a rude impression by doing it.Food was good tho, shout out to the chef.But lacking of service are one of the reason customers don’t go back. Your call.

If you dont know much about Sushi, this is the perfect place. Upon walking in to Narumi for the 1st time, all I heard was the cooking staff cursing and making quite derogatory remarks in Spanish. I speak Spanish, so it was not lost on me.The food was decent, but just not real Sushi. It was better than say Smart & Final or Frazier Farms, but that isnt saying much.
