This place is really beautiful. Beautiful decor inside and very nice staff. I went to the grand opening on the 10th and the food was delicious. The place had a new owner and the area was very clean. Would recommend if you are in the area

Honestly this was not a good experience. I ordered online, arrived 15min after the pickup window, and it still wasnt ready. The whole place was dark and they didnt answer the phone when I called, I had to come near the kitchen to get their attention and then I waited 18 minutes to get my food even though the food was supposed to be ready before I even arrived... that would have been fine for me if the food was good but it really wasnt.The chicken tikka masala did not come with rice which was super disappointing because I had to make some at home which took extra time and ingredients when I just wanted dinner. It is absolutely way too expensive to not come with rice. For $17, I really would like rice. The texture if the tikka masala was really weird and it just did not taste good. Not subtly sweet at all, not memorable, not worth it.We also ordered chicken biryani. The chicken on both dishes tasted like shredded chicken, like it was frozen before, and I dont know if thats true or not but thats how it tastes. The texture and taste were insanely bland. The aloo paratha was not my favorite and left a gross taste in my mouth. I liked the laccha paratha which is why this review has 2 stars...Also, the online ordering system on their website is weird about tips. I tried to manually type in a custom tip and when I added it, it automatically added the highest default tip option with no way to remove it! I like tipping food service workers well because its respectful so I left it on but was disappointed there was no way to alter it on their website without redoing the entire order. Also, after the experience I had and the dismissive way staff treated me in store, I dont really feel it was deserved.I would not recommend Aroma, sorry.
This review should be a zero star review, as there was NO FOOD actually received.On August 2nd, we placed an order with Aroma Indian Banquet and Grill in Upland, CA. We were told to pick up the order at 965 W. Foothill Blvd and to say we had ordered with Postmates.Upon arriving at this address, after knocking, a man came out and told us that the business has a new owner and that they are no longer a functional business.We tried many times to contact the restaurant and never got a human being. Same with PostmatesThis amounted to over a $100 charge on our credit card, and we need a refund immediately. This is incredibly horrible business practice on the part of Postmates.
ZERO STARS ACTUALLY, I ordered through DoorDash only for them to lie and tell the Dasher that they are under new ownership and are no longer functioning. Asked for my refund IMMEDIATELY. Don’t order from here.
Ordered food over the phone from here this past Sunday for the first time after having high expectations and I ended up being extremely disappointed and upset. Ordered naan, samosas, and 2 chicken 65 and it was all bad - every piece of naan was burnt, the samosas were very greasy and I was given 2 chicken curries of some sort rather than chicken 65. The restaurant was already closed by the time I got home with the food. I had to cook my family something to eat for our iftar because what we were given was not edible.
Came to lunch with our team and it was just delicious. Food is savory, so happy they have the lunch buffet because you cannot leave without tasting everything twice. I was shocked that they had fish, goat, and chicken in their buffet as many places will only have 2 of those dishes, and not all 3. I will request we go here again for a team lunch, this place will not disappoint.
Best Indian food around, champagne brunch is great, cant beat the price for great Indian food and champagne. The Lion Beer is very good as well. I just wish there was chicken vindaloo more often, even a small pan of it, because if you are lucky and they have it for the brunch it is pretty much heaven on a plate but due to its spicy nature I have only seen it once at the buffet. The waiters are always quick and courteous and friendly. I really love this place.
Ever since I tried this place Indian food, I just felt in love with it. I had tried other Indian food restaurants and the food and service are not near close to what Aroma Indian Grill has to offer. The taste of the food is amazing, the place is elegant and clean, the service is outstanding and the buffets price is family friendly. Oh and the naan bread is delicious. I will continue going to this place with my whole family. Ever since I first tried Indian food, they are my number one place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone who has a great taste buds for awesome food.
Delicious! I cant say that I have a sharp palette for Indian food, but it is really good. Cheap lunch special, all you can eat. Staff is on point kept the bread coming because it was amazing and waters topped off. Check was very cheap. I highly recommend this place.
Very nice event venue and banquet hall. Small but roomy. Theres a wooden dance floor and the rest of the space is carpet. They have tables and chairs available and decor is simple but not obtrusive. Plenty of space for a buffet dinner and there is an attached bar area. Restrooms are conveniently placed outside the reception area and the entrance is separate.
We ordered food and it was delicious! We got the chicken korma, malai Kosta, and more! All was sooooo good! We got home and was missing an item but we called and they offered to deliver it to us! Excellent service and quality of food! We will go back over and over again!
Food was not fresh at all. Seemed reheated multiple times to the extent that the paneer cheese was so hard and chewy. Chicken kabob was not good either. Will not order from there again. Waste of money.
This place is amazing. The staff was incredibly gracious and on spot with their service. Absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere. The buffet is moderately priced but considering that they didnt charge extra for the mango Lassi I would have to say that they are a very good value for the price. WOW, does that word give this place justice? No, honestly I am a big fan of Asian food and during this pandemic time I was not sure if we should even have or order takeout. So glad we did! The food was spectacular and I can’t highly recommend this place more! They were very health conscious and with this pandemic that matters to me most. Definitely recommended!
First time dining on Indian cuisine so dont have much to compare to but everything was delicious. You can tell well made season was in point. The service was also great definitely recommend and Ill be back to try the lunch.
Lunch is a 5 star experience. For 10$ a seat, you get a buffet lunch with excellent Indian food in a nice venue with very attentive staff. Dinner is a much more expensive experience, and will run about $25 a person with no buffet option. If you are eating lunch anywhere in the area, you will be amazed with Aroma. It is literally one of the best places I have ever eaten lunch in my life.
Absolutely delicious I have eaten there 3 times always ordered something different from the last and all are delicious. The service is great and they are always checking to see if you are needing anything. I highly recommend to everyone I know.
The food was good. I got the chicken curry with mild spice, w/rice. It was a lot more spicy then expected but still yummy. Staff was friendly. Food was still piping hot when I got home. Will go again.

Went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday, is nice and clean. Service was slow, I waited for my to go order for about 30 minutes. I ordered Paneer Tikka Masala it was delicious! It came with a side of rice and garlic Naan big portions excellent price. The only reason im giving it 3 stars is for the slow service, and because my order of Gulab Jamun was missing 😩
Updated review. At one time, this was the best around. I dont know what happened, but the food simply doesnt have the richness and complexity it once had. My recommendation - buy entree, bring it home, but add more veggies and cooked protein. Then the meal will last longer and be more satisfying.
It was delcious, the flavor and seasoning are truly authentic. Their cuts of meat are fresh with little to no game at all. Lorenzo and his staff always take care of all of their clients in a timely fashion with kindness and courtesy.
This is my second experience at this location; I was introduced to Indian food here and fell in love with it, the buffet is GREAT for a first timer to try many different dishes at once. The food/staff and atmosphere together make for an enjoyable meal.
Aroma has a very clean, well maintained space, separating the restaurant and banquet facilities.Lunch buffet was good, could use a little bit more attention, but everything was good. Nice lunch on a rainy day.
Ate the seafood platter. Food was delicious. The tandoori seasoning was evident in the fish and shrimp. Enjoyed the meal with rice and nan bread, and cucumber/tomato salad. The table condiments- mint, chili, and plum were very good.
We rented the banquet room for our son wedding rehearsal dinner. The new owner quoted a price per person and never mentioned a minimum. We made all the arrangements and once we finalized the head count 38. I was told by him a week before the event that he could not host the event unless the head count was 50. It was too late to book something else. He required us to pay for 50. He made derogatory comments about the white people not understanding how business works to our future Indian inlaws. At the event when we were asked to pay the balance. We were the told that he could not accept credit cards. We were not told this prior and had paid the deposit with a credit card. In our formal wear we did not have cash or check book with us. He had the wait staff tell us that he could accept a credit card but would charge an extra 5%. We own a business and are fully aware that the maximum the credit card companies charge is 3.75%. He was clearly just trying to take further advantage. The owner is a crook. I do not recommend patronage of this restaurant.
Good customer service, great lamb dishes, really good mango lassy. Their veggie rice is a little over priced. I usually just go for thir lunch buffet; It is more reasonably priced. There is not a very large selection of food at the buffet but what they have is definetly worth the money due to the quality of the food.
Good food with an ambience that feels casual and modern. Tried the lunch buffet ans it was well worth the price. The food was fresh and there were plenty of options for all palates of all kinds. We drove 25 minutes to get there, but in the end, it was worth it.
I can not believe that this place is still open after the new owner has been ruining it since his first day. Hes unprofessional and very rude.We had aour Wedding reception here in October 2018 and he took it upon himself to change our chosen entree of traditional Chile Verde Pork to some type of boiled dark chicken meat in a soup like broth, without ANY consent....and then admits fault but tells me its not a big deal.To this day, I still cant believe those words from a so called Business owner/manager.Luckily, it was by TEXT and were in the process of handling this issue in court.Avoid this place.
The buffet is okay, I find that the chicken is usually dry and the veggie dishes arent very appealing to the eye. I wish there were more options available but it is a good place to go to if you want to have a little of everything.
I ate dinner delivered by Aroma at a dinner party. Delicious food with perfect chilli in spices. Felt it was cooked with the right and healthy ingredients.
Excellent Service and Excellent Food.The place is very clean, and the staff do an excellent job of making sure that customers are comfortable. They have buffets as well as a regular menu. While customers are seated, the staff comes and quickly refills glasses or provides nan (or chapatis & rotis if requested). Also, Aroma serves real Indian beers like Taj, Kingfisher, and UB Lagers.The few downsides - they generally serve Indian food that are familiar to Americans. So, do not expect to find Goan, Anglo-Indian, or other regional cuisines. Also, they do not have the famous Indian soda - Thumbs Up.Other than that, Aroma serves great food at a great price. They also offer catering services.
Nice setting, courteous service and the food is always delicious. Buffets are good! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Try the daal and smoked eggplant. My family says the chicken tikka masala is great!

EXCELLENT food, service, and decor!They are also very accommodating.We arrived at 4:26pm and the staff was pleased to seat us even though they were still preparing for dinner service.We studied the menu for a while and eventually requested special orders not on the menu which they were glad to do.Unfortunately there was a mistake with my order in that I requested very spicy (9/10), but it tasted like it had no spice at all (0/10). I hesitated to send it back but they assured me it was no problem. I got it back VERY quickly and I could immediately smell the spice which tasted great!I especially want to thank the manager Isaac Roger & our server Mastan Singh for a very pleasant experience. We will definitely be back!Isaac even gave us some great cooking tips!Overnight marinade for meats:Yogurt, tumeric, chili, garlic, mint.Special curry mix:Finely ground, then lightly heat to release flavor/aroma: mustard seed, poppy seed, curry leaves, dry red chilis.
Food is very flavorfull. When entering the resturant the atmosphere was calm. Staff was polite and my meal was served fast. I would recommend this place to try new food.
I went their 3 times. First 2 times it was ok. But our 3rd trip was not a good experience. Order for lassi ..they never served it. Find roaches on the table where we were eating. We killed one it was really close to our food. Also order a mix tanduri plate. It suppose to have shrimp in it. But when the order came there were no shrimp there. I ask the waiter about it and he said sorry the cook forget to put shrimp there. So to bring the shrimp we got to wait another 15 min. Service was ok..but it was slow. It take forever to get the food. Not happy at 3rd time..may NOT GO THERE AGAIN. . Specially after seeing the roaches.

The things they do to chicken here -- so spicy and tender, just dreamy. They trim the fat/cartilage so cleanly, too. Try the goat curry, which melts in your mouth (just watch out for bones, its legit). But the best of all is the chicken tikka masala, unparalleled!!

I was a door dash driver. I got their early and was kindly told at first it be a 5-10 mintue wait....FIVE TO TEN MINUTE WAIT. I was there for 45-60 mintues.ABOUT AN HOUR. I was waiting trying to get the waiter and waitress attention they ingored me and when i FINALLY. Talked to the lady in charge she said give me a momemt ill check....she came back 15 mintues later after checking up on another custmer that came after me. I dont like to complain but even though i wasmt a custmer . the CUSTOMER THAT PAID AND ORDERED. WAITED 45 MINTUES EXTRA. Its unfair to door dash drivers and customers that most merchants treat online orders as last priority. My first time experiance here was aweful as a door dash driver and could ne potential client i dont recommend door dashing here.

2020-01-30 04:11:04The dining rooms are clean and attractively appointed. The menu includes a wide variety of traditional Indian dishes including Tandoori chicken, lamb, goat and vegetables. A number of appetizers, rice dishes and breads are also available. The garlic Nan is my favorite. Dishes are big enough for two and the prices are reasonable for the quality and size. Our server JP, was friendly and attentive. We will definitely return soon.

2017-07-10 18:40:54The food here is very filling. Last night ordered the non vegetarian dinner for two. It was delicious. From start to finish. There was enough food to feed 3 to 4 people. It is a little pricey for two people but it was worth it for the amount of food you get. You get pre appetizer, soup, appetizer, 3 main course,garlic naan,rice and a dessert. Its great because you get to try a little of everything if you have self control, and all for $40.00. The waiter was super polite and friendly. Will definitely be coming back for more. I think I found my new favorite Indian restaurant. Next time Ill be coming for the lunch buffet.

After being a reviewer for 5 years, I didnt think I could be surprised anymore, but here I am. And the lamb was PHENOMENAL. This is definitely a regular place for me now. Service + food was A++
