UPDATE NOVEMBER2019I gave a bad review bout a year ago, it has changed hands and is probably the best chinese food in the area. Very glad to have a great, local, place to go.Place has been local favorite for several years - mine also- but around 5-7 months ago, it changed hands and is not worth my repeat business.There were only 3 or 4 people inside when we entered and placed our order, but by the time wife and I got our food mine was cold and not very good at all. I hope they improve, but I wont be a test subject without several better reviews
We were in town for a volleyball tournament and decided we try this restaurant. Hands-down one of the best Chinese food restaurants I’ve eaten at!!!
I could not believe we found the BEST Chinese Restaurant in Woodlake. We were passing the little town of Woodlake and was craving for some REAL Chinese food this time. I must say this place is the BEST with GREAT FOOD, EXCELLENT customer service, and BEST PRICE Ever. I love the sizzling seafood, kung pao chicken, best honey walnut shrimp and so much more. I would drive 2.5 hrs just to visit this restaurant. Love it!!
Superb Chinese! They offer take home. The food was delicious and good in portions. We ordered two dishes for family of 3! Would definitely recommend!
The rice was cold. The tea was bad. The service was super slow. Shrimp were delicious.
Theyre food doesnt have good taste anymore, The server doesnt talk english so our order was messed up and he couldnt understand you, not even music playing, smelt weird, food tasted old and half-assed. I dont reccomend going here especially if you dont want a messed up stomach.
Service was okay but the good was far from decent. Food was doused in tons of sauce, which made it extremely salty.

Miss the previous owners/management. Food is no where near what it was. The lo mein used to be incredible and the food was the best in the area hands down. Now it is bland.
New China is a fantastic spot to use the restroom when you’re not home and you need to take care of your business. The lady thought I was there to eat but I just went to use their restrooms. I guess I should’ve bought something since I went in there.
Worst Chinese food I have ever had. It took over 45 minutes to get my food. Cook and hostess were both coughing all over the place. I’ll be surprised if I don’t get sick.
I came here with my family and it wasnt a good experience. Rude and uptight service. OK food for a very expensive price. I say if youre into it, try it.
Clean and fresh Chinese food in town. I especially love the crispy fry Chicken wings and other buffet dishes also nice and tasty.
The new China restaurant serve chow mein made out of all little noodles no vegetables no bean sprouts they served me shrimp that was cooked two days ago that was hard as a rock then they charge $25 for something we didnt even eat I cant recommend them
Their mushu shrimp is delicious 😋 worth giving them a try, new ownership. Will be returning soon 😁

2023-09-08 18:02:34This place has really yummy food. They are very accommodating, give nice large portions and are really easy to work with. They did a beautiful job on our wedding rehearsal dinner. I would definitely recommend them to anybody who just wants a nice dinner or is planning to feed a crowd.

2022-06-16 19:15:36The food was amazing. That being said there was a weird burnt smell in the building. Also service needs improvement. I waited for 10 minutes after out drinks were gone and had finished eating to go look for our server for out ticket. I found her around the corner sitting in a booth on her phone. We were the ONLY TABLE.

2019-04-22 03:01:26The teenage waitress did an outstanding job, ensuring that my family and I had a great dining experience. Also, this location has plastic straws, unlike most of the restaurants in California who have lost their mind in environmentalism that is more to show how self-righteous they are vice something that is actually useful. My son loved the Wonton soup and my wife thought he Shrimp Pho was too spicy. The manager gave a 10% military discount after I specifically asked for it.

2019-05-20 16:31:05Took my food to go to share with my sister, hot food cooked well, was able to get a meal and appetizer combo to share for 22 bucks, plenty of food. She tried fried cheese wontons for first time and loved them. Previous owners had bad reputation so my sister was leery. Ive had it since so was confident it would be good. Woodlake needs to give them a chance to show their food is better than before. Beef was tender, broccoli was crisp. Noodles were not greasy. Good food.

2017-12-27 00:39:13Food was terrible. The buffet food was old. They made fresh food but only enough for 3 people. There were 6 of us. We had to eat in shifts. And then the food they served was tasteless. We poured soy sauce for taste. That was wrong. We left very disappointed.
