The gastropub burger was one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever had in my life! Staff was friendly as well. Only thing I’d constructively suggest is improving the ambience- like maybe some table flowers, plants, mood light. Food tasted 5 star but the atmosphere felt like there was room for improvement. Overall had a great experience and I’ll definitely be back!

I know vegan food in the valley is usually trash but I gave this place a chance and it still disappointed me. I ordered the nachos and a kids Mac and cheese with fries. The nachos were some of the most atrocious things Ive ever tried at a vegan restaurant. The vegan cheese sauce tastes sweet for some reason and it leaves a gross after taste that took awhile to wash down. Theyre definitely not nachos and are more like chips with corn and sugar and a sprig of cilantro. For what theyre charging youd expect more. The kids meal actually wasnt bad surprisingly. The Mac and cheese tasted like the daiya brand and was fine. They really skimped on the fries because the bag wasnt even halfway full of skinny greasy fries. The watermelon Fresca is underwhelming, I wouldnt even know its watermelon if I didnt order it myself. The only thing Id say was actually worth the money and delicious was the chocolate chip cookie. Its perfectly sweet, soft, and fresh. I was hoping to have somewhere to get vegan food other than chef Tanyas, but after those terrifying nachos, Im never coming back. Just another overpriced tourist restaurant like all the rest dont waste your time or money.

It’s a great place for vegan food 🌱and we very much enjoy coming back to this location since many years. I’m sure you guys make it without a big corporation in the neck and maybe you have the chance to bring back some of the „old“ original. All the best and see you soon

This place is DELICIOUS!! EVERYTHING IS VEGAN! We went out to Palm Springs for the Desert X Exhibits and were hungry, we found this place on Google, looked good, and was reasonably priced. We stopped in and didnt regret it. Its small, they have some seats indoors, and a small patio. You order at the register, and they bring your food to you. I had a crunch wrap supreme with fries, omg!! I havent had a crunch wrap in about 8 years, other than the black bean one at Taco Bell, but thats not the same as the original. This crunch wrap had vegan meat, avocado, cheese, a spicy cream sauce, tomato, lettuce. The only thing it needed was some sour cream. I was truly in heaven. The service was good. The server was nice, and I had a sense of humor. It was a good vibe.The only suggestion is to get someone to monitor the bathrooms, so the bathrooms are outside down a corridor, I believe they are shared by other businesses. So its not Native Foods sole responsibility. The bathrooms were kinda dirty, and 2 of the 3 toilets didnt work. Other than that, everything was great, and I will definitely look up Native foods wherever I am in the future. It was truly euphoric.

Our favorite Tuesday dinner is at Native Foods especially Tyndal Tuesdays this month! Our favorite Chikn sandwiches are the Nashville Hot (my fave) and the Buffalo Chkn run ranch (husbands fave) but the Chkn Bacon Avocado club is great also but needs more chipotle sauce to make it excellent like others.

One of my favorite vegan eateries. The Los Angeles location closed permanently, so did the Culver City location. Cant believe I now have to drive out to Palm Springs and or San Diego in order to get my Native Foods fix. Please open a new location in LA please a.s.a.p.

Great vegetarian place. Im not vegetarian either :-) My wife and I wanted to try something new and different. My wife had the Nashville chicken and I had the chicken bacon avocado sandwich. My wife sandwich said it was good but my sandwich, man I was mind blowed by the bacon. The plant based chicken was good but the bacon I couldnt believe it was planted based too because it tasted so close to the real thing. Drinks we had the watermelon and lemonade. Lemonade was very strong and the watermelon was very good (i recommend it) Fries are fries 🍟. Over all I am amazed with vegetarian food here since it was my first time. I like it and recommend this place.

I spent time in Palm Springs and found the most wonderful Vegan restaurant I have ever dined at. I love the staff that work there, and they are personable, kind, and gracious. While traveling, I always seem to have a difficult time finding an eating establishment that offers vegetarian/vegan cuisine. And, when I have found one, as I have traveled all over the USA and abroad, many times the items are limited to a simple tofu dish or two. I hate hotel food, and it goes without saying that I try to do my research before traveling. Many restaurants advertise that they have a side menu for those who are vegan. I used dine-and-dash, and I ordered from one restaurant in Minneapolis, and all I got was a. bowl full of noodles, some broccoli, and indigestion.I think that I tried everything on the menu during my week in Palm Springs (from the spicy Nashville, the Orange Cauliflower, the AMAZING vegan macaroni-and-cheese, to the delicious vegan chocolate chip cookies. All I can say is DELICIOUS! If I had to be in town any longer, I would definitely needed cool sculpting and/or another gym membership (I am saying that tongue-in-cheek). I tried other dishes, and each one blew my pallet away. Now that I am back in North Carolina, I am actually going through separation anxiety, not from the wonderful people of Palm Springs, but my FAVORITE vegan eatery.I really want to thank Shawn and the young lady who was working the cash register (I am blocking on her name) for making me feel like a welcome guest in their home. Shawn took the time to explain various facets of the vegan lifestyle, while the cashiers was again patient, kind, and worked with me in narrowing down my item selections---Holy Pete, it was hard. I actually ordered two or three entrees just to try a little of this, and a little of that. My only regret? Well, its simple! Not being able to sneak it through TSA. When I return to PS, I am going to be hitting the establishment regularly. Such WONDERFUL food and staff. Check it out, you will LOVE it!

The customer service use to be great. They have a lady with red hair and glasses working there now that always seems miserable. Instead of smiling she rudely hands you your food and walks away. It use to feel like a happy place to come. Her energy makes me never want to walk back in the restaurant.

Food was absolutely delicous. I was dissapointed they didnt have gluten free buns, so went with the kale bowl, which I fell in love with. They did have gluten free vegan mac and cheese, which was delicous surprise. Prices are great and food is plant based, which is nice to find.

We ordered burgers and bowl today. They didnt include a burger pattie and refused to correct their mistake.The employees dont care but Im sure the owner does.Employees should have offered to have us pick up a burger meat but said no.They declined to correct their mistake in any way.

The concept of this space had me very excited. The staff and service were excellent. And note I am not a picky eater, however my CRAZY GOOD GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH was so salty I could not finish it and I love salt Im guessing it was the chipotle sauce because once I separated that I was at least able to eat the chicken. Even the French fries were too salty. My daughter had the brisket burger which was better but still heavy on the salt. I wish this business the best but let folks add their own salt. PS Offer more organic buns.

I’m so excited I found this Native Foods Cafe in Palm Springs, California. The food and service here are fantastic, just as good as the one in Chicago. The oatmeal cream pie is the absolute BEST! They should package that pie and sell it. If you haven’t tried it, DO IT!

The food here is really as tasty as it sounds. There are tons of options, and a small section for kids as well. Plenty of seating both inside and outside. The music is not overly loud or obnoxious. You order at the cashier, pick a seat, and they bring your food out to you when ready.Even if youre not vegetarian or vegan, I really recommend checking this place out. My omnivore boyfriend actually enjoyed everything we ate, from the burger and chili cheese fries to the hot wings (he actually ate most of the last two!) Definitely 5 stars from the both of us.

Nice vegetarian food but we were extremely disappointed by the attitude of the staff member who was present when we visited. There were a few empty tables when we visited and a fewfolks in line but the first reaction of this lady was to almost shoo us away indicating the place was busy. We were then ready to stand in line while few of our group (we were 2 families) sat at a table while waiting. She got upset at us telling us we were taking away spaces from those standing in line inspite of the fact that there were enough empty tables to accomodate the 3 ppl/groups in line. This was verified by the fact that in 20 mins we were the only people left as other customers left. In addition the lady/staffer went to the guy at the ordering desk complaining about us and asking him not to take her order. Credit to him for ignoring her silly attitude. The 1 star was forthe decent food amidst what was a very abysmal customer service.P.S by the way the rude staffer is the “lady with glasses” also referred to in another review below.

The benchmark for veganism isnt imitation, but replacement. Not fake meat that feels close to the real deal. No, it must be indistinguishable and taste phenomenally, thus rendering consuming actual meat unnecessary.This experience was nothing but a pricey rip off. Afterward, I predicted that this would do little–even nothing–to help vegan food becoming commonplace.Im talking about Native Foods limited item birria quesadillas, which was my lunch to pick up on a busy Wednesday noon. It came with seasoned fries. I also selected an appetizer: small portion of chicken tenders tossed in Thai chili cilantro sauce.The quesadillas simply didnt work. I could recognize immediately I was consome-ing a sad copycat. In this case, Id guess their recipe flunked on spices. Or, a bad chef, perhaps. Either way, not being able to use real/flavorful meat didnt help.I disliked that those fries were soft only minutes after preparation (when I got them). I did feverishly devoured those soggy but yummy sauced wings—they saved the restaurant a star.In total (with tip), I spent over $30. Great for the restaurants bottom line; not so effective in making this stuff accessible or helping the planet.

Food is decent, staff is okay, management is horrible. Ive ate food here before and I like it, but this afternoon the supposedly manager lady with glasses and a mask rudely told me to leave when I was eat and drinking something out in the patio. I didnt purchase anything, just sat down to drink cold drinks in the shaded patio that I thought was for the Smoke tree Plaza. They dont have It posted customers only. There used to be patio table and chairs in the courtyard area but it seems it was taken away. Sitting outside in a shaded patio shouldnt be an issue with a business in the desert when they have A/C seating inside. Honestly, not what I was expecting. After reading all the good reviews I was very excited about ordering from here, but it wasnt great. The cauliflower poboy wasnt a poboy, it was just a cauliflower sandwich. It wasnt bad but i wouldnt recommend. My husband got the jalapeño burger and it was good, but the kale side was not good - just tested like water.

Food tasted like litteral garbage. Im grossed out just thinking about how bad it was. We both got really bad stomach ache after eating here. Native Foods used to be amazing, full of flavor and fresh wholesome ingredients but I guess they got bought out and now its just flavorless, nasty textures and very poor quality ingredients. I had a nice evening planned but after we ate here we were bloated and nauseous for the rest of the night so it basically ruined everything.

I have been enjoying food here for many years. I like the dining area, its small but has a positive and relaxing vibe. Nice patio and friendly employees. Best watermelon drink Ive ever had. I go for the chicken wrap or burger, fries and vegan ranch. I love enjoying foods like these knowing it is not cross contaminated with meat or anything like that. Plus you feel good after eating it. We need way more vegan/vegetarian eateries in PS!Great for easy pickup or dining in.Also the customer loyalty program moved over to the app. I got $5 off using it for the first time.

The worst service I have EVER received!I am so sad, I am vegan and there are very few vegan restaurants in the area. I really want to support this restaurant, but I just cant! Veganism is a moral belief system and its first principle is kindness. This restaurant does not promote kindness. Native Foods cannot claim vegan but only plant based. I spent $60 on food. My two kid meals included kid sized drinks in small plastic cups. I asked for a few waters. Our server said I just gave a few water to the last guy and I dont think its a good idea because of the virus. I replied, I just spent $60. He said, so you want them? I said yes, please.We had just spend all day hiking in Joshua Tree and we were out of water and very thirsty. They also dont provide a key for the restroom, even though they did before the pandemic and they keep their outdoor patio tables stacked up, even though the surrounding restaurants all have their patios open and there are no mandates against outdoor dinning at the moment.When he brought us our food and kids drinks he said, I talked to my supervisor and I would need to charge you $2 per cup for Waters. Its because of the types of cups we use. I asked if he could fill my water bottle and he quickly said no and turned away. So first he said it was the virus, then he said it was because the cups were too expensive why he couldnt give us Waters even though we spent so much there already. I am a very unhappy vegan customer! 😞

We shared the Gastropub Burger, Buffalo Cauliflower, and the meatball sub.Both sandwiches were amazing! Great flavor, great texture, I wish there was a location where I live!(I was in Palm Springs to see family.The fries were fine, nothing special but we did get take up so maybe the trip home took away some freshness.The cauliflower had a great flavor but was really hoping for something crispier. The textures seemed reheated and soggy, however they were saved but what is easily the best vegan ranch I’ve ever had.If I could give my experience 4.75 stars I would. The cauliflower was a minor disappointment in an otherwise impressive meal.

What a great find! My dad is 82 & this was his first visit to a vegan restaurant. Im so glad they lived up to all their great reviews! The food was delicious!! My dad had the southwest burger, which had just the right bit of spice. I had the meatball bowl...wow! Were both good eaters & neither one of us could finish. His came with a side salad, that had a great house made balsamic dressing & I had the curry soup. It was all sooo good, and it didnt even set us back $30. Great experience... Ill be back soon... Probably tomorrow!!

If I could give this place a negative stars I would. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken and the po-boy. This place was a complete joke to what vegan food is. The flavor was awful! First off their “chicken” patty taste awful! The po-boy was all bread at 4 little cauliflower pieces. You can tell everything is previously frozen. We usually never eat out or attempt to eat at places like this and man was I shown why! Vegan food is so much better then this place is representing. We immediately had stomach aches after eating here. You’re better off getting a veggie sandwich from subway.

Was disappointed with this location as compared to others we have visited. They do not have a Native foods anywhere near home for us, so its always a destination spot when we travel to a city that has one. The food was pretty good here, but missing some of the care we normally see in preparation. Our chicken sandwich fixings were just slapped onto the sandwich in piles forcing us to have to take it apart and rebuild the sandwich correctly. The slaw was very dry, almost as if the dressing was forgotten. The soul bowl and sweet potato fries were good, as usual The desserts were exceptional as usual; the peanut butter brownie parfait making our mouths water for more. Service was OK. Location was goofy, tucked deep into a shopping strip with little to no directional signage. The bathroom situation was questionable. Beer selection was typical, light, and included a local option...which I enjoyed. Overall, we found this specific location lacking as compared to other locations and probably would not return unless we had a gift card or something we had to use. Maybe we will try next trip just to see if we showed up on an off night.

We are visiting Palm Springs for the first time and looked up vegan food as soon as we got to our Airbnb. We found Native Foods and thought the menu sounded great, so we ordered online and we’re so glad we did because the food was delicious! We ordered the gastroburger, chicken wings, cauliflower bites, the chicken bacon avocado sandwich, and the oatmeal cookie. After a very long few days of traveling it totally hit the spot. Delicious organic plant based foods made from scratch. The burgers are fantastic and filling! I order take out from here every chance I get. My orders are always ready fast, prepared correctly, delicious, and affordable. I recommend Native Foods to anyone that’s concerned about what they eat or are trying to find healthy food that tastes good. If your sugar sensitive, some of their sauces do contain sugar. Native Foods has been a great food resource for this homeless nomad during the covid-19 pandemic!!! Thank you 🙏

It had been years since my hubby and I had eaten at Native Foods since we dont live in the area, but when we returned July 2021, it was as delicious as we had remembered, if not better! Although we are long-time vegetarians, this is a must-try for non-vegetarians as well! 😋We ate on their patio, as we are still easing back into outdoor dining during the uncertainties of COVID-19.I tried the Crazy Good Grilled Chicken Sandwich which combines 2 of my fave flaves truffle and arugula, and was truly crazy good! 🍄🌿My hubs tried the Chicken Run Ranch and we both comboed with Seasoned Fries.🍟September while in the area we returned to their patio to enjoy our respective hand held combos, and took to-go for the next day, the new Hot Honee and one of my old faves, the Chicken Bacon & Avo Club.We typically wash it all down with tasty Lavender Lemonades 🍋

We are from England and decided to check this place out as we are both vegetarian and prefer not to eat dairy or eggs. We were so impressed with Native foods. It was unassuming and not trying too hard to be a ‘hip vegan cafe’ but instead offered friendly staff, a varied menu and delicious food. Mourning that fantastic vegetarian menu, I did have a excellent reuben sandwich, which was a special not actually on the rather extensive menu of non-vegetarian offerings. The corned beef was perfectly juicy and melded perfectly with the flavors of the Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Russian dressing and rye bread. One of the best Reubens Ive had. But they had produced a slick, full page, full color, laminated graphic announcing this special sandwich, yet they couldnt wipe the word vegetarian off the window. Strange.

Today I enjoyed the orange cauliflower and my companion ordered thus months Cordon Bleu sandwich with potato salad and reported it was great meal...loved stopping here after coming from Palm Springs airport. This is my second visit, first time I had the tempeh tacos which were good, this time I tried the Scorpion burger, also made with tempeh and also good but uneven the bun was kind of dry and all thesauce was in the middle. It was tasty. Fries were good but lukewarm, I like my fries HOT. The service was excellent and the people watching, superb. I drove an hour from JT to try Native Foods for the first time. When I arrived the tables were mostly full, but there was no line. I was able to place my order (chicken club with sweet potato fries) fairly quickly. Then I waited, and waited, and waited! Finally 25 minutes later, when I noticed that most of the people who were there when I got there had eaten their food and left already, I decided to inquire about my food. She checked the kitchen and came out a few minutes later and said that mine was coming up next. She brought it out and it was COLD. I decided to eat it anyway, since I hate food waste. I came here during my visit from out of town. I was looking forward to the vegan food but was disappointed. The word chicken is used so often I think people might order a burger and be surprised that they don’t get a chicken breast. Instead of a chickpea or mushroom patty, the burger patties are some sort of processed fake meat which I really did not enjoy. The salads that the people were eating at the table next to me did look good, making me wish I had ordered that instead!

We came in as a large group (8) and 7 of us purchased food, but one family member due to the food allergies (nuts) cant really safely eat anything on the menu so they bought food at a different nearby restaurant and brought it in.When the staff brought the food out to us in the seating area and saw the outside food, they immediately asked them rudely to leave since outside food isnt allowed.I can understand not wanting to allow outside food, but the rudeness of the staff and the fact that the rest of our large group were paying customers leaves a sour taste in our mouth despite how good the food itself was since they didnt even try to work with us.Not really wanting to go back and support them if this is how they treat customers with food allergies who simply want to share a meal but need to eat different food for their own safety.

Ive been eating at this location for many years. I am never disappointed. I will find something delicious and then become addicted for awhile until I burn out and fixate on something new. My latest thrill is the barbeque chicken salad. OMG its good. The location is unimportant. Who cares? So what if you order at the register. Who cares? The wait staff is great. I love this place but they have a fly problem. The door stays open and doesnt shut all the way and theres no airblower or anything to keep the flies out. Also, used to LOVE the chicken and waffles you guys used to serve. Was the best item on the menu! So sad that its not on the menu anymore. Also the salad with the mango lime dressing!?!?! As a family we go out of our way when travelling to make as many visits to Native Foods locations nearby. The location in Palm Springs has never failed to provide the very best in food and service, and reading the isolated negative reviews makes me wonder a bit about Googles lack of filter for negative reviews that run exceptionally mean (theres an especially rich one that relegates a manager to some classist tropes that are only true to the eye of the reviewer). Rude service. Guy wearing a mask made of cotton shirt material thought me covering my face with my shirt (not safe n95 make identical cotton material widely know to not protect anything) plus the plexi glass wasn’t good enough to protect him from the rona so had to step outside now two feet away from my face with no plexi glass and my shirt no longer needed to cover myself. I have severe asthma and dermatitis caused by masks but they don’t care about any medical exemptions. Dont get me wrong I love dogs but his face was less then 2 inches from the table and he was getting dog hair everywhere. My husband and I had to move a seat over. I have been to several locations and this one had similar good food. The service was lacking and there were many tables unbussed that could have been used. Instead, customers were forced to sit at dirty tables. Several employees walked by, but didnt clear the tables. We were a little disappointed.
