Nectarine Grove is a favorite. Almost everything, if not everything, on the menu, is gluten free. They have a wide variety of food options and everything I’ve ordered here tastes delicious! One of the few restaurants around that also does not cook with seed oils!Chicken and Waffles (The chicken is plantain crusted!), Breakfast Tacos, Chimichurri Steak Bowl, & the Pizzas are a handful of personal favorites. They have a cooler full of rotating desserts that are all really tasty as well. The staff is friendly and attentive. Many of them have actually become friends over the years. They also stock a large selection and variety of drinks. From coffees, to beer and kombuchas, and specialty drink choices. Though I usually stick with the free water.Stoked to have Nectarine Grove in San Diego. We need more restaurants that cook with real butter, coconut oil, and quality whole food ingredients.It’s fairly easy to spend $20-$30 here per person, but I always leave feeling like it was well worth it, & satisfied!

They have beachy and airy vibes. Several different food and cafe options. Mostly gluten free. We got the half Best pesto pizza. It was a teeny bit saltier than I expected but it was really good otherwise. Lots of cheese, lots of pesto, lots of onions and the gluten-free crust held well. In fact, while we only got the half, I couldve eaten more because of how light the crust was. They are open until 7 pm so just keep that in mind. Nice place to visit if youre walking around Leucadia.

This is an awesome little spot. The menu is a good mix of casual food, but the best part is that entire menu is gluten free and I felt extremely safe eating here with dietary restrictions. We got an iced matcha latte, a club sandwich and a cinnamon roll, which were all delicious. We saw multiple pizzas walk by and regretted not getting one of those.It looks pretty unassuming on the side of the road, but we spent over an hour here and there was a constant flow of customers. Couples, families, younger groups of what looked to be sports teams, solo diners enjoying a nice Sunday afternoon - everyone seems to like this place!The only thing I would change is that the fries were a little over cooked, so I would have gotten the salad on the side instead.

Overall the food is good, priced a little high. From a GF stand point its great to have a place you can trust with a moderate amount of choices. That being said, the family didnt love everything we had. Get the pesto pizza & steak chimchurri, maybe skip the carne asada fries & chicken tenders. And the coffee and chai lattes were yum!

I absolutely loved this coffee place! Its super cute, and the coffee is excellent. The avocado toast was really good, accompanied by a delightful side salad. Dont miss out on their amazing muffins, especially the carrot muffin. The staff is incredibly friendly. Well definitely be returning!

Love this spot. If you follow a gluten free/paleo/healthy diet of any sort, chances are, you will love Nectarine also. Variety of healthy options, that actually taste delicious. Pizzas, chicken and waffles, breakfast Tacos, healthy bowls, you name it, they’ve got it and it probably tastes amazing. All without wheat or seed oils. They cook with butter and coconut oil and clean ingredients. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Several of them have become friends. And the cooler full of desserts are top 👌. Highly recommend. Only heads up is they can be quite busy at times, and if you’re like me, it can be easy to spend a lot of money here. 😄 Great Spot!

A varied gluten free cafe, with great sweets and variety, topped off with kind attentive service. We had the cinnamon roll, waffles, grove salad and protein plate, all of which were excellent. In addition, a nice double shoot of expresso on the sunny patio made for a nice stop on our trip today.

Yum! The food was really good here. I had the vegan waffles and bf had a burger. The fries were excellent! The service was not the best however. I ordered the waffle and said no almond ricotta, Im allergic. Then they brought me tacos. When I said I got the vegan waffle without the almond ricotta the server said we dont have that. I turned around and pointed at it on the menu and she was like oh okay. When she left, the table near us called out dont worry, she did the same thing to them. Luckily someone else had ordered them so I got them quickly but when we left the table (who was there before us btw) was still waiting for an item they ordered. Now it was really busy but still, they werent apologetic at all and now that I think about it we were charged wrong even. Also the girl who took our order was pretty unresponsive to my questions so just not great service.

Nectarine grove is a great spot for quick bites to eat with decent seating both inside and outside. Much of their menu is dietary conscious and their butter coffee is a must if you’re a first time visitor. My personal favorite menu item was the cinnamon roll though. It’s gluten free and vegan and so delicious. I highly recommend Nectarine Grove before your beach trip!

So grateful to have Nectarine Grove locally! As someone who is gluten, dairy and soy free, it is so easy to eat here. Their food is fresh and so tasty! I love the plantain chicken fingers, their bowls, and farmers market scramble. But I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

There are not enough words to describe how much I love this place. Their chicken and waffles are unmatched, as are the pancakes, chicken tenders, fries, carne asada fries and many baked goods! Also their pizzas are great too, just dont expect a traditional pizza crust!

If youre down for a chill place where EVERYTHING is Gluten Free, this spot is the BEST. I always go with their breakfast tacos made with cassava tortillas and their gluten free cinnamon roll which is to die for. Their nitro cold brew hits every time. My wife and I have been here every time we visit Encinitas which is a couple times a year. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing food, service is ok, portions are a little small but quality is great. Gluten free friendly!The protein plate with turkey sausage was delicious, and the breakfast sandwich with turkey was also amazing. The space indoor is small, so it could get crowded. There is no table service. There are plenty of gluten free options, including desserts.

We came here for breakfast with my disabled cousin. We really liked the smoothies and were super happy to have many healthy options that could be made dairy free and accomodate other diet restrictions. The whole restaurant is very accessible with no difficult steps, wide doors, and a handicap all gender bathroom.

This place is a celiacs dream! The entire restaurant is gluten free, so get ready to indulge in delicious fried chicken, french fries and more!! The fajita bowl, chicken Sammie, falafel tacos and chicken and waffles are amazing. But dont stop there, because their brownies and cinnamon rolls are a must try. The environment is laid back, coastal chill and always hopin. Very dog friendly and youll find families, young and older couples and yogis enjoying this place. It can get busy, with a line that looks very long, but it goes pretty quickly and the food delivery is quick (as long as there isnt too many to-go orders). Parking is fine, just park across the street in the dirt by the train tracks. If you go on the weekends, around 1pm, then you might get lucky and get some live music!

Delicious vegan breakfast tacos on grain free tacos. This is a great place for vegans. While there aren’t loads of options, they do an excellent job on what is offered. All made from scratch, no fake meats. House made almond and cashew milk (unsweetened) available at no upcharge. This is not a place where you feel awkward or fringe for choosing not to eat animal products. Super knowledgeable, patient and friendly counter staff.Bonus amble outdoor seating for a variety of party sizes. Road noise wasn’t bad, a few loud trains though. Asked for “for here” ware and avoided any single use stuff.

I have been craving a crispy chicken sandwich for a while and this was amazing! I totally recommend it. I also got to try and Ollipop for the first time and that was awesome! I think the chicken sandwich is only like $16 but youll definitely want to spend like $30 on yourself because they have desserts and smoothies and coffee and all their options look delicious. If youre in the area you should definitely go and you should definitely splurge! Everything my sister and I tried was amazing. Ill have to go back in the area so that I can get the carne asada french fries. If only I could have eaten more food today! My sister bought a cinnamon roll but I got to taste the bite of and Im disappointed that I didnt buy myself a cinnamon roll. If you like cinnamon rolls and youve been missing them you should definitely treat yourself. Were so full and we definitely ate too much food but we dont go out to restaurants often because we dont trust the food because we have to be gluten free and this was a fantastic welcoming option. Truly a gluten free paradise!

A quaint cafe located on the PCH in Encinitas that is a great spot if you looking for a farm fresh and healthy breakfast or lunch. They have a host of health conscious options including gluten free, paleo, and vegan options. They have a lovely patio and Ive tried several dishes which have all been great quality and delicious. The worst thing about this place is that we dont have a local one in Tacoma! Great ingredients, organic, and the entire place is gluten free! I actually got greens for breakfast, if only more places could do that. It is more expensive than most places, but you are paying for quality. Their products use stuff we would have in our kitchen! Had the Ahi Tuna bowl and it was frankly, pretty terrible. The tuna was not fresh and tasted frozen. The “salad” was this old cabbage. The only good point for the salad was aioli sauce which was delicious but yea the rest was bad and specially for the price. I will say this is the only thing I tried and I could see other peoples orders and their more breakfast-y items looked good so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

The pesto scramble was fantastic ( had probably twice the amount of pesto necessary but it was fine LOL) and the breakfast tacos were very filling and tasty.The coffee, while very good, is VERY pricey for what it is even in Encinitas. $7 for a latte? Come on now... there are plenty of coffee places who make the exact same thing for less and with even more options. HOWEVER, Everything was very very good and as a whole I felt that the food was reasonably priced which balanced out the high coffee prices. I would go again for sure!

If you can afford it, even if its just once a month or something, this is definitely the place to go. The prices are high, but the food and overall experience is absolutely worth it. If you only get food and water, expect to pay at least $15 - $20 per person plus tax and tip. My fiancée and I each got an entree, we each got a drink and we got a dessert to split. All in, with tax and tip, it was $65. This is one of my favorite places in San Diego, Ive been coming for years, but since COVID their prices have skyrocketed (just like everywhere else). After speaking the owner I understand that theyre in a tough position just like consumers are. They cant get around increasing food costs, increasing transportation costs and increasing utilities costs (thanks SDG&E), just like the rest of us. From what I can tell they really do care about their employees, their customers and the food that they serve. The silver lining to this price situation is that the portion size is typically enough to either share with someone or eat half and have the leftovers for another meal.

Had an amazing GF pear tarte that convinced me to eat dessert for dinner. A half pizza that was also vegan, GF and full of veggies exceeded my expectations. Wow, this place did not disappoint! We were a party of 7, so I got to taste quite a few different things, and they were all tasty. My tacos were amazing, and so were the fries! 100% gluten free errthing! might be the best GF cinnamon roll i’ve had (but i have yet to try mariposa’s in oakland). if you gave it to someone without telling them, they’d never know it was GF. the maple cream cheese frosting is amazing.chicken was perfectly fried but not as juicy as calvin’s fried chicken (also GF). i really liked the maple syrup and coleslaw was slightly sweet and better than your norm.

Gluten. Free. Cinnamon Rolls. That actually look and taste almost identical to real cinnamon rolls. That alone places this cafe into the “life-changing” category for me, and I might have to move to Encinitas for these alone. Ten years having to avoid gluten will do that to a person.I also had the crispy chicken salad, which was great, although the chicken was a tad overcooked. The dressing was delicious, though, and all the veggies were very crisp and fresh. My husband (who is not gf) got the crispy chicken sandwich and loved it. Using plantain chips for the coating is a genius move. He also said the gf bun was great and held together *much* better than most gf breads.We plan to visit at least once more before heading home, to try more of their healthy, fresh and gluten-free fare!

I hadn’t been to Encinitas ⛱ since my diagnosis of a gluten sensitivity so this was a huge discovery! 💥 Nectarine Grove is just what the doctor ordered. 👨‍⚕️I ordered the 🥚Pesto Veggie Scramble and really liked how the veggies were diced into small pieces. 🥒I’m not a fan of big veggie chunks. Also, they have pre-prepared cups of hot sauce 🌶 (sriracha and jalapeño) ready and waiting for you. I’ll definitely be back. 🏆

This restaurant was amazing. Our friend with recently triggered celiac disease was able to eat whatever she wanted for the first time since she was diagnosed last year. We accidentally found this little place driving up Coast Highway and are very glad we did. We dont typically go to health food restaurants, but this one is both that and very tasty. I eat very healthy food because of a medical condition, but Im usually with my husband or my son who like things a little stouter. And since we dont drink coffee, we rarely go to a place that is one of the modern coffee stops. Nectarine Grove merges the coffee stop with its health food emphasis. We very much enjoyed our salads there, though we felt a little out of place as senior citizens; well probably use take out in the future. It is counter serve, and the lack of extra service kind of fits the ambiance. Note that it is NOT VEGETARIAN, though non-meat eaters will find plenty of options! The counter person did not know the difference between vinaigrette dressing and vinaigrette base, which was kind of a lesson for us, but it was remedied quickly. Well go again soon and recommend it to anyone interested in lighter fare.

I am a big fan of this place. I am gluten free and paleo and that makes up the vast majority of the fare here. The setup leaves something to be desired if you just only want a pastry or coffee but its worth waiting in the often slow line. The cookies are really good not just good for g-free. Hello, sadly I wish my visit to the restaurant was as good as others but it wasnt. People sometimes ask me if I only write good or bad reviews. I try to write a review when my experience is affected both good and bad. I had a bad one here. Long wait for food but thats ok because they were busy on a Sunday. But I ordered the Waffle and it came out as hard as a rock!! Im not joking. Presentation was nice but no fork or knife was getting through it. I brought it back in and she offered me a new order. I chose the breakfast Tacos I believe and they were good. I saw others order it and decided to go with that. Problem was it took another 20 minutes and that took up more of our beach time. And on top of all this, the coffee was seriously cold, not even warm. She warmed it up with the Espresso Machine steam wand after I brought it back in. Not a great experience and for the prices they charge I expected better. Hopefully your experience will be better.

Having this many delicious options with celiac disease is such a blessing. My wife and I went for breakfast where I got chicken and waffles, and my wife got eggs benedict. It was so good that we came back for dinner to try their pizza and chicken sammie. All four meals were delightful, and when we come back to San Diego in the future, it will be on the list every time to visit again!

I love the fact that everything is gluten free. It just makes things so much easier. As if that wasnt enough, everything we had was delicious. Pepperoni pizza with the best pizza weve had in the area. The roasted vegetable bowl that I got was so filling and yummy. So glad I added steak because it really made it a great meal. I had to ask for my deserts before I left they sold my deserts that only had one left and insted of letting me know they replaced it with a lesser price item and didnt say anything, Lucky I checked and asked them and they said they were sorry and refunded me for the missing item. I love Nectarine Grove, its my favorite paleo restaurants with Tons of different options to choose from, even my non paleo dad loves this place, my favorite is the chicken and waffles, having a few dietary restrictions myself or being mindful about what Im eating this place is great! Ive gone back multiple times the food is really good, and everyone is so nice here. My brother was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease. It is extremely frustrating for him. Today I took him there for his birthday. Parking is limited but it’s worth it. They sell extra stuff outside of their menu like English muffins, and donuts. As a disclaimer, Ive only tried some coffee drinks, the black bottom muffin, pecan cookie, and salt double chocolate cookie. The decaf flat white and decaf americano that I had were well prepared and had a creamy texture to them. The black bottom muffin was great, it had a cheesecake-like feel to it and was not overly sweet. The pecan cookie was caramely and chewy with a very savory flavor. The double chocolate cookie was mild, but you can really taste the chocolate after chewing for a bit. It has salt in it which adds a little savory twist. Based on the coffee and baked goods, Id say this is a great place with carefully prepared food. The prices are a little higher than average, but also not unusual for the location.

It’s not that the staff aren’t friendly, they’re just simply inattentive and unprofessional. There aren’t many gluten free places to choose from. The current manager drove me away. Very unpleasant interactions with him. I’ve had other employees apologize for his words and actions. Recently spoke to a sweet ex employer who left and cited him. It’s sad. I’d love to go back and will return regularly when he leaves I’m afraid. If youre looking for a restauraunt that serves a whole host of healthy foods, this is the place. Its a cute little place on PCH in Leaucadia which doesnt look a whole lot different than it did in the 70s, which is wonderful. Oh yeah, get the Butter Latte. Omg...wonderful.

The cleanest freshest tasty food in Leucadia area. The steak tacos are sooooo good! Pizza is definitely worth trying as well as the plaintain crusted chicken. One of the healthiest places to eat with gluten free and Paleo as a standard. They have a lot of sugary drinks and treats but will accommodate taking out additional fruits, added syrup, etc. Buttered coffee, smoothies, and bone broth. High recommend!

I got a classic burger, it was tasty, but very small, and not worth the $13.5. the frys were kinda meh. My wife ordered a drink. After we had paid and sat down, they came and said they were out of that drink and asked if she just wanted this other one instead, and hander her a drink. My wife tried it and didnt like it. She asked if she could get a smoothie instead and they said something along the lines of. The smoothies cost more.. The drink she originally brought out was less than the one my wife ordered, and they didnt bother offering us the difference.

I would give this place a 5 star if it wasnt for the service I received on my last visit. The food is amazing and delicious while being completely allergy friendly! Ive gone back on multiple occasions to try more of the menu because everything has been so good. But, service wise my last visit was a disappointment. I called in my order for pick-up this time and had to call back three times because each time I was put on hold the Line hung up on me, finally on my fourth try I politely let the woman who was answering the phone each time that I was continually being hung up on and she responded to me with annoyance and attitude and told me it must have been my fault. When I finally came in to pick up my order I was greeted without any eye contact from the woman and attitude. She quickly dealt with me and moved onto the neck customer that came in without even acknowledging my thank you. She seemed unhappy to be doing her job in my opinion which is just an extreme turn off when it comes to customer service. I will go back because I love the food in hopes of better service.

This place is right up a holistic nutritionists alley. Amazing food, amazing deserts, and killer almond milk to go with those deserts. The magic bar is my weakness. What makes the deserts here a go to for me is that they arent loaded with sugar and yet still amazing. The food is paleo, gluten free, clean, and guilt-free. A MUST when in the Encinitas area.

This location used to be El Torito, a small market. When it closed it was a sad day for Leucadia. Then Nectarine Grove moved in and I was very suspicious. Thought it would be just another excessively trendy hipster hangout. To my total surprise the food is outstanding. I cant get enough!

On the evening of 28NOV18 between 7:20 - 7:35PM, I walked into the Nectarine Grove (NG). I had just left my workplace, received some work emails, and decided to stop by NG to respond prior to heading to workout. As I made my way through the front door one of your employees asked, Are you here from DoorDash? I simply responded by asking, Are you guys open?. Given that NG closes at 8PM, I ordered a glass bottle Yerba Mate (wanted something with a lighter feel and taste than coffee) and added a $1 tip since the order was small. I sat down, opened my computer, and began answering emails. Since I have been to the NG on two previous occasions, my computer automatically remembered NGs WiFi network.Sometime later, the same employee that had asked if I was from DoorDash proceeded to ask if I had purchased something. I showed him the Yerba Mate. He then continued by asking if I was studying to which I responded by stating that I was answering work emails. As my email responses began to come to a halt, he came back again and asked the name of the company I worked for. I pointed to my backpack, which contains the logo of Clinical Research company in San Diego. I think your environment and decor are wonderful (the food is great too!). I also would have willingly purchased meals for the three couples that were sitting in the cafe at the time, if that was what was necessary to make my presence acceptable at NG. After the last encounter, I decided to leave. It was very clear that I was unwelcomed in the environment and it was 7:45PM. (Note: Id like to point out that all other interactions Ive had with your staff have been pleasant.)Why share this narrative of a near insignificant interaction? Because its 2018 and I was racially profiled in a Southern California town with supposed liberal leanings. I relocated from New York about two months ago. Us New Yorkers understand that success comes in various races, sizes, and manifestations. Thats not to say that racism and racial profiling doesnt occur in New York - it occurs everywhere, but there seems to be an air of openness in NY that I especially missed tonight. Im currently looking for a neighborhood in North County to make my permanent home and after tonights interactions, its very clear that the Encinitas/Leucadia neighborhood does not need nor want me. I apologize for having brown skin. I apologize for leaving my hair curled this AM. I apologize for not looking nor fitting the type/mold of your traditional clientele. Be well. Stay well.
